"She's not claiming to be a singer, she said she's an entertainer"- Lea Salonga. I was witness when Lea Salonga discussed how she particularly value singers who have created a name out of hardwork, commitment and passion in an interview during the shoot of TV5's upcoming biggest reality singing search, "Kanta Pilipinas" music video last night. The world-acclaimed Filipino singer Lea Salonga expressed her optimism about the OPM industry despite one international music distributor's announcement to leave the country because of piracy. "I'm most comfortable downloading music and paying for it than having the clutter of cds in my place" said Lea.

She did not actually mention the name of Anne Curtis whom she referred as an entertainer who dreamt of having a concert in the Big Dome and succeeded. She simply answered questions regarding how the Filipino talents of today were different from those of her time. The multi-awarded entertainer who won accolades for her music here and abroad, received awards in acting on TV, film and theatre continues to make the Filipino proud with her endeavors sung the theme song of "Kanta Pilipinas" composed by Frank Kiko Salazar (Awit Awards awardee for Best Vocal Arrangement for "Mahal Kita, Di Mo Pansin") and directed by Raffy Francisco (from HP Space TV show shown over Starworld Asia and Channel V Asia).

I was actually surprised and happy that TV5 was able to get Lea to sing the OST of "Kanta Pilipinas" with her busy schedule of stage plays and concerts here and abroad. She expressed her excitement about the show and is willing to be one of the mentors to soon get more Filipinos appreciate local music and talents.

"The music will live but we probably need to learn how to make Filipinos really pay for music downloading", added Lea on a follow-up question about the decline of music cd sales distribution in the country. I have none to describe our greatest singer except- impeccable. She was admirable expressing that it is more difficult to be a professional because you'd have to work on image, style and creativity when you've earned a name in the industry. She has no wishlist as to who she wants to sing next except for Ms. Bituin Escalante.

Ms. Lea Salonga is also releasing her new album ( recording her live NY concert) soon and will be preparing for her role in the new Broadway musical, Allegiance set to open in September this year. I am already excited to memorize the "Kanta Pilipinas" song as it presents a beat and tune that's always Lea's - always leaving you with LSS(last song syndrome).

Kanta Pilipinas of TV5 is open to all Filipinos 14-30 years old, in solo, duo or group act of any genre. The nationwide search which will begin this February will soon give more chances for anyone to be famous. We'll always love what Lea sings, endorses and says. I love Lea and I can't wait to watch "Kanta Pilipinas:" soon.

I fell in love with Parma Ham at Aria Cucina Italiana Manila. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon and I thought of sharing an exquisite dining experience with a foodie friend at the newly-opened Aria Cucina Italiana in Bonifacio High Street, BGC. I remembered how I loved the Hawaiiana pizza I take out to bring in my room in Boracay years ago and when I knew they opened a branch in BHS, it daunted me to reminisce the memorable dining pleasure I've enjoyed at Aria in Boracay.

It was the soft opening and I was surprised to have arrived at the place flocked with so many people at 3pm. My friend and I were greeted with courtesy and guided to where we'd be most comfortably seated and given a menu. The genuine smiles and courtesy to give time and allow us to ask details about the menu were quite extraordinary. The well-trained service staff attended at questions on how each dish is prepared and how big the servings are.

I have opted for my favorite drink in Boracay, Watermelon Shake (P120) and my friend Ely chose Tropical Shake (P120) to go with our pasta choice, Tagliatele con tartufo asparagi e prosciutto di parma (Homemade Tagliatele with white truffle, asparagus and parma ham) (P460) and Aria Pizza (Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella and Parma Ham) (P570). We've both decided to have a prosciutto frenzy as these will not be easily available in most resto where we both live.

I was just beginning to tell my friend my memorable dining experiences in Aria Boracay when the orders arrived. They were really fast and the impeccable presentation lit the eyes of my friend who was not too hungry after a heavy lunch. The drinks and the dishes were made fresh and fast and we were told by the very nice waitress that one of the cook who made our food was an original staff from Boracay.

I was so excited with the pizza which my friend really appreciated. The evenly distributed prosciutto in each slice made us both quiet and the lavish turned shame experience happened when the ham dropped in my plate. I was not ashamed to put them back in my mouth because I really enjoyed the saltiness and sweetness of the tomatoes while chewing the freshly-made dough with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. We shared the pasta and pizza like kids hovering over slices of goodies. My friend was laughing at my gesture to use my hand instead of the fork to bite at the pizza while he rolled the pasta in his' in style.

