Lcouleur qui va faire vibrer notre dressing hivernal c'est L'ORANGE
Depuis l'achat de mes Prada je craque pour la couleur orange que je trouve idéale pour cet hiver.
Je viens donc de craquer pour CE pantalon évasé taille haute en laine DRIES VAN NOTEN
Entre le rouge et le jaune l'orange c'est tout d'abord le fruit qui a donné son nom à la couleur.
Je trouve que cette coloration chaude réchauffe les grands froids, "vitaminise" notre look, donne de l'énergie et offre un peu de soleil.
J'vous jure ça marche !

What I really need right now ?

We always say that the little black dress is essential in a good wardrobe
but 2012 will maybe be the reign of Little White Dress.

I have some white shirts but never think about buying a white dress, maybe after all this weddings and parade of white dresses I have been inspired by romanticism.

But as the white dress is still assimilated to wedding we need a twist and this cotton poplin shirt dress by Simone Rocha for Topshop is the perfect choice.

Im just back home from the Versace X H&M private press shopping.
I finally got the bomber, the shirt but not the skirt in real she wasn't looking that good ! I took a scarf instead.
The party was nice THE MISSHAPES were spinning, I had the chance to hang out in the VIP section along side celebrities like Kiddy Smile, Melle Agnes, Pauline Lefevre, William Carminolla, Emma De Caunes drinking premium champagne "Veuve Clicquot" .

CULTURAL SATURDAY IN LONDON

Today I attend Postmodernism: Style and Subversion 1970 – 1990, my intentions were to know more about this movement cause i didn't know a shit and was really intrigued by the poster featuring Grace Jones in a maternity dress designed by Jean-Paul Goude and Antonio Lopez.
The exhibition shows how postmodernism evolved in art, film, music and fashion like performance of David Byrne’s big suit or Laurie Anderson, Grace Jones and New Order's music videos .
The exhibition is divided in three chronological parts to make you understand postmodernism's different aspects.
I didn't like / didn't understand the first gallery focused largely on architecture except the Ron Arad, Concrete Stereo, 1983 that I found fantastic !!!!
The second part of the exhibition that I enjoyed, was devoted to music, fashion and club culture with Grace Jones & Klaus Nomi played with gender, brash colour, satured pattern and expressive form . This part was completed with audio and visual installations : stage costume worn by Annie Lennox, costume worn by Joanna Cassidy in BLADE RUNNER movie, extract from David Byrne's documentary Stop Making Sense (1984), turntables used by hip-hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash and dance costumes of choreographer Karole Armitage.
The final section explores the theme of money as a source of endless fascination for artists.

Artists from this movement were collected and distressed materials to create an esthetic from urban apocalypse, make an unusual collision between past culture and capitalism and transform object into relic. Interdisciplinary collaboration was an important aspect of postmodernism .

STRONG COLOUR, WILD PRINT AND GLAMOROUS ATTITUDE
Versace’s collection for H&M is full of the pieces that have made THE legendary of the house.
Archives from the 90's, iconic dresses, strong pieces with colours, prints and cuts, leather jacket with gold studs and zips and velvet bombers.
Im not totally in love but I think that one this items have a place in my wardrobe.
UPDATE :
I won't take the shoes but those shirts instead :-)

KOLUMBA MUSEUM AT KOLN

The second art museum in Cologne that I had the chance & time to visit.
It's one of the oldest museums in the city, the collection includes paintings, installations and religious icons. I wish I could write in words the exact feeling that I had during the visit of Kolumba but I was more moved by the museum by himself that by the art inside.
The only thing I didn't like it's that all pieces of art are displayed without caption and in no particular chronological or stylistic order.

