Floating House

If you place a bunch of pillars to serve as a foundation, then build a floor on top of the pillars and finally remove those pillars, the floor will remain in place. Now it will be floating, however. You can add walls, a roof, doors, and windows to create a floating house. Don't forget to build a staircase so your sims can reach it.

Seeing Kane

There's a short sequence in which Kane (from the game Kane & Lynch) starts a bar fight in the Hope first take portion, in "Great Balls of Fire". Shutting off the electrical switch past the swinging double doors activates the scene. Another opportunity to see Kane comes when you revisit Hope: "Skurky's Law," in the "Hidden Cells" part. Follow the path the guard takes that leads down some stairs and you'll arrive at a vent. Follow the vent halfway to its opposite end and you'll notice the "peek" option, which allows you to watch Kane writing a letter to Jenny (like he did in Kane & Lynch).

Dom's Beard Easter Egg

There's a secret Easter egg that allows everyone to have Dom's beard! It's a bit tricky, but not impossible.

First, a new game must be started on Insane mode. At the beginning of the dream sequence, follow Anya as usual until you get to the battle at the Phoenix estate.

Once there, stick as close to Dom as possible for the duration of the battle. A sign that you're doing it correctly will be Dom saying "Yo!" to you. For the rest of the battle, Dom will be squirming around and dodging in and out of cover. try your best to stay as close to him as possible.

After the dream sequence, wait for the cinematic of the raven crashing. Once Marcus wakes up, he will now be wearing Dom's beard! Every character in the game will have it from this point on. An interesting note to this Easter egg; characters in game will be wearing the beard until you die. Once you reload from a checkpoint, the characters outside of cinematics will lose their beard. Though, once a cinematic happens the characters will have their beards back, this time in their natural hair color (Anya has a blonde beard, Marcus has a black beard etc).

Sawed Off Chicken Arcade Game

In Act 4-1, make your way through the stage until you pass both the piano drop trap and the spinning machine gun trap. Keep left and around the corner and look for a building a with a tree growing in it and red graffiti that says "No Hope No Victory No Safty [sic]." By the graffiti is a window. Look through it and you can see a helmet in the distance among the rubble. Shoot this with your pistol and an explosion nearby will reveal a door into the building. Inside is an arcade machine. You can kick this a few times using the prompt to play it!

The Giant, Fire-Breathing Golden Chicken

In Act 101, when you get to the deck area with the first COG Tag (you pass through this area twice to play the video clip), there are three large cylindrical pipes on the sides of the area. You can approach these and hit X to shout into them. Shout into all three to make a giant, fire-breathing golden chicken appear. Really.

How to Get the Cluckshot (Chicken Gun)

The Cluckshot is a special weapon that can be acquired in Act 4. There are a few easy steps to get this, but it can only be grabbed on Insane difficulty either alone or in co-op mode.

1 Start a new game in Act 4-1 and avoid all of the Ash people. 2 When you reach the tower, stop by the gated area before talking to Griffin for the first time. 3 Press X where the Chicken with the Pirate Hat is standing. 4 In Act 4-2, walk up to the car with ammo on it and watch it fall. 5 In Act 4-2, walk up to the ammo crate at the end of some railroad tracks. 6 In Act 4-3, walk up to an ammo crate on top of a box and a barrel. Press X and it should fall.

If done correctly, when the last ammo crate falls a chicken should fly up and drop off 4 "Cluckshots" for you.

Dom and Maria Photo and Audio Clip on Mercy

On Mercy, set up a game (preferably with a friend and no bots) and head to the chapel in the south. On a platform along the back wall under a stained-glass window holds a few books. The trigger for this Easter egg is the sound of bells tolling. This may happen randomly, but for the video below it happened at around the five minute mark (5:37 to be precise). A photo of [[Dominic Santiago]] and [[Maria Santiago]] will suddenly appear when the bells toll. Shoot this picture and you'll hear an audio clip of Dom crying.

Pig Roast on Gridlock

Head up the stairs in the tower area and look through the boards and chains and you'll see a fire. Shoot the Ash People in the foreground and the fire will be revealed -- it's a pig roast! Shoot the handle to rotate the spit.