Aria Cucina Italiana in Bonifacio High Street has variety of dishes the foodies and the not will enjoy. It isn't a wonder why even the foreigners in Manila will have the patience to wait at long lines of diners for a seat during dinners at Aria because the food is truly excellent in taste, presentation and quality. The service is really impeccable with smiles to extend until you leave the place.

I can't wait to go back for Aria's Ravioli next time with my friends! Buon Appetite at Aria Cucina Italiana!

TV5's Nandito Ako presscon: International Icon David Archuleta passionately sings Nandito Ako

Time for a constant LSS (last song syndrome) again after listening to American Idol Season 7's runner-up icon David Archuleta sang "Nandito Ako" at the grand presscon last night. After signing a contract for his acting debut in the Philippines, David Archuleta completed the three-week shoot of TV5's most anticipated primetime program, Nandito Ako with the network's promising young actresses, Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Eula Caballero.

The song originally sung by Ogie Alcasid became popular after the rendition of Lea Salonga and Thalia in the past and I was curious what the song had to play in the story of this miniserye. When the full trailer was unveiled during the presscon, I became excited who'd end up with David (playing Josh Bradley). Supporting the cast are veteran actresses Gelli De Belen, G. Tongi and Aiko Melendez with TV5's respected talents, Ana Feleo, Ana Capri, Alwyn Uytingco, Mon Confiado, Joseph Bitangcol, RS Francisco, David Bianco, Byron Ortile, and Ms. Perla Bautista.

This is the exciting comeback of G. Toengi in Philippine television after years of staying in the United States. She shared to the press that she was able to finish studying Film at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). She was actually convinced to come back to the Philippines after Facebook messages from friends. Ms. Gelli De Belen and Ms. Aiko Melendez were also asked if they ever had real-life physical fight like what they have done in "Nandito Ako" because they've been close friends since the '80s.

Mr. Allan Diones also asked if the rumors were true that Jasmine Curtis-Smith had developed a "something" with David after his surprise attendance at sister Anne Curtis' "Anne-bisyosa" concert. David Archuleta was simply grateful for the invitation and he said that he attended with the whole crew from TV5. I was also given the privilege to ask David what he will remember of the Filipino cast and working in the Philippines and he replied, "I've felt how much everyone is giving. It's one of the best experiences I've had for a long time. They were hospitable and I felt really at home". When he mentioned food, I was curious what Filipino delicacies he had tried and since the QandA was cut short because of the busy schedule of the international pop icon, I turned to TV5's Star Factor and network princess, Eula Caballero on what David had tried during the shoot.

"Balut" said Eula. "But he didn't eat the chick because we had to shoot more scenes and we wouldn't want him to be forced to completely eat the whole thing", she added. I really hoped to get David narrate the whole experience but I also understand that he had more important issues and activities to attend.

I was happy to have interviewed Ms. G. Toengi at least who was so friendly and happy with the experience.

A peek of "Nandito Ako" during the grand presscon got me excited who was David Archuleta serenading at the end. Will he fall for Holly or Anya? I'm already excited so don't ever miss the premiere episode of Nandito Ako starring David Archuleta, Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Eula Caballero starting Monday (Feb. 20) after Wil Time Bigtime on TV5.

Kris Aquino spilled the beans? I was excited at the story conference of ABS-CBN's Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw last Thursday night at ELJ Bldg. with cast, Kris Aquino, Robin Padilla and Anne Curtis seeing all the balloons and the party mood when we arrived.

I wouldn't want to bother what the entertainment press was busy with joining the cast watching the statement videos of the two celebrants' friends and celebrity acquaintances. It was difficult to take photos where I was but I overheard the interview of some and I was surprised at Kris Aquino narrating the plot of the upcoming teleserye "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" with Robin Padilla and Anne Curtis.

Anne was overwhelmed with the surprise birthday celebration like Kris who flew to Tokyo Disneyland the next day. Robin Padilla was still the gentleman carrying Xyriel Manabat while the two celebrants view their friend's greetings videos.

Will Anne play the other woman and how? Although Kris Aquino already revealed her role and Anne's in "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw", I am still so excited what particular circumstances brought them together and what conflicts will surface in the story of "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" set to shoot next month from ABS-CBN.

Oh, and why is the title, "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw"? Who among them will say those lines?

