ചിന്താ വിലാപരഹിതം സാ തിതിക്ഷ നി ഗത്യതേ

അധ്യാത്മ മണ്ഡലത്തില്‍ പ്രവേശിയ്ക്കാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹിയ്ക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കുള്ള ഉപദേശങ്ങളില്‍ ഒന്നായ തിതിക്ഷ സംജ്ഞയുടെ അര്‍ഥമാണ്‌ മുകളില്‍ കൊടുത്തിട്ടുള്ളത്‍.

അതിനെ മനനം ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ അതിന്റെ വിസ്താരം സാധകന്‌ അനന്തമായി അനുഭവപ്പെടും. ശ്രുതിയ്ക്കും സ്മ്ര്‌തിയ്ക്കും അനുസ്ര്‌തമായി വിവാഹാദികര്‍മങ്ങളെല്ലാം നിര്‍വഹിച്ച്‍ ഗ്രഹസ്ഥാശ്രമത്തിലേയ്ക്ക്‍ പ്രവേശിച്ച്‌ ജീവിയ്ക്കുന്നവന്‌ ദു:ഖത്തിനെ തരണം ചെയ്യാന്‍ വേറൊരു ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിന്റെയോ വേറൊരു പഠനത്തിന്റെയോ അന്യന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തിന്റെയോ ആവശ്യമില്ല. ദു:ഖങ്ങള്‍ വന്നാല്‍ത്തന്നെ ഇതെല്ലാം എന്റെ പൂര്‍വ്വകര്‍മ്മങ്ങളുടെ ഫലമാണ്‌ എന്ന്‍ അറിയും. ഈ ദു:ഖത്തിനെ ഞാന്‍ ധീരനായി അനുഭവിയ്ക്കും, ഇതിന്‌ ഞാന്‍ കരയില്ല. എന്റെ മുന്നില്‍ എത്തുന്ന ഒന്നിനോടും എനിയ്ക്ക്‍ പ്രതികാരമുണ്ടാവില്ല. ഇത്‍ അവനോ അവളോ കാണിച്ചതല്ല. അവന്‌ കാണിയ്ക്കാനുള്ള ശേഷിയോ ശേമൂഷിയോ ഒന്നുമില്ല. എന്നെ ദു:ഖത്തിലാഴ്‍ത്തുവാനോ എന്നെ പാഠം പഠിപ്പിയ്ക്കുവാനോ എന്നെ വേദനിപ്പിയ്ക്കാനോ എനിയ്ക്കല്ലാതെ വേറൊരുത്തന്‌ കഴിവില്ല. ഈ കാര്യം എനിയ്ക്ക്‍ വേദനിയ്ക്കുമെന്ന്‍ അവന്‍ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടല്ല ചെയ്തത്‍. ഞാന്‍ പണ്ട്‌ ചെയ്തതിന്റെ പ്രതിബിംബമായി വന്നതുകൊണ്ടാണ്‌ ഞാന്‍ വേദനിച്ചത്‍. അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ വേദനയ്ക്ക്‍ അവനും അവളുമൊന്നുമല്ല ഉത്തരവാദി. എന്റെ പൂര്‍വ്വകര്‍മ്മങ്ങളുടെ സ്മരണകളും വ്ര്‌ത്തികളുമാണ്‌. അത്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ വേദനിച്ച്‍ വേണം തീരാന്‍. ഇത്‍ എന്റെ പരിണാമമാണ്‌. എന്നെ വേദനിപ്പിയ്ക്കാനൊന്നും നിന്റെ കര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ പര്യാപ്തങ്ങളല്ല. എന്നെ വേദനിപ്പിയ്ക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ അത്‍ ഞാനാണ്‌. എന്നെ ഞാന്‍ വേദനിപ്പിയ്ക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ എന്നെ ഉരുക്കി ശുദ്ധമാക്കാനാണ്‌. അത്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചിറങ്ങിയ ഞാന്‍ നിന്നാല്‍ വേദനിയ്ക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല. നിന്നെ ഇതിനായി നിയോഗിച്ചതും നിന്നെ ഈ സമയത്ത്‍ അയച്ചതും ഈശ്വരന്‍ പോലുമല്ല ; എന്റെ പൂര്‍വ്വകര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ സമഷ്ടിയില്‍ എത്തിയിട്ടാണ്‌. അതുകൊണ്ട്‍ ഈ കാര്യത്തില്‍ ഞാന്‍ ഈശ്വരനേയും അഭയം പ്രാപിയ്ക്കില്ല . ഈശ്വരനെ നിന്ദിയ്ക്കില്ല. എന്റെ കര്‍മ്മകലാപങ്ങളില്‍ ഒന്നിനെപോലും നിത്യനും നിരാമയനുമായ ഈശ്വരനെ ഞാന്‍ വലിച്ചിഴയ്ക്കില്ല. അതിനുവേണ്ടി ഞാന്‍ കപ്പം കൊടുക്കില്ല. അതിനുവേണ്ടി ഞാന്‍ നമസ്കരിയ്ക്കില്ല. അതിനുവേണ്ടി ഞാന്‍ സാധനങ്ങള്‍ സ്വരൂപിയ്ക്കില്ല. അതിനായി ഒരു വസ്തുവും ഞാന്‍ ഹോമിയ്ക്കില്ല. അതിനായി ഒരു വിളക്കുപോലും ഞാന്‍ കത്തിയ്ക്കില്ല. കാരണം എന്റെ ഓരോ വാക്കും ഈ പ്രപഞ്ചത്തില്‍ വീഴുമ്പോള്‍ ആകാശം ആ ശബ്ദം സ്വീകരിയ്ക്കുന്നുണ്ട്‍. ഈ വായുവില്‍ എന്റെ ശരീരം നീങ്ങുമ്പോഴുള്ള ഓരോ സ്പര്‍ശവും അവ്യാക്ര്‌തമായ വായുദേവതയില്‍ എത്തുന്നുണ്ട്‍. എന്റെ രൂപഭാവങ്ങളുടെ അംശങ്ങള്‍ അത്രയും ഈ അഗ്നിയില്‍ വിലയം പ്രാപിയ്ക്കുന്നുണ്ട്‌. നാളെ എന്റെ വാക്ക്‍ മനസ്സിലും എന്റെ മനസ്സ്‍ പ്രാണനിലും എന്റെ പ്രാണന്‍ പരദേവതയിലും വിലയം പ്രാപിയ്ക്കുന്നതുവരെ ഞാനുണ്ടാക്കിയ കര്‍മ്മകലാപങ്ങളത്രയും എന്റെ വിശ്വവേതനയില്‍നിന്ന്‍ എന്റെ തൈജസഭാവത്തില്‍ നിന്ന്‍, എന്റെ പ്രാജ്ഞഭാവത്തിലെത്തി, വിശ്വനില്‍നിന്ന്‍ വിരാട്ടിലൂടെ, തൈജസനില്‍നിന്ന്‍ ഹിരണ്യഗര്‍ഭനിലൂടെ, പ്രാജ്ഞനില്‍നിന്ന്‍ ഈശ്വരനിലൂടെ വിശ്വവിശാലമായി നില്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍, അതാണ്‌ എനിയ്ക്കുള്ള അനുഭവങ്ങളായി വരുന്നതത്രയും. ആ അനുഭവങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ളത്‍ അത്രയും ഞാന്‍തന്നെ വിട്ടതാണെന്ന്‍ ഞാന്‍ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നു. അവ തിരിച്ചുവരുമ്പോള്‍ എന്നെ വേദനിപ്പിയ്ക്കുവാനുള്ള എന്റെ കര്‍മ പദ്ധതികളാണെന്ന്‍ ഞാനറിയുന്നു. അതിന്‌ കാരണമായി നിന്ന നീ ഞാനില്‍ അനുഭവിയ്ക്കുന്നപോലെ നാളെ അനുഭവിയ്ക്കുന്നതോര്‍ത്ത്‍ മാത്രം ഞാന്‍ ദു:ഖിയ്ക്കുന്നു. മറ്റൊരു ദു:ഖം എനിയ്ക്കില്ല. ഒരുത്തന്‍ എന്നെ നോക്കി തെറിവിളിച്ചാല്‍, നീ ക്ര്‌ത്യസമയത്ത്‍തന്നെ എന്നെ തെറിവിളിച്ചിരിയ്ക്കുന്നു. ഞാന്‍ പണ്ട്‍ മുകളിലേയ്ക്കെറിഞ്ഞ ഒരു കട്ട ഇന്ന്‍ നിന്നിലൂടെ എനിയ്ക്ക്‍ അത്‍ തീര്‍ന്നുകിട്ടി. നിനക്ക്‍ സ്നേഹാദരത്തോടെ നമോവാകം.

