A year ago in March, Cruz made a surprising political
calculation and announced his candidacy for president in an early bid for his
spot in the race. I’m no partisan; I have long left the cheerleader ranks of
the Republican Party that I once occupied; that said, I’ve always been in the
Cruz corner.

I wasn’t as star-struck as most with Cruz’s announcement
speech at Liberty University. In fact, in spite of the fact that I like Cruz,
he still, at that point in his career, came off as plastic, superficial, and
cliché. I listened to the speech and was glad to see he had made the decision
to run.

As each of the candidates joined the race—Trump, Carson,
Rubio, Rand Paul, Santorum, and the others (of which I’m no fan)—I was excited
to see such a talented and deep field of candidates. We were like the New York
Yankees 2015 bullpen in terms of depth and strength; man, was I excited, and
you could feel the energy of Republicans and conservatives in spite of their
differences.

Then it happened, some jackass reporter (and I saw the exact
interview, but I can’t recall the reporter) asked Trump about the Cruz
“birther” issue. Up until that point, everyone could see--and sense to a
degree--that Trump and Cruz were avoiding any confrontations. But Trump
answered the sewer-dwelling reporter’s question with a mild attack when he
agreed that the "Canadian issue" was a problem. This excerpt from a
January 5th (2016) New York Times article was the start of this horrific Trump
vs. Cruz nightmare:

“Republicans are going to have to ask themselves the
question: ‘Do we want a candidate who could be tied up in court for two years?’
That’d be a big problem,” Trump said when asked about the topic. “It’d be a
very precarious one for Republicans because he’d be running and the courts may
take a long time to make a decision. You don’t want to be running and have that
kind of thing over your head.”

Trump added: “I’d hate to see something like that get in his
way. But a lot of people are talking about it, and I know that even some states
are looking at it very strongly, the fact that he was born in Canada, and he
has had a double passport” (Costa and Rucker, 2016).

Like many of my fellow conservatives, I was open minded to
Trump’s candidacy at first, although I would always say in my conversations
that I never trusted Trump. I have followed Trump for decades. I was well aware
of his donations, support, and mingled lifestyle with Democrats in New York and
Hollywood. I wanted to believe Trump, and I liked his tough, politically
incorrect, in-your-face rhetoric which was such a breath of fresh air. We
Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, and Conservatives have been losing for
so long that we were pissed and Trump's rhetoric—strongest in the field up to
that point—was like a fresh Spring rain after years of drought.

But, then, the “Birther” attacks began. Almost
simultaneously he attacked Ben Carson in an unprecedented, nasty way by calling
him a psychopath and comparing his mental state to that of a child molester.
Then it was Fiorina being ugly and “Little Marco” (and I was never a fan of
Rubio after the Gang of Eight), and so on. Trump began the mudslinging in this
primary, and readers only have to do a little bit of research to find this to
be factual. That said, I believe Trump is running a third party candidacy
within the Republican Party rather than from without. What do I mean? Let me
explain.

I’m not sure if this was Trump’s original plan, in fact, I’m
almost sure that it wasn’t; however, now that the war is on, there is no
turning back. I do still see Republicans and conservatives that say they’ll
vote for Trump if he wins even though they are Cruz people, yet, I see almost
no Trump supporters willing to say the same—and the divide grows deeper and
worsens by the day.

If you take a second to read most threads on any website,
blog, social media site, etc., you will see a vile hatred between the Trump and
Cruz camps. This may not seem like a big issue right now folks, but you just
wait till the Democratic machine gets their Marxist claws into this rat’s nest.
There is a strong possibility that we will see a crushing defeat in 2016 simply
because of the hatred between Trump and Cruz voters. And to think, if they had
remained friends, if we had seen a Trump/Cruz ticket, if Trump had passed on
the setup question that he was too dumb to pass on about the ridiculous
“Birther” claims on Cruz--we might be at a different point in our history. But,
the American people seem to need more pain before they will learn. And, pain is
the great motivator.

My prediction is this: if the Cruz and Trump supporters
continue to have a “hate-on” for one another and claim that they will NOT VOTE
for Trump or Cruz…Hilary will win—period. Trump cannot win without the Cruz
votes (yes, I know logic's hard for the head-bangers that love Trump, but I’m
100% correct on this), and Cruz cannot win without the Trump supporters votes.

Trump, in his arrogance, seems to think he can win without
the conservative vote. That’s why he is walking back some of his harsher
political rhetoric on the border wall and Islam; however, with negatives in the
70 percentile range with women, and in the 60 percentile range among voters in
general, Trump’s negatives cannot be ignored by the intellectually honest
person. He cannot win without the Cruz supporters. That’s why the new strategy
is for Trump to run a third party candidacy within the Republican Party.

Just some food for thought. And, BTW, I will vote for Trump
in spite of the fact that I want a Cruz presidency, and I don’t like Trump. I’m
just no fool when it comes to numbers. Numbers don’t lie. Wake up Trumpets.

Take our politicians: they're a bunch of yo-yos. The
presidency is now a cross between a popularity contest and a high school
debate, with an encyclopedia of clichés the first prize. ~Saul Bellow~

As this world spirals forward, spinning at thousands of miles an hour, we stand still or even regress. Some say society has progressed. It may have in terms of technology but what about the “civil society”? I look around and see technology, like phones, that amazes me by what it can do. I remember when cell phones looked like a weapon used to hit a mugger. Now, at the touch of my finger on my phone, the world awaits. And yet, are we any wiser? I don`t think so. It`s not the fault of technology; rather, it’s that same horrific, self-absorbed human heart that killed Cain. Our cell phone is a symptom, an extension of our need to hide and feed ourselves; it`s another of our addictions. It`s a palliative medicine for our selfishness.

Alongside what I believe to be the natural vices of the human heart, intellectual laziness feeds other unpleasant societal mores. Society is largely discourteous. No one even wants to hit a turn signal to let other drivers know they are turning rather than going straight. People won’t open a door or say please and thank you.

