How can I block followers of my blog?

To prevent someone from following you:

How to Change your profile on Blogger

You can share info about yourself with your readers with your Blogger or Google+ profile.

Choose your profile

You can use your Google+ profile or create a Blogger-specific profile:

In the left menu, click Settings > User settings.

What happens when you use a Google+ profile on Blogger

Switching to a Google+ profile will affect all your blogs.

I forgot my username

Go to the "Having trouble signing in?" page.
Follow the instructions. You’ll need:
- The full name on your account
- The recovery email address or recovery phone number for the account
Follow the steps to confirm it's your account.
- If you entered a recovery email address, check its inbox for an email from Google. Enter the code from the email.
- If you entered a recovery phone number, enter the code sent to that phone.

You'll see a list of usernames that match.

If you don't see your username

Try other recovery email addresses or phone numbers.
Your username might have a typo.

You don’t have a Google Account. Create an account.

I forgot my password

Go to the Account support page.
Follow the instructions. You'll be asked some questions to confirm it's your account. Answer as best you can.

I don't remember the email address I used for my blog

Go to the "Forgot your username or password?" page.

Enter the URL of your blog.

If your blog isn't in the list of deleted blogs:

Make sure you're signed in to the same Google Account that you created your blog with.
If your blog has more than one administrator, check with them to see if another administrator removed you as an admin.
Check your email to see if you got a message from support@blogger.com. If your blog was deleted by Google, the email will explain what happened.

Review a blocked blog

If your blog has been blocked by Google because it violated the Blogger Content Policy or Google's Terms of Service, you may see a warning in the "My blogs" list next to the blog title.

The section of a layout theme is made up of sections and widgets.

Sections are areas of your page, such as a sidebar, footer.
A widget is a page element such as a page, a blogroll, or anything else you can add from the “Page Elements” tab.

You can include any HTML you like around the sections in your theme.

Sections

Each section in your theme has opening and closing tags that look something like this:

tag attributes

id – (Required) A unique name, with letters and numbers only.
class – (Optional) Common class names are “navbar,” “header,” “main,” “sidebar,” and “footer.” If you change themes later, these names help Blogger determine how to transfer your content.
maxwidgets –- (Optional) The maximum number of widgets to allow in this section. If you don't specify a limit, there won't be one.
showaddelement – (Optional) Can be “yes” or “no,” with “yes” as the default. This determines whether the Page Elements tab will show the 'Add a Page Element' link in this section.
growth – (Optional) Can be 'horizontal' or 'vertical,' with 'vertical' as the default. This determines whether widgets within this section are arranged side-by-side or stacked.

A section can only contain widgets. To insert extra code within a section, split the section into two or more new sections.

Widgets

A widget is represented by a single tag, which is a placeholder to indicate how the widget should be handled in the Page Elements tab.

Some examples of widgets (one for a page header and one for a list) are:

Widget attributes

id – (Required) May contain letters and numbers only, and each widget ID in your theme should be unique. A widget's ID cannot be changed without deleting the widget and creating a new one.
type – (Required) Indicates the kind of widget.
locked – (Optional) Can be “yes” or “no,” with “no” as the default. A locked widget cannot be moved or deleted from the Page Elements tab.

title – (Optional) If no display title is specified, a default title such as “List1” will be used.
pageType – (Optional) Can be “all,” “archive,” “main,” or “item,” with “all” as the default. The widget will display only on the designated pages of your blog. (All widgets display on the Page Elements tab, regardless of their pageType.)
mobile – (Optional) Can be “yes”, ”no,” or “only” with “default” as the default. This decides if the widget will be displayed on mobile or not. Only Header, Blog, Profile, PageList, AdSense, Attribution will be displayed on mobile when the mobile attribute is “default.”

Note: In your published blog, all and tags will be replaced with

tags, which will have the specified ID. This will allow you to refer to, for example, div#header or div#myList in your CSS.

