I'm Not Quite Sure What It Is But I'm Excited!

Hey everyone!! So today I got on Twitter and I noticed I had a new follower....@_ZaZumi_

Me being the person I am, I like seeing who my followers are and "getting to know them" so once I clicked on their profile it said they were a website that sells designer clothing....at 90 percent off!!! That's all I saw and I was hooked. Designer clothes and 90 percent off are two of my favorite things and now they are being put together!! So I went onto their website zazumi.com and because they haven't officially launched yet I went ahead and signed up to join their invite list. I haven't been accepted yet but I keep checking my e-mail, because OMGGGGG amd I excited for this!!! I want to say this is like hautelook.com which also sells designer clothing for less but this seems to be geared more toward the younger crown, and by younger I mean young adult (college years).

I Got A Facial!

Hey everyone! So I have been wondering what to blog about and I just recently went and got a facial done so I figured why not blog about that experience!

So the spa that I went to for my facial is also the one that I go to to get my eye brows done and it just so happens that the lady that waxes my eyebrows is also certified in giving facials and I definitely wanted her to clean up my face. I was a little late to the spa so when I got there she was already waiting for me and we got settled in right away. I laid down on the chair and she offered my a blanket (I said no thanks but she insisted) and she got right into taking off all the make up I had on - I did just come from work...after she took my make up she washed and scrubbed my face and all the products she used smelled heavenly and it all felt lovely on my skin. Next she applied a face mask and on top of the face mask she put what felt like saran wrap (probably was) and then two hot towels over that and left it there for a few minutes. This is one of my least favorite parts because it always makes me feel very claustrophobic!!!!

After the face mask it was time for the most dreaded part...the extraction....all I can say is OOOOOWWWW!! When she first started this process something wasn't going right so she put this bracelet on my hand and then used a tool all over my face, I think she said something about using electrolytes to reduce the pain but I'm not really sure, the bracelet did poke me several times but it was manageable. Once that was done it was time for take 2 of the extraction. Starting at my nose she tried to unclog my pore and then she moved on to my cheeks and then forehead and chin. After using her hands she decided it would be more productive to use some tools, these tools feel like needles poking you and something else that I don't even know how to explain. When this torture was over she applied some healing masks or washes and then used a blue light to help my skin. If anyone knows that the electrolyte machine does or this blue light thing I would love to know!

You're supposed to have pretty glowy skin after a facial right? Yeah, WRONG. Mine was nice and red with marks where she used the tools to extract the gunk from my pores and now a few days have gone by and my nose is peeling and my cheek is back to being clogged. But I have been thinking about getting microdermbrasion done, what do you think? It takes off the top layer of skin and is supposed to help with acne scars and all that....we'll see....

If you're wondering I know a great tip that helps with acne and acne scars. If you take apple cider vinegar and soak a cotton ball or a wad off paper and press it against what you want gone for a few minutes it will seriously help...A LOT!

I was actually thinking and I was wondering maybe I should start a YouTube channel where I can post fun videos or tutorials or cooking videos, what do you think? I'm thinking it'll be really cool! College/Pretty Little Liars/Teen Wolf Ramble

If you follow my blog you would know that I graduated high school this May and that I'm going to college here in a couple of weeks. Well thing is I am sooo not prepared! It's a bit scary knowing that this is the beginning of the rest of my life and I really don't want to mess it up.
Basically my friends and I have been discussing it and we've come to the conclusion that we are going to gain the freshman 500, not the freshman 15. We are all obsessed with food it's ridiculous! Anyway if you have any suggestions for college hit me up and give me some tips because I'm totally freaking out!

On another note, Pretty Little Liars is on tonight on ABC Family. I am IN LOVE with this show! I haven't missed one episode...ever....and holy cow are the outfits they wear not the cutest things in the world??!?!??! I wish I had their wardrobe (just realized I can't spell wardrobe). If you haven't seen the show or read the books you are definitely missing out. For those of you who do follow PLL who do you think A is and what is up with Fitz? #Sketchball

Another show that I was religiously is Teen Wolf. Let's face it, the guys on this show are smokin', totally hoooooooooooooottttt. And that's pretty much why I watch this. Girls, if you like seeing hot shirtless guys this is the show for you! If you don't here's a quick summary: werewolf bites teenage boy who turns into a werewolf and is dating a girl whose family hunts werewolfs and then there's a new creature in town, trying to find who it is, lots of drama!

