Tho we are doing some crazy shit and I would love to give you sneak peek. I can't.

It dawned on me recently that I may need more time to do what I need to do. It's a tough realisation for me. And to make things worse my computer screen adapter literally blew up. So I gotta get a new fucking screen, which is annoying. But it is what it is, I guess I needed a bit of a break anyway.

I've been gone for so long but i've been doing things. And i have completely forgot my journal. Shame on me.

it's something past 8 in the evening and i was trying to write to a song (having a hard time as well mind you) when i remembered my blog and i thought i should write a few words. i'll give you a short brief on how the last few months have been for me.

JANUARY-
Started out with about 4 new games (i'm a gamer so my girl just buys me games for christmas, i don't really want anything else) and a hole load of questions for me to answer. So as i was playing thru the games one by one, i was searching in myself the answer to said question. Kinda like a meditation. The questions was simple but complex 1) how long can i actually do music for? 2) Is it actually worth it? 3) how much energy will it actually take to change a rock to a diamond? (if you understand what i'm saying). and questions like that, the questions that all musicians asked themselves at some point. Because it was cold as fuck outside and i was broke too i pretty much stayed in played computer and thought that entire month, it was almost like it didn't happen.

FEBRUARY-
Basically was the same thing but the difference i was started talking to the folks around me, i was asking serious questions like 'is this it? is this all we get if it do it this way?' which prompted another big question 'WHAT ELSE ARE YOU WILLING TO DO?' musically that is. and the answer is pretty much i can do anything,............. it went around like that for february. i started back up operations tho. started doing light work on some tunes here and there but nothing crazy.

MARCH-
I had finished the 4 games by now and came to my conclusion that i am a studio child and thats all there is to it! It's the life i chose as a teenager and until it gives me ABSOLUTELY nothing any more I'll stop. until then it's all systems go! So things started to pick up again. Which leads us right to now!

MY YEARS PLAN
This can be summed up in one word PRODUCING! getting behind the boards for people i know is an important part of what i do. i need to let people know that i can produce as well as i can rhyme, for other people as well as myself. At the moment i have 3 very important things i want to do before the end of the year. 1 is nearly finished 1 has just about started and the other is around about the half way point. All important, all vital to my growth and the people who i'm working with all must finish This year. Also i got another one thats starting to look real interesting, it's starting to grow legs and sit up, and it's looking good.

The truth is i had some real soul searching to do with this music lark and i came to the realest conclusion i could come up with. do it till you can't do it any more. until you naturally set it aside like a child does with a toy. i don't know how long it will take but it happens it's full steam ahead.

Haven't said a lot recently.

So the bottom line is i got my mac fixed. it wasn't a big problem quite small actually, so now i fixed it up i had a chance to clear my hole computer and start again. which i was sooooo.... happy to do cos it's a cleansing process. Almost like a rebirth!!

got a new operating system.... i got that lion shit. it's ok i got to get used to the change a little bit cos there are subtle differences.

NEways!!!!

a clean start was required still!!! So i was in the biggest beat slump for a long time!!! so i decided to shut my mouth and get into it. In a few days i made quite a few beats. some good, some real good and some terrible!! but it's all good!

I just looked at it as an exercise in getting back to my best. the beats are real simple, sample, drums, bass..... thats it for the most part. Reason why? 2013 Is gonna be a real producer year for me.

I'm gonna be behind the boards for a hole lot and i need to be in peak condition for all of it.

I always wanted to do something on the grinch and since it's the season i figured why not do a little short play based on it. I'll put that up on this blog soon. it's short, it was done quickly, it's simple but it's cool and a fun listen. All those that are used to my progressive style of beat making....... forget it with this one lol!!! anyway,

the software, and it should work.

how one part of the show went. if you listen close you will hear the mistakes by me in there 2 big clear as day ones. maybe 3 if you listen even closer.

I was taught tho to own your mistakes cos they are yours also. But always learn from them otherwise you are an uncivilized coot!! or asshole! so those 3 mistakes....... say 2 and half mistakes are mine to learn from. and yours too. the moral, try not to fuck up when people are watching!! The show.... what can i say about it. Where to begin?

Guess i'll start at the start horrible start.

