US star Ed McMahon is in intensive care with pneumonia at a Los Angeles hospital, his spokesman has said.

The 85-year-old, who was the long-time sidekick to US talk show host Johnny Carson, is also suffering from other medical problems, Howard Bragman said.

The star is most famous for introducing Carson on The Tonight Show with his trademark "Heeeeeere's Johnny".

McMahon made headlines last year when he defaulted on a $4.8m (£3.4m) mortgage on his six-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion.

The star blamed his financial woes on having broken his neck 18 months earlier, leaving him unable to work.

In addition to the 30 years McMahon featured on The Tonight Show, during the 80s and 90s he also hosted the popular TV talent show Star Search.

Redoubt volcano is located in Lake Clark National Park. The summit contains a 1.8 km wide crater.

Redoubt Volcano is one of five volcanoes on upper Cook Inlet, Alaska. The volcano is located 120 km southwest of Anchorage, and has been the second most active volcano on the inlet during the past 10,000 years.

The volcano has a basal diameter of 10-12 km and a volume of approximately 40 cubic kilometers. Redoubt volcano is 100-110 km above the Benioff zone and 450 km northwest of the Aleutian trench.

Why 6:18 p.m., as opposed to 6:00 or 6:30 p.m. Who knows? Apparently the Super Bowl powers-that-be have determined that it takes about 18 minutes for two teams to run out onto the field and organize on the sidelines, combined with smoke clouds and assorted other gimmicks.

Cincinnati is different, people need to be led in to the energy efficient barn like cattle. A recent question arose as to optimum temperature settings for your thermostat on WCPO Cincinnati, due to temperatures falling into the negatives.

Best Temperature for Winter

65 and 68 degrees daytime (open blinds on south side of house to allow radiant heat)

60 and 64 degrees nighttime and when you're out (close blinds and block drafts)

However, experts say do not turn your heat below 60 degrees, because your walls can get too cold, and pipes can freeze. ( this is only possible on exterior walls with pipes in them)

Is it just me or do you find it funny that they show the old dial type thermostat instead of the newer set back thermostat.

(New York City, NY 1/15/2009) A US Airways twin engine Airbus A320 has gone down in the Hudson River.

Flight 1549 had 146 people and a crew of five aboard the plane at the time of the crash.

News helicopters show the plane floating and surrounded by ferry boats.

Passengers can be seen being rescued at this time.

Rebecca Reyes a.k.a. Reby Sky: Opposing an Officer (4/1/2008)

Former Playboy model Rebecca Reyes, who is better known as Reby Sky, was arrested and charged with opposing an officer in Temple Terrace, Florida.

According to reports, Reyes was pulled over by police near her home on December 23rd because of a broken taillight. Investigators say she got out of the car and cursed them out.

“I believe her statement was ‘Get the f*** off of me. You have no reason to touch me.’,” said Officer Greg Stavanus at her trial.

It took the jury less than an hour to find Reyes guilty on Tuesday. The judge sentenced her to a year of probation and 48 hours of community service picking up trash for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
