With Windows 10 coming on July 29, you'll want to make sure your PC, applications and various devices will all play nice before you reserve and upgrade. Fortunately, Microsoft has made it easy to do within the Get Windows 10 tool that appears on all copies of Windows 7 and 8.

Upgrading your copy of Windows to 10 should be seamless, but you want to make sure set up is actually ready beforehand. That new Windows icon down in your system tray will let you do more than reserve your copy of Windows 10 for free. As Fatima Wahab at AddictiveTips points out, it can also check your whole system to make sure everything is all set for the upgrade. It's pretty simple to do:

* Click the Get Windows 10 icon in your system tray in the lower-right section of your desktop.
* Click the hamburger menu in the upper-left corner.
* Under "Getting the upgrade," select Check your PC.

If you're all set and ready for the upgrade when it comes, you'll be given a good to go message. Otherwise, you'll see a list of devices and apps that aren't supported.

Device issues could mean a monitor won't display properly at the highest resolution, or some speakers won't be able to play audio with the upgrade. Apps that are listed as unsupported will need to be uninstalled before you start the upgrade process. Of course, a driver update or patch install may fix those issues as well, so check again if you can find updates.

The distress among Samsung users increases day by day. Yesterday it was the security issue with Swift key pad and today comes the issue of mysterious chip that is embedded behind the wrapped cover of the battery.

Tons of queries reached our mail and fan page about this issue. Now we came out with an answer.
Getting into past, a facebook post has outraged the fears of Samsung users. The post tells that there is a secret micro chip which is embedded behind the wrapped cover of the battery. It is a mechanism by which the government can have an eye on you. Technically it is used to spy on you. On seeing this many users began to unwrap their battery covers to remove the chip.
Under our observations we understood that it is not a surveillance chip but instead a NFC chip.

Usually these chips are fixed under the battery covers. The users who are ignorant in the view of technology mistook this chip as a surveillance chip.
So we advice not to play with your batteries as they might explode :-)

Making the announcement on its Google+ page and Twitter, the company spokesperson posted, "Our second spec revealed: The OnePlus2 will be the first flagship smartphone to use the latest Type C USB. We want to lead the way in power connectivity."

The highlight of the USB Type-C cable is that it's reversible so you don't need to check which side of the connector is up while inserting it. The Type-C port on the OnePlus 2 could allow file transfer speeds up to 10Gbps and allow the smartphone to charge faster.

At the moment, Apple's new 12-inch MacBook is one of the few devices to feature the USB Type-C port. Chinese device maker LeTV had also launched phones with USB Type-C but the devoces are available only in China.

OnePlus had recently confirmed that the OnePlus 2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor version 2.1.

We worked very closely with Qualcomm's engineers to integrate an improved version of the chipset (v2.1) in the OnePlus 2, and fine-tuned both hardware and software. The 2 will be "cooler than ever," it said in a blog post addressing heating concerns around the processor.

It's likely that the OnePlus 2 will be introduced in July although the company has given a Q3 timeline.
The front camera also gets more suited for selfies with 5MP resolution, up from the 2MP front shooter of the second-generation Moto G.
As I have mentioned earlier about the Type C USB connector in One Plus Two. One of the tech editors gives a brief information to Tech Codify. We give you the summary of Type C USB here in this post.

Physically, the Type-C port and connector is about the same size as that of the Micro-B USB mentioned above. A Type-C port measure just 8.4mm by 2.6mm. This means it's small enough to work for even the smallest peripheral devices. With Type-C, a USB cable's both ends will be the same, allowing for reversible plug orientation. You also don't need to worry about plugging it in upside down.Set to be widely available starting 2015, Type-C USB will support USB 3.1 with the top speed of 10Gbps and has much high power output of up to 20V(100W) and 5A. Considering most 15-inch notebook computers require just around 60W of power, this means in the future laptop computers can be charged the way tablets and smartphones are now, via their little USB port. In fact Apple's latest 12-inch Macbook is the first notebook that incorporates a Type-C USB as its power port.

Going forwards, USB-C will enable storage vendors to make bus-powered (no separate power adapter required) external hard drives of much larger capacity, since it provides enough power to run one or even multiple desktop hard drives.

