Countdown Timer for Shutdown Computer Automatically

Countdown timer for shutdown computer:

Many a times people like to sleep on music, but the problem is that the comp will continue running the whole night. Here is how you can create a countdown timer to shutdown your comp in your specified time.Go to run in start menu and input this command :-

shutdown -s -t 3600

This will create a countdown timer which will go off in 3600 seconds (1 Hour). you can replace the 3600 to any time limit you want the comp to shutdown ,but remember the time should always be expressed in seconds i.e if u want the comp to shutdown in Half an hour you have to write 1800 and so on...If you are as lazy as me and don't want to input the command each time, then create a batch file or

shortcut

Batch:
open a notepad and type

shutdown -s -t 3600

now in the files menu select "save as" and save this file as Activate.bat

Just double clicking this file will activate your timer

Shortcut:
On the desktop right click and create a new shortcut. in the location type

shutdown -s -t 3600
Give it any name like "Activate timer"
Again, double clicking this newly created shortcut will do the same.

FORCING THE SHUTDOWN:
Another operator that you can use with this command is -f . this will force a shutdown on system. Suppose you want the comp to shutdown as quickly as possible you can give command

shutdown -s -f -t 00

here we have used a -f operator and the delay is set to 0 seconds.

(as we are talking about quick shutdown, u can use command
c:windowssystem32tsshutdn.exe 00 /POWERDOWN /DELAY:00 also)

STOPPING THE TIMER:
Any time when you want to stop the running timer use a -a operator(standing for abort)

the command is

shutdown -a

You can use it in any way u prefer, like direct input in run (or command prompt) , create a .bat file

or create a shortcut on desktop

SOME OTHER OPTIONS:

shutdown -r (restarting)
shutdown -r -t 3600 (timer for restarting in 1 hour)
shutdown -r -f -t 00 (quick reboot)

IP Subnetting – The easy way

network subnetting driving you crazy ? Does binary math gives you headaches ? well..fear not, since the time i have delved into networks, i have gone through all the oohs and aaahs and the NAH’s of the logical crescendo , and I present you the easiest way to do subnetting. Generally,3 questions are being addressed when subnetting an IP:

No of subnets
No of valid hosts and
Host range/block size

We will tackle them one by one. First you need to know about IP addresses and their classes.

Class A includes 0-127 where 0 and 127 are reserved, the default subnet mask for this class is /8 .

Class B includes 128-191 in their first octet, and the default subnet mask for this class is /16

Class C deals with 192-224 in their first octet and the default subnet mask for this class is /24 

Also, also, understand a simple concept, subnet masks lying between 8- 15 are A class masks, from 16- 23 are B class and 24-32 are C class masks. Furthermore, a subnet mask can be expressed as this where (N)etwork value and (H)ost values-

Class A : 255.0.0.0 = NNNNNNNN.HHHHHHHH.HHHHHHHH.HHHHHHHH
Class B : 255.255.0.0 = NNNNNNNN.NNNNNNNN.HHHHHHHH.HHHHHHHH
Class C : 255.255.0.0 = NNNNNNNN.NNNNNNNN.NNNNNNNN.HHHHHHHH
Class mask value 8 16 24 32

Now once you see it, lets tackle some real life questions. Lets find the no of subnets and valid hosts for 192.168.10.10/18

See this ? its a C class IP address having a mask of B class (as the mask lies between 16-24) now, in order to find the number of subnets, use the following formulae -

2 ^ (What mask you have been provided – default mask of the IP address given)

putting the values here..

2^(18-16) –> 2^(2) –> 4 subnets

simple : )
Now for calculating the no.of hosts, use the below formulae -

2^(32- what mask you have been provided) –2

Putting values here..

2^(32-18)-2 -> 2^(14)-2 –> 16384-2 –> 16382 hosts

now to find the block size, see the provided mask lies between which next default mask value , which in this case is 24 (as 18 is greater than 16 and less than 24) . So ..
Subtract the provided mask with the class mask value which is greater than it.