No one wants to be bothered with self-reliance or personal responsibility. Yet, they want freedom. But, what is freedom to most people? Is liberty now defined as freedom from responsibility? How about the words “individual sovereignty”? I said those words once in a college class. Everyone within earshot stood frozen; their eyes glazed over like a pound cake. All we have to do is look at human history, and we can see that when a society rejects self-reliance, personal responsibility, and individual sovereignty, they spiral downward. Some fall into despotism. These are signs of societal regression. But hey, maybe my beliefs are out of style.

I hear some say, “We need more diversity.” Do they include a cry for diversity in economic systems? Don`t they realize that capitalism is the minority across the globe? And, that private property and individual sovereignty are inextricably tied to one another. No…they don`t understand these things. Those who remember the 20th century and the rushing rivers of blood across Europe are almost all dead and gone. I think that they damn sure understood the meaning of liberty.

Another way we’ve strayed is that most people now have the attention span of an infant. You`re about three words into a sentence, and they see a squirrel or just turn and start looking around the room like a mental patient. Go to your favorite restaurant and you'll see people staring like zombies into their new iPhone. Whole families sit together at a table gawking at their damn phones. Social media isn`t social…it`s antisocial!

The art of talking has gone. We don`t communicate anymore. We read social media blurbs and Facebook memes. We speak, instead, in bumper sticker slogans that have no depth or meaning when followed to their logical end; we even make life choices based on these slogans. We fall for emotional appeals, strawmen, sweeping generalizations, two wrongs make a right, and we swallow red herrings without chewing. Writers shorten sentences because no one wants to read a long one anymore. All for the sake of reaching the lowest common denominator. These horrible habits open the door for despots. History is an implausible mirror.

Like sharks that smell blood, the politicians, the wealthy, the elitists, the tyrants, and the bleeding hearts all see their pathway to glory in a disintegrating civil society. Let me have your liberty they say. No…they don`t say it like that. They say, “You deserve free college and free housing. You shouldn`t have to pay BIG pharmaceuticals for your drugs!” They want you to trust bureaucrats that you don`t know and that don`t know you or your community. Support your local politician. We will give you everything you ever wanted or needed…because we care.

I remember when I finally gave up my disdain for Star Trek Next Gen and watched a season. I was hooked. I met a formidable enemy during one episode—The Borg. The Borg was an alien entity that was like a computerized bee hive, extremely powerful and, at that point in the Next Gen series—invincible. They were terrifying. They would grab their victims with a tractor beam and tell them, “We are The Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile. From this time forward you will service us.” The Borg would repeat this dreadful mantra no matter what the victims might say to try and negotiate their freedom or peace.

That`s how I see our world, our sad state of regression. We ignore the giant tractor beam that is our government, and we blindly follow the path of history`s useful idiots. Like the victims of the Borg, our individual sovereignty, personal liberty, and inalienable rights will be assimilated and is seems that resistance IS futile. The elitists manipulate us with their police power and whisper to us, “From this day forward, you will service us. You will assimilate. Resistance is futile.”

How can we escape this formidable foe? How do we cling to our liberty—bought with blood—and stop this regressive slide? I believe it starts with a few simple things that political correctness has all but killed—logic, deductive reasoning, and passing down the wisdom of our history. We are so lazy that we look to some false Messiah for salvation. Our fathers and mothers looked in the mirror. There are no messiahs. Life is not fair. Egalitarianism, in its extreme, is a lie.

So, yes, we may have machines that break the speed barrier. We have phones, tablets, and computers that feed us information at the speed of light. We have medicines and medical procedures that bring healing and comfort to people in a moment's time. Technology is king. The future pet might soon be a drone instead of a dog. I say that none of this matters if we can no longer think, talk, discuss things through to find wise answers to difficult situations, or agree to disagree without Tweeting insults like we have turrets.

America has begun to feel like we are under a religious inquisition—the new religion is political correctness. Our ideas of kindness, love, human dignity, and to be our brother’s keeper have been twisted. I heard a quote the other day that is not only poetic alliteration, but it`s pregnant with the truth: Tolerance has become so tolerant that it tolerates intolerance.

My boyhood friend recently asked me how I became a conservative. We were both brought up as Ohio Democrats. I said, "Man…life kicked my ass. It took me a long time to realize that there was a set of directions for life called history, human experience, and the wisdom of the ages.”

My friends, let’s make sure that we use our heads for something more than just a hat rack.

What is conservatism? Is it not the adherence to the old and
tried against the new and untried? ~Abraham Lincoln~

I`m a conservative. Conservatives believe in the rule of law—period. This is not something we should compromise in our lives and in the way we operate politically. If we do not follow the rule of law, then we are no better than the left, the RINOs, or the Marxist Democrat Party.

However! As we sat back in the last year and watched our elected representatives, which promised to be an opposition party to Obama and the Marxists, we instead saw them team up and help to hand out the goodies.

The goodies they are handing out are the future earnings of the millennials, our children, and grandchildren. This is abuse. This is theft. It`s not legal; it is only “legal” in the sense that lawmakers are setting these policies in motion, but they are not moral or Constitutional.

These actions are if we just talk about all the omnibus bills, and so forth, that both parties have been guilty of passing. If we speak of the latest lawless acts by Obama—the so-called executive orders concerning gun control—we see such an array of lies, strawmen, fallacious arguments, and abstractions that have nothing to do with mass shootings—it`s sheer despotism and demagoguery.

Nothing Obama has done would have prevented any of the mass shootings that have happened during his presidency—period. Moreover, where is the statistical evidence to make the arguments this lawless Marxist makes? There are none. The left is NEVER interested in facts, only emotional appeals that move people to tears and stupid decisions.

The only answer at this point—I`m afraid—is “nullification.”

I don`t say this easily, and I don’t take it lightly; however, we as a people must stand up to this tyrant until he leaves office. We must refuse to fill out their forms, we must use stall tactics as they do, and we must cite the Constitution as our basis for the actions we take as being truly lawful.

Finally, my dear friends and readers, I beg you to look at the Article V Convention of the States movement and educate yourself on this process. It`s the only answer and it`s the answer the founders gave us at the Constitutional Convention in 1789.