Type-C USB also allows for bi-directional power, so apart from charging the peripheral device, when applicable, a peripheral device could also charge a host device. All this means you can do away with an array of proprietary power adapters and USB cables, and move to a single robust and tiny solution that works for all devices. Type-C USB will significantly cut down the a amount of wires currently needed to make devices work.

Backward-compatible but adapters required:-

Type-C USB and USB 3.1 are backward-compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. In a pure Type-C USB connection, the Type-A ports and plugs are no longer included. However, for compatibility, you'll find compatible Type A to Type C cable. On top of that there will be adapters to make Type C hosts and devices work with existing USB devices. This is the first time adapters are required with USB, and likely the only time, at least for the the foreseeable future. USB Implement required the group responsible for the development of USB, says that Type-C USB is designed to be future-proof, meaning the design will be used for future and faster USB versions.

It will take a few years for Type-C become as popular as the current Type-A, but when it does it will simplify the way we work with devices. There will be just one tiny cable needed for any device, for both data and power connections.

One plus has a strategy of creating hype using new technologies which are never been used. As the arrival of One Plus Two is fast approaching the company reveals a new feature about its product.

OnePlus has confirmed on its Twitter page that the USB Type-C connector is coming on the OnePlus 2. In fact, a quick look at the cover image of the OnePlus twitter handle will tell you that the OnePlus 2 will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC. This was also be announced on the OnePlus forums. Looks like OnePlus will be releasing details of the phone gradually, as indicated by the cover image.

If OnePlus 2 releases with the USB Type-C connector and launches in India soon, it will be the first smartphone with that connector selling in India. Chinese phone maker LeTV has already released phones with the USB Type-C connector in China. There are rumours about Samsung Note 5 and the leaked Galaxy S6 Edge Plus also sporting the USB Type-C connector. But nothing is confirmed yet by Samsung. So far only the new Apple Macbook sports the USB Type-C connector.

USB Type-C will most likely be the future connector of choice, as it not only lets you charge your device but also transfer data at double the throughput as a regular USB 3.0. On the Macbook, the USB-Type C connector can also used as a video out port. Thanks to the port being reversible in nature, you can connect charging cable blindly to your device.

But according to OnePlus, there will be some new features along with the Type-C connector on the OnePlus 2 as well. “We’ve made further improvements on top of the USB Type C standard that we have patented and that will be exclusive to OnePlus. We don’t want to spoil the surprise, so tune into the OnePlus 2 launch to find out more!” said its forum post.

Apple has quietly removed the original iPad mini from both its website and the Apple Store.

It was about time, after all. The mini was introduced in 2012, yet was still being sold alongside its two successors for a reduced price of $249 for the 16GB model (down from the original $329).

It was the last iOS device Apple still sold without a Retina display – its panel is just 1024 x 768 or 163 ppi . It’s also the last iPad running on 32-bit architecture, so developers should at least have a bit of an easier time working across devices.

Though you can still buy refurbished devices and resellers will still have some available as they empty their stock, it looks like Apple will no longer be producing new ones from here on out. So long.

Hello folks,

As I have said earlier in one of my posts , flipkart launches One Plus One officially, the company put up the product on its website with a price tag comparatively low.

Going deeper, the company announced to conduct a great offer mega sale where it would launch a new device on its platform that has not been sold ever before on its website. The flipkart team are well known for their timely action. They introduced this mobile at a price tag of Rs. 19,990 , this would lead for majority sales. They are also providing combo packs on this sale. The drawback is that the company is selling only Sandstone black 64GB variant, which leaves the customer to go with only one choice. Another major drawback is that the One Plus group officially announced to launch One Plus Two which is going to strike the market in next few months. So in this situation people should hold their enthusiasm to buy the outdated One Plus first Gen mobile. Though it may look like the price tag is quite cheap for a high end phone, people who are not willing to wait can avail this offer. But the tech experts say that the One Plus Two can be launched with a comparatively higher price in India. So people, decision is left to you.
Enjoy shopping!!!

