I am learning how to setup an RSS feed for MP3 files here. I'm in the process of figuring out a place to store my files since my Yahoo account does not have what I'm looking for.
Please stay tuned. I might have a beta podcast up soon.

Here are a few files from the fabulous Escape Pod podcast. They have a great collection of stories that will be well worth your time to go and check out. I am using a few of them here to test file access but please go see the rest of their library.

Geek moment for Nov 2nd, 2005

Alright, it's been several years since my company went down and even longer since I handled any of the web work there.
Now I've taken it into my head to put together a website for a piece of sociallly concious work that my wife and are would like to do.
So I signed up for a domain name, email account and basic website over at Godaddy.com
I've not been paying much active attention to how web hosting and site creation has been developing since I stopped doing it but now that I've started digging back into it I found it's pretty neat. Hosting companies have finally caught up with the "everyday" computer user: Someone who can find their way around a web browser but whose knowedge of HTML is that it's somehow related to websites.
Now I simply log in and all the information and tools are right there in the browser. It's a little clunky but then I just got started a few hours ago.
Now most people who will read this might think - "Huh, what's the big deal" or "Yeah, so? You mean you don't know how to use Cold Fusion?"
Well that's why this is a Geek Moment. I think it's neat and I'm enjoying the process now that I'm getting back into it.

Learning the ropes

Well, still learning my way around Blogspot here.
So with my main goal being the experimentation with podcasting here I've done a little research.
Here I can dial an area code 415 phone # and leave up to a 5 minute message, or a string of them.
Long distance call but no other charges.
LiveJournal (can I write that here?) has local access hone numbers for the same purpose but you need to have a paid account. I'll have to mull that one over.