France: Getting There

Hey! It has been over a month since I traveled to France and I am going to do a little blog series on my trip and I'll try doing a post base on the number of days I was there, so I was there for ten days and I'll do about ten posts, plus/minus a few depending on if I think it is necessary to add more information!

As much as I love traveling I hate being stinky and not being allowed to shower. If I can't shower and clean my self and wash my hair I become one of the moodiest people EVER! Well let's just say I don't think I showered for about 24-48 hours while getting to France. We left in the evening around 8 pm to get to New York in time for our flight the next day. Of course we decided to drive which wouldn't have been a problem if we drove an RV, why? Well RVs have showers but I'll get to that in a bit. I, being the perfect child, helped my parents with the 12 or so hour drive from where I live. A few hours into the drive we stopped at a McDonald's to grab a bite. Now I am probable one of the few people who doesn't like McDonald's or fast food in general, there's something about it that just isn't for me, but I do like their breakfast. So after that I fell asleep in the car as my parents switched driving. When we finally got to the airport we pretty much just sat around until it was time to get our tickets and then we sat around some more until it was time to board. Oh but I totally got yelled at for trying to take a picture of this giant beef jerky at one of the Duty Free stores.

On the plane I watched a lot of movies and tv shows. They had an episode of Modern Family and How I Met Your Mother and I just love those two shows! I believe I slept no more that 3 hours on the plane :( I'm not sure what it is but I can't sleep on planes.

SO AFTER WHAT SEEMED LIKE FOREVER WE FINALLY MADE IT TO FRANCE!!!!!!

PC or MAC

Hey everyone! These past couple weeks have been so hectic for me. I literally haven't had a chance to sit down, well okay maybe I have....but not nearly enough for me to relax. As you know I got back from France a few weeks ago and after that I have been working every single day and on top of that I'm taking some college classes. Needless to say I have been crazy busy! I also know that I promised a post about France and I am working on it! It is definitely taking a lot longer than I had hoped and I'm not sure yet on how I would like to format it, so if you have any suggestions I would love it if you would tell me!

Now to the real point of this post, if you don't know yet I am going off to college here in August and I am wanting a new laptop. Currently I have a Sony Vaio and I love it to death, it is definitely an awesome computer and we have gone through a lot together. However I have had it for several years and it is a bit outdated and I know I can just update it easily but I don't want to! Lazy-I know. I have recently been wanting a Macbook Pro and a few of my friends have them and I really liked it so I thought maybe I should get myself one as well. What do you think? The only reason I'm not sure is the price, they are really expensive and if I'm going to be spending that much on a computer I want to make sure I make the right choice. Diary of a Shopaholic

Dear Diary,
Where do I even begin? Oh yeah...at the part where I spend every single day of my life spending money. Why is it I have to buy everything I see? Did I really need that new swimsuit? No! I have a drawer full of swimsuits that I don't wear. It seems as though lately I have a hit an all time low and I spend like crazy.
Although I have a job I'm saving that money for college and my "spending" account, so to speak, is running loooow...meaning I have NO money. Zip. Nada. Zeroo. If anyone has any tips on how to save your money and not spend it all on food or clothing or things you absolutely don't need then please share because I am dying to know! Does anyone know what Lululemon is? It is this athletic store with the cutest clothing ever!! Of course it's super pricey but OMGJGJOJGSDJGOD I want everything there! Definitely check out their website it is lululemon.com and I am OBSESSED with it!

iPhone Swag

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted for a little, these last few weeks have been very hectic since they're my last weeks of high school!! Ahhh! Haha so I've been busy "studying" for finals and just spending a lot of time with my friends and making it last. I was actually at the park messing around with my friends when something awful happened. What was this awful thing??? I broke my phone!
Yes, I had places my BlackBerry in my pocket and went jumping around on rocks (don't ask...) and it fell out and fell...right...on...a...rock...and the screen shattered. However my contract was up at the phone store and my family offered to pay for a new phone so I went ahead and got the iPhone 4s.
Don't get me wrong, I love Apple and iPhones and they have amazing products and some features are totally cool but I miss my BlackBerry! The battery life was longer, I could text without looking at the screen and it didn't eat up data like a crazy monster! But besides that everything else it awesome, especially the app store, which is a major upgrade from BlackBerry's App World.

A little off topic but my cat threw up under my bed, isn't that lovely?!? I wish I knew how to clean it up from under there. Oh well, I'll figure it out!

Also off topic, I'll be gone for the next three weeks, I'm going on a trip to France and probably won't be able to write and post but as soon as I get back I'll definitely write again!

