Most of us, from childhood on, are taught that saying yes is right and saying no is wrong. We are taught that acceding to demands allows us to avoid conflict and criticism. We are taught to please people, earn praise, and prove that we care for the important people in our lives. Yet the right to say no is indelibly intertwined with the ability to make choices. When we realize that we are limited in our options and choices by always having to say yes even when doing so is not in our interests, we are actually and effectively robbed of our ability to choose, choosing what is good for us. It is a real chalenge to learn and understand that we can and are allowed to say NO! No can be very challenging because we expect and suspect that others will reject us. How ever there is a great reward awaiting us when we learn to say NO - TRUE FREEDOM OF CHOICE.

You have to remind yourself all the time that the ability to say no is an important aspect of well-being, as it is an indication that you understand the true value of your energy, talents, and time.

There is nothing wrong with accepting or actioning the requests of others, so long as these requests are in your best interest, health and happiness. You must keep in mind that it is only when you feel and know that you have the right to say NO that you can then can say yes with utmost certainty, sincerity, and enthusiasm.

Love Others

Love can be so great! Great to give and great to recieve, but for some reason we tend to not give it to others enough. Love is amazing and should be given in abundance.

How to forgive......

In my life I have gone through periods of asking " Why?.....Why Me?.......Why This?.....Why Are These People Hurting Me So Much?...... And always walking around with resentment and almost hate towards a lot of people. A lot of these people were people I loved and love and I could not understand why they would want to hurt me. I could not understand or wanted to understand that I should just forgive and forget so that my life could go on. So that I could live in the moment and enjoy everyday instead of living everyday in the past.

Forgiveness did not come easy to me and I thought that I had to cling on to all the pain and hurt and resentment so that I can become a stronger person.

WOW...was I wrong. It was only when I realised that I had to FORGIVE and live each day in the moment that my life started going in the direction I have always wanted it to go. It was only then that I woke up every day ready for life and to live and laugh everyday.

It started with getting involved in Network Marketing and being sucked into a scam without me knowing it. You see we so often don't do our home work when it comes to working from home and then we land up being emotionally and financially hurt. Some people are even destroyed by this industry. While realizing that I had to be in a scam I then started searching for answers and as the Universe would want it to happen I came upon a group of people that not only taught me about Network Marketing but taught me about living everyday in the moment.

I learned how important personal development is and the importance of socializing and communicating with people who are like minded. To shut out all negative things by forgiving and moving on so I can be happy.

If you are like I use to be and you find it difficult to forgive I urge you to read on. A beautiful friend of mine send me this and when I read it I started crying remembering how I wasted time and energy by not forgiving, remembering how bitter I used to be and being grateful that I found Mentoring For Free when I did and plugged into their training for personal growth as well as Network Marketing. So here is something that we all should read........

How To Forgive (WOW)

One day a while back, a man, his heart heavy with grief, was walking in the woods. As he thought about his life this day, he knew many things were not right. He thought about those who had lied about him back when he had a job. His thoughts turned to those who had stolen his things and cheated him.

He remembered family that had passed on. His mind turned to the illness he had that no one could cure. His very soul was filled with anger, resentment and frustration. Standing there this day, searching for answers he could not find, knowing all else had failed him, he knelt at the base of an old oak tree to seek the one he knew would always be there. And with tears in his eyes, he prayed:

"Lord- You have done wonderful things for me in this life. You have told me to do many things for you, and I happily obeyed. Today, you have told me to forgive. I am sad, Lord, because I cannot. I don't know how.
It is not fair Lord. I didn't deserve these wrongs that were done against me and I shouldn't have to forgive. As perfect as your way is Lord, this one thing I cannot do, for I don't know how to forgive. My anger is so deep Lord, I fear I may not hear you, but I pray that you teach me to do this one thing I cannot do - Teach me To Forgive."

As he knelt there in the quiet shade of that old oak tree, he felt something fall onto his shoulder. He opened his eyes. Out of the corner of one eye, he saw something red on his shirt. He could not turn to see what it was because where the oak tree had been was a large square piece of wood in the ground. He raised his head and saw two feet held to the wood with a large spike through them.

He raised his head more, and tears came to his eyes as he saw Jesus hanging on a cross. He saw spikes in His hands, a gash in His side, a torn and battered body, deep thorns sunk into His head. Finally he saw the suffering and pain on His precious face. As their eyes met, the man's tears turned to sobbing, and Jesus began to speak.