Blizzard, the company that madeHeroes of the Storm, defines the game as a “hero brawler.” But really, it’s a MOBA—an idiosyncratic and sparsely populated genre of games that mix together bits and pieces of real-time strategy and fighting games in fiercely competitive five-on-five matches. At face value, Heroes has a lot in common with its popular predecessors League of Legends and Dota 2—games that, ironically enough, were inspired by heavily modified versions of the classic RTS games StarCraft and Warcraft III. Like League and Dota, Heroes pits two teams of fantastical creatures against each other to see who can destroy the other’s base first. One building specifically. In Heroes, it’s called the core:

Blizzard did its best to differentiateHeroes of the Storm from the rest of the MOBA pack, though. One of the most curious details I noticed early in my time with the game is the way it always tries to cheer you on, no matter how bad the battle at hand is looking. The characters fighting next to you will shout things like, “don’t give up!” or, “keep fighting, the tide is turning!” The fact that Heroes doesn’t actually allow teams to surrender shows that Blizzard really means it when it has the game say: don’t give up.

It can be nice to hear the game deliver a reassuring message—one that doesn’t usually come so easily to your human teammates. When a game is going really badly, though, it starts to sound out of touch with reality. As if the game itself is behaving like that one strong-headed teammate who just won’t accept the fact that he’s losing until the word “DEFEAT” is plastered across the screen.

That’s Heroes of the Storm in its present form—an intriguing, colorful mess of apparent contradictions. The game goes out of its way to cheer you on and convince you that you’re doing a good job, even when you’re clearly not. Its design encourages collaboration and teamwork, but its internal social systems make it frustratingly difficult to effectively communicate and befriend other players. Blizzard has said they want it to be an easier game than its competition—easier to get into, easier to play, easier to watch. But they also want it to go toe-to-toe with League of Legends as a formidable eSport.

Something like Super Smash Bros. can be a family-friendly party game and a fiercely competitive fighting game at the same time. But I don’t think MOBAs—which, by nature, are competitive team-based multiplayer games—can be all things to all people. Many of the features that make games like League of Legends or Dota 2 fun for the people who play them are precisely the same things that make them formidably challenging to newcomers and incomprehensible to outsiders.

What’s amazing and more than a little crazy is that it actually sort of works.

Summarising the future of Windows 10 from the press event we just witnessed is a job that even Satya Nadella would find difficult. However, Windows 10’s most important new features are as follows:

1. Windows 10 features: Windows Holographic and HoloLens

The biggest surprise of the night came in the shape (literally) of Windows Holographic. The software, which is built into Windows 10, allows developers to create virtual 3D environments which can be displayed to the user via an augmented reality headset, dubbed HoloLens.

Microsoft gave potential use cases of space scientists exploring a virtual Martian landscape, totally immersive gaming, or architects and interior designers planning and visualising construction and décor.

In an additional twist, a related piece of software, HoloStudio, will let users create a 3D, holographic model and then use a 3D printer to create it in real life.

The whole system will be available within the Windows 10 timeframe as well, the company claimed. We look forward to seeing how this slightly surreal technology translates into real life.

2. Windows 10 features: Cortana

As has been expected, Microsoft's virtual personal assistant, Cortana, is an integral part of Windows 10. According to Joe Belfiore, corporate VP of the Operating Systems Group in Microsoft, Cortana is able to learn about users over time, bringing together everything she knows about them to deliver reminders and suggestions in the Calendar, taskbar and new Spartan browser.

As she's constantly connected to, and trawling the internet, she can deliver additional information on web pages. Belfiore gave the example of a restaurant, where Cortana automatically delivered information on the venue's menu, opening hours, and directions from his location. How useful (or annoying) this will be remains to be seen - we weren't the only ones to feel shades of Clippy in the sassy AI's attitude and functionality.

3. Windows 10 features: Spartan Browser

The new Spartan Browser, that’s set to replace Internet Explorer, was probably the event’s worst kept secret. However, what wasn’t common knowledge were the features the new browser would have.

Spartan’s Reading Mode rips off the famous Chrome Extension, Pocket. It allows users to save a page at the click of a button, from which it will be stored for reading later (even offline) on any device.

A second feature that Spartan boasts is the ability for a user to annotate over web pages, sync the scribbles to OneDrive, and then share the pages or make them collaborative. If you can’t picture how this will work, think of what Samsung’s Galaxy Note phablets have done for the past few years.

Finally, Cortana - Windows 10’s personal assistant - has muscled her way into the browser. This is Microsoft’s attempt at taking on Google Now. The example given was a user typing “Delta” into the address bar, and Cortana recognising they had previously booked flights with Delta. She would then quickly display their booked flight information without the need to navigate through several web pages.

