Many people don’t know that you can friends in statuses using only their first name. This also works for comments and pictures as well!
1. Tag your friends as you normally would by inserting the @ symbol followed by their name and clicking on their profile on the dropdown menu as shown.

Who unfriended me on Facebook you ask? A friend of mine wanted to know the same thing, problem was, she had over 500 people on her friends list which meant she would have had to go through all of them individually, even then she would have had to remember who was all in there on the first place. Not an easy task! I am going to tell you the easiest way to find out who removed you from their friends list, but before I do, it’s worth mentioning that you should stay away from the apps on facebook that claim to notify you when someone unfriends you. They’re against Facebook’s privicy policy, so the ones that do work (if any) are quickly removed. The rest are purely there to steal your personal information and your friends list, it’s part of a “black-hat” marketing technique.

Who Unfriended Me – Step 1

If you’re not already using Google Chrome or FireFox, you should download one of them, both are today’s leading web browsers.
FireFox users will need to install and add-on called GreaseMonkey, go to step 2.
Google Chrome users like me can go to step 3.

Who Unfriended Me – Step 2

In order to use the Unfriend Finder script in Firefox, you’ll need to install GreaseMonkey which is an add-on for Firefox. You can get it from the Mozilla add-on page. Simply click the Download Now button, then Install. That’s it, GreaseMonkey is now installed.

The final step is to install the Unfriend Finder script, head over to UserScripts. Simply click the green Install button at the top right-hand corner. A box will then pop up, just click Install, that’s it. The next time you visit Facebook you’ll see a little button up top called Unfriends, as shown in the picture bellow.

Facebook is the world’s largest social networking site. It was launched in February 2004 and contrary to “The Social Network” film’s portrayal of Facebook’s origins, it was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and 3 his fellow students, Dustin Moskovitz, Chris Hughes, and Eduardo Saverin.
Facebook, or The Facebook as it was called then, was initially launched at Harvard University, but was quickly expanded to Stanford University, the Ivy League, and the Boston area, before opening the site up to the public. The founders then gradually allowed access for students at other universities, and then to high school students. Today, Facebook is available to anyone over the age of 13. However, according to ConsumersReports.org, 7.5m kids under the age of 13 currently have an account, violating the site’s usage policy.

Mark Zuckerberg developed Facemash, the predecessor to Facebook, in 2003. Facemash was similar to Hot or Not, except that instead of rating a photo in a scale of 1-10, two photos would appear next to each other and user would choose the hotter person.
To get all the pictures of everyone on campus for the website, Mark Zuckerberg hacked into Harvard’s network and copied private student images from a protected server. Facemash got 450 unique visits and an incredible 22,000 page views in the first 4 hours of going live, but Harvard shut down the site a couple of days later. Mark faced being expelled after being charged for a breach of security, violating individual privacy, and violating Copyrights. Although the charges were later dropped by the Harvard administration.
Six days after The Facebook was launched, the Winklevos twins, and a man called Divya Harendra accused Mark of tricking them into thinking that he’d help them build a similar site called HarvardConnection.com, while he stole their ideas to build The Facebook. The three of them filed a lawsuit, but ended up settling for $65 million.
In October 2007, Microsoft announced that they had bought a 1.60% share in Facebook for around $240 million, giving Facebook an implied value of about $15 billion. However, in November 2010, Facebook’s reported value was $42 billion, making it the third biggest web company after Google and Amazon. Today, Facebook is valued at an estimated $100 billion, with their IPO planned for the first quarter of 2012, making it the most valuable company in the world.
In 2011, Facebook reported that they remove around 20,000 profiles every day for a verity of reasons, including inappropriate content, spam and under-age use.

Mark Zuckerberg has 24%, Accel Partners has 10%, Sean Parker with 4%, Digital Sky Technologies with 10%, Peter Thiel with 3%, Dustin Moskovitz with 6%, Eduardo Saverin with 5%,, Greylock Partners with around 4%, Li Ka-shing with 0.75%, Microsoft with 1.3%, the Interpublic Group with less than 0.5%. A small group private individuals own less than 1% each. The remaining 30% is owned by undisclosed private investors.

Since I opened my Facebook account, I’ve had more than my fair share of spam and scam, surprisingly a lot of it has came from the advertisements. Just like every other social networking site out there, their main concern is money, as long as they’re making money they’re fine with their ads, for the most part. Obviously if you accept advertisements from everyone and anyone you’ll get spammy ads from time to time, it’s impossible for Facebook to police every ad, no matter how many resources they have. Step 1
You will need to be using either Firefox or Google Chrome as your web browser. Both are the worlds quickest and best browsers, you should be using one of them if you aren’t already. I’d recommend Chrome if you’re not a web developer.

Step 2
To remove ads from Facebook, the first thing you should do is install Adblock Plus. Adblock Plus to ad-blocking is like what Armani and Versace are to clothes. It’s the “de facto” standard when it comes to blocking advertisements. It’s worth mentioning that when you download Chrome that it comes with an extension called Adblock, make sure you download Adblock Plus for Chrome, they’re completely different. If you’re using Firefox, download Adblock Plus for Firefox.

I was looking around Facebook earlier for the first time in quite a while when I noticed that you can use shortcut keys on your keyboard to navigate through the site, so I’ve put this little list together. It’s for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer users.

- New Message

Out of all the shortcut keys, this is the only one that doesn’t work with all versions of Internet Explorer, which is fine, Internet Explorer is a piece of junk anyway. If you’re still using it, you should slap yourself now, then go download Chrome or Firefox.Jokes aside, pressing one of the following will bring up the ‘New Message’ box, like in the picture to the right.

Chrome: ALT + M
Firefox: SHIFT + ALT + M
Explorer: ALT + M + ENTER

- Search Shortcut

Using one of the following will put the cursor in the search box.

Not the most useful shortcut for Facebook, but I suppose it’s not bad for

laptop users without a mouse.

- Home Page / News Feed

I quite like this one, especially when