2^(Next class mask value – provided mask)

which on putting values will be

2^(24-18) –> 2^6 –> 64

So, the block size will be of 64 . So, the IP addresses will be divided into 4 subnets (which we already calculated above) above as -

192.168.0.0 - 192.168.63.255

192.168.64.0 – 192.168.127.255

192.168.128.0 - 192.168.191.255

192.168.192.0 – 192.168.255.255

1. Download & Install the “Espier Launcher” app [Website Link]

2. Click the Home button and click on the “Espier Launcher”. Also be sure to check the box next to “use by default”.

3. That’s it!

You’ll find that this app actually works fairly well in imitating the iOS user interface. In fact, Espier even functions like an iPhone–swipe left to search your phone, create folders by dragging app icons over each other, swipe up to reveal the multitasking toolbar, and view notification counts on messages and missed calls.

Here are some additional tips for navigating Espier Launcher:

* If you have an older Android phone, the interface might be a little laggy, but can be improved by tapping the menu button, Preferences, and unchecking animation effects.

How to setup an Auto-Reply for Text Messages (SMS) on Android

Tired of having to reply to Text Messages when you are driving or in a meeting? But you don’t want to be rude and ignore people who are sending you the messages? No problem! Setup your Text Messages (also known as SMS) to be on an auto-responder for those times when you can’t respond.

Example 1:
You are about to go into a meeting and it would be inappropriate to use your phone. We’ll show you how you can create an Auto-Reply to any text messages you receive in that time period while you are in the meeting. You could make it say something like “Sorry, I’m in a meeting but will text you back as soon as I get out. Thanks!”.
Example 2:
You are driving with the kids in the car and want to make sure you are focused on the road. But you want to let your friends, family, & co-workers now what your status is without having to pick up the phone when you receive text messages (SMS). You could setup the Auto-Response on your Android device to inform them of your situation, such as: “This is an auto-reply. I’m on the road with the kids, I’ll text you back as soon as it’s safe and we arrive at our destination.”
So how can you setup this auto-responder on your Android device? It’s simple and, best of all, it’s available for free on the Android Market (now known as Google Play).

Setup Instructions:

1. Go to the Android Market and search for the app “Auto SMS (Autoresponder)”. [Market Link]

2. Install the “Auto SMS” app
3. Launch the Auto SMS app and read the disclaimer
4. Click on the New Profile button on the bottom

5. Enter a name for this Profile. For this example, we will name it “Driving”. Click the OK button to continue

6. Now you have a new Profile named Driving. Click on the Driving profile and then click “Setting”
7. Select the settings you would like.

8. Click on “Reply Message” to enter the Auto Response.

9. Click on the “Options” tab at the top for additional options

10. Click the Back button on your device to return to the main screen.
11. Click on the “OFF” button on the right of the “Driving” profile to turn on the Auto-Response. You’ll notice that it is now a green “ON” button.

How to setup an ad-hoc WiFi network on your laptop for any Android phone without root

Today i will be telling you "How to setup an ad-hoc WiFi network on your laptop for any Android phone without root". After doing a good amount of research on web and lost of wifi sharing application , i found a simple way to share WIFI hotspot from your laptop as adhoc (Infrastructure mode) and use it on any Android phone without having to root and install a custom ROM that supports adhoc like Cyanogen Mod.

Usually android do not support Adhoc mode unlike iOS and Windows Phone (due to some reasons not yet known) and will require you to either root the phone and edit the build.prop file or install a custom ROM. As we know these are absolutely not for beginners. (atleast not for now. Wait for the full Custom Mod installer).

the simplest step is to create a WPA connection just using your cmd (Command prompt), which is already present in windows

1. Start >>Right click on My Computer>> Manage and Services and Application>> Services >> and turn on Internet Connection Sharing (Will be set to manual, change it to automatic)

2. Right click on the network icon on the taskbar >> open network and sharing center>>Change Adapter settings>> Find the current internet running adapter (For eg. if its the Ethernet, select the Ethernet adapter) >> properties >>sharing>> allow sharing

3. Open CMD as an administrator
4. Type in the following

- netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=testwifi key=”123456789012″
-netsh wlan start hostednetwork

-netsh wlan show hostednetwork

5.You have a working ad hoc that you can connect upto 32 devices.
Since the Network has to be started again if you have restarted your PC or have woken it up from hibernation, a little tip:

