12 Steps to Network Marketing Success

What you don't know can hurt you!

Today I wanted to talk about how you can increase your chances of being a successful and an effective Network Marketer by following these 12 steps. These 12 steps can be applied to any business situation or opportunity that you may think of joining.

Step 1. Choose the right sponsor

The right sponsor will help coach you to your success
The wrong sponsor will take your money and run

Step 2. Choose the right company

Choose something that is right for you personally, preferably something that you have a strong interest in or something that you're passionate about

Step 3. Realize that it will take time

If anybody tells you that they can take any amount of money and make it grow faster than is feasibly possible, then run the other way
Network Marketing or Multilevel Marketing takes time and how much time often depends on the person joining and their eagerness or willingness to learn how to market the product correctly
Real businesses take time to generate substantial income and the real question should be when will I break-even
If a program is charging you $200 for a start-up kit and a $50 monthly fee for web-hosting, you better ask yourself when am I am going to recoup the $800 to break even and not when you're going to be making a $1000 per month. Fees and start-up costs are expenditures and have to be paid every month
Make sure the "Price is Right" in the infamous words of Bob Barker who happened to turn 90 today

Step 4. Have a game plan

You need to know how you're going to market your business and how you plan on making the amount of money that you desire. Without this, you're bound to fail before you start.

Step 5. Read books by those who have been successful

This is important because you will soon realize that unless you are an expert marketer (in which 90% of us are not) you will be tempted to quit more times than you attempt to start. The reason why is because you will find that it's easier to go to work then to start your own business

Step 6. You must have a reason WHY?

Plain and simple why are you doing what you're doing? Is it for financial freedom/security or a better lifestyle? Your WHY will need to be bigger than your EGO at the end of the day. Your WHY is what will drive you when you want to quit

Step 7. Set written goals

No time for excuses

Based on your why, decide how you're going to attain the goals you set. If it's an income goal, calculate how much you would have to sell in order to replace your existing income or to attain your new desired income
Once you decide that, you need to decide how much time you will dedicate to building your business because in most cases it won't build itself. You have to put something in, often for along time, before you start seeing REAL results

Step 8. Attend company meetings or training calls

Know what's going on with the business you're participating in. Training calls are excellent opportunities to ask questions about how to effectively market your product

Step 9. Study your products and know them well

You don't need to know every technical specification, but you need to know enough to be comfortable talking about your businesses product. Being knowledgeable about your product is the first step to increasing trust with your client

Step 10. Share your product and opportunity every chance you get

Most people will not even know that you're in business or that you're providing a product or service that could solve their needs or problems. This is why you must get in front of as many eyes as possible. In sharing your product or opportunity you are raising awareness about services that you provide
Remember, people often buy from people they know, like, and trust

Step 11. Employ recruiting and prospecting systems

In business you need leads and the more you have the better off you will be. Leads are the life blood of any business so learn how to recruit and prospect correctly
Identify potential prospects as much as possible by having qualifying questions for your product or service

Step 12. Enjoy the journey

Remember this is your journey and yours along. Have fun doing whatever it is you do and most importantly learn something new everyday that can help increase your knowledge, skills, and selling ability

What would you do if you were presented with the following opportunity? Take $100 or learn a new skill. There is no right or wrong answer, but depending on where you're at mentally might hold the clue.

We would assume that our current circumstances would automatically yield us to choose the answer that would be convenient for us based upon our current economic standing or situation. But that isn't the case and really blew my theory out of the water. My theory was that A) we're creatures of habit and B) we don't like change. We tend to do what works for us even if it's not working or is even harmful to us. As Tyrese Gibson would say we "Just can't get out of our own way."

Now if a homeless man has the capacity too choose a different fate or path, then we who are better off have the same capability. What it really all boils down to is CHOICE? Do you want IT bad enough to go after it and realize that this journey in life is called a PROCESS. Process is EVOLUTION is progress. What doesn't progress will eventually die. It's called survival of the fittest.

Now in Network Marketing or Internet Marketing, 90% of us will fail because we don't know what to do. The reason are many and most are prevalent to the materials that are out there and available to the masses. Most of the information is useless and provides no real value. At the end of the day, you're gonna have to put in the EFFORT, if you want to be SUCCESSFUL, but if it takes you 109 days, to go from app to a product lunch or business opportunity to 100K in income, wouldn't you say in the end that it was worth it?

You know that if you win not only will you be set for life but you know you will become one of the luckiest few to win on earth. Now how many people can say "I won the lottery."

Liberate Yourself

What is Freedom?