The day started with me sick as fuck! I had a cold. Still do actually. My nephew belled me about 12ish and was like 'Yo i'mma come thru and get you later on.'

Long story short he didn't come. We both turned up late to the sound check. Not a good start. Marcus was pissed (he can't lie and say he wasn't). But we did sound check anyway and it was cool. My cousin, nephew, my boy illicit and myself did a set all together. We had 45 minutes on stage together and the set was 45 minutes long dead on.

Thats the running order tho!!

My cousin pretty much did his EP (go and download that). Illicit Did 2 new tunes The staircase and another song which i didn't catch the name to, i think that second one is off his album that he hasn't finished completely yet. None of those songs are online yet though.

The tracks me and my nephew did was Animainiantics (off of the welcome to the sandcastle album) , my Clean house (off the i'm up now album) and DROP (off of an as yet untitled project with ten twenty seven).

After the sound check markie put his i pod on the dj set and left out to come back later. us lot chilled out in the back.

Cutting a long story short tho next to no one turned up. i think there was only about 10 or 15 people. many of them were folks we know, one or two were strangers to me but not to other people. I was ok with the fact that there wasn't many people there, because as far as i was concerned this is what it means to PAY YOUR DUES!!!! It's a position i always wanted to be in and i can safely say that the journey has begun.

Anyways time went on, not many more was showing up, so the first act went up. Eneeks went up and performed some real good music. He did a acoustic set with a guitarist i like that. By the time eneeks finished we were next, and marcus wasn't back yet. So we had to wait. It was ok tho i didn't mind and neither did anybody else much. So we chilled for a bit. As i was talking to Dave about 15 minutes later marcus walks in. as soon as he came in we kinda went straight into it. Then things happened. Illicit went up did a perfect set, me and nephew went up second, nephew did really well but i fucked up 2wice! NOT GOOD!! Tho we got the crowd into it and we were hyped up, i messed up big time noticeably (to me anyway). Tho i was dumb sick I took it with a smile and went on. But underneath i was pissed completely. It was what it was tho, was a good experience and we hyped up what little crowd was present for marcus to come in. When he did, he went up and did his thing, not messing up once and merking the dance.

My friends was there taking pictures and shooting all types of video which was joke, Dave said he took a thousand or so pictures of everyone performing, before the show and a bit after, but he ain't gone thru it properly yet. Heres just some he had ready

When i get more of these i will be sure to post em up. You'll probably see them all over the gaff anyway!

After markie came off it was Savage ballet's turn. Again more of the same bang on performances. No mistakes, good songs, all that really matters.

So after it was all done people said to me that i still got it..... Blessing...... but i fucked up. and i knew it. all good tho. cut a long story short, the next day i lost my voice and felt worse then the day before. GREAT!!! LOL!!!!

bottom line i need more practice on stage (or maybe i shouldn't perform when i'm fucking sick init?). Hopefully in 2013 i'll get more!!

Today i had a little thought about a little thing called lyricism, indeed a dynamite topic. I was chilling in the yard reading a online forum on rapgenius.com (i think it is). On there they were saying that the more complex the rhyming scheme with metaphors, that all add up to a deep meaning.... makes the rapper skillful and a 'great lyricist.'

Someone said something else to that stuck in mind, they said that when a lyricist says one or two lines that can be read loads of different ways, that shows skill and keeps the listener on the edge of his seat.

Which got me thinking on a serious level.

First off i started thinking about WU!!

Now i was one of the biggest wu fans back in the day ( not saying they ain't deep now). And i thought to myself not only did wu come up with their own language (that we were all supposed to just get) but they rhymed slang with other slang that no one but them knew what they were talking about.

They were and still are one of the biggest crew of mc's that say one liners and it means multiple things. In there own language. If you could remember on the wu forever album RZA was like 'their not even gonna get this until the year 2G!' We all used to rap those bars without actually knowing what the fuck we were talking about.

I remember listening to a wu tune with my older brother and he was like 'what the fuck are they talking about? Kill your dog and rape your cat and shit on your girl?' that same day i started listening to The streets (Mike skinner) and my brother was pointing out to me everything he was saying line for line without even being a mike skinner fan. smiling at all the drug shit he would talk about, giggling at the little dealer and geezer lines that mike would say. That shit never left me.

