fresh brewed coffee!

As a child I can remember the local A&P store grinding the 8 o'clock coffee and the smells that could be enjoyed as we drove through town and by the store was fantastic! Today I discovered a local coffee roasting company who brings in green beans and roasts them to order . Here is a picture of a 5 lb bag of coffee that was roasted only 24 hours ago. I am so excited about my cup of coffee in the morning!!!

I am looking for some people who are interested in splitting the roasted coffee. We have to order 25 lbs or more at a time and would like to share with whomever is interested. The beauty of a Sunflower

When I came to work this morning I was greeted by a beautiful sunflower. A bird dropped the seed back several weeks ago and I have been amazed that even through the coldest January weather, this sunflower has survived.. Even though it's leaves were burnt by the cold, the plant was determined to survive. Now I get to enjoy it's beauty.

Here in Florida the weather has been in the 70's and the outside has been calling me. Isn't it funny how your body and mind crave spring. Spring is like a new beginning. I wanted to share my excitement and show you that I have gotten started on my spring garden. I will give you an undate in 10 days after my seeds have emerged.

Uptown Card #3

At my last Uptown Card Class the stampers had choices. They could make a box which would hold some cookies or a small gift or they could turn the box into a card. I have pictures above and I think both are just darling. The small box, fabric bow, designer series paper and stamp set is from the Holiday Mini. To make the card we just used a piece of Crumb Cake card stock folded in half along with the designer series paper and stamp set from the Holiday Mini. I ordered 30 of the boxes and I am going to fill them with sugar cookies made with Stampin' Up! Cookie Press. Then I am going to give them to friends and folks who have provided me service through out the year. You know my hair dresser, the nice lady at the bank that notarizes my papers and of course the UPS lady.

Uptown Card #2- Gift Card

I think this is the sweetest card yet! Lift up the front stocking to reveal a gift card neatly tucked inside. The possibilities for this card. It could hang on the tree as an ornament cleaverly hiding the surprise within or it could be given as a Christmas Card. So many uses and of course I made it with my BIG SHOT! How many times to I have to say... I love my Big Shot!!!