FYI, Kris Aquino's birthday is Feb. 14 and Anne Curtis' is Feb. 17.

Event: On relationship status and more at Unofficially Yours Grand Press Conference

Filipinos are hung up on status. It's a big deal to tell the whole world that a relationship is defined. I've reflected on labels and status after attending the grand press conference of Star Cinema's "Unofficially Yours" last Wednesday at ABS-CBN. Directed by the the well-known Cathy Garcia-Molina, "Unofficially Yours" stars Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz in a story of a relationship that started in a one-night stand.

The film also stars the Martinez sisters, Patrizhia, Dana and Danielle (Yayo and William's siblings), Edgar Allan Guzman, Boom Labrusca, Ian De Leon, K Brosas, Melissa Mendez, Hyubs Alarcon, Mel Kimura and Panying; featuring the special participation of Tetchie Agbayani and Edgar Mortiz in movie that most youth fall into these days.

Quite daring I thought for patronizing the realities that most of the elders refuse to discuss but it's a relevant issue that can also leave a lasting impression to those who would want to try getting into one-night-stands. When the stars were asked what was their relationship status, only Angel Locsin squealed that she is in the "unofficial" but bold explaining that what matters is what works in the relationship rather than what the public may think.

It was interesting how the majority of the cast agreed how important it is to make a relationship "official" and I would like to believe it's the strong cultural dictate of the Filipinos which may not be ideal in some circumstances (e.g. like that of Angel's). Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina made my jaw drop at her responses that are so romantic and deep. I have much awe at how she views the details vividly which greatly contributed to the excitement the press felt during the press conference.

This is one of the most exciting movie this year that will surely leave the movie-goers lessons about one-night-stand and movie lines to last a lifetime. Unofficially Yours will set movie quotes on fire this love season. My friends and family are already so excited to watch Unofficially Yours opening on Feb. 15, 2012 in over 100 theaters nationwide.

Event: Watch Showbiz Inside Report starting Feb. 4!

Joey Marquez, Janice De Belen, Ogie Diaz and Carmina Villaroel in a talk show starting February 4, 2012! I was lucky to have been invited to at the press conference of ABS-CBN's new talk show, "Showbiz Inside Report" last Tuesday night at the ELJ Bldg, ABS-CBN with the highly-acclaimed entertainment press. The seating arrangement was the first I've noticed with the stars of the show organized to sit with the press compared to having them in an elevated stage.

Ms. Janice De Belen looked really slim and she shared to us all that she lost weight even before the top-rating show, "Budoy" because she wants to come out of her shell again after a long time of hosting a cooking show. Carmina Villaroel also shared the same thoughts on wanting to feel a "star" again and wishes came true with her transfer to being Kapamilya after moving from one network to another.

Joey Marquez also said that his family was excited over this new talk show, where they'd be all tasked to present opinions on the hottest issues the country is talking starting Feb. 4. I was at awe listening to Ogie Diaz who was serious and witty answering all the questions on how they'd tackle every opinion. I actually admired him for his honesty and his blunt answers on some particular questions. I've never seen him this serious and truly showing how he loved his family.

I got excited after hearing Janice De Belen will interview Genelyn Magsaysay on the pilot episode. I've been an avid fan of Showbiz Insider featuring Hollywood stars and the in-depth analysis and feature will definitely give viewers the chance to completely understand the personalities behind the stories. I am also excited at Joey Marquez's thoughts and opinions. It will be the rare moments where Joey will not be seen as the comedian and the issues they'd feature will surely be trending in Twitter starting Feb. 4, 2012 at 2:30pm.

Make-Up Designory is more than a brand of cosmetics. I've learned about make-up and more interesting facts on enhancing the face last Saturday with fellow bloggers featuring Make-Up Designory at Banapple Too Katipunan branch in Quezon City.

After a delicious lunch served by Banapple Too was the presentation of Make-Up Designory with products that's truly safe for the Asian skin and make-up classes for the year 2012. I'm familiar with some of the brands they carry but I didn't know they teach make-up classes in Serendra, BGC. So blogger friend Jing Javier was the guinea pig (to whom I owe the photos here) for the make-up demo on creating the "Date Look".

