It's already 76 years of Indian independence. India is one of the world's top 5 economies in terms of GDP. Interestingly it was contributing to 27% of the world's GDP pre-colonial era.

I have been following some channels/handles in the past several years. These sources helped me understand the facts and nuances, and unlearn several concepts about the history of India.

It's easier to play what-if scenarios, in the current moment about the past, however, we all know there will be more themes that will be at play than what meets the eye/ears. Hope you find these sources useful.

Back with my song reviews after a long time and this time the song is Where do you go to (my lovely)? by Peter Sarstedt. This is one of those songs which just teleport you to a different space and time, its what I call more soul stirring :) .If you are a lyrics persons skim through the lyrics below. They are such a delight.
Peter needs no introduction , he is renowned British writer and singer and this song is top of pop songs from 1969.

World - Infinite Growth with Finite Resources

How did we reach here ? probably in rush....world is moving so quick , everyone is trying to catch-up with whatever they can but no one knows where we are headed to 😊

Industrial revolution followed by 3rd wave 20th century growth focused always on growing year on year. When we take a brief pause and look back we see that in the process we have created huge imbalance between the haves and have nots. World ecology has taken a dramatic hit.

Our current actions doesn't seem rationale from a economics standpoint when we ask a simple question how do we get Infinite growth with finite resources ?

With our current approach it doesn't really work for too long. I chanced upon a brilliant perspective by Kate Raworth on how to handle the 21st century economy where the economic elements feed on each other and are renewable. A brief intro on what is Doughnut Economics. Do read her latest book "7 ways to think like a 21st century Economist".

How many of us wanna fly ? hmm....arguably all of us would want to. why not , right ?

Luckily we all realize that therz a common force connecting all animate & inanimate in this universe. Its one of the fundamental forces defined by Physics , The gravitational force.

Now that gravity of matter is understood and accepted by humanity.Humans have constantly engaged themselves in understanding the science of defying gravity by studying air.

Right from Aristotle's time there was some kind of effort to it. 19th century had great impetus for this and lo we see ourselves flying. However the quest to explore new possibilities has helped us to land in new territories.

Yay...Its "The Age of Drones" which is opening whole new possibilities.For photography enthusiasts like me it unleashes affordable aerial photography/videography. If you want to explore more into this turf below information might get you inspired and get you started :)