Yes I am going to dedicate an entire blog post on a fruit. Why? Because I really enjoy eating bananas. Matter of fact I just ate one and the banana peel is laying next to me. Mmmm...yumm! I know bananas are good for you but I personally wanted to know more, such as what exactly do they do for you? Good question right? Yes! I'm sure many of you are just as unaware as I am about the health benefits so I went ahead and did some research and I'm going to tell you more about bananas. Sorry for the poor web cam quality photo!

Bananas are full of vitamins and minerals that provide natural and healthy energy. So instead of eating a chocolate bar or downing a cup of coffee, eat a banana! Eating two bananas will give you enough energy to workout for almost an hour and a half, oh my! They have a chemical called tryptophan that helps regulate your moods and keep you happy. GIRLS-bananas help you period pains!! Hungover? Eat a banana, it will calm your stomach. They prevent high blood pressure and help keep your eyesight as you get older. STRONG BONES! I know some people like mushy bananas but I personally like buying them when they are still a little green, this is because I do not like soft fruit, but of course this is a personal preference. Please don't eat too many bananas, my daddy did this once when he was a little boy and he still gets nauseous when he's around them!

Hey everyone! So the other day I was shopping at the mall with one of my best friend and we stopped by the MAC store...(makeup not Apple!). I have never really purchased anything from them just because I think it's a little expensive and I want to be absolutely 100% sure it'll work for me before I get it and I usually just end up getting products from Sephora. Well anyway, I was looking at their foundations and realized that they are cheaper than what I use. So it got me thinking, maybe I should try it? What do you guys think? I should probably go online and do some more research before I buy any but I really want to try it! Plus it's MAC...the make-up God!

What do you all think about false lashes? Maybe not Kim Kardashian lashes where they're a billion miles long, but some of the shorter ones that they have at MAC? I believe they were only $15!!!! Now that I will probably end up trying...who knows!

Pinterest and Skinnytaste

Hey everyone so lately I have been obsessing over Pinterest. Well okay, who hasn't? If you don't know what Pinterest is its best to avoid it because you will become.......ADDICTED.....haha just kidding!

Basically what Pinterest is, is a website (duh!) with pictures that you can post and pin that you like. There are different categories such as Hair and Beauty, Cars, Fitness, Travel, Architecture, Food, etc, etc, etc. Well one day at school I was hungry and bored so I went ahead and logged on and went straight to the food category. I was drooling and pinning recipes that I wanted to make and I came across one recipe that had a link to skinnytaste.com. Naturally I clicked on it because it had both skinny and taste in it, I mean who doesn't want to be skinny while eating tasteful food? Well what I didn't know was that this website is AMAZING! It has sooo many different recipes that range from breakfast to dinner to dessert to drinks to whatever you may think off! Best of all it has step by step pictures as well as instructions and ingredient lists and a place where others may comment and talk about the recipe. I think I've written down 90% of those recipes into a I NEED TO TRY list. EVERONE needs to visit this website, It's incredible! Whats Up? -March Update

Hey everyone! So sorry for not blogging lately. So this past month (March) has been crazy hectic. Here's what I've done. In the beginning of the month I had DECA, which is a business competition, basically like BPA but somewhat different. My partner and I placed 8th out of twenty something groups in district (back in January) and then for state we didn't place at all :( but that's okay cause nationals are the same weekend as prom and we wanted to go to prom rather than competing. However, nationals are going to be in Orlando, Florida!!!

Then I had a skin disease all of the month of March, its not deathly nor contagious, according to the doctor it some viral thing...pityriasis rosea. It SUCKED!!! I had to wear sweatshirts and turtle necks for like 2 weeks and then I went tanning and it got better!

For those who don't know my birthday was in March and it was a lot of fun, I turned 17 and well basically this past weekend I finally finished celebrating! The weekend of my birthday I spent the day with my family and I actually blogged about it and the weekend after that I went out to dinner with a bunch of my friends and then we came back to my house and had a dance party and then the weekend after that I had a sleepover with a few of my closest and bestest friends in the entire world...BUT...I got sick with strep! So the weekend of my sleepover I was pretty much dead, and the medicine the doctor gave me was horrible! I don't know if any of you have had strep but you honestly don't want it. You can't swallow and your uvula gets sooo swollen that it feels like you're suffocating-not a pleasant feeling. But I missed the following Monday and I went to school the rest of the week except Friday (March 31) because.....IT WAS THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING BREAK!!! Yayyy!!! ~~Actually I went home early on Thursday because I had a test I didn't want to take so my parents let me skip...shhhh!!.~~

And right now I'm enjoying spring break from the comforts of my home town and so far it has been raining every single day except yesterday it was sunny and 70 degrees outside! The only bad thing is that all of my friends are in Florida and we couldn't go anywhere because I'm borderline failing physics. If you guys can don't take that class! Everyone says its easy but I think something is wrong with me because I think it's the hardest class everrrrrr!