അധ്യാത്മവിഷയത്തില്‍ രതിയുള്ളവര്‍ ഇത്‌ മനനം ചെയ്യുന്നത്‍ ഉത്തമമായിരിയ്ക്കും. പുതുവര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ സ്വീകരിയ്ക്കാനും സ്വാംശീകരിയ്ക്കാനും ഉത്തമമായ ഒരു പദ്ധതിതന്നെയാണ്‌ തിതിക്ഷ. പുതുവര്‍ഷം പിറന്നുവീഴുന്ന ഇന്ന്‍മുതല്‍ ഈ സംജ്ഞ സ്വാംശീകരിയ്ക്കാന്‍ ശീലിയ്ക്കുന്നത്‍ ബ്രഹ്മവിദ്യാനുഭവത്തിലേയ്ക്കുള്ളൊരു പടിയായി തീരും.

WHAT TO TEACH AND LEARN

Many people ask me the question what to teach to the students other than the subject meant for their examination oriented studies. I used to say

;Teach them 70% modern subjects (Modern Knowledge- MK) for building their profession depending upon the taste and interest of the students or for you. This can include any subject meant for writing examination or improving the professional caliber.

Next 10 % focus on the General Knowledge (GK) particularly connected with the subject of interest and a bit other. Thus one can go outside the syllabus and widen the path of the professional circle. Thus mind will expand through the sphere of knowledge

Next 10% should be Heritage Knowledge (HK) on any subject connected with India. This should be learned scientifically, rationally and logically. These can include any heritage subject like mathematics, astronomy, civil engineering, medical or health science, metallurgy, chemistry, physics existed in India for the last many thousands of years. This can also align with the MK of the persons’ interest.

The last 10% should focus on the Value based Knowledge (VK)meant for elevating the mind from bad to good, and body from ill health to good health, building family relations, strengthening social bondage and last strengthening the national integration process. These should be taught through the 1. Stories from puraanas and Mahabhaaratha 2. Experiences of the players in Mahabhaaratha and Ramayana, 3. Messages from Vedas ( and of course from puranaas, and itihasaas too) and 4. the absolute truths/messages from Upanishads

Thus you and your children can get 70% MK, 10 % GK, 10% HK and 10%

SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?"
SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?"
SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "If you must know, I make $100 an hour."
SON: "Oh! (With his head down).
SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow $50?"
The father was furious.
DAD: "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think:
Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $ 50 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

DAD: "Are you asleep, son?"

SON: "No daddy, I'm awake".
DAD: "I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier. It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $50 you asked for."

The little boy sat straight up, smiling.
SON: "Oh, thank you daddy!"
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

DAD: "Why do you want more money if you already have some?"

SON: "Because I didn't have enough, but now I do.

"Daddy, I have $100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness. It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $100 worth of your time with someone you love? If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family and friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

Some things are more important.