Under Article V, “We the People” can legally and lawfully take back our government and reinstate the 10th Amendment powers that make the states more powerful than the feds; which is how we are supposed to operate. I`ve heard a lot of different excuses from people about their lack of belief that Article V is the answer or that it will work. I left my local Tea Party chapter because the leadership was so stubborn about the issue that one of them told me a bold faced lie. He said we would hold a meeting and then denied he ever said it. Yet, they fear a convention of the states; politicians and Obama hold a Constitutional Convention daily as they change and break our laws.

In these desperate times, we must relearn to think with logic and not soundbites, headlines, and emotions. As much as I like Trump and Cruz, neither one can fix the damage that`s been done by themselves. Moreover, the establishment—like a pack of wolves—waits eagerly to teach them a lesson about true power in D.C.

Thanks for your patriotism and your readership. God bless you and our nation.

Well, “The Donald” has posted his first campaign ad on YouTube, and it wasn`t bad. Most of you that have known me for a long time and have been readers of this blog, when I`m active or not, know that I`m a Cruz fan because he truly reminds me of Ronald Reagan.

In spite of the fact the Donald Trump has some serious warts on his political hind end, I`m still helping the election cycle cause by using his politically incorrect bravado to break the iron-fisted hold that political correctness has had on political discourse for more than a decade, and in particular, since King Obama`s reign. So, having set the premise, I posted Trumps video on my FB wall to simply share it and to let folks know, that may not have known, that he had an ad out there. Man…it turned into a slugfest in a hot second.

Now, I`m no angel on FB. I`ve had to go back, as a Conservative Christian, and delete my own posts because they just weren’t productive or acceptable for me to post. However, in this case, I was just trying to help. Within moments there were Trumpets, as I call them, waiting to pounce on anyone that dared to criticize Trump (more on this topic in a sec). Soon there was a really nasty and profane argument going on between the two political factions (the same old sickening D vs. R) and against Trump vs. Cruz voters. I finally had to just delete that damn thing; it was pathetic. Which brings me to my point: we cannot have a debate about politics anymore because we are not debating American politics, we are debating the America we once knew vs. the fundamental transformation of America into Amerika.

It`s not the simple agree to disagree and go to the voting booth like our grandfathers did. No, not in this day and time. It`s Marxism vs. American Capitalism and this, I truly fear, will lead to bloodshed like it did in every major country throughout Asia and South America in the 20th century.
People truly HATE one another. The vitriolic and hateful statements on this thread made me decide just to nuke it. In good taste, I gave the participants a warning. I told them, “This thread will self-destruct in 30 seconds.” I did a countdown and hit delete.

The election that`s coming up is not about which party should lead; it`s about which economic system America will continue to function under, Socialism vs. Capitalism. This is a far more dangerous “appeal to emotion” that the political elitists are using to play Americans against one another. When you start to threaten taking one person`s personal property by using the police power of the government through elected scumbags, and so-called legal theft, you can see why the 20th century was the bloodiest in human history. Marx and Engels threw a grenade into the populous and ran away when they published the Communist Manifesto.

Back to the Trumpets (my nickname for Trump zombies): look, I like Trump, I`m forever grateful for what he`s done to topple political correctness and to spank the corrupt and dishonest media for their bias on illegal aliens; however, Trumpets are the for the most part so loyal to Trump that I don`t think they will vote for Cruz if Trump doesn`t get the nod. In contrast, the Cruz people, like myself, will gladly vote for Trump if he`s the nominee (there are exceptions of course).

The larger point is that we need to have a collective look in the mirror and try to begin to act once again as adults. I realize this socialist thing is dangerous as hell. I realize that Obama, the Republicans, the Democrats, and the media have made Americans mad as hell. I realize that no one is listening, so we keep screaming louder at them and each other. This is what the elitists in D.C. want. The Republicans and the Democrats have these fake fights in front of the media`s cameras and then head to the back room for cigars and martinis. If you`re a dyed-in-the-wool Republican or Democrat, you`re falling for their games.

A final thought: If you haven`t taken the time to look at the Article V movement, I highly suggest you do so. It gives “We the People” the power to fix things without bloodshed or by waiting for the next election cycle because we just got ripped off (like in 2014).

As the situation in Oregon with the militia grows more serious, and frankly grimmer, I pray that neither the government nor the militia will fire a shot. As a conservative I believe in following the rule of law until it becomes impossible to do so. Having said that, I blame a lawless president, and even more so, I blame the Republican Party for what we now see—American militias willing to die to prove that the government is not following the Constitution.

The Republicans were elected in 2010, 2012, and in 2014, especially, to be the opposition party to Obama and the Marxist Democrat Party. They, instead, became the partners of these lawless tyrants. If you do not see that we now live in a “post-Constitutional” America, then you are either a fool or a useful idiot of this tyrannical regime in DC. If people don`t quit treating this lawless man Obama like he`s just a normal misguided president and start realizing that “We the People” elected a criminal elitist into our precious Whitehouse, then we may see bloodshed for the first time since the Civil War in our beautiful homeland.

I pray we do not see the situation in Oregon turn into bloodshed; however, those of you that criticize these brave men and women for their stance do not understand the very serious nature of personal liberty and how easily, throughout human history, it can be lost. Do not be angry at desperate citizens, be angry at Republicans, Democrats, and “Obama the lawless.”

Most people who see the news that will be reported about the
militia situation will not give it much attention. If blood is shed, many will
shrug their shoulders and move on. The lack of concern for the Bill of Rights,
The Constitution, and other traditional American ideals is at the point of
turning American liberties into a thing of oral tradition, stories to be told
in bedtime tales to generations that never inherited these things because their
forefathers gave them away without a fight or a care. We are the Zombie Apocalypse.

I was sitting her tonight looking at a Tea Party ad (if it was a real news site, but that’s another story) and it said: Push to Fire Speaker Paul Ryan (eye roll). How many of us really think that`s going to happen. Remember, it was the so-called “Freedom Caucus” that put him in as speaker after they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. It was an amazing thing to see that small band of GOP Congressmen and women fight Boehner and the establishment. We were winning for once, and damn it felt good. But then, it`s like they felt guilty for turning down two speaker choices in a row. So, they accepted Paul "RINO" Ryan.