All in all, Spartan is a step in the right direction for Windows 10. Whether it will topple Chrome is yet to be seen.

4. Windows 10 - Xbox App and DirectX 12

Microsoft’s Xbox head, Phil Spencer, came on stage to talk about how Xbox is coming to Windows 10 in a big way.

In fact, it’s in such a big way that Windows 10 has really shown that Microsoft isn’t going to be giving up on the PC games market anytime soon.

The Xbox App, which comes pre-installed on Windows 10 PCs and tablets, is the place to go to see everything your friends are doing on Xbox Live.

It’s also where all of your games are stored and where you can boot up your Xbox One and stream games across your home network to any Windows 10 PC or tablet.

Thanks to feedback from development and the reception of the Xbox One, Windows 10 allows players to share their gameplay at the touch of a button, capturing the last few moments of play and saving it away to your Xbox Activity Feed, or your One Drive if you prefer.

During Spencer’s segment we also got to see cross-play functionality between Xbox One and Windows 10 players. This means that, for the first time, games released on Xbox One and Windows 10 are completely native and don’t require special access to get them to interact with one another.

Windows 10 also seems to fully support Steam, which is a big draw for many PC gamers thanks to its immense library of games and simplicity. And games on Steam all work with the new features that Windows 10 offers.

DirectX 12 is also coming with Windows 10, allowing for even smoother gameplay and richer game worlds. Spencer also revealed that Unity, the most popular open-source game development engine around, will also be getting DirectX 12 support, so anyone can learn how to create games for Windows 10 platforms.

5. Windows 10 features: Surface Hub

Microsoft really wanted to remind us that Windows 10 isn’t all about improving useability for consumers, it’s also a very serious productivity too. So, to convey this properly, it went and created a whopping big tablet to hang on a boardroom wall, the Surface Hub.

Available in two sizes, 55in and 84in, and with a 4K display, the Surface Hub is seemingly the ultimate computer and screen for the boardroom.

Coming with custom versions of Skype for Business and OneNote, Windows 10 makes sure that the Surface Hub’s cameras, sensors and microphones all work perfectly together.

You can also use an included smart pen to draw on the screen like a whiteboard, and you can share screens and interact with others viewing on computers and Surface Hubs too.

It’s an impressive piece of business kit, and despite being incredibly corporate and functional, something about it screams boardroom of the future.

Samsung launches two new smart phones. Now in this post I'm going to review Samsung Galaxy J7, famously released as a selfie phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset.

It has an octa core processor in which four processors have a clock speed of 1.4 Ghz while the rest has a clock speed of 1 Ghz.

It is powered up by a Li ion battery of capacity 3000 mAh. The specifications are as follows:
It works on the following networks GSM/HSDPA/LTE.

It is equipped with 13 MP primary and 5 MP secondary camera.

It is to handle with 5.5" TFT screen. Samsung continues its legacy in manufacturing over sized mobiles.

The system specifications are also very good. It comes inbuilt with a 1.5 GB RAM.

Then comes storage. It is launched with two variants based on internal storage. 8 GB/ 16 GB. The user can also expand using SD card upto 64 GB which makes this phone different from latest arrivals.

Last but not the least it is powered up by Android 5.1

One plus one is the mobile that shook the Indian mobile market. It was exclusively sold on Amazon India. But the time has changed , firstly the Amazon sold without an invite, now there is a major change.
The One Plus gives the golden opportunity to the e-tail giant flipkart.

Flipkart recently announced that they are waiting for a mobile to be launched officially on their platform. Though they did not revealed which product they are releasing but the product resembles One Plus One. They are planning to release a 64 GB version. We must have to wait for the launch.
The technology geeks express a positive feedback over this event saying that this re-release would make a way to sell the product at a low price tag.

WhatsApp, was tested by a San Francisco based organisation faces a major drawback in maintaining its privacy policy. The Facebook only owned messaging app was tested in Electronic freedom foundation's contest called Who's got your back?

The main criteria of the contest are

as follows:

Follows industry-accepted best practices

Tells users about government data demands

Discloses policies on data retention

Discloses government content removal requests

Pro-user public policy: opposes backdoors.

In this contest WhatsApp is the only one to receive 1 star.

The contest reveals that WhatsApp does not require a warrant before it provides content to law enforcement agencies and does not publish a transparency report, like so many other companies do.