We were taught on how to properly apply the base foundation with a stifling brush (also available at MUD) and how to properly shave the eyebrow lids. The trend in creating the casual and natural eyebrow was simply shaving the excess and putting some eyebrow pencil followed by brushing the hairs to evenly blend the color of the eyebrow (preferably brown so as not to create a classic "old" vintage look). She was then applied two types of pressed powder - one darker shade to create contours on her face and a lighter one to highlight her features. We were also taught how to put eyeshadow and blush which should not be so red to properly lift her cheeks. Lipliner was applied to make the lipstick last for the whole night and a lip glaze to make her lips shine and look stunning.

Ms. Jing looked really beautiful with her eyelids enhanced and the make-up looked perfect for a hot date. I've learned how important it is to use a stifling brush, how to create a light frosted eye and more importantly, how to make your lipstick last especially on dates where you'd be binging on food with your loved one this Valentines.

What can P20 do? Aside from the popular snack we view daily on television, P20 can actually sponsor a child today with World Vision Philippines. It was my first time to attend a World Vision event with fellow bloggers last Thursday at their office in Quezon Avenue and I've learned more of what they have been working for the advocacy aside from sending more underprivileged children to schools.

I've read once Adam Levine tweeted: "Capitalizing on people's sadness should be illegal."and being in the public schools for more than ten years, I have also given support and scholarships to some selected students who have paid in gratitude by being successful in their own fields of expertise through these years. I would really prefer not to announce and just simply enjoy the moment of helping without having to shout to the world about it.

Event: ABS-CBN's Nang Dahil Sa Pagibig Announcement Shoot

Star-struck and photo frenzy. I will never forget the day I had witnessed the Announcement Shoot of ABS-CBN's "Nang Dahil Sa Pagibig" with Maricar Reyes, Christine Reyes, Jericho Rosales and Piolo Pascual last week with the entertainment press and the bloggers. It was also the first time we were invited to witness how they create those beautiful photos of the stars for the posters of the new drama anthology.

In different themes and outfits, Nang Dahil Sa Pagibig stars Piolo, Jericho, Maricar and Christine were so patient and passionate at attending to the photographer's cue on which poses will feature their best angles. I was so happy also having the chance to interview Piolo and Jericho.

In the middle of pandemonium where the directors and the production staff called each of the stars to take the centerstage, I was fortunate to have been granted a video footage of Jericho Rosales inviting all people to watch "Nang Dahil Sa Pagibig" and promote my blog. I am truly grateful for his thoughtfulness and kindness to share and thank the people for the support and it will be one of my most memorable videos in YouTube.

Piolo Pascual also granted my wish promoting my blog and even if the video was too short and I wasn't able to interview him for "Nang Dahil Sa Pagibig", I was able to witness his dedication and perseverance to make every picture to-die-for. I am so excited for the new drama with the said stars and I can't wait to discover the roles they will play and what the story is behind "Nang Dahil Sa Pagibig".

Who would not want to watch the two most bankable leading men in the country be in one soap with the two most recognized actress?Will Christine play a sibling or a friend or will they be rivals? Sashimi made fresh with all the goodies you'd want in a meal. It was another unforgettable Japanese dining experience attending the opening of Sumo Sam Gilmore with the fellow food bloggers last Saturday and we did not expect so many surprises.

If we have loved Sumo Sam because of their exquisite ambiance and wide variety of Japanese dishes, the dining experience would definitely be one unforgettable moment upon the service of a complimentary appetizer and a glass of Red Iced Tea. The distinct and unique ceramics made especially for Sumo Sam created by the founders and partners sets the mood for a delightful Japanese meal to set the right mood.

We love Japanese food and we will always discern what makes Japanese noodles distinct from the noodles we eat at home and in other restaurants. Sumo Sam took us to another Yokozuna Bento fit for a king.

We had a sample of their Yokozuna Samurai's Choice (P488), assorted Tuna and Salmon Sashimi,Kani Stick, bean sprouts, Yasai Itame, choice-Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Misono (US Beef Knuckle), Gohan, Dilis (crispy-fried anchovies) and Dory Teppan. All these goodies in one Bento that's fit the budget and really overwhelming for the ladies. Foodies like me can really finish the whole Bento but we were told that it's okay to share with friends since the portions were hefty and really filling.

