You will find the original information sent to you or directing you to the authentic site usually, they will then send you another very authentic looking email it usually sends you to a Escrow account manager based in New York. It usually is done in the green used by escrow.com.It may contain information such as= THE SELLER REQUESTS PAYMENT BY MONEY GRAM MONEY TRANSFER. Do not use this payment method at anytime as their is no security for you once it is sent there is no going back, use PayPal or the real Escrow.com. Usually the scam company will not include a phone number in their second email for you to call. Always be careful if you have no phone number.

I am a strong believer in the Pareto Principle, otherwise known as the
80/20 rule, or the law of the vital few, and the trivial many.
In any human activity, just a small group of factors is responsible for
the lion's share of results, and apply them and see your profits increase.
For example, just 20% of the salespeople earn 80% of the commissions.
20% of the authors sell 80% of the books.
20% of your daily activities generate 80% of your success and income.
And so on.
This certainly applies to the factors governing marketing success no matter what type. As a
result, you do not need to master scores of rules, and learn hundreds of
secrets. Just a few--the right few--will bring you phenomenal success in your Internet business.
Select the area you want to concentrate on not every thing that comes in your email box, or for that matter select one or two online opportunities at most. Holy Crap Batman! This is cause for celebration …
… I’m sitting here writing the 100 th edition of Web Marketing Advisor. Can you believe it? One hundred weeks of blood, sweat, and tears to bring you a new business building, sales exploding morsel of inspiration with each and every edition.
Is it a pain in the ass coming up with something new to say each week? For YOU, no way! I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Unless Clayton and The Redhead tell me to bug off with my odd, some would say twisted — slant on things … and occasional hysterical rantings, I’m here to stay.
Now let’s get down to biz.
This week I’ve been strugglingto keep my head on straight …
It’s part of the human condition to look around you and be influenced in ways that are often counterproductive. We’re sympathetic creatures. We naturally model the world around us.
And if the world around you is full of stinkin’ thinkin’, it can rub off. Sometimes you get ground down and your attitude suffers. It happens to all of us. Optimizing your attitude takes discipline and constant vigilance.
No matter how successful you are, unless you’re constantly struggling and pushing yourself for more, you’re sliding. It’s a law of life. And therefore, attitude management NEVER ceases to be an issue.
Every day I struggle to keep my head on straight. And you should too, because there’s no standing still in this world. You’re either moving forward, or falling back.
Beware of the backsliders …
…You know I make it a point to read as much of the casual correspondence that comes into my office as I possibly can. I look at it as free market research. And I can tell (just from reading) which direction the person writing is likely to be headed. How do I know?
Successful people — and those destined for more success — by their words (and actions), demonstrate their willingness to take responsibility for their destiny.
They know they can’t control what happens to them. But they know they CAN control their reaction to what happens to them. It is a challenge sometimes to stay 100% constructive in that reaction, but they are vigilant. And the more vigilant they are, the more successful they become.
My research tells me, however, that there are an alarming number of people who refuse to accept this rather obvious truth.
I call them backsliders. Here’s how they think …
“It’s not my fault. Everything is a scam. It won’t work for me because ______, and _______, and ________. It’s up to you to prove it to me by letting me try it for free.”
So what happens?
Smart marketers create sales copy that taps into this core complex. They write sales letters that demonstrate how easy it is to accomplish something … tell people it’s not their fault they’ve been previously frustrated … how everyone else out there is trying to scam them … and to sign up for a 30 day free trial.
And the backsliders buy! Doing so is emotionally gratifying to them. It’s a quick, easy way to feel they’re actually doing something to better themselves.
But when the information product they’ve bought fails to sprout arms, legs and a mind of its own — AND DO THE WORK FOR THEM — they feel they’ve been scammed!
They cast blame on the person who was trying to help them. And the whole process inevitably repeats itself, again and again and again.
Successful people are buyers too. But they take responsibility for their own success. They realize there’s no magical creature that’s going to fly down out of the sky and do the thinking and the working and the struggling for them.
They realize it’s up to them to synthesize and apply information from hundreds, maybe even thousands of different sources into a unique system that works for them.
Walk into the office of such a person or peruse their hard drive, and you can’t help but recognize their kind. Books, binders, CDs everywhere … file folders organized with reams of information … and still more file folders with notes and detailed, written plans of ACTION!
They’re readers. They’re writers. And they’re doers. But most of all, they know how to keep their head on straight. This doesn’t just happen. It’s a discipline.
A few ideas I’ve found helpful …
Head On Straight Discipline #1, The 5am Club – I first heard this phrase from my friend TJ Rohleder. And the idea behind the 5am Club, at least as TJ describes it, is to take some time, maybe an hour or so each morning, to reflect dispassionately on your business.
Now it doesn’t have to be 5am. It can be any time. The important thing is it’s a time of day when a) you’re not likely to be bothered, and b) you’ve just risen from sleep. For many people, that just happens to be 5am.
For me, the 5am club is my sacred time to reflect on my business assets and devise ways to make the most of them. It’s very easy to overlook untapped value that exists within your business when you’re busy running your business.
You can’t see the forest for the trees. And so you miss countless ways to increase sales and profits that are sitting right under your nose. You fail to appreciate and fully utilize your business assets.
This quiet time each morning allows me to renew my gratitude for what I have and devise new ways of putting it to highest and best use. That spirit of gratitude and appreciation sets a pattern for the rest of the day and helps me to see the many problems that are sure to arise as opportunities rather than obstacles.
Head On Straight Discipline #2, Listen To Your Self-Talk – This is easier said than done. Obviously a great deal of our internal dialogue is subconscious, below our level of awareness. And that’s exactly why it’s critical to be mindful of it.
That’s why I take a few moments each day to just stop and reflect on what I’ve been saying to myself in the heat of battle.
If you’ve ever tried this, then you know that a few of the things you hear are somewhat less than empowering. This is natural, especially if you’re challenging yourself to new heights of achievement and stepping out of your comfort zone.
Confront that little voice in your head when you catch it whispering limiting beliefs in your ear. When you hear them, anchor them to positive affirmations that empower you, and repeat those affirmations whenever you have a quiet moment.
Your subconscious mind simply acts on input. If you allow garbage in unchallenged, your subconscious mind programs your behavior to be consistent with that garbage. The same is true of positive inputs. What the mind conceives, the mind achieves.
Head On Straight Discipline #3, Have Written Goals Reviewed Daily – Having written goals gives you a barometer for all of the activities you engage in throughout the workday. You can ask yourself “Is this thing I’m doing right now taking me toward my goals or away from them?”
Each morning at 5am Club, you can take stock of your progress, decide what needs to be done to stay on course, and revise your game plan.
I like to break goals into long-term, short-term, and daily. Long and short-term goals feed long and short-term plans, and daily goals make to-do lists.
Being a copywriter, I want to prime my subconscious mind to solve creative problems while I sleep. So I make my to-do lists just before going to bed. And then I write as soon as I get up.
Each morning I roll out of bed and immediately write feverishly for an hour or so, then I do the 5am club thing, and try to remain watchful of my self-talk a few times throughout the day.
I find these disciplines keep my mind sharp and my attitude keen. Perhaps you will too.