Ticker Fight Hidden Cutscene

On Act 2 Chapter 4, Trench Run, when you enter the area with all of the Tickers in cages (the 'Pet Store') clear out all of the enemies and then look for a boarded up area with a Ticker painted on it by the entrance door. Near this is a yellow light. Approach it and hit X when prompted to see a hidden cutscene.

Do the same thing in 4 player co-op and the scene will be different. You will now see a few Drones standing at a conveyor belt assembly line, then something goes wrong and a Ticker explodes.

Dancing Wretch on Checkout

Here are the steps to follow on the Checkout Map to make the Dancing Wretch appear.

1) Pull the Fire Alarm (1) near Home Goods. This opens a box in the Electronics section.

2) In the Electronics section, there's an open door with rubble behind it by all the TVs. Shoot the box that is now open on the other side of the doors. This makes a Fire Extinguisher appear. Grab it. This also sets another Fire Alarm on fire in the Pharmacy.

3) In the Pharmacy area there's an exit area with large, gated doors to the outside. Extinguish the now-flaming Fire Alarm (2) here. This will trigger a Shopping Cart on the other side of the gated doors.

4) Shoot the Red Hat in the Shopping Cart. It will blow up and reappear in an upper window between the Pharmacy and Checkout areas.

5) Shoot the Red Hat in the window between the Pharmacy and Checkout areas. It will explode. This will set a car on fire near the green 'Closing Down Sale Everything Must Go' sign. Also, a scythe will appear in the hands of a mannequin to the left of the Flaming Car by the exit.

6) Extinguish the Flaming Car and the Scythe will disappear from the mannequin's hands and the exit doors will close. The Scythe is now in the bathroom.

7) Enter the bathroom and look on the ceiling for the Scythe. Shoot it and it will recede into the ceiling. Now a Flaming Microwave has ignited in the Electronics area.

8) Extinguish the Flaming Microwave in the Electronics area. This will induce a nearby explosion behind the doors where you first got the Fire Extinguisher.

9) Look through these doors to see the Dancing Wretch. Shoot it and only the hat will remain.

How to Get Cole Train's Hat

In Act1, Chapter 2, just past the checkout portion of the grocery store you'll come to the Sporting Goods section. In here is a Cole Train 'Thrashies' poster with a button that activates an audio recording. Next to this is a hat Cole can wear. A later cutscene shows him losing it.

How to Get the Secret Achievement, 'Respect the Dead'

Gears of War 3's only Secret Achievement, 'Respect the Dead' is described thusly: 'Your respect for the dead earned you access to Griffin's special weapons stash.'

To get this, don't shoot any of the ash bodies in 4-1. When you get to the stranded camp, one person will recognize your restraint and open a weapons locker.

Chapter 4 Moving Platform's Lever

In Chapter 4, you normally need to activate the moving platform to reach the teleportation portrait that goes to the boss room. This is done by flipping the lever in the long corridor that contains a Gurkha Master, a Frankenstein Creature, and a Glasya Labolas. (However, there are shortcuts around this. For example, Soma can use Yorick skulls to bypass the need for the moving platform, saving a lot of time.)

In Chapter 5, the clock hands' positions are determined by the host player's system clock, at the time when the stage starts. If the hands are angled horizontally, you can jump onto them.

Mastery Tip for One Player

You can gain mastery faster for certain special attacks by hitting Menace in Chapter 3 on hard. Equip two Mastery Rings, and buy full supplies of magic-replenishing items from the shop. Quickly hit the boss' lower body with your special attacks, and when you run out of magic, go back to the grimoire point at the starting area to refill your magic.

Mastery Tip for Multiple Players

You can gain mastery faster if you find other players in survival mode. Equip an Astral Ring (found in the later stages on hard), because it makes you use life instead of magic energy to perform special attacks. Equip a Mastery Ring, too. You get automatically revived for free in survival mode, so you can quickly hit the boss with your special attacks, kill yourself to come back with full life, and repeat.

Jumpkick off from another player who is standing on the floor to boost yourself up. Jumpkicks are performed by holding DOWN and pressing JUMP again after making a double jump. (Note: Charlotte and Yoko can't jumpkick.)