He was truly passionate with Sumo Sam and he even shared to us all how to create those beautiful Sushi made created for Sumo Sam. "Maja Salvador must be the next Comedy Queen"- Direk Enrico Santos of "#My Cactus Heart". I've laughed to my heart's content at Star Cinema's My Cactus Heart Bloggers Day yesterday at Max's Restaurant, Scout Tuazon, Quezon City. I have met Maja Salvador in her previous film, "Thelma" but it was my first time seeing the lovely actress make fun with all the bloggers. Paired with Xian Lim and real-life boyfriend, Matteo Guidicelli, Maja Salvador plays Sandy, a girl who does not believe in happily after. I felt guilty like my friend for having the same thoughts about love but our fear was diverted into laughter when she began sharing her envy to boyfriend Matteo (playing Karlo) sings the theme song, "Kaba" for the movie's OST.

Maja was so hilarious narrating her passion about singing and she was also so appreciative of the boyfriend's efforts in the movie. Like "My Cactus Heart", Maja narrated her travails in love before meeting her Matteo. "The girl should always be right, no matter what", said Maja when asked how they both resolve misunderstandings. According to Maja, she turns to Matteo at dark moments to seek advice and their relationship grew stronger after the past issues and conflicts.

The couple worked so hard for the movie according to Director Enrico Santos at "My Cactus Heart". Maja Salvador had to be taken to a hospital from cuts at ropes during the rapelling scenes according to Direk Eric. I felt awe at the sweetness of the couple and got excited at the love story in "My Cactus Heart".

A light love story with funny scenes to leave you smiling and hoping at the end. This is just what we need at the start of 2012. I really love the trailer scenes where Maja says, "Philippines or Worldwide" and the funny scenes on turning down the proposals from other men. "My Cactus Heart" will set records of memorable lines soon to set the expressions of many and not just in Twitter. Maja is definitely not just a pretty face. Do you also have a #Cactus Heart? Event: TV5's Glamorosa's exciting final 3 weeks shoot and Cast Party

We need drama for entertainment and sometimes in our own lives. My neighbors, friends and family will definitely not sleep early as TV5's Glamorosa will excite the viewers in its last 3 weeks episode (until Feb. 10). It was a memorable party last Friday night at Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife attending the final 3 weeks shoot and cast party of TV5's Glamorosa with veteran and budding stars, Lorna Tolentino, Alice Dixson, Tonton Gutierrez, Zoren Legaspi, Meg Imperial, Ritz Azul, Jenny Miller, Martin Escudero, Victor Silayan and directors Bb. Joyce Bernal and Eric Quizon. It was also the birthday bash of Direk Eric Quizon and Meg Imperial with the staff of the most-anticipated drama participated by family and friends.

Direk and birthday celebrant Eric Quizon would not reveal the ending on who died after we heard shots during the shoot. The party mood was heightened by the Mongolian feast and surprise presence of G. Toengi and brothers Epi and Ronnie. Ms. Lorna Tolentino and Ms. Alice Dixson shared their birthday wishes of good health and more opportunities for Direk Eric.

I've heard some interviews from fellow entertainment press on Ms. LT and I was surprised that she still follows the advice of the late husband Rudy "Daboy" Fernandez never to get into a relationship with younger men. Her timeless beauty and discipline in acting leave more actress of the younger generation at awe all the time.

I was fortunate to have an in-depth interview with the teary-eyed birthday girl, Ms. Meg Imperial who shared her experiences with the cast and memorable moments as an actress in TV5. She recalled her acting practice in front of the mirror when she was young and appreciates her opportunities given by TV5. She said that she learned a lot about acting from Ms. Lorna Tolentino (playing Dr. Natalia) and beauty tips from Ms. Alice Dixson (playing Paulina).

Zoren Legaspi (playing Karl) was also excited about the final 3 weeks episode as Lorna's character will unveil more surprising scenes with Naomi (guest star Ruffa Gutierrez) who decided to sue Paulina (Alice Dixson). The heat of conflict with Paulina's plotting Natalia's downfall will unveil her real daughter Giselle (played by TV5 Princess Ritz Azul) to undergo a dramatic transformation from being disfigured to beauty and confidence. We will probably hate Paulina's plot to use Giselle to ruin Natalia in the finale.

I can't wait to witness what will happen next and how the drama will end so we should not miss Glamorosa every night (after Wil Time Big Time) on TV5.

Will Paulina win over Natalia? Although I am more interested with the outfits, make-up and the fabulous styles of the stars, I would still watch how the finale will bring a lasting impression to all the drama fanatics, like my mom.