But that's basically everything that's happened with me during the month of March.

Birthday Blog!!

Hey you guys! So my birthday was today and I turned 17!!! I'm soo excited...I mean who wouldn't be-I can finally watch rated R movies, haha. Well I'm just gonna tell you what I did today and how I celebrated my birthday.

So I'm a morning person and I got up around seven in the morning and just lounged around in bed and checked my email and Twitter and this blog. Then my parents came into my room when the woke up with balloons and a gift bag. In the bag was a little jewelry box with some $$$ in it. Can anyone say SHOPPING?!? Then my dad told me to go down and bring something out of his car and when I opened the garage door.......MY CAR HAD TINTED WINDOWS!! As crazy as this may sound that was pretty much the only thing I wanted for my birthday! So after breakfast I went tanning and shopping with my mom. However I didn't want to spend any of the money I got so I only browsed. (My mom did get me a bra through but party because I needed one and we had a coupon for VS).

When we got home from the mall my grandparents came over. Since I didn't tell them what I wanted for my birthday they too got me money. Soon after that we headed over to Sullivan's Steakhouse for dinner. I don't eat steak often because it isn't too healthy for you but it's one of my favorite types of food. At Sullivan's I got a Filet Mignon with a baked potato on the side and since it was my birthday they brought me cheesecake. Oh I forgot to tell you that I can LIVE OFF of baked potatoes, I seriously LOVEEEEE them!
After dinner we went back to my house and played Just Dance 2 on the Wii, yes my grandma played with us!! Then we had my birthday cake (Black Forest) with some tea/coffee and I went to bed cause I had school in the morning.

But with all this extra money I don't really know what to get. There's soooooo much stuff I want but we might be going to Paris this summer and I would absolutely love to go shopping there, so I don't really know what to do!!

Delayed Valentine's Day Tag

1. Candy Sweethearts or Chocolate Covered Strawberries?
I don't really like sweethearts I think they're sorta nasty but I love chocolate covered strawberries! Yummmmm

2. What was your favorite Valentine's Day memory?
Well I've never had a Valentine so I don't really have a memorable Valentine's Day memory but every year my parents get me a stuffed animal and a box of chocolates so it's tradition.

3. Twilight or Harry Potter Valentine?
Harry Potter! Hands down. However I enjoyed Twilight before it became the "hot" new thing but now I can't even hear the word vampire without wanting to vomit. But Harry Potter has and always will be one of my favorite books and Twilight is nothing compared to HP!

4. What celebrity would you not mind having for a Valentine?
Well this one has about a billion answers but I gotta say Ryan Reynolds is a HOTTIE! I could stare at him all day and never get bored.

Not I don't but that's okay!

Cheesecake Factory! DUH! How can you not love Cheesecake??!?!?!?! There was one month when I went there every week (I had a logical explanation why). But just sitting here makes me wanna go get some. The chocolate rasberry ones are DE-Li-Cious!

7. Red or Pink lips on Valentine's Day?
I think it really depends on the person but because I like having dramatic eyes having red lips would just be too much going on so I'm gonna have to say pink. But I do enjoy red lips!

8. Cute dress or a cute top?
While I don't wear dresses too often I would take the opportunity to wear a cute dress with tights (its been cold) and a pair of sexy heels. Tops are just too everyday-ish for me.

9. Prefect Date: dinner and a movie or dinner and a walk on the beach?
Walk on the beach=romantic but I don't live too close to a beach so I would have to say dinner and a movie.

10. Hair up or down?
I don't wear my hair up that often so I would go with down. I like my hair being down, and whenever I put it up it leaves dents in my hair.

New Format? HTML Help?

I've been thinking about the way I have been writing on here and I don't like it. This isn't going how I wanted and I'm going to change it. So if you see some random changes don't freak out! I'm still going post posts (haha) similar to what I've been doing but I'm mostly going to write in a storyline format.

Waxing, Twitter, Celebrities

Hey you guys!