So what is Jeff Walkers product anyway? What is this "Something Else" that Jeff's Walker's "Product Launch Formula" is actually about its about Marketing?

It's about "Events" that pre-launch your product or even your website.

Jeff Walkers formula is all about creating an "Event", and then marketing
that one-time event to an ever growing crowd. You market it right
up until "launch" day, when you start getting orders literally the very
INSTANT you open your cart. NOT because people necessarily want
your product - that's because you caused a response the reason they buy from
you at ALL. It's because they want to be part of the EVENT you've created a want
to be part of it. And because it's a singular event, they've just got the ONE SHOT.

This is the true genius at the heart of Jeff's Walkers techniques.

When you go here to watch Jeff's "Blueprint" video, you'll hear him
talk about an idea he had called the "sideways sales letter".

The idea is, you take a traditional long-form, copy-heavy direct sales
letter. Let's say it's 30 pages long. It's filled with bullet points and
sub-heads and benefits, testimonials, etc. - all the stuff it
should have...

Jeff's idea is that you turn that letter physically sideways, and
instead of a loooooong scrolling 30 page letter, you break it up into
30 DAYS of content.

By doing this you essentially trade SPACE (the long, long, long
copy from your old-style sales page) for TIME. It's literally mapped
out to the calendar.

So what would have been a suggestive (but passive) "Buy Now"
button at the bottom of your letter...

It magically becomes a VERY LITERAL "Buy Now" EVENT. It's
not just a mere suggestion that you go ahead and buy now. It
means buy NOW - TODAY! The Event you've been hearing
about, that you've been WAITING FOR? It's happening - so go
NOW NOW NOW... etc. etc. Now this is marketing at its best.

Do you understand how powerful this idea is?

By its very nature, real-time, real-world events have many of the
strongest marketing persuasion tactics built-in. You don't have to
make sure they're in your copy. You won't mess up if you leave
them out of your marketing mind map. They are just
automatically there.

Things like marketing:

* Scarcity and Exclusivity
* Repetition of Messaging
* The Power of Participation and Social Pressure

Those are just three of the marketing techniques he uses. If you left those
elements out of your sales copy during a non-event-based launch,
have missed a major marketing strategy.

However, if you follow an event-based roll-out for your marketing project, it
becomes literally IMPOSSIBLE for you to forget about them. Even
if you do the launch BADLY, you still have all these powerful
marketing triggers working for you.

Scarcity or exclusivity is already heavily implied when you are counting down to a
specific date and time in marketing technique.