Event: ABS-CBN's City Hunter is Lee Min Ho

KPOP fanatics will definitely be glued on Monday because Lee Min Ho is back in ABS-CBN with City Hunter. It was hard to not notice how Filipinos have fallen in love with Lee Min Ho last Friday at the special screening of City Hunter in Dolphy Theater.

We have loved him playing "Jun Pyo" in Boys Over Flowers in 2009 and he's back with the newest Primetime Bida of ABS-CBN in City Hunter. Min Ho will play the role of Johnny Lee, a charming and smart young man who works at the Presidential residence called the Blue House. Park Min Young, his rumored girlfriend will be his leading lady (playing as Kim Na Na) in this new action-drama starting on Monday at ABS-CBN. Fans of Lee Min Ho and KPOP supporters were present during the screening roaring the Dolphy Theater with screams although Lee Min Ho is busy with commitments in Korea.

The appreciation on the story of Johnny Lee who became a skilled assassin by fate will definitely be different as compared to the pirated DVDs locals have watched because of ABS-CBN In-house dubbing. The Filipino translation will definitely captivate more of my students and teens-alike to be glued late at night after "Pinoy Big Brother Unlinight". I have always prescribed the Filipino dubbing rather than those erratic English translation in pirated DVDs which confuse the youth of proper grammar and syntax.

It's still a prescribed drama because like all the other Korean telenovelas which does not show gore and violence, City Hunter will make viewers appreciate the martial arts discipline of Koreans, the commitment of Korean actors to create conflicts without adapting from the Hollywood blockbusters and the creativity of production design the youth today may consider as their memorable interpretation of unconditional love often imbibed in Korean drama. ABS-CBN Acquisitions Head also announced exciting Korean dramas lined up for the year 2012 including the famous Sailor Moon (8AM) and Naruto Shippuden 4 (8:30AM) only in the new Team of Animazing of ABS-CBN starting Monday.

I'm also so excited to watch "Sungkyungkwan Scandal" which gained popularity outside Korea soon to be shown in Kapamilya.

The medium is far greater than content now advertising in glasses-free 3D screens of 3D Vizion. Amazing but unbelievably true that it is now possible to view 3D without the glasses. I was lucky to have witnessed the launch of 3D Vizion in the Philippines last Wednesday at the North Forbes Pavilion in Makati. I have always been uncomfortable to use glasses so I never went to 3D theatres for movies and similar sorts of activities. Like all the other women my age, it would be hurting the eyes to have to wear the glasses to enjoy 3D screens.

"Glasses-free 3D screens leave such a lasting imprint that studies have shown that it is 10 times more effective than regular 2D media", shares Katrina Bantug, President and CEO of 3D Vizion. I have seen 3D screens in Ayala Malls where a spotlight shows a notice to stand on a particular area to avail of the 3D glasses and it does draw crowd from onlookers. Quite exciting because I didn't really think it'd be possible. Then I thought of my far-sighted colleagues and I asked how it affects those with sight problems. According to Ms. Bantug, it will still be attracting viewers and will still be effective at the recommended distance from the screen.

How is it actually possible? According to Ms. Bantug, 3D Vizion have simply embedded the materials used in 3D glasses in the screen to create the crisp clear images. They use a sheet of transparent cylindrical lenses (or lenticular sheet) fixed on an LCD. The way the lenses are attached to the LCD projects image of the pixels at the focus of each lens creating the different points of view for each eye to create depth perception or 3D images. It's quite technical to go over the process of making it possible but I was really so impressed at what I've seen. I am imagining it best to be used by telco companies to advertise their phones so the consumer can really see the products in vivid crystal clear display.

The opportunities are endless here now. 3D Vizion is a vision of Filipinos for the Filipinos and by the Filipinos who are keen at purchasing goods and products for their money's worth. Anyone who'd be interested with food will clearly view their cravings on 3D and travel in different areas in crisp clear images. This will definitely ensure another truthfulness to advertising in the Philippines and more importantly benefit the public majority that what they buy is what they have seen.

Chinese New Year in the Philippines spells "Tikoy Time" again. I have learned more than "Tikoy" and "ampaw" attending the Chinese New Year celebration at SM North EDSA The Block last Sunday with blogger friends.

The event hosted by Smart Gilas Basketball sensation Chris Tiu featured the story behind the Year of the Water Dragon, where Papa Chen (Richard Yap) from Binondo Girl played as the Dragon Emperor. Wushu exhibition and Chinese songs with the spectacular Dragon Dance were performed signifying the importance of the celebration annually observed by the Chinese and the Filipinos. Chinese New Year set on January 23, 2012 is the Year of the Water Dragon and SM North like all the other SM malls in the country will feature exhibits of food and bargains to celebrate this joyous occasion.