As I look at the events of the world over the past few days, I've witnessed the passing of two icons. The first person, Paul Walker (age 40), was an American actor who has played many roles in American movies, but was particularly known as one of the stars in the Fast and Furious franchise series. The shooting of the 7th installment (Fast & Furious) was currently being filmed when Paul's death occurred. The second person, Nelson Mandela (age 95), was not an American actor, but was famous nonetheless internationally as an African that fought against apartheid. Nelson Mandela was famous internationally because he believed in something, went to jail for it for many years, and was ultimately released. He didn't escape jail, nor did he change his beliefs to acquire freedom, because he was willing to die for it. How many of us would take a stand of that nature on anything, knowing that death was inevitable?

The path of these men never crossed but they both believed in the same things. One of those things was freedom. I didn't know until Paul Walker untimely death that he is the owner of a charitable foundation called "REACH OUT Worldwide " which he was en route to as a passenger of the vehicle that caught fire. REACH OUT Worldwide ROWW is a network of professionals with first responder skill-sets who augment local expertise when natural disasters strike in order to accelerate relief efforts. Paul's belief was simple; "When you put goodwill out there, it's amazing what can be accomplished."

Nelson Mandela was a leader in South Africa in the country's struggle for freedom and human rights. He was imprisoned in 1964 after being arrested and charged with sabotage, specifically a campaign against the country's power grid, and plotting to overthrow the government. No one was injured in the sabotage campaign. He was released in 1990, at age 71. He was elected president of South Africa in 1994, in the country’s first full and free elections, and served until 1999.

Mandela’s political party, the African National Congress, a terrorist group, and Mandela’s name remained on the U.S. terrorism watch list till 2008.

So, what is freedom? Is it the ability to do what you want when you want? Is going to work and punching a clock from 9 to 5 really ECONOMIC freedom? Many of us willfully participate as wage slaves in the world today by choosing the supposedly comforts and security of a job and a paycheck. I'm not against that, I just believe that true FREEDOM is achieved through one's own merits and efforts. This is why I applaud the millions of individuals who decide to take up the fight to liberate oneself from economic slavery by having a business of some type.

So my challenge to you, is to liberate yourself from your boss and create your own path to financial freedom. Create additional streams of income and educate yourself and always STRIVE to do better by enhancing the lives of others. This, my friend, is what freedom is. The liberation of self and others.

Have you ever wanted to get something for free without having to lift a finger? Well, today, while surfing the Internet late at night while the wife and children were sleeping, I ran across a site called F*ree and Powerful.

After watching the short three minute video, I thought “This sounds interesting!” and immediately signed up. I reasoned that something free can't be too bad. I also was thinking, "Here we go again, somebody else wants my name and email address so they can send me all kinds of emails about stuff that they want me to buy." I immediately braced myself for the OTO (One-time Offers) that would follow. I also knew that if I said “No!” that this annoying popup would say "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" (Like, I hit the wrong button by mistake!)

So after signing up and confirming my email address, I go to the website, bracing for the OTO and you know what happened? Absolutely nothing! No OTO, no slick sales page a mile long with three buy it now Paypal buttons, no trying to upsell you and then resell you at a fifty percent discount. What I found was music to my ears and a sight for my tired eyes at 3 am in the morning.

There it was, in plain sight, my back office. So now that I am in, I go to the first tab and read about how I was going to get paid for free by doing absolutely nothing. So here we go again, I think to myself, "What’s the catch?" Well, as always, nothing is as straightforward as it seems but in this day and age what truly is. After reading the offer, I can proudly announce that not only did I have reservations (which are fine, nothing wrong with being suspicious), I said “Who would want to do this and does this really work?”

Now I am going to tell you the truth about how to make free cash money. There is a company (we will call Company A) that wants to giveaway money (free cash money) to you for something you do every day. So do you know what that is? The answer is "Spend money!" but here's the catch (there's always a catch!)

Instead of giving you the cash in the form of a check, they want you to sign up for a card and load money on it. Now I know what you're thinking, "This isn't free because I have to spend my money!" NO you’re not spending money, you’re simply loading your money on a card and that my friend isn’t spending money.

Rest assured all you're really doing is moving money from out under you mattress (which isn't secure) onto a prepaid credit card. Now before I go any further, does your mattress pay you any money? Probably not, but this company actually wants to pay you to do business with them. What other company do you know would do that? Now for the fun part, if you load $40 (minimum) onto this card then they instantly add $20 giving you $60 in instant spending money.

Your $40 plus their $20 = $60. Now at this point you can do several things. Withdraw the money, (all of it), spend it (your prerogative), or just save it (for a rainy day). Either way the money is there on your card forever. No expiration or use by date. This wasn't a coupon, or Groupon, this was instant credit and instant cash.
