Paws

I wanted to share with you guys, our love her name is Gracie, she's 12 years old. She recently became ill she has no use of her right light, and spine issues right now she's on medication. We've taken her to the vet and the emergency its been quite a trip and expensive, she's been with us for 12 years, she's like one of my children, she's funny has a great sense of humor, she's playful, she loves to eat. Any prayers would help. We're doing everything to make her comfortable. She loves to play and loves her treats. She loves the outdoors, even though she's an indoor cat. She's our beloved Gracie. Unfortunately Gracie passed away today, her illness got worse. She was put to sleep yesterday, our hearts are with her. You were an angel. 🐾

Overall: Okay so as a first timer, I noticed a slight tingle my face was red so I would not recommend doing the peel if your going out the same day I do facial treatments at night incase there’s a side effect, the second time I didn’t have any redness just a tingle only when I used step-1 also remember to follow with a moisturizer. I didn’t have drastic results but I noticed a few acne and dark spots started to fade I did the treatment every other week just because my personal preference but is worth it. (side-note) I love Anthony Bourdain! Okay so I watched The Taste last tuesday. At first I though it was just another one of those cooking competitions shows everyone panics & people get eliminated. So I’m thinking what makes this show different, right. There’s 4 judges and they each taste the food that was prepared without knowing who cooked it interesting. The only judge I am familiar with is Anthony Bourdain. Some of the dishes that were prepared I though you can actually make at home. The chef’s prepared meals within a time limit is an intense situation is fun to watch and sad to see someone sent home. The show is unpredictable, and new so will have to see if it stands out from the rest.

Lately I have noticed I have dark circles under my eyes but who doesn’t & puffiness must be to lack of sleep. The eye cream is very light but creamy, I always like to massage the eye cream as soon as I applied it I felt a cool sensation around my eyes. It works great if you have puffiness around the eye area and dark circles. Its a bit expensive a full size is 0.5 oz retail value approximately $72. The cream leaves my skin very moisturize and I’ve noticed I’m using less concealer around my eyes. I don’t think I could afford the price tag, but is def worth looking into.

Winter’s lack of moisture can cause a dry, flaky scalp and as your scalp dries out so does your hair. The air around you (inside and out) also lacks moisture and as a result sucks it out of anywhere it can find it, including your hair. Hair becomes flatter and also begins to lack shine.

· Know your flakes: Be mindful of a dry scalp vs. dandruff. Dry scalp is caused by dehydration, dry heat and poor products stripping the hair, resulting in white flakes. Dandruff is actually a fungal or bacterial infection of the scalp. The flakes or skin cell clusters are large at times, greasy or waxy and are yellow or gray in colour. Anti-fungal shampoos can be horribly drying to those who don’t actually have dandruff.

· A winter cut: If you live in an exceptionally dry climate during the winter, speak to your stylist about tweaking your haircut as the lack of moisture makes your hair sit differently than it does in the more moist summer months.

· Wash less: Dare we say this? Shampoo less to keep your natural oils where they need to be. If you need a bit of a boost try a dry shampoo to trap excess oil and add a bit of body without drying your hair out. Recommended: 2^nd Day Clear Dry Shampoo.

I think the concept of a towel/brush idea is great. I’m tender-headed I had some difficulty passing the brush through my hair while it was wet, specially at the top of my head. I usually use a wide tooth comb to detangle my hair and have less breakage. It worked better after my hair was dry, I have coarse hair so the brush got stuck a couple of times & brushing your hair while is wet can cause breakage. I didn’t try it on my daughter’s hair just because her hair is too curly. It works to detangle your hair, but if you have coarse thick hair you might have a problem getting the brush pass your hair at least for me. I think if the brush was wider it would have worked better for me. As far as the drying time I have so much hair it still takes me 30 minutes to fully dry my entire head with a blowdryer the brush kind of helped but not that much I still ended up using a wide tooth comb to protect my hair while is wet.

Why Meatless Monday. Eating healthy is always on our minds, Monday seems like the a new to start over start the week of right. Why not try something different.