Create a folder (doesn’t really matter where, I just placed it in C), name it, say, “Wifi” or “AccessPoint” or whatever you like.
Create two text documents in there, start.txt and stop.txt. (or on.txt and off.txt, again, it doesn’t matter what you name it , its all upon your choice)
Type netsh wlan start hostednetwork into start.txt and save
Type netsh wlan stop hostednetwork into stop.txt and save
Change both file’s extension to .bat
Right click on Taskbar >>Toolbars >>New Toolbar
Browse to the folder created earlier

Although Microsoft Windows has made great improvements in reliability over the last few versions of Windows, it still cannot match the reliability of Linux.
Software	Linux has a large variety of available software programs, utilities, and games. However, Windows has a much larger selection of available software.	Because of the large amount of Microsoft Windows users, there is a much larger selection of available software programs, utilities, and games for Windows.
Software Cost	Many of the available software programs, utilities, and games available on Linux are freeware and/or open source. Even such complex programs such as Gimp, Open Office, Star office, and wine are available for free or at a low cost.	Although Windows does have software programs, utilities, and games for free, the majority of the programs will cost anywhere between $20.00 - $200.00+ US dollars per copy.
Hardware	Linux companies and hardware manufacturers have made great advancements in hardware support for Linux and today Linux will support most hardware devices. However, many companies still do not offer drivers or support for their hardware in Linux.	Because of the amount of Microsoft Windows users and the broader driver support, Windows has a much larger support for hardware devices and a good majority of hardware manufacturers will support their products in Microsoft Windows.
Security	Linux is and has always been a very secure operating system. Although it still can be attacked when compared to Windows, it much more secure.	Although Microsoft has made great improvements over the years with security on their operating system, their operating system continues to be the most vulnerable to viruses and other attacks.
Open Source	Many of the Linux variants and many Linux programs are open source and enable users to customize or modify the code however they wish to.	Microsoft Windows is not open source and the majority of Windows programs are not open source.
Support	Although it may be more difficult to find users familiar with all Linux variants, there are vast amounts of available online documentation and help, available books, and support available for Linux.	Microsoft Windows includes its own help section, has vast amount of available online documentation and help, as well as books on each of the versions of Windows.

How to prepare for the end of Windows XP

As Microsoft has been reminding its customers for many months, support for its Windows XP operating system ends on April 8. While your Windows XP computer will continue to run, Microsoft will not be providing security updates and other patches to keep the system safer from viruses and other malware attacks. The company also announced that it would not be providing an XP-compatible version of its Microsoft Security Essentials software on its site, either.

Microsoft has two suggestions for those still using Windows XP: upgrade the operating system or buy a new PC. The system requirements for Windows 8.1, the latest operating system, may be a little high for older hardware.

You need a machine with at least a 1-gigahertz processor, 1 gigabyte of memory, 16 gigabytes of hard drive space and a graphics card compatible with DirectX9 and the Windows Display Driver Model software.

Microsoft's site has a tutorial on potentially upgrading from Windows XP, including links to an upgrade assistant program that checks your current machine to see if it can run Windows 8.1. You can check to see if your older programs work on Windows 8.1 on the Compatibility Center page.

If neither of these options sounds appealing or possible, you have other choices. You can continue on with Windows XP with third-party security software, although you may find fewer sites, services and programs that continue to work with an operating system that was first released in 2001.

Although it may take some heavy lifting and expertise, some people have found extended life for old hardware by installing the open-source Linux operating system, which tends to have less-intensive system requirements than other operating systems.

മിക്കവാറും ടാഗുകള്‍ക്കും ആട്രിബ്യൂട്ട് എന്ന അംഗങ്ങള്‍ കാണും. ടാഗിന്റെ സ്വഭാവ വിശേഷങ്ങള്‍ നിയന്ത്രിയ്ക്കുന്നത് ആട്രിബ്യൂട്ടുകളാണ്. എന്ന ടാഗില്‍ ALIGN എന്നത് SPAN ടാഗിന്റെ ഒരു ആട്രിബ്യൂട്ട് ആണ്. ALIGN എന്ന ആട്രിബ്യൂട്ടിന്റെ വില(വാല്യു) ആണ് LEFT. ഈ ആട്രിബ്യൂട്ടിന്റെ വില അനുസരിച്ച് ടാഗിന്റെ സ്വഭാവം മാറുന്നു.