So i got to thinking and asking some questions. One of them was, if you really have something to say...... Why hide it? why hide it with rhyming word games and odd metaphors that take years to fucking decypher? why not be direct? for the wu example you had to actually first learn their slang, and in doing that it only opened the gate to getting to learn what they were talking about. them man were in their own worlds no doubt.

Mobb deep were no different. their own slang their world.

This made me probe a little deeper now. In the London underground hip hop scene lyricism is a big deal. If you don't have a million triple entendre's and a couple thousand rhyming triplets some killer punch lines and masterful metaphors with an over all meaning of either:

i'm real init
i'm ghetto/road shit
i'm styling on ya
i'm the boss
i'm the concious thug (which i will never understand)
i am the villian
the worlds falling apart and it's everyone elses fault
i am the ultimate player and i have nutted in your girls mouth befor you
everything is shit/ doomsday prediction raps/illuminati conspiracy drivel
death threat rap (which i think is a waste of air and sound)
and the know it all rapper (can solve of the worlds problems with his bars!! hate those lot the worst cos they will go on richeous and fuck thier best friends wife death to all those uncivilized cretons!!!)

in a 32 bar verse then you ain't shit........

spit your ass off. give me your soul. my point is the streets barely raps on beat i know exactly what he's talking about first time. Wu spit, and i have to wait till '2G' to get what the fuck they are on about. yet still people will turn their nose up at mike skinner cos his skill level ain't up there and completely miss the picture this little white boy is painting.

Today i feel people are lost in the lyricism, if you got something to say make accessible and easy to get that message. Now I'm not saying go on like woka floka......... and by no means am i saying go on like mike skinner.............. but by no means should you go on like wu or mobb deep either!!! people forget that folks are supposed to feel where you are coming from and tho the London scene is stuck in this 90's rap dream where everyone wants to be the first British nas or biggie or wu or big L or indeed mobb deep we need to make it clear we are us!!!! so no point talking about road when you work at tesco's and don't associate with them man no more. no point over doing the conscious thing when your up west end on the weekend. BARE PEOPLE DO IT! they will write so hard to let me and you know they are serious people and to take them seriously. While the few people who write what they really think with out all the word games and all that bollocks are considered wack. Why?

When i talk to people i talk directly, there is no room to misconception. I don't talk about the 12 jewels wisdom to just any one. They won't know what the fuck I'm talking about. i can't have Brother polight like conversations with just anyone. When people rhyme that's exactly what they are doing. don't know what I'm talking about?..... then learn! I'm over here tho! let me know when you catch up.

NO!!! one thing i love about the late eighties early 90's (public enemy, KRS1, CL smooth and more) is that them man there taught you things. they didn't just spit shit and expect you to know, they taught!

These men lived that shit they talked! and i loved them for it! even as a young en i could see that they were something to admire. They not just told you, they told you why also clearly! If your gonna go that route go this way!

to conclude this book of a thought lol!! i believe that guys nowadays spit to spit. copy what was done before without really putting themselves in the bars. It cannot be all war stories and how to instructions on putting your life right when your life is in shambles. That's why i don't mind Lil wayne and all them.

These men are rich and popular and their rhymes represent that! it really isn't their fault that man copy them and play their music everywhere, you know how they rhyme and it gets boring. That's them, if your an artist you should want the same fucking thing for yourself. i wonder how many of these so called conscious rappers will stay conscious with 20 mil in the bank. Cause my rhymes will forever represent what I'm going through, and if my world is being chauffeur driven, shopping in the finest places for things and flying all around to do shows and shit like that. you can bet my rhymes will depict that life, cause it's my life at the time. Nothing more. why go on like I'm struggling and my family and loved ones are struggling when they will not be at that stage? is what it is tho. Anybody tells me at that stage I've sold out I'm knocking them out, cos like 50 said you prefer me broke then?

Went off on a tangent their LOL!! but you get what i mean! spitting that tabernacle rap shit without teaching the people what that tabernacle shit means (if not through your rhymes then through your actions at least) is bitch shit! TO ME ANYWAYS!

This song is not really a song. it's me playing the keyboard to a little loop. i just recorded it straight no edits. just me playing for as long as i felt like. a real organic piece. the guitar is something different tho. the actual guitar comes from a busker, folks in london may know him.

