Yesterday the somewhat turbulent history of Liverpool FC took yet another dramatic turn. Kenny Dalglish was given the boot after just 16 months at the helm. After not winning the FA Cup final and ending the Premier League season on a low, with 8. position, winning the Carling Cup wasn’t enough to save him the job. Now the race is on to find his successor, and a number of names have

With Kenny Dalglish’s managerial position still in the balance the Silly Season rumor mill keeps on grinding. We always want the business to be done as early as possible in the transfer window, but history tells us it can happen any time up until deadline day. Liverpool keeps on being linked with Rasmus Elm, but the transfer might not go through. Lately however, the option of

Kenny Dalglish innsists that this summers squad rebuilding is on, and that the club needs to replace Damien Comolli. The speculation to how big his transfer kitty actually is has started, but it should be at least £20m plus whatever comes in from selling players. Now Liverpool reportedly are, despite signing Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson last summer, launching a £

Swedish midfielder for summer rebuild? Dutch and Colombian strikers on the radar. I have not blogged for nearly a year, but for the coming transfer window I want to get back to the Silly Season action. Kenny Dalglish and his trusted men has had a bad league season, but might just be rescuing it by adding another cup final victory on the fifth of may. After the Director of Football,

Okey, so I've been away from the blog for quite a while. I was tired of it and there has been to much to do around the house. But for the last few days I've been eager to get back to writing about rumours and gossip from the Silly Season that has just begun. One transfer even got through the Shankly Gates before I got back to the keyboard. Today it was confirmed on Sunderlands website that the

Here is a summary of the last day's most interesting transfer rumours: Freiburg's star striker Papiss Demba Cisse admits Liverpool are a 'dream club', but he is happy at Badenova-Stadion, Sky Sports reports. The Senegal international has been linked with a move to Anfield, despite the signings of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, while Fulham and Birmingham were also reported to be considering a

Liverpool football chief Damien Comolli's position is apparently coming under intense scrutiny. The Daily Mail says, when Kenny Dalglish is confirmed as the permanent Liverpool manager, insiders are standing by for a power battle with director of football strategy Comolli. Dalglish has an old-school managerial attitude of liking to be in sole command, the paper claims. So how he copes with

Reports keeps coming that Liverpool allready have agreed the signing of Rennes winger Sylvain Marveaux on a pre-contract agreement. Marveaux has already revealed that he will depart Rennes in the summer after 10 years at the club, with many reports suggesting that he has already agreed to join Kenny Dalglish’s Liverpool revolution. Marveaux was heavily tipped for a January move and another

It has today become clear that the former owner of Liverpool, has not won the legal battle to seek damages over the sale of the Premier League team in the USA. Any claim for damages will, as it stands, still have to be carried out through the British courts system. One of the hottest January transfer targets is back on the radar.... It appears Liverpool are lining up a £10m move for Lille

As Paul Konchesky is out on loan with Nottingham Forest and Glen Johnson is playing out of position, Liverpool most likely will be looking for a new left back in the summer. Today's most mentioned transfer rumour involving Liverpool FC, is without a doubt Newcastle United defender Jose Enrique. According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool Director of Football Strategy Damien Comolli was at Ewood

In the summer it is highly likely Liverpool will look for options on the wings. Especially with Caroll's presence in the middle, and his height, the passes from the sides will be crucial. Right now the two most likely options seems to be Ashley Young on the right and Sylvain Marveaux for the left. The Aston Villa winger however has other suitors aswell. Manchester United will return for

After the draw against Wigan Kenny Dalglish blamed the internationals for his tired Liverpool. There is little doubt the club is going to reinforce it's squad in the summer, and today there is one very exciting rumour appearing. Liverpool reportedly had a bid turned down for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema late on deadline day. Despite playing regularly for Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid, Karim

A report claims Liverpool's first summer signing may already be secured... According to the FootballTransferTavern, Liverpool appear to have won the race to sign Sylvain Marveaux after Comolli reached a successful ending to talks over the weekend. The Frenchman is available on a free after his current contract is due to expire with his current club Rennes. He will become a Liverpool player

A defensive player being hotly linked with Liverpool in the January window seems to be back on the radar for a summer signing... Liverpool defender target Fábio Coentrão has had a £25 million price tag placed on his head. The Portuguese international has been heavily linked with a move away from Benfica, with Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish thought to be one of the managers interested in bringing

On the day that it emerged that former Liverpool owner Tom Hicks will go to court in a bid to lift orders preventing him from launching damages claim over Liverpool FC sale, both fresh and familiar faces are on the transfer radar. Pepe Reina today gives a hint that he could swap Liverpool for Manchester United in the future if the Reds continue to struggle. - Van der Sar will hang up his gloves in the summer so of course [United] are looking. While Kenny Dalglish is turning the ship on the pitch for Liverpool, there is continious speculations to which players that will be brought in to Anfield this summer. He admits Kenny Dalglish's transformation of their on-field fortunes is exactly what he hoped for when he chose to appoint the Scot

When the transfer window was closed Monday night, it is my impression most Liverpool supporters were quite happy, despite the fact that Torres went to Chelsea. The overall impression is that John W. Henry and NESV / FSG has clear intentions with their purchase of Liverpool, and want to invest in the team's future. And accoring to Sportsvibe Kenny Dalglish has revealed that he fully

It seems inevitable, if Chelsea do table £50m, or possibly a smaller amount with Nicolas Anelka included, Fernando Torres will go to the London club. But who will Liverpool get to replace him, in a last gasp attempt to strengthen the squad? A player that has been om the radar for some time is FC Utrechts Ricky van Wolfswinkel, and a report claims Liverpool will use some of the cash from the

Chelsea are reported to be ready for a £100m splurge on the transfer market, starting with the acquisition of Liverpool striker Fernando Torres. Duncan Oldham of KopTalk today claims to know that Torres has repeated his desire to leave Liverpool. The Fernando Torres saga continues, with new speculations coming all the time. He did not show up to this mornings first training session with the squad at Melwood, but is said to be joining his team mates later today, now being in talks with club officials. It looks more and more likely that Fernando Torres by Tuesday no longer will be a Liverpool player. His timing is terrible, but if he has desided to go, let's get the most out of it!
