Sunday Brunch

2012-09-30T11:00:00.000-04:00

Even though the official day of fall has come and gone, its still hot here in Atlanta. So hot that I can still wear shorts to brunch. This is the perfect outfit to head to brunch and then pop around some furniture stores in midtown. I feel like Carrie in the second Sex in the City movie... cheating on fashion with furniture.

Emmy's 2012: Best Dressed

2012-09-24T12:00:00.000-04:00

Ah the Emmys, the true beginning of awards season and the chance to judge the very dresses we recently saw strutted down the runways during fashion week. I mean who watches the actual awards, we all know its all about the dresses. This year was no different, there were some definite misses ( eh hem Connie Britton) and some absolute hits. Check out my picks for best dressed. Who made yours?

Julie Bowen in Monique Lhuillier

Tina Fey in Vivienne Westwood

Sofia Vergara in Zuhair Murad

Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen

Kat Dennings in J. Mendel

Allison Williams in Oscar de la Renta

Ginnifer Goodwin in Monique Lhuillier

Workin' Girl

2012-07-17T11:00:00.000-04:00

I know, I know. I've been really slacking in the blog department lately but it's for a good reason. Been out traveling for pleasure and for work. I've been loving my new job and even more than loving my new job is my new found love of fun new work clothes. How f-ing great is this skirt and surprising so affordable

Sunday Brunch

2012-06-30T10:00:00.000-04:00

With it being such a beautiful day out today it requires a Sunday brunch with an outdoor patio followed by a stroll in Piedmont Park. When it's this hot out (we're talking triple digits people!) it practically demands flow-y and easy breezy fabrics.

Happy Hour

2012-06-28T11:30:00.000-04:00

Best part of having a new job is enjoying happy hour with new coworkers and getting to know people. Another great part of the new job is a laid back dress code. This dress with a blazer is quite possibly the best day to night outfit for the summer heat that has taken over the South.

Birthday Suit

2012-06-20T11:00:00.000-04:00

Oh hey there. I have I not been around for a while? Well do please let me explain, I just returned from a family vacation to Sweden to visit friends and family, celebrated my birthday and I also just started a brand new job. Sooo to say things have been a little crazy around here is kind of an understatement but things that make me feel better is knowing I have a new white tuxedo jacket hanging in my closet. I love treating myself to birthday presents.

Sick Days

2012-05-29T10:48:00.000-04:00

Sorry for being MIA as of late but unfortunately the cruel flu found itself a new victim this past weekend. Poor timing as I missed all the festivities of the always fun and exciting memorial day weekend. The only positive about being sick this weekend was rekindling my love for Dawson's Creek and the twisted love triangle of my favorite Cape Cod high schoolers. I hope everyone else had a much more exciting and healthier weekend than I did!

date night

2012-05-22T11:00:00.000-04:00

Things have been pretty hectic lately so planning date nights with T is essential. We are both having a blast exploring new parts of Atlanta that we had no clue existed that we have more restaurants we want to try than probably even possible. The best part about all of this is the opportunity to dress up. My typical go to outfit is jeans and tops and this new aztec print top from All Saints is a new favorite. Obsessed.

Sunday Brunch

2012-05-20T12:00:00.000-04:00

Nothing more beautiful than a dusty rose cut off jean short. Am I right or am I right? Right. Especially when paired with sheer cream button downs. Perfect outfit for a sunday brunch followed by a trip to the airport as I am sadly leaving the wonderful city of Kansas City today and one of my beautiful best friends.

1 L.B.D. - 2 Ways

2012-05-18T10:30:00.000-04:00

Ah the lustrous little black dress. Oh how you might just be my favorite part of my closet... You versatile little thing, you. Nothing better than being able to take the same dress and give it 2 (although you can do many more) completely different looks by only adding different accessories. Also comes in handy when lending to your friends without them stealing you're entire look.

airport attire

2012-05-17T13:00:00.000-04:00

Well ladies and gents, I am off to the glamourous... Kansas City. Home of kick ass BBQ and one of my besties. Craving some much needed girl time and this requires a trip to the airport. I completely despise those people who show up to the airport in sweats and uggs. Ugh gross. I always try to look somewhat pulled together while maintaining a comfortable feel.

Put a little prep in your step

2012-05-15T12:28:00.000-04:00

Nothing like moving back down to the South to add a bit of prep into your wardrobe. Im dying over each one of these pieces as all together they create a fun preppy outfit but they work so great individually. Even better is that all these pieces are under $50...