മിക്കവാറും എച്‌ ടീ എം എല്‍ പേജുകള്‍ക്കും ഒരു <HEAD> ഭാഗവും, ഒരു <BODY> ഭാഗവും കാണും. പേജ് കാണുമ്പോള്‍ <BODY> ടാഗിനുള്ളിലുള്ള ഭാഗമാണ് ബ്രൌസറില്‍ കാണിക്കുക എന്ന് ഒരു പൊതു തത്വമായി പറയാം. സാധാരണ <HEAD> ടാഗിനുള്ളിലുള്ള ഭാഗം പേജിനെ സംബന്ധിയ്ക്കുന്ന പൊതുവായ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന സ്ഥലമാണ്. ബ്രൌസറുകള്‍ പേജ് കാണിയ്ക്കാന്‍ ഈ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കുന്നു.

മറ്റു പേജുകളിലേയ്ക്ക് ലിങ്ക് കൊടുക്കുക, അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഒരു ഓഡിയോ/വീഡിയോ ഫയല്‍ പേജില്‍ കൊടുക്കുക തുടങ്ങിയ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ എങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യാം എന്ന് നോക്കാം. ഈ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കൊക്കെ ആവശ്യമായത് ഒരു URL (യൂണിഫോം റിസോഴ്സ് ലൊക്കേറ്റര്‍) ആണ്. മറ്റു പേജുകളിലേയ്ക്ക് ലിങ്ക് കൊടുക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ആ പേജിന്റെ URL ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കാം. ഒരു ഓഡിയോ/വീഡിയോ ഫയല്‍ പോസ്റ്റില്‍ കൊടുക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ആ ഫയല്‍ ഏതെങ്കിലും സൈറ്റില്‍ അപ്പ്‌ലോഡ് ചെയ്ത് അങ്ങനെ കിട്ടുന്ന URL ആണ് ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കേണ്ടത്. ബ്ലോഗറില്‍ വലിയ ഫയലുകള്‍ അപ്പ്‌ലോഡ് ചെയ്യാന്‍ എളുപ്പമല്ല. അതു കൊണ്ട് ഫയല്‍ അപ്പ്‌ലോഡ് അനുവദിയ്ക്കുന്ന മറ്റു സൈറ്റുകളില്‍ (ഉദാ: ഗൂഗിള്‍ പേജസ് ) അപ്പ്‌ലോഡ് ചെയ്യുക. ഇങ്ങനെ അപ്പ്‌ലോഡ് ചെയ്തു കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ ആ ഫയലിലേയ്ക്കിള്ള URL കിട്ടും. അതു ഏകദേശം ഇങ്ങനെ ആയിരിയ്ക്കും -> http://www.site.com/mode/audiofile.mp3

ടെക്‌സ്റ്റ് സംബന്ധമായ ചില നുറുങ്ങു വിദ്യകള്‍ ഈ പോസ്റ്റില്‍ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

1. ടെക്‌സ്റ്റ് പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ളതാക്കി(emphasize) കാണിക്കാനാണീ ടാഗ് ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കുന്നത്. ഒട്ടു മിക്ക ടാഗുകളെയും പോലെ ഈ ടാഗിനും രണ്ട് ഭാഗം ഉണ്ട്. എന്ന ടാഗിന്റെ ആരംഭവും പിന്നെ എന്ന അവസാനവും. പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ളതാക്കേണ്ട ടെക്‌സ്റ്റ് ഈ രണ്ടു ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ളില്‍ കൊടുത്താല്‍ മാത്രം മതി.

2. ടെക്‌സ്റ്റ് ഒന്ന് ബലം കൊടുത്ത്(?)(strong) കാണിക്കാനാണീ ടാഗ് ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കുന്നത്. ഒട്ടു മിക്ക ടാഗുകളെയും പോലെ ഈ ടാഗിനും രണ്ട് ഭാഗം ഉണ്ട്. എന്ന ടാഗിന്റെ ആരംഭവും പിന്നെ എന്ന അവസാനവും. ബലം കൊടുക്കണ്ട ടെക്‌സ്റ്റ് ഈ രണ്ടു ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ളില്‍ കൊടുത്താല്‍ മാത്രം മതി.