Projectiles for Charlotte

To absorb certain enemy projectiles with Charlotte, hold the Personal Skill button (creating her magic shield). If a projectile has the potential to be obtained, it will make a loud clinking sound. Successfully obtain enemy shots to gradually build up Charlotte's attack power. Here are the shots she can get:

Acidic Bubble - From the Glasya Labolas in Chapters 3 and 4.

Dark Inferno - From Dracula in Chapter 6.

Death Scythe - From Death in Chapter 5.

Delta Spark - From Ashtarte in Chapter 7 (DLC stage).

Demon Seed - From the Man-Eating Plants in Chapter 4.

Energy Flow - From the broom-riding Witches in Chapter 4.

Secret Bonus Score Items

Each chapter has a Konami easter egg item that can be collected for bonus score points:

Chapter 1 - A gold bell appears in the room with the church bells, if you slide under and then jump up inside the low middle bell.

Chapter 2 - A gold crown appears in the piano room, if you step on the keys in this following order.

Chapter 3 - Moai appears in the middle of the boss room, if you jumpkick through the vortex in the background. (Do this after the boss breaks the blocks in the way.)

Chapter 4 - Goemon appears in the right side of the stage, if you go into the dark alcove. (This is located to the right of the boss room.)

Chapter 5 - Vic Viper flies across the top of the stage, if you press UP while standing in the top right corner of the stage, just below and to the right of the blue chest nearby.

Chapter 6 - Konami Man flies across the top of the stage, if you press UP while standing on the highest ledge above the last breakable wall with the food item (near the stairs that go to the boss room).

Chapter 7 (DLC) - Vick13 appears atop the pyramid, if you jump up into the air above the top of the pyramid.

Chapter 8 (DLC) - A lucky cat appears in the top right corner of this stage, if you kneel on the floor there.

Chapter 9 (DLC) - TwinBee appears on the outer wall's ledges, if you successfully climb the outer wall path (with the swinging axes).

Chapter 10 (DLC) - A gold crown appears after the first large bat miniboss, if you destroy the breakable wall and go into the space that continues to some chests.

Chapter 11 (DLC) - A facade card appears at the top right room (just above the boss room), if you jump up into the air above the tree stump.

Bonus Bosses (The Mercenaries)

Meet certain requirements in The Mercenaries mode and you'll get to fight special bonus bosses. The requirements to trigger those enemies in each stage are as follows:

Kill 15 enemies with counters before killing 80 overall enemies - Napad (Urban Chaos)
Kill 25 enemies using a coup de grace attack before killing 80 overall enemies - Gnezdo (Steel Beast)
Kill 70 enemies within 600 seconds - Strelats (Mining the Depths)

Save Ammo on the Mine Cart (Leon's Campaign)

While playing through Leon's campaign, you'll arrive at a point in the second chapter where you must ride in a runaway mine cart while facing off against a nasty enemy. You also need to avoid striking against overhanging barriers. Your apparent job is to blast an enemy that is attached to the cart, but doing so wastes your precious ammunition because the event is actually scripted. The only way to win is to shoot TNT, which requires as little as one shot when the time comes. Therefore, the easy way to survive this segment (regardless of your difficulty setting) is to drop down so that you're lying on your back and facing the enemy that is hanging onto the front of the cart. Remain on your back so that none of the overhanging barriers hit you, then blast the TNT when necessary. That strategy makes the whole section a lot easier and conserves your ammunition.

Reload Animation Cut

As with many animations in games, Resident Evil 6 allows you to prematurely "cut" a reloading animation by quickly selecting a grenade type item (grenade, remote mine, first aid spray) and then switching back to your firearm.

As an alternative, you may also attempt to press the fire button (without aiming) to perform a gun-butt with the weapon, which also "completes" the magazine reload, but places your character in the gun butt animation. This, and other actions (taking cover, diving, etc.) may be faster or slower than weapon switching, but will depend on the situation you are in (esp. the very fluid situations in Mercenaries Mode).

This animation exploit allows you to cut down the animation cool-down periods for certain weapons (notably the grenade launcher), letting you fire the weapon a few moments earlier. This exploit does not apply to weapons with manually worked actions, such as the six-shot "Sniper Rifle", the regular shotgun, Piers' Anti-Material Rifle, etc.