To use the template designer with the CSS of your blog’s template, there are a few guidelines to follow.

Set up the variables

In the <head> section of your code, you'll need to have a pair of <b:skin> </b:skin> tags.

The CSS style declarations will go in between those tags, along with the variable names that make your design work with the Fonts and Colors page.

There will be a list of variables here, one for each font or color that you want to be editable from the “Fonts and Colors” tab. Each variable is required to have the information shown in the example above and described here:

name – May contain letters or numbers. Each name in your template must be unique.
description – Add a description to appear in “Fonts and Colors" section.
type – "Font" or "color."
default – The default value. For colors, this should be a hexadecimal color code, for example #FF0066. For fonts, it will be a list of the form font-style font-weight font-size font-family.

Use the variables

After the variables are set up, when you want to use the value of a variable, enter $variable_name in the b:skincss.

Variable types

The template designer has editing support for a specific set of CSS variable types. To set the type of variable:

color variables will provide a color palette for selection in the template designer.
font variables will provide a font selection, with size and bold or italics options, in the template designer.

In the example above, there is a variable called bgcolor, which is set to white (#fff). In the next code, it says: background: $bgcolor. This turns the background white, and you can change it in the “Fonts and Colors” section.

Note: You don’t need to create variables for other types of CSS attributes. These can be included in the CSS just as they normally would be (as with the margin: and padding: attributes in the example above).

When you buy a domain, you can personalize your blog’s website address.

Important: If you use CAA Records on your custom domain, add a record for letsencrypt.org, or Blogger won't create or renew your SSL certificate.

Step 1: Buy a domain

See if you can buy a Google Domain or buy a domain from a non-Google provider. To buy a Google domain:

Sign in to Blogger.
Select the blog to update.
On the left, click Settings > Basic.
Under "Publishing," next to "Blog Address," click Buy a domain.
At the top, search for a domain.
Next to the domain you want, click Buy.
To finish buying your domain, follow the on-screen steps.

Step 2: Set up your domain with your blog

Connect to your Google Domain from Blogger

Sign in to Blogger.
Select the blog you want to update.
On the left, click Settings > Basic.
Under "Publishing," click +Setup a Google Domains URL for your blog.
Under "Google Domains Settings," select your subdomain and domain and click Save.

Connect to your non-Google domain from Blogger

Sign in to Blogger.
Select the blog you want to update.
On the left, click Settings > Basic.
Under "Publishing," click + Setup a Thirrd party URL for your blog.
Type the URL of the domain you've purchased.
Click Save.
You'll see an error with two CNAMEs.
- Name, Label or Host: Enter the name as the subdomain, like "blog." or "www." For destination, enter "ghs.googlehosted.com."
- Destination, Target or Points to: This is different for each person and is specific to your blog and your Google Account.
Go to the website where you bought your domain. Find the DNS (Domain Name System) in the control panel.
Under "Name, Label or Host," type the subdomain you entered in the previous step.
Under "Destination, Target or Points to," type "ghs.googlehosted.com."
Enter details for the second CNAME, which are specific to your blog and Google Account.
Wait for at least an hour for your DNS settings to activate.

Repeat steps 1 through 6. Your blogspot.com address will redirect to your custom domain. It may take to 24 hours.

Step 3 (optional): Add www. to your domain

To change your domain (example: mydomain.com) to www.mydomain.com, set up a naked redirect.

Go to your domain provider’s website.
Open your DNS settings.
Enter your domain name in the format example.com.
Add four A-records which point to Google IPs.
- 216.239.32.21
- 216.239.34.21
- 216.239.36.21
- 216.239.38.21
Sign in to Blogger.
Select the blog you want to update.
On the left, click Settings > Basic.
Under "Publishing," under "Blog Address," check Redirect [mydomain.com to www.mydomain.com].

Troubleshoot issues

If you have problems, here are some steps you can try.