3. <CODE>ടെക്‌സ്റ്റ് കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ ഭാഷയിലെതു പോലെ കാണിക്കാനാണീ ടാഗ് ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കുന്നത്. ഒട്ടു മിക്ക ടാഗുകളെയും പോലെ ഈ ടാഗിനും രണ്ട് ഭാഗം ഉണ്ട്. <CODE> എന്ന ടാഗിന്റെ ആരംഭവും പിന്നെ </CODE> എന്ന അവസാനവും. കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ കോഡായി കൊടുക്കണ്ട ടെക്‌സ്റ്റ് ഈ രണ്ടു ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ളില്‍ കൊടുത്താല്‍ മാത്രം മതി.

4. അസാധാരണ ചിഹ്നങ്ങള്‍
< എന്നത് ഒരു ടാഗ് തുടങ്ങാനും > എന്നത് ടാഗ് അവസാനിപ്പിയ്ക്കാനും ഉള്ള ചിഹ്നങ്ങള്‍ ആണല്ലോ. അതു കൊണ്ട് അവ അതേ പടി നമ്മുടെ പേജില്‍ കൊടുക്കാന്‍ പറ്റില്ല. ഇനി അവ കൊടുക്കണം എന്ന് നിര്‍ബന്ധമാണെങ്കില്‍
ഇങ്ങനെ കൊടുക്കാം <. ഒരു ശൂന്യസ്ഥലം വിടണമെങ്കില്‍   എന്നു കൊടുക്കാം. കോപ്പിറൈറ്റ് ചിഹ്നം തുടങ്ങി വേറെയും ചില ചിഹ്നങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ട്. ഇങ്ങനെ ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കാവുന്ന ചിഹ്നങ്ങള്‍ താഴെ കൊടുത്തിരിയ്ക്കുന്നു.

നമ്മള്‍ മള്‍ട്ടിമീഡിയ - 1ഇല്‍ കണ്ട ലിങ്കിടുന്ന വിദ്യയേക്കുറിച്ചാണ് ഈ അദ്ധ്യായത്തില്‍ കാണാന്‍ പോകുന്നത്. ആ അദ്ധ്യായത്തില്‍ നമ്മള്‍ ഇപ്രകാരം കണ്ടു -

നമുക്ക് ഇതിനെപ്പറ്റി കുറച്ചുകൂടെ വിശദമായി പഠിക്കാം. ഇന്റര്‍‌നെറ്റില്‍ ചിതറിക്കിടക്കുന്ന പേജുകളെ അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും കൂട്ടിപ്പിടിപ്പിക്കാനാണ് നമ്മള്‍ കണ്ണി/ലിങ്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. രണ്ടു പേജുകളെ തമ്മില്‍ എങ്ങനെ ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കാം എന്ന് മുകളില്‍ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ? ഇനി ഇതിന്റെ മറ്റു ചില ഉപയോഗങ്ങള്‍ കൂടെ നമുക്കു കാണാം. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന് നമ്മള്‍ എഴുതിയ വലിയ ഒരു ലേഖനത്തിന്റെ അതേ പേജിലെ മറ്റൊരു ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് ലിങ്ക് കൊടുക്കണമെന്നു കരുതുക. ഇതെങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യാം? ഇതിനാ‍യി നമുക്ക് ആങ്കര്‍ ടാഗിലെ 'name' എന്ന ആട്രിബ്യൂട്ട് ഉപയോഗിക്കാം. അതായത്, നമ്മള്‍ ഒരു പേജിന്റെ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക ഭാഗത്തിനെ ഒരു പേരിട്ടു വിളിക്കുന്നു എന്നര്‍ത്ഥം.

ദാ തിരിച്ചെത്തിയല്ലോ?. ഇനി ഇത് എങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു എന്നു കൂടെ നോക്കാം

മുകളില്‍ ‘കണ്ണി/link‘ എന്നെഴുതിയതിനെ ചുറ്റി <a name="jumpHere">കണ്ണി/link</a> എന്ന് ഒരു ആങ്കര്‍ ടാഗ് ഇട്ടു. അവിടേക്കു ചാടിക്കാനായി നമ്മള്‍ ലിങ്കിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതിനെ “ കണ്ണി/Link എന്ന തലക്കെട്ടിലേക്കു പോകാന്‍ <a href="#jumpHere">ഇവിടെ ഞെക്കുക</a>“ എന്നും എഴുതി.