When I see these desperate ads and so-called campaigns to unseat Ryan (already), I have to shake my head. Folks, we are seeing something in America that none of us, even those of us in our 50`s, has never seen. We are seeing a government and a Congress that completely ignores the cries of the American people—this is new! I`ve never seen this type of behavior from Congress in my lifetime. Oh yes, I`ve seen bad deals, too much spending, Republicans that needed to call themselves Democrats because that’s who they really are, but I`ve never seen a time when the American people have stood shoulder to shoulder--as they did in 2009-10 with the Tea Party wave, 2012, and then in 2014--only to be completely ignored and lied to within days of the elections!

My brothers and sisters, how much more do you have to see before you take a very real and somber look at the only bloodless and legal solution that the Constitution gives us to fight a tyrannical and out of control government—Article V of the U.S. Constitution. In spite of the fact that the news media, Congress, Obama, and most of America (for that matter) are ignoring this Article V movement, it`s gaining some real legs, and we have a real shot if we can get people to pay attention and educate themselves about this solution.

I`m not saying people are dumb. I`m saying they are not taking this possible solution serious. They are not educating themselves on their rights under the Constitution. I`m saying that they are still of the mindset that the next election will fix this if we only elect the right conservatives to office. Yes, I agree that we need to do that as well; however, we`ve seen several men and women that were elected as conservatives turned into full blown RINOs when the Washington Cartel got ahold of their naïve asses.

Speaker Ryan and that arrogant, pompous A-hole McConnell have absolutely no intention of giving any F**Ks about what Americans want. They are totally bought and paid for by the new crony capitalist system we live under. Don`t be fooled folks, if you think that America will just bounce right back to the good `ole days when B.O is gone, don`t be fooled. He wasn`t the only elitist interested in transforming America. The establishment GOP wanted to transform America as well, not into a Marxist Utopia like the Democrats, but rather, into a total crony capitalist economy where the government and big corporations make all the decisions, ignoring regular working Americans.

(Yes, sir, can I kiss your ass sir?)

As we move toward the next election cycle, I`ve seen something both interesting and frightening. It`s been awesome to see Trump crush the age-old model of election time political correctness and the fan dancing sound bits. I`m not endorsing Trump, but he opened the door for other candidates to take the media on and push back on their default narratives and false premises. Having said that, we see the damn GOP attacking the candidates alongside the media and the Democrats—this is unlike anything I`ve ever seen in my life people!

I`m starting to think that it`s still possible to see a Hilary victory. I see the writing on the proverbial wall. Trump moves to the center. Cruz either joins Trump on his ticket or simply can`t endure the sheer numbers in terms of campaign funds needed to stop the establishment in both parties, and Hilary and Sanders will kiss and copulate forming a ticket that will bring the “sold-out-to-Marxism” college voting block right to the Democrats. Meanwhile, the GOP hates the conservative wing so damn bad that they will lose just to stay in power in the minority.

Then, it`s back to business: lies, corporate ties, and budget highs. Please, my friends, check out the Article V movement…it`s our only real shot at saving this Republic.

I was sitting here thinking about a conversation that I had about politics the
other night. It was actually civil. We parted ways agreeing to disagree. It was
abnormal I suppose, but I just didn't have the energy—you know? But it kept
bothering me, this conversation. It kept creeping into my mind: was it my ego?
Was it that I felt I hadn`t won the argument? Why was this conversation still
in my head? Then it hit me…he might have been nice but I could absolutely say
that he was criminally naive. And I`m so qualified to judge, you know. This
person, in my estimation, is so wrapped up in his own little world of goodies
that he has no real idea what other Americans, who either opposed Obama the
first election or learned their lesson and opposed him the second election,
have went through. People like ME!

See, this man was a school teacher. A union member. An American that may have
experienced a pay freeze or some furloughs, but he certainly didn't lose his
life`s savings, his home, his job, his everything…like some of us did. In fact,
like almost 50% of Americans in the private sector did. Hell, I had one guy, a
friend of mine that lives in my neighborhood that works for Hall County, unfriend me on FB. I guarantee he was sick of being reminded why he should feel
guilty about his never knowing what the great recession felt like! Callousness. No
I don`t read minds…it just makes sense that this guy saw my political posts and
didn`t want to be reminded of the fact that his government job isn't affected
by Obama, does. Then, I realized my mind was rather similar to those poor saps
in C.S. Lewis` work, The Screw tape Letters. In just the same way some people
disregard the suffering and pain of others in lieu of their own comforts and
securities, conversely, I pretend to know the mind and motives of others—it`s
the enemy folks.

The stuff I see in the news and on social media, and I`m no angel myself,
reminds me of the sad story of two men. Two men from the same
country—brothers—yet politics, government, and ideologies made them hate with a
burning hate. A hate that only demons can conjure-up.

I told my wife about a picture from Vietnam that haunted me.
It`s a famous picture but not for the right reasons. It`s not famous for what
it should be famous for—the sickness of hate. But rather, it is famous because
it was used for the media`s propaganda about one ideology or another. It`s
famous because it shows a summary execution in the street of some city in
Vietnam. But, again, not because of what it really represents—a South
Vietnamese officer shooting a young man in the head, killing him, on film. Killing
his own countrymen without hesitation. That`s the brutal truth.

He was a suspected Viet Cong spy. I remember looking at the
photo and examining it`s details: the frozen second of a man`s death. The speed
of film trying to beat the speed of a bullet from point blank range. The man is
caught in an agonizing frame of instant death. His eyes squinted, his body
tense and poised for the uncontrolled moment of eternity he faced—was he ready
to face eternity? We humans play God in these moments. History is replete with
moments like this, and why? These two men hated one another because of
GOVERNMENT! TELL ME I`M WRONG! You can`t tell me I`m wrong. People normally (in
these situations) either agree, ignore truth or facts, or say hurray for my
political party!