Do you like the different font? I personally like Arial more but if not just comment or email me or tweet me about it and I can either change it or always use this font.

So today...or yesterday if you're reading this on Monday when I post it...well on Sunday I went to get my eyebrows waxed and OMGHHFWJF it killed! I was soo shocked because I try to get them done once every month or every two months and it usually doesn't hurt but this time I was almost crying. I think the roots of my eyebrow hairs started bleeding cause the lady kept spraying water and patting my eyebrows. I don't think thats normal! I always like the feeling of getting my eyebrows waxed and for some reason I feel like I've posted this before...let me check...guess not but I swear I did. Do you guys get anything waxed? I would wanna try to get my bikini line waxed but I'm too scared. Can you be any age to get it done or do you have to be 18 or with a parent? Hmm...maybe I should call and ask, yeah I think I'll do that.

Now to Twitter, right now I only have 5 followers...it's kinda sad. I wanna do something to get more but I have no idea what! Any suggestions? If you're reading my blogs and you have a Twitter-GO FOLLOW ME @AliParker16 and if you don't have a Twitter....MAKE one! They're soo addicting.

How do you feel about celebrities? I think that I have no idea what to think! Sometimes I adore them and other times I'm just like "what were you thinking." I think its great for people to have a role model but if you look at what they do and try to be like them then you forget who you really are. Especially if you're following clothing trends. When you see what you're favorite celebrity is wearing and you want the same exact jacket or shirt or shoes or whatever and when you find it and look at the price its like WHAT!!! $100 for a plain white shirt??!?!?!?! CRAZYYYY! But I don't know, I follow some celebrities on Twitter and the things they say can be soo random.

Do you guys like these kind of posts where it's very random or do you like more structured ones where I talk about one topic? Tweet me some ideas for my blog and I can write about it. You can even e-mail me some personal stories that I could publish on here but I would change the names to make it private or something like that! Maybe I could do a what did I do today blog?

Fairly Legal-Review

Hey you guys!
So who here watches USA? I personally love Burn Notice, Royal Pains, and Covert Affairs. Well then again I like spy movies and FBI stuff...is that normal for a girl to like that? Hmm..oh well I like it. Anyway a new show premiered on Thursday of last week called Fairly Legal and it's about this lady, Kate Reed, who used to be a lawyer at her father's firm but after he passed away she quit being a lawyer and became a mediator. Well in the pilot she has an ex-husband who she isn't seeing but sometimes has to because of both his connections and I think that they still like each other, but in the pilot they woke up in the same bed so who knows where that'll take us. And then there's her step-mom who Kate doesn't like because she married Kate's father. But the thing I like most about this show (no it isn't the fact that Kate goes running around the city in Christian Louboutins) but on her cell phone she named her family as characters from the Wizard of Oz and matched them up with music from the movie. So her step-mom was the Wicked Witch and her dad was Oz, and her brother was the Scarecrow, I think....and so on...

Well now to the part where I tell you what I thought of it. I'm not really sure if I like it or not, pilots are never really that great anyway but I think I'm going to watch the next few episodes and then decide if I'm into it or not. But maybe I do like it? Ehhh I'm not sure!

New Years Resolution/Working Out/Eating Healthy

NEW YEARS RESOLUTION: BE HEALTHIER...(isn't this everyones?)
I don't know about you guys but I personally hate working out. Just the thought of it makes me sick (not literally but yeah). But I know that I have to do it and it basically stinks. For those of you wondering what are some great ways to stay active and healthy here are some I enjoy doing. Over the summe I play tennis a few times a week and lets just say that OMG do I get in great shape from it! Why I don't stick with it throughout the year, I'm not really sure but I just don't get motivated. These days I've been running, not alot, but a mile a day and each week I add half a mile. I also do crunches, but the way I do them is weird. Normally you count from the first crunch but I start counting from when it starts hurting. Is that weird? I dunno, I think it's weird but it helps!
I've been changing my eating habits too. I've always ate alot of veggies but now I eat them even more. When I come home from school I grab some celery and peanut butter and eat it as a snack. Carrots are with ranch or peanut butter or guacamole is good too. Drink LOTS of water. Water is basically all I drink, no juice or soda or anything, well I drink green tea as well but besides that its basically only water. I did break my new No Soda rule this weekend because I had some friends over, but you can cut something out of your life immediately it needs to be a gradual process. Same with working out, don't push your self right away and DON'T FORGET TO STRETCH!!!!!!!!!!