WhatsApp also does not promise that users will receive advance notice about government data demands, and the report goes on to criticise the company as it does not publish any information on data retention policies or content removal requests.

The only area where WhatsApp gets some credit comes from Facebook’s public policy of opposing including backdoors that can be exploited by government agencies.

Apple, Dropbox tops the list with five stars. Search giant Google is left back with Three stars.

Subscribe in a reader

Ever imagined what it would be if we all get connected over 5G networks ? Yes this post reveals about the 5G networks.

The International Telecommunications Union ITU is already looking forward to integrate all the mobiles over 5G networks.
The 5G is still in the definition stage but we like to present you the first look of these high speed monsters.
During a conference held in San Diego from June 10th to 18th, 12 member delegation sat to draw up the specifications to be established for the upcoming 5G network standard and to set a roadmap as to how the objective will be achieved.

ITU has decided that 5G compliant networks will have to provide a peak data speed of up to 20Gbps, which means it's 20 times faster than the peak speed specification (1Gbps) of 4G LTE networks.

For actual user speeds, this simply means a customer should receive an average Internet speed of between 100 and 1000 Mbps, which is somewhere between 10 and 100 fold increase over the typical 4G LTE speed of 10Mbps.

So, soon in future, you may be able to download a full-length High Definition movie to your mobile phone in just a matter of seconds. Moreover, video chats with friends will be so realistic that you will feel like you can touch the other person right through your phones screen.

The 5G network technology, which is still in the development stage, is expected to roll out between 2018 and 2020.

As for the formal naming scheme, 5G Networks will be called IMT-2020, similar to IMT-2000 for 3G Networks and IMT-Advanced for 4G Networks.

The final details for the 5G standard for mobile networking will be confirmed in October this year, following approval from the 193 International Telecommunication Union (ITU) member countries.

Although an early demonstration of 5G network speeds will be given at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games, South Korea, according to Korean officials.

The new moto g xt1033 aka first generation is the top most selling budget mobile in the world. It comes in two variants 8 and 16 GB versions. Let us consider the available user space it is only of 12.92 GB for 16 GB version. On seeing this we can assume the available user space for a 8 GB version. It would be very less. So in order to avert this situation we can adopt a method. That is using an OTG cable. Yes, the moto g supports On The Go feature. So you can use this advantage. You can buy yourself an external hard disk which can work as a 2-in-1 device for both your mobile and your computer. There are many companies which provide the on the go hard disks and pen drives. So you can get one of them if you are not satisfied with the internal user space.
The hands on experience of moto g is pretty good. This budget phone has a great impact on the Indian markets.

We will hover over its features in an order.

1.Physical Appearance:
The outer case is made of plastic with a smooth textured back panel. It is provided with a Corning gorilla glass 3 for extra protection. It has an inbuilt battery with a juice of 2080 mAh. The rear camera is provided with a flash. The front camera is located at top left corner beside notification light. This 4.5" screen is good enough to hang in your pockets. It has a very sharp display.

2. Performance:
Moto G is equipped with snapdragon 400 chipset powered by a quad core processor. It uses adreno gpu which has a clock speed of 350 Mhz. The clock speed of the processor is 1.2 Ghz. This really helps a lot while playing high end games like Asphalt 8, Temple run etc. It is also tackling the RAM memory efficiently. On the first boot we can achieve a RAM space about 400 MB. Though the RAM used is 1 GB it handles applications smoothly without any lag. The 5 MP AF rear camera is doing good in both day light and night using flash. The front camera is of 1.3 MP FF takes decent selfies in the daytime only. With the lollipop update (5.1) it is well optimized.
3. Pros and Cons :
As it comes with a tag called budget phone, all the specifications meet its cost.
Camera is good.
UI is well organised.
Speed is good.

Coming to the Cons:-
It has a fixed storage which disables user to extend the storage capacity.
Solution
The front camera is not up to the mark.
The battery doesn't cater when it is used heavily. During the test we have found that it has a 3G backup of 5 hours when used continuously.

4. Special Offers to redeem :
Google offers an additional 50 GB of storage to the users. This offer has to be redeemed within 30 days to avail the offer.

Verdict :
After reviewing it is legitimate in saying that is a super phone below 10k. Keeping away the Cons to some extent we can go for this product.
hese are some pics related to its detailed technical specs...