We have enjoyed looking at our horoscopes on their wall exhibits and I've noticed all SM Malls still kept the tradition. Aside from the World of Feng Shui featuring Maritess Allen's Chinese Forecast 2012, onlookers may enjoy the Chinese Cultural Dolls Exhibit from Jan. 14-29, 2012. There will also be Chinese Icons Collectors Exhibit featuring Bruce Lee and Jet Li on Jan. 15-23, 2012 and Chinese Kids Lantern Parade on Jan. 20 and 23 in all areas. I've found great food treats of "tikoy" and "hopia" from exhibitors and a set Chinese merienda of chami pansit with dimsums at P99 only.

Event: Walang Hanggan Is really a must-watch starting tomorrow!

Stories of infiinite "no-closure" relationships make me cry all the time. I guess those of my age and not will really appreciate the highly-anticipated drama, "Walang Hanggan" of ABS-CBN starting tomorrow. It was a tear-jerking experience watching the advanced screening of ABS-CBN's "Walang Hanggan" with friends last Saturday night at SM Megamall. Starring the queens of Philippine cinema, Susan Roces and Helen Gamboa, Eddie Gutierrez, Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta and the first on-screen team-up of Julia Montes and Coco Martin, the story of "Walang Hanggan" revolves around the undying love of the characters in three generations.

Soon to top ratings in drama for television, "Walang Hanggan" made me hate the character of Helen Gamboa who used to play the protagonist in all her roles and pity at Susan Roces who have acquired the respect and pride of the Filipinos because of the late FPJ. It was hard not to cry at Dawn Zulueta's character who will totally make you remember friends who have contained pain through the years.

The plot thickens with Coco Martin (playing Daniel, also called Onat) and Julia Montes who will make you contemplate if they'd have the same circumstances as those of the elders in the drama. Completing the powerhouse cast are well-regarded actors Rita Avila, Melissa Ricks, Joem Bascon and Paulo Avelino; with the special participation of Eddie Gutierrez and Joel Torre. Ogie Diaz, Arlene Muhlach and Spanky Manikan also play interesting roles written by Reggie Amigo and Noreen Capili and directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng and Trina Dayrit. Present during the advanced screening were other Kapamilya stars Vice Ganda, Kris Aquino and Richard Yap (Papa Chen of Binondo Girl). I really loved the production design with backdrop set similar to Dawn and Richard's movie, "Hihintayin Kita sa Langit" in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte and the house where Dawn (playing Emily) lives with her father.

I will definitely not missing every episode of "Walang Hanggan" to marvel at the characters of Coco Martin and Helen Gamboa after Budoy at ABS-CBN starting tomorrow.

It will take a Fil-Canadian to promote Filipino nationalism for the Filipino to appreciate the Filipino culture. Mikey Bustos once again met the bloggers at Crowne Plaza Galleria last Tuesday rekindling the love for Filipino culture with Chicharron ni Mang Juan of Jack and Jill Corporation.

Since I met him the first time last month endorsing the Mang Juan Chicharron, he's back in Manila to delight his fans once again for more shows and a new webmusical, The Prison Dancer soon to hit the social media. Awarded as WikiPinoy of 2011, Mikey Bustos' career gained the respect and patronage of the Filipinos from his YouTube tutorials.

Mikey is the perfect face of Jack 'n' Jill's Chicharron ni Mang Juan possessing a strong and authentic Filipino identity. I really loved his tutorial about how Filipinos love Plastic Balloon because I still play with it until now (although my students laugh about it every time). Having a chat with Mikey made me appreciate my mom more than I used to and I am truly grateful that he continually keeps the motivation to create more tutorial videos so I can share them with my students.

He shared us all his stories about Chicharron ni Mang Juan - made of dehydrated green peas with the look and taste of real fried pork rinds without the cholesterol. Chicharron ni Mang Juan comes in Pinoy -Espesyal Sukang Paombong, Espesyal Suka't Sili and my son's favorite, Spicy Sisig. No need for dips, it's my family's favorite snack at home and they already have Shingaling. I don't really know how many variants there are but I've tried the Adobo flavor and it's really so good.