You know the black guy busker that sits in central london and plays guitar..... BEAUTIFULLY!!?? If your into music and you've heard him you know exactly what and who i mean. he has a heavy delay on the guitar and the sound is just beautiful...... but anyway, he gave his album of work to my nephew and it found it's way to me. So it's kinda my homage to PAUL SEBASTIAN!!! The great central london guitarist.

Long story short tho, i spoke to him and got his blessing to play this to you.

Folks! what's popping, i ain't spoke to you in a long time. i 've been kinda busy doing what mattes, cause that is the only thing that could keep me away from you for so long lol!!!

Anyways i thought it would be a cool thing to do, to show you my personal notice board. if you look at the picture close (those that care to) you will see that i've etched a few things off. but not many. Some i can't do just now, simply cause it's gonna take a little time to pull off. like for example i have a project going on right now involving some good people overseas (ain't saying no names yet) and thats gonna take time cos they have lists of their own and things they need to do too. So this list alone can comfortably take me to next year. EASY.

but i'm trying to get some of the things that should be done quickly....... done quickly you get me? So there is a lot of immediate work to do. Play times don't come much, but when they do i play as much as i can. gone back to that old artist thing of not going out much and moaning a lot at the tv whenever i get a chance to watch it. But it's ok it's the life i chose, so my decision is all golden and i can't make myself feel like i fucked up.... get me? fuck it onwards and upwards!!!

is my little darling. my history. like a photo album of my early 20's.

this computer was sitting in my room for years broken and the other day me and my girlfriend did the unthinkable and fucking fixed it!! For me probably that was one of the the best days in my life when that got fixed. It unearthed a hole load of old ideas old mindsets and things of that matter. Not all of them were AMAZING!!! but the ones that stood out, stood out for all the right reasons.

Some great ideas i may have to re-do and some great ideas i have to finish off cos i started a lot cool stuff and never finished it (as you do). I haven't even begun to to go into the stuff on this thing that i really really want to do. there is a lot here but there is a lot more on there that is my nephews work. Loads more in fact. which is a great thing for him, i realize he lost a lot more than i did when the computer broke down. he'll get it all back soon tho!!! (HAPPY DAYS!)

Theres next things going on my friend TE1 just had a new born daughter (congratulations king!!!!) my video shoot is coming...... and me and omega have kinda started the promega album. That won't take long to finish we both love each others tunes.

But what you will see next is more than likely gonna be the video. If all things go down the way they should which i pray they do you should be seeing that soon.

it's been a while since i actually spoke to you. I respect your patience. let me catch you up.

For starters, this is probably the first time i've sat still since i got back from my trip. I'll give you the basics.

Before i left i did 2 things. 1st was the Haz solo and Lucchi project, and the 2nd was the one you haven't heard yet. The Piss About. As i have said before The Piss About is a project solely produced by Omega the ending and Lucchi. You'll see it and hear it soon.

As you can see if you follow the sound cloud as well , i have taken a somewhat more electronic turn. Started to go over Dub step music, i love that music but i can't make it. i've tried but it just comes out in weird ways, so if i can't make it i'll just rip it in another way.

At the same time I'm making beats, but not mindlessly. To be honest i am on a huge slump when it comes to beats nothing is coming out (probably cause I'm writing more). But I'm still trying, I'm making for 3 people that i know right this second. It's hard to do cause the ideas aren't flowing as well as they usually do but i'm still trying and they are slowly coming along.

But the most important reason why i guess i am kinda on pause for a minute is VIDEOS! I am trying to sort out visuals for my album. It deserves it, and it is a crucial pillar that needs to be addressed. If you didn't get a chance to see what i was saying in the vocals, i want the video to show you. My main drive right now is getting that sorted out! no doubt i am on pause to sort it cause it's seriously important.

I got my friends on the case right now and going by the treatment of what i got in the mail. We will be shooting the first video this week or next week. Hopefully anyway weather permitting. It's been planned we gonna proceed with it.

I've got things to do family, and I'm feeling greater than ever to do it!!!!! I'm ready!!

Hopefully my next post should be a video. HOPEFULLY ANYWAY!!