Still others get into the sickening weeds of philosophy, still clinging to
their pathetic beliefs in the party they dearly love! But there is no room for
philosophy here—this is ideology in it`s naked, raw, inhumane form. A man shot
his own fellow countryman in the head without a second thought or a moment of
grace because of GOVERNMENT! In this case, one side decided to take personal
property and liberty from their fellow man in the name of radical
egalitarianism, and to use the police power of government to do it. The other
side believed that what they earned, and owned, was theirs to keep, and that
the only way to stop all this maddening ideology, which was nothing more than
covetousness, was to spill blood! Communism equals covetousness—pure, raw,
radical, covetousness.

To this day the reporter, the liberals, the communists, the bleeding hearts,
and even those talking heads at your local football game would look at this
photo and pass easy judgement…as if they REALLY knew. They have NO clue what
these two men went through to get to that moment, that second, when one would
kill the other without a moment`s thought of humanity or dignity. They were
both tools for government. Don`t you see?

Back to my unlikely friend and our conversation. He`ll never know how I feel,
as he pulls the lever for Bernie 2016. What I`ve lost. What millions have lost?
And/or why we hate government so much. No. He will only worry about his next
paycheck from Georgia, what his favorite football team is doing, and is his
retirement fund okay. Naively believing that the real useful idiots are those
pesky Tea Party rednecks. But I would never shoot him in the head. Or would I? I
know the question sounds creepy, and I`m not a violent man, but how far can the
hate that government causes take a person? I bet that man in Vietnam never
thought he would shoot his neighbor in the head. I bet the guy that had a one
second photo shoot before eternity never thought he would either. Government is
so selfish and evil. It is the creator of callous covetousness.

This trade deal and its portrayal in the media, and by
politicians on both sides, reminds me of that old jingle, “Here I sit broken
hearted, tried to shit but only farted.”

Who can figure this thing out? You have the usual suspects:
unions, left wing activists, the GOP leadership (if you can actually use that
term), and conservatives lining up on all different sides of this thing. I`m a
huge fan of Sen. Jeff Session, Sen. Ted Cruz, and Breitbart News and each has a
different view on this matter in one way or another.

The Dems killed this thing today and since Obama, Boehner,
and McConnell all support this thing I have no choice but to clap for the Dems.
It`s a fact that anytime Boehner and McConnell rush to sit in Obama`s lap we the
people are getting it in the rear.

I was totally confused by Ted Cruz` support of the Senate
version. However, he has been fearless in allowing reporters to throw inside
fastballs at him on this issue and he has stood his ground and defended his
vote by saying the reports on this deal are not accurate. He also states that he
has skim-read the deal and that he sees nothing in it that alarms him,
personally.

I was never a “black-helicopter” guy until Obama came along.
I was converted to a full-blown conspiracy theorist in the last couple of years
as I’ve watched unbelievable things occur in this country and abroad, under
Obama. To see Pelosi walk alongside Obama as he headed into the Capital Building
to push the vote—knowing she planned to vote against the bill—makes me wonder
if this was a ruse all along to make the Dems look like free trade champions.

Let`s face it, Obama has run circles around the Republicans during
his term. Frankly, it`s reminiscent of American Pharaoh winning the Triple
Crown. The guy is always five horses ahead of the GOP idiots in Congress. We never win—“we” meaning conservatives.

The bottom line, I`m afraid, is that we are stuck in this
horrid rabbit hole of nightmares until January 20th of 2017. We have
no chance of getting anything done that will stop spending or grow the economy
until Obama is gone and the crony capitalists in the GOP are thrown the hell
out of office.

We live in a post-Constitutional America. The Constitution
is mentioned in the breech like a bad thigh rash. It`s never considered at the
beginning of any debate. The word “Constitution” has become archaic nomenclature
for fools and romantics. Our millennials are more clueless than Chief Inspector
Clouseau in a Pink Panther movie.

My daughter recently turned 26. She called me one day and
said that she was soon to be off her mother`s insurance because of her age and
she wanted a cheap policy for her and my granddaughter. She was going right
into a description of what she needed and I stopped her and said, “It doesn`t
exist.” She paused for a second and asked what I meant. I said “Honey, it is
illegal under Obamacare…the policy you want to buy does not exist.” She was
shocked. I said to her, “Remember dad telling you that one day politics would
become important to you?” It was a real “teachable” moment for her,
unfortunately.

I suppose my “plan B” will have to remain in place to keep
my sanity intact. My plan B is to try and remember the good times in America,
realize what I can control and what I cannot, and to focus on what I can
control rather than what I cannot. What the hell`s the point in walking around
pissed off? It is what it is until Obama and the RINOs are gone.

The world is unfair: Let`s give everyone back their property

The great Winston Churchill once said, and I`m paraphrasing:
The truth is the most important thing in the world, and it`s usually surrounded
by a bodyguard of lies. The thought of social justice, economic justice, and equality
are all both noble and right; however, we are at a place in time where the
truth about how to attain these noble goals is surrounded by a steel wall of
lies.

I wonder if the Statists (a term for leftists coined by Mark
Levin) have ever thought through their arguments about fairness and equality to
a logical end. What I mean to say is this: nothing in life is fair nor has it
ever been fair. It`s impossible in an imperfect world to be fair.

They call America imperialist. They claim America has stolen
it`s wealth from the world, unfairly. They don`t like capitalism because it has
winners and a losers. We conquered land from the Indians and the Mexicans. We
enslaved the black man and he has never been able to recover, fully; never mind
that over 750,000 men died during the Civil War that was fought to right the
wrong of slavery. I could go on and on but I think the reader, by now, gets my
point. Americanism is considered bad to the left and to the world. They believe
they have the answer to fairness and equality. If you don`t agree with them
they will just ram it down your throat. We`ve seen this movie before. History
is replete with examples of men`s ideas of fairness though government.

If we are intellectually honest about this whole mess called
humanity we can see throughout history that all men, all nations, all cultures
have conquered lands, raped and pillaged, stole property and wealth, and
enslaved one another. I have an idea—how about we give it all back to the
original owners? I would only ask my liberal friends one question: where would
we start? Would we start with the Greeks? How about the Romans? Or would we
start with France, England, or Spain? At what point in human history, and in
which culture, would we start to make things right and give back what has been
stolen, pillaged, plundered, or conquered over the vast expanse of time?