"Have you ever told a lie?" He asked?
The man answered - "yes, Lord."
"Have you ever been given too much change and kept it?"

The man answered - " yes. Lord." And the man sobbed more and more."Have you ever taken something from work that wasn't yours?" Jesus asked?

And the man answered - "yes, Lord."

"Have you ever sworn, using my Father's name in vain? "

The man, crying now, answered - "yes, Lord."

As Jesus asked many more times, "Have you ever"? The man's cryingbecame uncontrollable, for he could only answer - "yes, Lord."

Then Jesus turned His head from one side to the other, and the man felt something fall on his other shoulder. He looked and saw that it was the blood of Jesus. When he looked back up, his eyes metthose of Jesus, and there was a look of love the man had never seen or known before. Jesus said, "I didn't deserve this either, but I forgive you."

It may be hard to see how you're going to get through something, but when you look back in life, you realize that through all bad as well as good there was a greater power part of your life guiding and helping you throuth each step forward.

Friends are like shoes.......

I read this piece on friendship and could not help to laugh a bit and also to think a bit.... I found it to be so true and wanted to share it. Friendship is so important in our lives and we need to cherish the ones that adds value to our lives! So here goes...

"I thought about friends as being shoes in my closet. Sometimes we keep certain shoes around because they are comfortable and they are with us in sickness and when we get up in the morning and go to bed at night--these are our best friends--the ones who see us as we really are. Then there are shoes that you buy to go with certain outfits--to me, these are friends that fit you at certain times of your life's journey, but the shoes go out of fashion or don't serve you well or the heel falls off so you just don't want to wear them any more and so you either relegate these shoes to the back of the shoe closet or you give them away. And then there are shoes that you have for particular occasions--like your running shoes or flip flops--these are friends who you do specific things with and who you enjoy being with.

Tonight I am going to go home and look at all my shoes. I recently jettisoned some real shoes in an effort to declutter. I still have one pair of Mom's shoes.

I've also found that friends need to be life-giving. The friends I choose to be with are the ones that want to be friends with me as much as I want to be friends with them. Friendship is two-way. It's not friendship if the "friend ship" is sailing one way! Years ago a few women that I thought were really, truly good friends just totally quit communicating with me even though I still communicated with them. I finally let go of them totally. Over a year ago, a younger woman whom I had mentored and worked with rekindled our friendship. We met monthly for breakfast. It was a few months into the rekindling that I realized she was using me to get new business contacts. When we made a date to meet at her home for dinner, with our men, she totally forgot the invitation to her home when I called to ask what I could bring to dinner. I have not spoken to her since. I realized that she didn't really want to be friends. It hurt a lot and I lost respect for her."

I will definately start looking at my friendships in a different light. We have to choose wisely, after all the saying goes..... 'we can choose our friends but not our family'.....so lets choose the ones that fit!

You have what it takes to make all your dreams come true and to live a life that most people only dream of. It starts with believe in yourself! Don't let dream stealers rob you of a life beyond any ones imagination! Just believe..............

and you'll be able to use the Law of Attraction to bring your dreams closer to you!

Can you sleep while the wind blows?

Years ago, a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast.

He constantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were reluctant to work on farms along the Atlantic. They dreaded the awful storms that raged across the Atlantic, wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops.

As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received

A steady stream of refusals.

Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached the farmer. "Are you a good farm hand?" the farmer asked him.

"Well, I can sleep when the wind blows," answered the little man.

Although puzzled by this answer, the farmer, desperate for help, Hired him. The little man worked well around the farm, busy from dawn to dusk, and the farmer felt satisfied with the man's work.

Then one night the wind howled loudly in from offshore.

Jumping out of bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed next door to the hired hand's sleeping quarters. He shook the little man and yelled, "Get up! A storm is coming! Tie things down before they blow away!"

The little man rolled over in bed and said firmly, "No sir. I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows."

Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on the spot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm.

To his amazement, he discovered that all of the haystacks had been covered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn, the chickens were in the coops, and the doors were barred. The shutters were tightly secured. Everything was tied down.

Nothing could blow away. The farmer then understood what his hired hand meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while the wind blew.

