Myriad group which had developed Alien dalvik, a virtual machine (a software layer) providing compatibility for native android applications, has released its version 2.0, providing support for tablets, TVs, automobiles and most importantly iPad. Alien dalvik allowed Android application to run (unmodified) on non–android operating systems like MeeGo and now has extended its compatibility to iOS.

But here’s the catch, Honeycomb tablet apps are not supported yet!!

Well the software is in beta, developers are still working on it. So as time passes, we can expect greater support which in turns provides larger access to apps.

But the problem doesn’t end here. For Alien Dalvik to run, the manufacturer needs to integrate it within their devices or at least allow it to be installed as an application. Given the strict monitoring policy of Apple, its future seems little bleak. But we may never know, given the new management Apple is now under.

Hidden Windows Wallpaper and Themes

Windows have some more themes and wallpaper hidden in its core windows folder. Actually when you installed

windows 7 on your PC it ask you to choose Language, time and Country, base on this windows install few themes

and wallpaper available for your Country. using this trick you can access the hidden wallpaper and themes of ther

country as well. Just follow the steps below..

go to the folder C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT jut by put this address on your windows explorer or even you can use the Run cmd (Win+R).
Now you will see so many folders named as MCT-AU,BR,CA,DE etc, these are all region specific thems and wallpaper folders.
Navigate to any folder say MCT-AU you can see 3 folders named as country name (here Austrialia), theme, and RSS, some folders may contain more than 3 folders.
Navigate to country name (here Austrialia) you will see the hidden wallpapers.
Navigate to theme for hidden themes.
Double click on the theme to open it and it will open the windows Personalization panel preview the theme, apply the theme of your wish.
You can use the theme same as the general theme customizing anything you want

All Restrictions of Windows Features using registry

Today you will learn how to Restrict windows features by modifying registry key, just follow the steps.

STEP 1: Open Registry Editor

All restrictions are based on Registry editing. So you'll need to open Registry Editor by providing regedit command in RUN or Start menu Search box and press Enter. After that go to the registry key mentioned in step 2.

STEP 2: Create Registry Key

Once you are in Registry Editor. Go to following keys and create or modify required DWORD value as mentioned below:

1. Restricting Desktop Properties

Go to following key:

Create new DWORD NoDispCPL and set its value to 1

2. Restricting Taskbar Properties

Go to following key:

Create new DWORD NoSetTaskbar and set its value to 1

3. Restricting System Properties

Go to following key:

Create new DWORD NoPropertiesMyComputer and set its value to 1

4. Restricting Folder Options

Go to following key:

Create new DWORD NoFolderOptions and set its value to 1

5. Restricting Registry Editor

Go to following key:

Create new DWORD DisableRegistryTools and set its value to 1

6. Restricting Task Manager

Go to following key:

Create new DWORD DisableTaskMgr and set its value to 1

7. Restricting Control Panel

Create new DWORD NoControlPanel and set its value to 1

8. Restricting Command Prompt

22. Restricting "New" option in context menu

And delete the value of Default, e.g., empty it.

23. Restricting "Send To" option in context menu

Go to following key:

And delete the value of Default, e.g., empty it.

24. Restricting any desired application

Go to following key:

Create new String value with any name, like 1 and set its value to the desired program's EXE file.

e.g., If you want to restrict msconfig, then create a String value 1 and set its value to msconfig.exe. If you want to restrict more programs, simply create more String values with names 2, 3 and so on and set their values to the program's exe file.

25. Restricting Drives in My Computer

Go to following key:

In right-side pane, create new DWORD NoViewOnDrive and change its value as following:

If you want more specific restrictions, like you want to restrict a combination of drives, you can use decimal no. instead of hexadecimal no. Following is a list for all drives decimal no.:

So if you want to disable a combination of drives, just sum their numbers and give the same value toNoViewOnDrive. e.g., for restricting C, D, E and F drives, give the value: 4+8+16+32 = 60

PS: You can also hide the drives using NoDrives DWORD value. The location and its value remain same as the above trick.

NOTE: If you want to remove the restriction, simply delete the DWORD or set its value to 0

How to Hide Windows Drive

Today we will discuss how to remove or rather more conveniently hide your drive from others without using any external software.

With the help of this trick, you'll be able to restrict / hide any desired drive in Windows so that no one can access that particular drive and see your valuable data.

just follow the steps below

1. Type diskmgmt.msc in RUN (Win+R) or start menu search box and press Enter. It'll open Disk Management window. Alternatively, you can right-click on Computer icon, select Manage option. It'll open Computer Management window. There you can access Disk Management present in Storage section.

2. Disk Management window will show a list of all partitions present in your hard disk. You just need to select the partition which you want to hide, right-click on it and select "Change Drive Letters and Paths" option. In our example, we are going to restrict E: drive.

3. As soon as you click on the option, it'll open a new dialog box which allows you to change or remove the drive letter. Click on Remove button.

4. Windows will show a warning message "Some programs that rely on drive letters might not run correctly. Are you sure you want to remove this drive letter?". Click on Yes button.

That's it. It'll immediately remove the selected drive from Windows Explorer.

Now all users will be unable to access that particular drive.

5. When you want to use that drive, again open Disk Management, right-click on that partition, again select same "Change Drive Letters and Paths" option and now click on Add button.

Now you can select the desired drive letter from the given list and click on OK button.

That's it. It'll show the drive again in Windows Explorer.

I Personally not use this trick to hide the drive, use any other drive hide or magic folder software instead.

You can also use Bit-locker to encrypt your drive with password (windows default) available only on pro and ultimate version of windows.