Sunday Brunch

2012-05-06T10:00:00.000-04:00

After such a long day yesterday, another gorgeous wedding (!), the only thing I wanted was a big ole bloody mary... Ahhh and I can honestly say the last thing I wanted to do was try and look cute, which involves wearing a hat because I'm too lazy to do my hair. Go Braves!

Pink Pencil

2012-05-05T11:00:00.000-04:00

Just bought this cute pink pencil skirt yesterday from H&M for an amazing $17 bucks. Super excited to mix into my wardrobe and I think a little hint of mint. Some of my favorite colors that I haven't really had the chance to combine them so I think this is the perfect opportunity.

Perfect Spring Outfit

2012-04-25T10:06:00.001-04:00

While many of you may have other opinions (and that's fine) my idea of the perfect spring time outfit is a great fitting pair of white jeans with a silk cami. It is ultra seductive especially in this peach color with a little bit of a tan. If I could, I would wear this outfit everyday but I can't because I'm clumsy and my white jeans would get dirty in a matter of two minutes. O well, one can dream.

Sunday Brunch

2012-04-22T10:00:00.000-04:00

After yesterday's wedding there is nothing more my feet want than to soak in hot water and never put heels on again. But, alas, it is Sunday and that mean Brunch. Oh how I adore you brunch. Heading to midtown today to check out The Nook for some good eats.

Wedding Attire

2012-04-21T11:00:00.000-04:00

As I mentioned previously, I just started working with a new event planning company, Simply Charming Socials (check them out!), so there are tons of weddings in my future. Today's wedding is outdoors and a simple rule to follow for outdoor weddings is wearing a wedge. Trust me, I learn from experience. That said, this would be the perfect outfit for an outdoor spring wedding.

Happy Friday.

2012-04-20T11:00:00.000-04:00

It has been such wonderful weather lately that this Friday calls for working out on the back porch. Have another wedding tomorrow so it will again be a long Saturday but it is always so worth it. I promise to share pictures with you sometime next week. Its at a gorgeous venue in Monroe, GA. Its a long day so I won't be wearing any heels at all so I gotta work some serious ones when I get a chance. Im dying over these.

Lovely lace

2012-04-18T10:00:00.000-04:00

Sorry for being MIA the past week or so but I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I helped coordinate my first wedding this past Saturday and it was such a blast. I will fill you all in on it later but one of the things that really stood out was the amount of lace the guests wore. In such a variety of colors, it was incredibly refreshing and youthful.

Happy Egg-Hunting Day!

2012-04-08T10:00:00.001-04:00

Ah Easter Sunday is upon us which sadly means no brunch but it does my a delicious early dinner with family. THe thrill of hunting eggs, putting together easter baskets for the little ones, and marinating the lamb make this such a fun day in my house and a great day to combine pastels into ones wardrobe.

Hippie Attire

2012-04-03T11:00:00.000-04:00

There is something about a maxi skirt that just makes my inner hippie bust out. I want to wear too many bracelets, not wash my hair, and have a jacked up manicure. Good thing the OCD in me won't let that those last two happen but I do still love letting my inner hippe out.

Sunday Brunch

2012-04-01T09:30:00.000-04:00

My favorite day of the week is here. Sunday. Woop woop. Yesterday I played tennis and my legs are so sore its not even funny. So I need to let them breath in my new favorite shorts. Keeping it super casual today and need flats so that I don't trip on my face after bottomless mimosas! Woo sunday! Oh and happy april fools day!

Ladies Night Out

2012-03-30T13:00:00.000-04:00

"This is how we do it, its friday night, and I feel all right." - Can you name the artist? O yeah, its friday night which means its Ladies Night. Super excited for a girls night out, flirt with boys for free drinks and then ditch them at the bar. Ahhh I love ladies night...

Power Lunching

2012-03-29T14:26:00.000-04:00

Not that I'm a lady who lunches but I am a lady who does a power lunch. Meetings, meetings, meetings. Insane. If I could pick out any outfit of the internet for my power lunch it might have to be this... How insane is the leather pencil skirt (swoon) and this mcqueen peplum. Need I say more.

Top: Alexander McQueen // Pumps: Rupert Sanderson //

Pink & Red - fave color combo

2012-03-23T11:19:00.001-04:00

Happy friday errr-body! It is super rainy out today which just brings the mood straight down so I figured I need the brightest and cheeriest outfit ever. Pink and red has been a color combo that took over last fall but is easily transition-able into spring and summer.

Top: Elizabeth & James // Flats: H& M// Jeans: Oasis //