You may not have to enter the two CNAMEs when setting up your domain.
Make sure the "Name, Label, or Host" CNAME is correct.
If your custom domain doesn’t work, wait before trying the steps again. If you have problems, contact your domain provider.

You can manage who can comment and what kinds of comments readers can leave on your blog posts in Blogger. You can also comment on other blogs. There is no limit to the number of comments you can have in a post.

Note: If you turned on Google+ comments, you can manage your comments directly in the post.

Set your blogger comments setting

Sign in to Blogger.
In the top left, click the Down arrow.
Select the blog to update.
In the left menu, select Settings -> Posts, comments and sharing.
Set your comment location, who can comment on your posts, and other settings:

Select Embedded, to allow you or readers to respond to other comments on the post.
In “Who Can Comment,” select User with Google Accounts to restrict anonymous commenting.
Choose how often to approve comments with "Comment Moderation."

6. Click Save settings.

You can also turn on comments settings by post in the Post Editor.

Turn on comment moderation to review comments before publishing.

Only administrators can moderate comments.

To prevent automated software from posting spam comments on your blog, you can ask visitors to enter a short code before they can post:

Delete your blog

There are two ways to delete a blog:

When you delete a blog: you have a short period of time to restore it if you change your mind.
When you permanently delete a blog: all of your blog information, posts, and pages will be deleted, and you won’t be able to restore them.

Note: You must be the administrator of a blog to delete it.

Delete a blog

In the top left, click the Down arrow.
Choose the blog you want to delete.
In the left menu, select Settings -> Other.

4. Under “Delete Blog” next to “Remove your blog,” click Delete blog.

5. Click Delete This Blog.

Delete a blog permanently

To delete it permanently, follow the steps above, then:

In the top left, click the Down arrow .
Under Deleted blogs,click the blog you want to permanently delete.
In the window that opens, click Permanently delete.

Note: After a blog is permanently deleted, the blog’s URL cannot be used again.

Restore a deleted blog

You can restore your blog for a short period after deleting it if you haven’t deleted it permanently:

In the top left, click the Down Arrow .
Under Deleted blogs,click the blog you want to restore.
Click Undelete.

You can control who can edit your blog, and who can read it.

Let others edit your blog

Sign in to blogger
In the top left, click the Down arrow
Select the blog to update.
In the left menu, click Settings Basic.
Under "Permissions," find "Blog Authors" and click Add authors.
Enter the email address of the person you want to add.
Click Invite authors.

After they accept the invitation, they'll be listed as an author. You can add up to 100 total members (authors, administrators, or readers) to your blog.

Note: To manage and post to blogs, invited authors or administrators will need a Google Account.

Choose who can see your blog

By default, your blog is public, and can be read by anyone on the web. To change who can see your blog:

Sign in to Blogger.
In the top left, click the Down arrow
Select the blog to update.
In the left menu, click Settings Basic.
Under "Permissions," find "Blog Readers" and click Edit.
Select Public, Private - Only blog authors, or Private - Only these readers.

What is Alt text?

The Alt text stands for Alternative text. If you are using the Internet then you might have been familiar with this 'Alt' tag. The Alt tag is used to provide an Alternative text for an Image. You must have noticed this on the Internet that, when the image is unable to load, a text comes on that place and that text is what is known as Alt text or Alternative text.

Its benefit can be seen on the webpage when the image is not loaded for any reason(such as slow internet connectivity, or image source not found) and instead of the image, this text(Alt text) appears which tells the user about the image.

This also helps in Google search and plays a vital role in SEO.

So, we have known about Alt text. Now, let us read further to know about Image title.

What is Image title?

Image title is not a difficult thing. As per the name suggests, it is the title given to any image. Google also searches the image with the help of image title. So, it also helps in SEO.

Where to place Alt text?

Open your Blog. Open the post on which you want to work.
Upload the image on Blogger.
Click on the required image to Select it.
Now, you will see some options will appear above your image as seen in this picture.

A menu will open up on a new window.