The real problem is not in governments or economics, the
real problem lies in the human heart. It is evil above all things. Power
corrupts mens` hearts. This is why
Madison (in Federalist #51) said:

“If men were angels, no government would be
necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls
on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be
administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: You must first
enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place, oblige it
to control itself. A dependence on the people is no doubt the primary control
on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary
precautions.”

This evil has plagued mankind throughout recorded history. Once
America was unique in human history because we controlled our government. Our Constitution
was respected by both political parties. We now live in a post-Constitutional
America with a weird mixture of crony capitalism and socialism. We have been
headed down this road since FDR in the 1930`s. We had a brief period of true
capitalism under Ronald Reagan but George Bush began to undo Reagan`s policies
once he became the new president. Obama, the establishment Republicans, and the
liberals have only exacerbated the problems we face.

Everyone thinks our economy is normal. The media reports it
like it`s true, the Democrats and Republicans say it`s true, and so does Obama.
If your under 25 years of age you`ve never seen real job growth in your adult
life. The Millennials have never seen a robust, capitalist economy. Again, the
last time we had real growth was during the Reagan Administration. History tells
the truth about government and economics. Just look back at the 20th
century in particular.

The entire 20th century was a great blood bath in
human history. This was sparked by the revolutionary manifesto of Karl Marx and
his economic theories.

We are now 70 years past the end of WWII and approximately
50 years past some of the most horrible atrocities seen in the 20th
century. It has been about 160 years since the publication of The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx (1848).
I would argue, in human terms, that outside of the life and death of Jesus
Christ, no one has affected the world as much as Karl Marx and John Engels.

Our children do not know about the real history of
Communism, Fascism, Socialism, or any other of the nasty “isms” that have torn
this world apart in the name of economic and social justice. I wish these young
people would spend some time on YouTube watching the historical documentaries—in
detail—of the Lenin Revolution, Stalin, Mao, Pol-Pot, and all the others. I
wish they would watch the stories of the Cold War Era and the Warsaw Pact. I
wish they could understand that history is repeating and we are now facing the
same old authoritarian nature of the human heart from all directions, including
Washington D.C. Not to mention the Neo-Nazi Islamists who are conquering,
raping, pillaging, plundering, and beheading everyone in their path toward the
new Caliphate.

So…again…I ask my liberal friends: Should we give it all
back? If so, with whom or where shall we start the process? After all, we just
want to be fair…right? And I`m sure this time around we will be able to trust
governments and men to be totally fair, honest, and humane with the power they wield.
Right?

It`s become old fashion to think that men could rule themselves
without a centralized, all-powerful government. Just like the 20th
century, we need a ruling class elite to run our lives from on high…right? It
will be different this time—because they say so…right?

This is no laughing matter my friends. We had better look to
history to see our future.

The Duluth, Minnesota Lynching (1920) http://upload.wikimedia.org/

I want to ask the black community in Baltimore, and in other
areas of rioting and protest, a very serious question. My question concerns a
topic that they should know all too well from history: What is justice? What is
due process? Are we seeing justice in Baltimore? Or is this a more nefarious
thing—mob rule. Do you remember the stories from your fathers and grandfather
of mob rule?

There was actually a time when a segment of our citizens
lived without due process rights. This was an ugly and horrifying truth for
black Americans, primarily. Imagine a scene where you are at your dinner table
with your wife and child and suddenly the door is kicked in and a mob of angry
men takes you, your wife and child, out the door screaming threats of violence
and even death. You know that you have no one that will stand for you. You have
no judge that will hear your cries for justice, and you have no recourse against
this huge mob that intends to decide your fate. This happened to blacks on a
regular basis in our nation`s history.

If we lose true “due process” in our legal system to satisfy
the demands for justice from an angry mob, we are headed down a horrifying and
dangerous road. If you study, with intellectual honesty, the event of the
prosecutor`s press conference and the charges leveled at police officers in the
arrest of Freddie Gray, you will see the elements of justice driven by mob rule,
without true due process. Let me explain.

First and foremost, no one in the media or the mob of
protestors and rioters knows what happened to Freddie Gray during and after his
arrest. If the officers did in fact do something wrong, accidental or with
malice of forethought, they should face serious charges; however, NO OONE knows
for sure at this point and they certainly didn`t know during the rioting and
destruction of government and private property. Secondly, when we see police
use extreme force to put down a riot (which did not happen in Baltimore,
unfortunately), we are actually seeing the police do what they should do to
protect our Constitutional rights and to protect government property, private
property, and innocent citizens.

Instead of seeing law and order, protection of property and
innocent citizens, we saw a militant mob—angry, vengeful, and opportunist in
nature—destroy Baltimore as police were ordered to stand down. Once this
horrible monster—the criminal mob—was set loose, there was no turning back and
the damage to the city, and to individuals, is enormous.

Finally, when the prosecutor held her press conference she
not only threw as many charges at these officers as she could,
including—shockingly—Second Degree Murder, but she then went on to speak to the
criminal mobs that chanted “No justice, no peace” as if they were worthy of a
voice. According to media reports (and the officers` attorney), the prosecutor
only had the actual arrest report for a few hours. This would not give her time
to consider, in any serious manor, the charges that should be brought, if any
at all. There has been no Grand Jury called to investigate the evidence, she
just blasted out a multitude of shocking charges and then patted the mob on the
head and said, don`t worry…I got this, you will get your so-called justice. She
didn`t say these words out loud but they were saturated in the subtext of her
rhetoric.

This might not look the same as the black man and his family
at the dinner table in the early 19th Century; however, it is without
a doubt an apples-to-apples comparison. These officers, just like the murderer,
the rapist, and the Islamic Terrorist (which I personally do not support, for
God`s sake), or anyone else, deserve due process. They deserve a proper
investigation of the evidence, a Grand Jury, and a prosecutor that believes in
opening his/her mouth only after naming specific crimes, not just specific
charges. In her press conference she did not name one specific crime for which
she could say they had hard evidence. She simply tossed the mud on the wall
with the hope of satisfying political ends and the criminal mob. I`m frightened
that these officers will not be able to face an untainted jury. I`m scarfed
they will face mob justice rather than due process. If you support this kind of
justice just ask yourself if you would like this kind of process if or when you
face a serious criminal charge, or charges.