ഇതുപോലെ, “തിരികെ പോകാന്‍ <a href="#goBack">ഇവിടെ ഞെക്കുക</a>“ എന്നെഴുതിയതില്‍ ഞെക്കിയാല്‍ പേജില്‍ നമ്മള്‍ “<a name="goBack">ദാ തിരിച്ചെത്തിയല്ലോ?</a>“ എന്നെഴുതിയ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കെത്തും. ചാടിക്കാനായിടുന്ന ലിങ്കിലെ # ചേര്‍ത്തു പേരുവിളിക്കുന്നതു ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക.

ഇതേ വിദ്യയുപയോഗിച്ച് മറ്റൊരു പേജിലെ ആങ്കറിലേക്കും പോകാന്‍ സാധിയ്ക്കും. ബ്ലോഗറിലെ കമന്റിലേക്ക് നേരിട്ടുള്ള ലിങ്ക് ഇടുന്നത് ഈ വിദ്യ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ്.

ഈമെയില്‍ ലിങ്ക്
ഇനി നമുക്ക് ഒരു ലിങ്കുണ്ടാക്കി അതില്‍ യൂ ആര്‍ എല്ലിനു പകരം ഈമെയിലയക്കാനുള്ള സൌകര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതെങ്ങനെ എന്നു കാണാം. ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക: ഈമെയില്‍ അയക്കണമെങ്കില്‍ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറില്‍ ഒരു ഈമെയില്‍ ക്ലൈന്റ് (ഉദാഹരണത്തിന്‍ മൈക്രോസോഫ്റ്റ് ഔട്ട്‌ലുക്ക് അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ തണ്ടര്‍ ബേഡ്) സെറ്റപ്പ് ചെയ്തിരിക്കണം.

ഇനി അല്‍പ്പം കൂടി കൂടിയ പരിപാടി നോക്കാം. ഇതേ ഈമെയില്‍ വേറെ ഒരാള്‍ക്കു കൂടി കോപ്പി ചെയ്യണം (CC) അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ബ്ലൈന്‍ഡ് കാര്‍ബണ്‍ കോപ്പി (BCC) ചെയ്യണം എന്നു കരുതുക. എങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യാം എന്ന് താഴെ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു:

ഇതില്‍ നമ്മള്‍ ഒരു ചോദ്യചിഹ്നം ഇട്ട് അതിന്റെ പിന്നില്‍ ഒരു പരാമീറ്റര്‍ ആയി ഒരു പേര്‍-വില ജോഡിയെ (Name -Value pair) നല്‍കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തത്. ഒരു യൂ ആര്‍ എല്‍ ഇല്‍ ചോദ്യ ചിഹ്നത്തിന്റെ ശേഷം വരുന്നതിനെ ‘ക്വെറി സ്ട്രിങ്ങ്‘ എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നു. മിക്കവാറും സൈറ്റുകളില്‍ അഡ്രസ് ബാറില്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചാല്‍ നമുക്കിവന്റെ കളികള്‍ കാണാം. തത്സമയം പേജുണ്ടാക്കി കാണിക്കുന്ന പേജുകളില്‍ ആവശ്യമനുസരിച്ചു വിലകള്‍ നല്‍കാനാണ് ഈ സൂത്രം ഉപയോഗിച്കു പോരുന്നത്. ഇനി നമുക്ക് ഒന്നിലേറെ പേര്‍-വില ജോഡികളെ നല്‍കണമെങ്കില്‍ അവയെ ‘&‘ ഉപയോഗിച്ചു വേര്‍ തിരിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന്, http://www.buy.com/findMProduct.jsp?prod=TV&minVal=1000&maxVal=1500
എന്നു കണ്ടാല്‍ findMyProduct.jsp എന്ന പേജിലേക്ക് നമ്മള്‍ അതു കഴിഞ്ഞുള്ള വിലകള്‍ കൊടുത്ത്, ആ പേജില്‍ നമുക്കാവശ്യമുള്ള സാധനങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രം കാണിക്കാന്‍ പറയുകയാണ് എന്നു മനസിലാക്കാം. ആ പേജില്‍ അതു ചെയ്യാ‍നുള്ള സൂത്രം എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ടാവണം എന്നു മാത്രം. ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക: ? കഴിഞ്ഞു നമുക്ക് ഏത് വേണമെങ്കിലും & ഇല്ലാതെ നേരെ എഴുതാം. അതിനു ശേഷമുള്ളതിനു മാത്രമേ & ഇട്ടു വേര്‍തിരിക്കേണ്ടൂ.

