Hello my friend, welcome to a new year!  2018 was full of lots of positive and exciting changes for me and my family, and these things will continue into 2019.  Here's a quick highlight update: 1. RMC Solo album: I've had the idea of doing a solo record for years, and it's slowly coming together. I've been working with a producer friend of mine Dan Brigham on a new instrumental

¡Fantástico! Based on my quick twitter survey, many of you are interested in a bass sample pack from me. I'm so happy because I've been messing around with the idea for about a year, but I'm just now starting to fine tune the idea. Soon, I'll be ready to release some fun and unique "one-shot" samples and loops of my Fender Precision bass across many bpm's and styles. However, I want to make sure

Hola MUTEMATH amigos! Many of you know that family is everything to me. I view my role as being a father and husband as top priority in my life. Perhaps, many of you do not realize that I have been a "touring father" for the last 9 years. As you can imagine, trying to balance touring life with my parental duties for my three beautiful children has always been a massive challenge for

In the last year, I've had the good fortune of meeting a talented songwriter/collaborator by the name of Cliff Littlefield. We started a new project called THE PINK DUST, and have a new record coming out October 1st, 2014. Please check out our youtube page to stream the songs from this new record: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxbVY_UoSrn5iFlswt0sCyQ In MUTEMATH news: we have been

Lots has happened since my last post. Where to begin? MUTEMATH: the 4th album is being worked on slowly but surely. A couple of trips to Los Angeles, Nashville, and Texas have helped the whole process along but it still remains to be seen when it will all be finished. I will be joining the guys in Texas soon to work on it some more. We just had a show in Savannah, GA. Thanks to Chris O'Connell

Happy New Year! I hope 2014 brings lots of joy and love to people all over the world. It seems like for most people 2013 was not the greatest of years. Personally, I can count the significant good things that happen in 2013 on one hand, namely the birth of my daughter Stella Mar, but there were a lot of rough times, times I'd rather forget and move on... I'm thankful I've made it through those

We filmed this over a course of an night in Nashville, out in the middle of a horse field, full of dew and mud and "other things." HA!

http://www.daytrotter.com/#!/concert/mutemath/20055592-37382818 The day of the San Fran show was a long, long day. First of all, I started to come down with something the night before I flew into San Francisco, CA from Miami (6 hour flight); my flight departed at 8:35AM (which means I LEFT my house at 6:15AM EST-3:15AM PST); I landed in San Fran around noon (12PM PST); took a cab to the Day

This has been our best tour ever in a number of ways, and I know it will be my favorite for years to come. I'm very pleased with how the shows of 25+ songs has been going. Sure, we've only done 5 shows but I can tell we getting our stride. Tonight, we are in Los Angeles at Club Nokia. Here's some pics:

I hope everyone has a great holiday! My favorite music of 2011: 1. James Blake - James Blake 2. Gary Clark Jr. - Bright Lights 3. Foo Fighters - Wasting Light

1. Meeting DMC from RUN-DMC! His show was a lot of fun, too. Kick sound was massive! 2. Pennywise: they were ruthless and super tight. I remember covering some of their songs back in the day. Peace & Love...

This last, brief run of shows has been a delight. Thankfully, we've had nice weather (not too cold, not too warm), and good responses from audiences that probably hadn't heard much of us before. Highlights: 1. In Boston, I rented a Fender Twin amp that had a really nice spring reverb on it for my simulated guitar parts up high on my bass for "Tell Your Heart Heads Up" and "Prytania." The amp

I took the bullet train (Shinkansen) into Nagoya, which is my favorite way to travel in Japan. I wish the US had something like it, maybe even if it was just along the east coast, following I-95. I doubt that will ever happen. Car and oil industry are in bed with the politicos that would be able to make it happen. We have so much to learn from the Japanese. Anyway, It was a short trip from Osaka