To my fellow black Americans that support the
“sling-mud-at-the-wall” techniques of the Baltimore Prosecutor, I would ask you
if you support due process or if you think Americans should take a step
backward into the dark times your people experienced themselves? Which is the
more honorable stance, to believe in due process or to allow for mob justice
and revenge as a road to satisfaction.

This question requires one to step back from anger, racism,
revenge, and the emotional appeals of the political elite which use the “useful
idiots” throughout history to grab power.

This is a lynching by political elitists and a criminal mob
that does not have the civility or maturity to wait for facts to emerge and
evidence to be weighed. You have to realize that once you set this kind of
precedent, once you unleash this kind of government police power, once you use
mob rule rather than equal justice under the law and due process, you unleash
it on yourself as well. It is only a matter of time before you will suffer the
same lack of due process and a frightening hell of merciless injustice at the
hands of men that care little for humanity over their political ends.

If anyone should understand this, it should be the black community that is calling for these officers to be drawn and quartered as
fast as possible.

I remember watching a show that was so popular in the 80` and 90`s. It`s last episode was a decade ago. Robin Leach, with his thick British accent, took Americans on an inside tour of the lifestyles of rich and famous people all over the globe--`Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.’ In America, it was a time of prosperity for anyone that wished to change his or her station in life (1980-1990`s). The economy was booming, unemployment rates rarely reached 5%, and if they did, people raised hell. Political correctness was laughed at in light of Americans dearly held belief in the First Amendment. America wasn`t a bully in the world, rouge nations and dictatorial regimes just knew better than to push us around. We kept the world in check. Peace through strength was a belief from the long tradition of the Monroe Doctrine. It was a different time. As a boy who grew up in a Conservative Democrat home that became a Reagan Democrat in 1984, I`ve personally witnessed the historical fact that free markets—capitalism (not crony capitalism)—create the greatest equality for all.

As I watched a totally disconnected President and political class speak at us, and not to us, in the SOTU last night, I was reminded of Robin Leaches old show. I could retire from the money spent on cosmetic surgery in that chamber, alone. I watched as these wealthy (and for some…uber wealthy) politicians hugged, smiled, and chatted like the world was grand…nothing is wrong…and they have it all together if we just follow their lead. That whole stand up, sit down, clap—don’t clap, garbage makes my gag reflex strain. It was like watching the clapping seals at the circus that await the trainer to throw them a fish. It`s all so surreal. Yet, it`s very real, and we are the ones paying for ‘The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.’ Moreover, our children and grandchildren are now on the dime for this mess....

So much of our history is lost, untold, or revised in ways
that shred the truth of the patriots that gave all they had in the
Revolutionary War. These patriots did so to secure a nation ruled by laws and
not by men. They knew all too well the smothering grip of government without representation,
or free elections. The word liberty is like a tired old commercial jingle that
no one wants to hear, nor do they understand it when they do. Most people have
no clue about human history and that the vast expanse of humanity never lived
in liberty or freedom, as it once existed in America. I was listening to Mark
Levin the other night and he spoke of a patriot that was quite unusual—although
not alone. His name was Salem Poor and he was a war hero at the battle of
Bunker Hill on June 17, 1775.

The story of Salem
Poor

Salem Poor was an African-American slave when he was born in
Massachusetts sometime around 1745. He purchased his freedom, as was lawful in
some of the Northern States at that time, for about 27 pounds. The fascinating thing
is that rather than turn and run from the very colonies which had enslaved him,
Salem Poor joined the fight for liberty. What drives a man to do such a thing?
This is an important question to ponder.

Historical records show that Salem Poor joined the Minute
Men at the battle of Lexington and Concord in April of 1775. This battle was
the opening British strike of the American Revolution; it`s also the place
where the now famous ride of Paul Revere took place, warning the patriots: “The
British are coming.” The British suffered some 273 casualties as Minute Men,
farmers, and villagers shot from behind every tree, rock, and blade of grass
ripping the retreating British soldiers to shreds. Salem Poor was there—fighting
for liberty.

Salem Poor went on to fight in other battles, most notably
at Bunker Hill where he is rumored to have shot and killed British
Lieutenant-Colonel Abercrombie. His comrades thought so highly of Poor`s actions
in that horrific battle that he was recommended for a commendation by his
peers:

"The subscribers beg leave, to report to your Honorable
House - which we do in justice to the character of so brave a man - that under
our own observation, we declare that a negro man called Salem Poor, of Colonel
Frye's regiment, Captain Ames' company, in the late Battle at Charlestown,
behaved like an experienced officer, as well as an excellent soldier. To set
forth the particulars of his conduct would be tedious, we would only beg leave
to say that in the Person of this said negro centers a brave and gallant
soldier. The reward due to so great and distinguished a character, we submit to
the Congress" (celebrateboston.com/biography/salem-poor.htm, 2014).

In spite of his great heroism, it seems that Salem Poor died
in complete poverty in 1802.

The New
African-American

When I first heard the story of Salem Poor I was almost
moved to tears. The thought of this man taking the hope of liberty onto the
battle field within the very colonies that had enslaved him shows true
character and a lack of resentment. History also shows that Salem wasn`t alone,
many other freed slaves (and slaves) fought in the Revolution. This shows the
deeply embedded desire for liberty in every human heart. Liberty is not the
same as freedom. China has some freedom. Russia has freedom. Nations of all
kinds have certain freedoms; human liberty is altogether different than
freedom. The American Black Man had a two-fold struggle for liberty and
freedom, and our Constitution was drafted to deal with that very issue at the
right time.

The Southern States relied heavily on their trade with
Europe and the slave labor they used to accomplish their goals. The history is
very logical and clear, to an open mind, that abolishing slavery during the
colonization wasn`t going to happen. Furthermore, when the Revolution was won
and the Articles of Confederation were in place, there was no possible way to
hold the fragile new nation together and deal with the question of slavery. The
framers knew when they drafted the new Constitution in the Congress of 1787-89
that, again, this issue would not be able to be dealt with because they needed
the Southern States to help ratify the new Constitution.