When you're prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically, you have nothing to fear. Can you sleep when the wind blows through your life?

The hired hand in the story was able to sleep because he had secured the farm against the storm.

We secure ourselves against the storms of life by surounding ourselves in the Word of God. We don't need to understand, we just need to hold His hand to have peace in the middle of storms.

A friend of mine sent this to me today, and I enjoyed it so much, that I wanted to share it here on my blog. It was just what I needed today after getting some disturbing news yesterday.

Living a life of fun

As parents and adults we so often get caught up in this world of 'grown up' business that we sometimes forget how to have pure child like fun. The kind of fun that comes from a state of pure being not the kind of fun that comes from doing a specific kind of activity or having to want to be in a specific mood for fun.... No, it is the kind of fun you see in small children who are so busy being fully present in their lives and their bodies that the glow of fun just radiates from them just because they are alive. When you look at a child and you see the delight that flashes across his/her eyes when they discover that they can catch a ball or that jumping on moms couch is soooo much fun. That look of amazement in their eyes with the weird expression on their faces when they discover that water comes out of the tap when they turn the knob.....the squeals you here when they run and jump through the water sprayer on the lawn.....watching them watch the same hat or scarf trick for the 12th time and still finding it so amazing and showing their amazement and fun by rendering the most infectious laughter where you actually can't help but chuckling along.

When we are children we experience everything with pure delight. We experience it with a mindset of living in the moment, enjoying it and finding the fun in every and each situation. You do not need to dress up and spend lots of money to have fun but somehow as adults we forget how much fun the simple things actually can be...... We need to remember and reconnect with that part of ourselves that knows how to have fun in every thing we do. We need to take ourselves back in time and remember the things we use to love when we were children. We need to find that inner child that we locked away somewhere inside and give it its voice again. Think back at the things that use to make you giggle and laugh with delight or the things that made you burst out into endless laughter where it was difficult to sit up or stand up straight because your whole body was partaking in this moment of fantastic joy and fun fulfillment. That feeling of pure fun lives in you, you just have to realize that you have to call it back into your life and then never let go of it again

When we live in the moment and for the moment pure fun happens because we are fully engaged with ourselves and our surroundings. Do you remember that natural, organic real pleasure that use to jump out from your belly engaging your whole body with enjoyment where it feels like your mouth is pulling apart at the seams and your toes want to jiggle with joy? Do you remember that warm feeling in your soul after a outbreak of laughter were you feel that you are the king of the world? That feeling of pure pleasure...... We need to understand and realize that pure fun is not just something that is given to us, it is something we allow for ourselves to experience by living in the moment. We have to find the fun in everything around us and open up this glorious thing called FUN like a child at Christmas with his/her gifts under the tree......ripping of the bows of our own mind restraints that are choking fun out of our lives and tearing apart the wrapping paper we have put around it because we can not and will not wait any longer to have it in our lives again.

Acting Aloof at times

You may feel introverted while in a crowd, which can lead you to act aloof. Even if you seem to be socializing outwardly, you could feel detached and shy inside. This can feel like a mismatch, but from this seeming contradiction can come new and interesting insights. You may be able to observe and take in what occurs on another level by being slightly removed from everyone else. You could filter your interactions by keeping all away except those energetically drawn to you. You may even discover that you can affect the energy of the space by focusing your light to bring peace to brewing conflict, comfort to sadness, or lightheartedness to misunderstanding.

If you watch closely, you may see these people associating with those who are not an energetic match and who drain their energy or create conflict.

By remaining detached, you have the chance to observe people for a time before engaging them. Even though you may not be conscious of it, you are energetically feeling them out, looking for someone with whom you can invest your energy wisely. By hanging back before entering the fray you will safe yourself from people who just want to drain you from your energy.

We all want to make friends but we have to choose wisely as there are so many people out there that will just drain you from your energy. By choosing wisely you have to choose friends with the same outlook. A mastermind group working together for the good of each member.....Now does that not sound GREAT! People that won't drain you from energy but will fill you when you are empty.....THINK ABOUT THAT!

Well, I found Mentoring for Free when I was struggling and frustrated and feeling like a total failure. Mentoring For Free gave me back the peace in my life! I got my confidence back! I got back the energy and focus and just happiness that I lost because of feeling like a looser!

