I have done a painting in watercolor after a long time and I am happy about the result!
This is again a road in the Kanha national park, traveled less by the humans and more by the tigers. My trip there has been the most inspiring of all my trips so far.

I have become a member of Pune Pencil Club which is a Facebook group of people interested in art. Today's plan was do sketching at University of Pune. Though I went there, I couldn't finish a sketch and had to leave early due to some other work had to be done urgently.
Back home and after lunch I decided to paint what I had tried sketching and here are the step by step results. I am happy with the final result but am somehow surprised by the green color I have used for the banyan leaves. Hence the painting looks different from my recent paintings. In fact I haven't even cleaned the palette after I painted my last painting "Portrait of a tree trunk" and have used the same colors in this painting too.

Mahabaleshwar sketches

We went to Mahabaleshwar on occasion of our marriage anniversary. Thanks to my wife and daughter that though in the beginning they were not very happy about the idea of me doing painting on this trip, they were very supportive when we actually got there. I could do 3 sketches in a two and half days trip. Not bad at all!
My wife and daughter actually guarded me and my painting material when at one of the points there were lot of monkeys who were fearlessly snatching away anything from the tourists that they thought could be an eatable. So here I can surely and literally say that without the support from my family, this sketch would not have been possible.

My daughter too was enthusiastically painting sitting on the ground next to my easel and just behind our parked car.

This sketch is from the echo point. This is the place that is infested with fearless monkeys. You can see my daughter guarding me from monkeys with a stick that had thorns.

Sketches at dinner table

Here are two sketches I did at the dinner table on Saturday 29th Oct night at the Deccan Rendezvous, Pune.
The waiter too noted and mentioned that every time I have dinner there, I sketch something or the other. Last time's sketch was of a dinner plate, a fork and some food.
Along with feedback form, the manager received the original sketches from me.