You automatically get the benefit of repeat messaging because you
do not have to make excuses to mail your list. No more wracking
your brain to think of ways to remind them that you have a product
for sale. The build-up to the event is all the reason you need.

Psychologists know that people show affinity for groups they
participate in this is your marketing advantage. By doing an event-based launch, you're
getting participation in advance (with all the blog commenting and survey
feedback and whatnot). Not only that, you're INVITING them to
"participate" in your launch by buying your product on launch day.
Invitations are another powerful marketing trigger, also.

See, when you use Jeff's "Product Launch Formula" your product
becomes an EVENT. Event marketing is superior to product
marketing, even at the simplest test. Ask yourself, which is more
likely to be a product sold without an announcement or the one you build up to like the new cars coming next year?

If you are a Internet newbie, and you are considering entering the Internet market and do not know where to start or how long it will take before you make money, or do not have a lot to start with.
First, take a deep breath...
One thing you need to realise about starting a online business is it is not wise to do so when you are "up to your eyeballs in debt"or out of work with no backup finances.
If this is your case, I would suggest you focus your energies on clearing up your debt situation first, NOT on starting an online business.If you are in absolutely desperate straits do not attempt to start an online business opportunity in a last ditch effort to save your self from financial ruin.

Fact: Website Directory Submission is quickly becoming a very popular and easy way to get quality, one way links to your website.

Fact 2: These kind of links are exactly what the search engines are looking for. The websites with more quality, one way links are typically the sites that rank the highest, period.

With that said, there are several website directory submission programs on the market. The best and easiest to use is a new program created by Brad Callen, called Directory Submitter, it saves me loads of time by making submission easier.

Be Careful When Using Myspace

In the last month a friend asked if I could fix her computer after it crashed, I said yes. Then my computer which also had a K7 Trition motherboard with an AMD XP processor crashed as well. I anylized the problem they both had, The hard drive nor the boot record could be found. Well it took me about three weeks to find out that there is a group of about 300 people in a peticular forum dedicating there time to attacking and hacking myspace for the fun of it. Later that night I found out that someone was posing as a hacker in this forum asked what they were up to. Well someone created something called a flash worm (improperly named because it is not a worm virus), anyway it found a hole in flash player 8. My theory is one of these very crafty hackers went into the computer and some how disabled the cmos from detecting a hardrive. So I went into the cmos and re enabled it to check for harddrives, bam, problem solved. In order to not be affected by this flash worm and other things you need to make sure all of you media and media related programs are up to date. This way the hackers are going to have to find new holes and cant use the old ones. Myspace is also working on closing the insecurities. So if you are just using myspace to communicate or market you product, be very careful with whos myspace you visit. Even if you know that persons myspace it may have some kind of hacker trace left behind. You never know if you myspace was altered in the coding while you were not on your profile.

Sorry, but I do not remember the names of this forum nor the undercover man. But regardless you do need to keep up on securing your computer. I did not know until my computers crashed that you computers cmos can be altered without boot up.

Also if your customers book link your site it is even better because the link will be yours not that of your affiliate program. So how do you create this affiliate cloaking URL?

Here are the instructions:

Go and connect to your web server using your FTP client or another file management program. Now go and create a directory that properly describes the product you are affiliated with. In this example lets say your product is called Rich_Jerk so you would create a directory in your site and then name it the product name. The third step is create a single index.html, index.htm, index.php, index.htmls, or many other web page formats. If you don't have HTML editor then you can use Note Pad, which comes with all windows OS. The forth step is to Edit the index file so that it contains this exact code:

To make your page and the affiliate page look like they go together I recommend you copy the affiliate page's title or the product name. To see this just click on your affiliate link and copy the phrase on the top of your browser's window. You can also use the script from click bank, thats what I would use.

Don't forget to make sure your affiliate URL works before you publish it. Now you need to upload index.html file in your new directory for example http://www.onlineprofitmarketing.com/Rich_Jerk and now you are finished. So this little bit of work your affiliate links are now cloaked, no URL thieves can take your commissions and your links look more professional to your consumers. It is that easy and it is free . Like I said, I do not support cloaking links anymore. I updated this article to make a little more sense and to add info about the click back script.

On legal matters, of course, you should consult an attorney; the following does not constitute legal advice. The short answer to your question is that the US Supreme Court ruled in Quill Corp. v. North Dakota (1992) that mail order businesses don't need to collect sales taxes except in states where they have a physical presence. A company is required to collect sales tax only for its own state (unless the organization has a site, office, or store in another state also).

However, Streamlined Sales Tax (SST) legislation is gradually being adopted by specific states (www.streamlinedsalestax.org). When this is in place, Congress will probably require companies over a certain revenue threshold to collect other states' sales taxes.

To implement this, cooperating states are working to simplify their tax rules for online sales to make tax collection more feasible. Probably smaller businesses and organizations will be exempted because of the hardship and expense involved.