I love Chicharron ni Mang Juan and I love you Mikey Bustos for making me appreciate my mom more than before!

Event: Fans mob My Binondo Girl Grand Fans Day

Papa Chen got more screams than Kim Chiu last Saturday at SM North's Skydome for My Binondo Girl Grand Fans Day. I was scared at first because of the mob of people waiting to see Richard Yu (Papa Chen in My Binondo Girl). My fear was erased with more enthusiasm to join the crowd of screams as Papa Chen roared the crowd with songs together with co-stars Ai Ai Delas Alas, Cherry Pie Picache and the lead stars, Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.

ABS-CBN's hit teleserye, My Binondo Girl gave back holding a Grand Fans Day which led too many fans outside the dome disappointed because the space wasn't enough to allow them all to participate. The program started with Richard Yu (Papa Chen) singing and Xian Lim performing with piano with live broadcast at The Buzz in between. Fun activities led by co-stars Laureen Uy, Ricardo Cepeda, Marina Benipayo, Simon Ibarra included Siomai-eating contest and Flash Your Chinese Accent game participated by selected fans.

Ms. Ai Ai Delas Alas performed a Madonna song and dance which was truly hilarious because of her gags, Kim Chiu sang another pop song and Gina Pareño (Lola Amor) shared her excitement over Papa Chen's (Richard Yu) patronage with the crown wearing her flashy Betty Boop outfit and red headband.

Although Jolo Revilla (Onyx) and Matteo Guidecelli (Trevor Wu) were busy with their commitments and they were not able to attend the event, the fans were so happy with the cast sharing their support for Papa Chen (Richard Yu) who was also trending in Twitter that day.

We love the cultural assimilation in the character of Papa Chen in My Binondo Girl. I guess it's part of the hope that the strict Chinese and other Asian nationality who fell in love with a Filipino will always have a happy ending. My happy ending was a photo with the most coveted character in My Binondo Girl who was happy sharing his appreciation of fans the the press on his performance at the said drama.

A lot of surprises await the viewers of My Binondo Girl in the last two weeks and I can't wait to watch what will happen to Onyx (Jolo Revilla) if Jade (Kim Chiu) ends up in the arms of Xian Lim (Andy). Event: Amway Philippines Nutrilite's Living in Full Color launch

A perfect event to start the year 2012. Amway Philippines launched Nutrilite's Living in Full Color with Enchong Dee as Nutrilite Brand Ambassador and Weight Loss Challenge last Saturday at Market, Market, Bonifacio Global City. I was able to attend the event with friends and family witnessing the array of colors that featured booths offering various activities for their ColorUrLife campaign.

We were given cards to be stamped at each booth in different colors. First, we had free Achievers Coffee in partnership with Figaro, Wii Fitness Games at the Yellow booth, BMI, blood pressure and cholesterol check at the Red Booth, Purple Trim Down Showdown Booth that served as the registration hub and free photo prinouts at the Green Keepsakes Booth. The White Playhouse in the stage area served as games area to grab the chance to go out on a special date with celebrity swimmer and new Nutrilite Brand Ambassador Enchong Dee.

I was told that 10 out of 20 bloggers will be chosen to win the TrimDown Challenge with free one-year supply of Nutrilite's Carb Blocker and Chrompic Extra so I was guided by Mark Joseph Delgado of www.sleekinthecity.com to have my BMI, blood pressure and cholesterol check. I was not surprised to have weighed 73.3kgs which should just be at 60kgs considering my 5'4 height. My cholesterol level was also a few numbers beyond normal and my body age was said to be 56 after the doctor consultation at the end of the check. I need to lose 2 lbs a week at least and it gave me inspiration to seriously go back on my diet and stop indulging on snacks and more rice this year.

I knew I qualified to the challenge because of those extra kilos and cholesterol levels increase but I was in a hurry to leave early because of church. Before I left, I was able to witness the high-energy Zumba dance workout, Veggie -Fruit Sumo game and Kyla performing on stage. It was a fun event with different activities to remind you of how important it is to have all colors in your plate to achieve nutrition and fitness. I have subscribed to Nutrilite's Carb Blocker to regulate my carb intake and since it promises to block up to 500 calories, I know it's going to help me continue my plan for weight management. Amway also has Chrompic Extra which is more of their slimming pill to lose more weight. The event reminded me to revive my discipline in food and it made me feel more responsible to watch what I eat.