ഇതുപയോഗിച്ച്, നമുക്ക് എങ്ങനെ ഈ ഈമെയില്‍ ലിങ്കിനെക്കൊണ്ട് കുറച്ചു കൂടി പണി എടുപ്പിക്കാം എന്നു നോക്കാം

ഇനി അടുത്ത പടിയായി നമുക്ക് ഒരു വിഷയവും കൂടി അതില്‍ ചേര്‍ക്കണമെന്നു കരുതുക. അതിന് subject എന്ന പേര്‍ ചേര്‍ത്ത് വില കൊടുത്താല്‍ മതി. നമ്മള്‍ cc, bcc എന്നിവ ഉപയോഗിച്ചതു പോലെ തന്നെ, ‘subject=വിഷയം‘ എന്ന് ഒരു ‘&‘ ഇട്ടു ചേര്‍ത്തു നോക്കൂ. ക്വെറി സ്ട്രിങ്ങില്‍ ശൂന്യസ്ഥലം അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ സ്പേസ് ഇടുന്നത് ഒരു നല്ല പ്രവണതയല്ല. അതിനു പകരമായിട്ട് വേണമെങ്കില്‍ ‘%20‘ എന്ന പ്രത്യേക സൂത്രം ഉപയോഗിക്കാം. അതായത് subject="My%20Experiments" എന്ന് എഴുതണം എന്നര്‍ത്ഥം.

ടെക്‌സ്റ്റ് ബോള്‍ഡ്(കടുപ്പത്തില്‍) ആയി കാണിക്കാനാണീ ടാഗ് ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കുന്നത്. ഒട്ടു മിക്ക ടാഗുകളെയും പോലെ ഈ ടാഗിനും രണ്ട് ഭാഗം ഉണ്ട്. എന്ന ടാഗിന്റെ ആരംഭവും പിന്നെ എന്ന അവസാനവും. കടുപ്പത്തില്‍ ആക്കേണ്ട ടെക്‌സ്റ്റ് ഈ രണ്ടു ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ളില്‍ കൊടുത്താല്‍ മാത്രം മതി.

Ever wanted to set cool videos as your computers Desktop Wallpaper, then you came to right place. Today in this post i will teach you how to set videos as your Desktop Wallpaper with a simple nice little trick and small tool or software that mostly every one has installed on their computer or laptop. This trick works on Windows Xp as well as it works on windows 7. Go through below post to learn this simple trick.

How to set video as desktop wallpaper ?

1. Open VLC Media Player. If you don't have it download it frome Here.
2. Then Go to Tools > Preference Or press CTRL + P and Selecet Video from left panel
3. Then Choose DirectX video output from output dropdown list
as shown in below image .

4. Save the changes ans restart VLC Media Player.
5. Play any video you would like to set as your desktop wallpaper.
6. Then click on Video and select DirectX Wallpaper from the dropdown list as show in below image.

7. Now Minimize vlc player and you will see your video running on your desktop as wallpaper.
8. If you want your default wallpaper back then uncheck DirectX Wallpaper from video dropdown list.

I had previously posted about Blocking And Unblocking any websites on your computer. In this tutorial i will teach you to specifically block facebook on your computer. This might be helpfull if you want to prevent students from using facebook in school and colleges or your employees in office. If you are parent and don't want you child to use facebook or any other particular site then follow simple steps given below. So lets get started.

How To Block Facebook ?

1. Go to Start > Programmes > Accesories
2. Then Right click on Notepad and Run it as administrator.
3. Now open host file by clicking on File > Open and locate to following address

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

4. Then just below # 127.0.0.1 localhost paste folowing code

# Blocking Facebook
127.0.0.1 login.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 apps.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 blog.facebook.com

5. Now save the host file and done.
6. Open any browser and try to open facebook. It won't open. If facebook opens then you might have done somthing wrong. (let me know if you face any problem)

Blocking Other Website

If you want to block website other then facebook then change facebook address with whatever website you want to block. For example: to block google paste following code below # 127.0.0.1 localhost