Finally went to the supermarket today ! I need to save money so I've decided that I will start cooking for my last days in Koln.
I made a stop to the bookstore and bought Alexander Mc Queen "SAVAGE BEAUTY". The book examines MCQUEEN career from the start to the triumphs features his most iconic designs and an interview by Tim Blanks of Sarah Burton illustrated by quotes from the designer and I've been SOLD OUT twice so I think this is the last edition.
Back at my hotel, I had some tea and watch AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, Im addicted to that show, LOL ! Then I finally decided to watch DRIVE.
It's been months that I wanna see this movie way before he came out and was hoping to see it in a theater, today I was tired of waiting !
This film is the best of this entire year, for those who don't know, DRIVE is a crime drama directed by Nicolas Winding Refn starring Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan with specials appearances of Ron Perlman (that i really love) and Christina Hendricks about a Hollywood stunt who during the night working as a driver. I was blow minded by so much influences+references :
Michael Mann x James Gray x Sofia Coppola's aesthetic poetography, lighting, slow motion and MUSIC.
DRIVE is tough and stylish, Gosling is an anti-hero, a BATMAN, a dark knight who drives around the country to save people.
Instead of a cape he's wearing a satin jacket with a golden scorpion printed on it . As a Scorpio, I've always talked about the fable of "THE SCORPIO AND THE FROG" DRIVE illustrate this fable perfectly : "behaviour is irrepressible no matter what you do and what the consequences".
GOSLING shows the dark that arise even when we try the hardest to be out of trouble.
His character have that sort of moral ambiguity that all heroes own, they making choices and assume the responsibility that follow.
GOSLING don't even have a name in this movie, fight dirty, shoot first, have his own sense of justice and his laconism make him mysteriously sexy.
I have to say that Mr Gosling, you are too good in choosing movies and characters, after the notable performance you give us in BLUE VALENTINE I have to stand up and applaud you're definitely the actor to follow.
Last but not least, Cliff Martinez composed this FABULOUS 80ish,electronic-pop soundtrack, "Under Your Spell" by Desire and "A Real Hero" by College feat Electric Youth are one of my favorites songs.GO WATCH IT , IT WORTH IT !

DAY 3 KOLN, GERMANY

I spent my 3rd day in getting lost in the city, I love to do that even in Paris Im doing that kind of stuff on well let's turn left and right
and see what we found.
First I made a stop at WEEKDAY to check out their collaboration with BRUNO PIETERS, I found the collection super great with innovative lines PIETERS signature style. Clothes were sophisticated but I found the price range a little bit expensive yeah I know Im becoming a little bit picky.
The girl a Givenchy sweater and Prada brogues is saying that a wool jumper for 50 is expensive ? JA !!!!
Weekday only use BRUNO PIETERS's technique shapes and proportions but the textiles isn't really good.
I will return the tank top tomorrow cause i feel I will find something similar at H&M or COS on the other hand the skirt is a fabulous work and the textile is attractive.
Then I spent hours at TASCHEN the famous bookstore, looking for MICHAEL MANN book made a stop at SIMON UND RENOLDI a cute concept-store and ZEITGEIST COLOGNE a trendy concept store dedicated to the latest design trends accessories, music, books, jewellery, gadgets where I found ZANA BAYNE's famous harness.
I ended my day with hours at Büchermarkt on ehrenstraße, near of my hotel looking for books on fashion. I love to spend hours in bookstores it's my favorites things to do abroad but also in Paris. I was looking for contemplative books but also history of fashion specially about textiles and colors meaning. Büchermarkt bookstore is full of fashion, music, art history, cinema books the salers are so nice I will come back this week-end to finally make a decision on what books I should buy !

Taking the train tomorrow to Cologne for 12 days than will be in Paris for the week-end October 22nd & 23rd and leaving
on monday for London until November 4th. Im so excited to visit Cologne.
Located on both sides of the Rhine River the city is famous for her Art Fair, her Cathedral named DOM a Gothic church build in 1248,
and completed in 1880 and of course for her Eau de Cologne, a perfume created by Johann Farina.Cologne have also a vibrant art scenes
and museums, Im really into this LUDWIG MUSEUM supposed to have one of the biggest collection of POP ART.

ASOS CANDY DENIM

Those 2 pieces the premium silk water printed shirt and the pencil skirt in classic tartan are my last order on ASOS.
As you may know Im a fan of the UK's largest online-only fashion and beauty store but I have to admit that sometimes
quality isn't really good but Im impress to see the evolution of ASOS from something close to primark to something
close to H&M and better.
Anyway Im talking about ASOS because they're doing a special denim collection named CANDY DENIM.
Straight from a painterly palette (pistachio, lavender or pale yellow) inspired by the 90's full of beanies, hi-top trainers
teamed tone on tone with denim jackets, skinny and boyfriend jeans and high waited denim shorts.