Why aren’t these stories told to our children anymore? Why
is it that the black community—now hyphenated as African-Americans instead of
just Americans—aren’t told about the heroes of their past? Why are the black communities
used by white liberals and race hustlers like Al Sharpton to promote a new
slavery—the government plantation. The story of Salem Poor should be shouted on
roof-tops in these communities so that they can know the true struggle that occurred
to untangle slavery from America. Moreover, it was a struggle to untangle
slavery from Europe as well; they just started sooner than the colonies and
made better progress.

The facts are clear, the world has used slaves of all races,
creeds, and colors for the entire expanse of recorded human history. Why does
America not get the same pass on this issue as Egypt, Greece, Rome, Spain,
France, Britain, Africa, Asia, and the great empires of history?

Stories like that of Salem Poor show a much different angle
on history than most of our children now hold. Share this great story with your
friends, family, children, and grandchildren.

So here we are again, the Republican base—made up of Tea
Party members, Independents and Democrats that are fed up with Obama,
Conservatives, and Republicans that are corporatists. Once again we have been
duped. This time it was at lightning speed. It happened less than 6 weeks from
the election.

We Conservatives find ourselves on the dark side of the
moon. Men and women without a party. We all do what we can as patriots: calling
our reps, emails, donations to the Tea Party, faxes, and blog posts. It`s all
for not. No one is listening. These newly re-elected Republicans have four more
years to feed at the “K” street pig trough. Obama laughed his behind off as he
headed to yet another vacation. The rest of us linger—waiting to see the other
shoe drop. Every time we think we may have gained some ground, someone in one
or both political parties pulls the rug out from under our feet. America takes
another gut punch.

I was scrolling over Facebook looking at the comments,
anti-Obama posters, the disgruntled Republicans and Conservatives and I
realized more than ever that we must have an Article V convention to stop these
political swine that feed on us, our children, and grandchildren. None of us—to
include the WWII generation has ever seen anything like what we are seeing
today in America.

The true power base

My dear friends, all is not lost. There are 30 plus states
that have passed resolutions to hold an Article V Convention of the States.
There have been several productive meetings since December of last year where
representatives from all 50 states have shown up and discussed this option. The
state legislatures are where our true power lies. Yes, this is a hard
undertaking, it requires a lot of foot work on the grass roots level; however, we
have the numbers in place in terms of Republican controlled state legislatures.

This is our only answer. Another election cycle won`t do it.
Another RINO candidate coroneted by the establishment will cost us yet another
Presidential Election. Gripping and bitching on social media sites feels good
but gains nothing. We must convince other Americas to get educated about the
Article V amendment process and we must get to know our state representatives
and encourage them to act on this movement; a movement that is truly gaining
momentum under the radar.

Most Americans are sick of politics. It`s hard, as a writer,
to get people to pay attention to the situation we now find ourselves in as a
nation. Most people feel very good about the results of the November elections.
They were happy to see the Republicans gain the Senate and to further their
hold in the House; however, we have already seen in less than a month that
Republicans will NOT do what it takes to stop Obama and his lawlessness.

Some don`t want to think about this conundrum, others will
simply put their political heads back in the sand, others will criticize the
conservatives and the Tea Party for being so hard to please. The truth is far
more important than political parties—the truth is that we are now living in a
post-Constitutional nation. So then, what do we do?

We have now seen for sure that simply winning elections is
not enough. We watched Mitch McConnell campaign (because a no-name, Tea Party,
local businessman almost cleaned his clock in the primary) on the fact that he
would REPEAL Obamacare. We saw all of the Republican leadership make this
promise, and now, we see them lining up at the microphone to capitulate and
walk back these promises. Their big business, crony-capitalist donors have them
chained to Obamacare and illegal immigration. Both Republicans and Democrats
gain from these acts; Republicans satisfy their corporate donors and Democrats
gain voters and welfare lifers.

There are truly two Americas today. This was a political
buzzword that the left used all the time in the last decade and it wasn`t true
at the time; however, it`s more true than ever before, today. On one side we
have rich people, politicians, and government employees who are doing just fine;
on the other side, we have the middle class, the private sector, and the poor
who are scraping by like America is some third world nation. Jobs that were
once available to high school graduates now require a bachelor’s degree at the minimum.
Full time jobs are almost impossible to land. Most Americans in the second
class I described either have several part time jobs or have fallen into the
welfare trap. Is anyone listening? Does anyone care?

Article V Convention
of the states

There is a solution that is within our grasp. It`s not an
easy solution but it is doable because we now have 27 states under Republican
control in their state legislatures. Article V was written in the waning hours
of the Constitutional Convention in 1787-89. It was one of the last articles
written. The framers realized that if the only way to amend the Constitution
was thrugh the Congress that a tyrannical Congress would not pass amendments to
correct their own un-Constitutional behavior. The second portion of Article V
gives the state legislatures total power—through the people—to amend the
Constitution with no interference from Washington, the President, or the
courts. This, ladies and gentlemen, is our only answer to stop Obama, the
Democrats, the Republicans, and the un-elected fourth branch of government—the bureaucracy.

There have been several meetings between representatives
from all fifty states to move forward with this convention process. We could implement
a balanced budget amendment, an amendment for term limits on both the Congress
and the Supreme Court, and we could abolish the IRS (among other things).

There are a number of sources out there that are scholarly
and informative; however, none is as scholarly as Mark Levin`s book “The Liberty Amendments: Restoring the American Republic.” In his book, Levin lays
out the case, the process, and the history of this process. I encourage you to
take the time to research this growing movement. We must pass down the same
America to our children and grandchildren that was handed down to us!

Picture a hill overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean Sea
in Athens Greece. The breeze blowing and the smells of the water coming to
shore as billowing clouds float ever so slow. Mars Hill is both beautiful and
famous for many reasons; however, none is as important as the history of
rhetoric. Moreover, what is rhetoric? These same questions were asked by
Isocrates, Plato, Gorgias, and Aristotle to name only a few of the ancient
philosophers of Greece. The beauty of these ancient men was in their
willingness to sort-of hash things out (in modern terms) rather than shout lies
at one another.