No one can force you or make you understand how important it is to arm yourself with the right information before just jumping into a MLM. I can only tell you that if you truly want to succeed then you need to learn what is crucial for you to know and understand and do so you can have the success and Freedom this industry can give you and your family. This is the funny part of Network Marketing! Most people try to duplicate the one thing that is not duplicable.......THEIR SPONSOR.

Most people want to be just like their sponsor or the "guru" of their company or their idle in the industry and they invariably fail! Too much importance is being placed on wanting to be just like someone else or doing things just like someone else is doing or did it when the actuality of it all is that they should be duplicating the system.

The system never fails and that is what you should focus on and ensure that it is a REAL DUPLICABLE SYSTEM! With a REAL DUPLICABLE SYSTEM you can become a professional pointer....pointing people to where they can find all the answers and help to succeed
You can not sit for hours and hours teaching people all their is to know but if the system is set up correctly you can alleviate this problem.

A big mistake most people make in this business is getting depressed when their down line doesn't duplicate their actions to the level they expect. FREE yourself from these emotions! It is NOT your fault! You can only guide, mentor and coach people that want to learn. Through guidance and coaching and mentoring you send them to the places where they can find most of the answers......Now it is up to them to find the answers. I am not telling you to leave them in the cold. All I am saying is that you can not baby sit them and teach them everything and you most definitely can not build their business for them.

So understand clearly that - NETWORK MARKETING IS A BUSINESS BUILT ON DUPLICATION, BUT YOU ARE NOT DUPLICABLE! Ensure that you have a duplicable system where you can point people in the right direction. A system where people work together for the greater good of everyone so that all can have success. I have found such a system with all the criteria required to help you succeed in your Network Marketing business.

The Bad Economy and Home Business Opportunities

It is always a case that when the economy presents financial challenges - more people look to supplement their income by starting their own home based business! Even Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki recommend it and they particularly recommend Direct Sales MLM opportunities or Network Marketing. It cost much less to set up a home based business than a traditional business and that is why it is such a popular way to start a business. It also is a fast way to generate additional income.

Although Network Marketing is so popular very few people really know what to look out for before joining a company. People get sucked into the hype that gets created about the vast amounts of money that they will be earning. The people selling the opportunity reads from a well formulated scrip that does not give you the truth just enough information to get you jumping head first into something that is just going to take your hard earned money!

It is only once you have joined and paid your $500.00 or what ever there initial amount is that you then hear of additional costs. Some want you to have a merchant account, and then they want you to pay for a website and so on and so on........... When you sit and start adding it up, now you are paying much more than initially told. Instead of realizing that they have not been giving you the truth you just do as told because......hey......they told you that you were going to make money. Then you buy the leads they tell you to buy or the flyer's they tell you to distribute or the books for self development or....or....or....and you just keep spending money. It is only 2-4 months later after spending lots of $ that you realize that maybe......just maybe you have been sold a Dud! But you question yourself and think......."Can't be because my up line is making money"! WRONG.....experience shows that most of them proclaiming to be making $ are just faking it until they make it because that is what their up line is doing. You see, when people are struggling, there are others who will prey on the desperate situations caused by the economy and what you think is going to create the additional income is actually what is going to hurt you even more financially!

More and more people are , or will be looking for ways to supplement their income. Looking for a home business opportunity. Cheap gas is a thing of the past, unemployment is increasing, mortgage foreclosures are sky rocketing and people need extra cash.

This is the time to educate yourself to ensure that you understand all the elements in Network Marketing so that you can have the success you deserve. You need to be able to understand compensation plans! This is so crucial for you to achieve success. You need to have a duplicatable system that all your down line can plug into. You need to be part of a 5 pillar company.......I can't stress this enough......YOU NEED TO BE PART OF A 5 PILLAR COMPANY! You don't want to be part of a company that wants you to have a merchant account! You don't want to be part of a company that wants you to buy leads! I can carry on and on of what you need and what you don't need to succeed in Network Marketing.

SO......moral of the story.....EDUCATE YOURSELF!

How and where can you do that?
Well you need to find a group of people that will do this for you without any agenda and without you having to pay a cent for it. I REPEAT MYSELF.........PEOPLE WITHOUT AN AGENDA AND WHERE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY A CENT TO GET THE EDUCATION!
