2013-09-28T21:56:00.001+01:00

Today was the fashion and beauty Autumn/Winter Season event, including a catwalk show, featuring the season's hottest trends and must have pieces. There were some stunning looks and taking a leaf from Mulberry's book, a dog even walked the catwalk! Here are some photos from the FROW :)

OOTD theatre

2013-09-04T23:20:00.001+01:00

This is my outfit for the theatre tonight...thought I would go for something simple and understated.

What are your thoughts?

Awards?! Wow!!

2012-12-02T22:01:00.002+00:00

I have not been blogging for long, so I was not expecting an award, let alone two!!

Thank you so much Shan Purdy (http://www.elstylediaries.blogspot.co.uk/) for the Liebster and Versatile Blogger Awards.

There are a few rules I have to follow for each of the awards, so I've included the answers and tasks for both sets of rules in this post :)

11 Things about Me:

I'm a first year law student
I love drama and performing arts
I have blonde curly hair
I'm 19
I have an adorable kitten
I have named my car
I play violin
I sing all the time
I can name all the 50 states (but am not American) haha
I hate the cold
My favourite book is The Great Gatsby

My answers to Shan's Questions:

Favourite item of clothing: Really don't think I can pick one thing! Probably at the minute, my new brown leather riding boots
Whose wardrobe would you chose: Hmm this is a really tough one...Olivia Palermo maybe
Books or films: Books
Earliest memory: Tadpoles in my nursery school haha!
What meal would I have right now: right now, probably just coffee, I am such a coffee drinker
Night in or out with the girls: now, in cause I'm pretty tired
How I want my future to look: I'm not 100% sure- want to have done well in my degree, happy, love my job and still fashion obsessed lol!
Heels or flats: BOTH!!
Beautiful man with no money or ugly man with money: whichever I love <3
Reasons for starting a blog: excuse to talk about fashion even more
My blog in 1 sentence: my musings and thoughts on all things fashion

My questions for the nominees:

How long have you been blogging?
How would you describe your personal style?
Bags or Shoes?
What is your biggest fashion mishap?
Dressed up or down?
What is your favourite colour?
What item could you not live without?
What is your dream fashion purchase?
What is your favourite beauty/make-up range?
Who is your fashion icon?
Best piece of fashion advice?

So the 15 blogs I would like to nominate for the VBA are:

Cham at chamtanteras
Amanda at chicnrock
Olivia Nicholls-Bates at watercolourdreams
Shafira at serafina
Ami from thepre-trender
Angela at to infinityandbeyond
Ionna at fashionwandering
The Law Fashionista at thelawfashionista
Ana at myfashiontale
Lucas at littlefashionbird
Zoe at thefashionsnapshots

I get to nominate 15 for the Liebster Award, so the additional 4 I am nominating for the Liebster are:

Laura at lovelyprettyworld
Olivia at gonewiththefashion
Anna at thisisayes
Elena at fashioninmylens

Thank-you to all my readers and everyone who supports me!!

Fashion and Beauty Buys this Week (30 June- 8 July)

2012-07-08T16:47:00.002+01:00

<><>

in orange

I have had a bumper week of reatil therapy! I was at juntion 1 on Wednesday, where I bought 2 summer dresses, wedges and Bobbi Brown cosmetics. On Thursday I was helping a friend buy birthday presents and I was in town again on Friday, when I bought a shirt, blazer and necklace from Urban Outfitters :)

Has anyone else been shopping this week? Did you get anything nice?

Fashion according to my dad

2012-07-02T11:01:00.000+01:00

Louboutins: why not just buy normal shoes and paint the soles red?
Dip hem skirts: did whoever hemmed this have a few glasses of wine at lunch?
Pastels: I love pastilles, especially Rowntree's!
Sheer: It's not for me...
Floral print: They're good if you're trying to hide in the park in summer!
Flatforms: Where's the rest of the shoe?
Fringed hem: Is your hem down? Does it need restitched?
Keep an eye out for more nuggets of fashion wisdom!

Why did we EVER think it was stylish to...??

2012-07-01T22:11:00.001+01:00

We all have a few fashion mishaps in our past, some questionable style choices we'd rather forget. But now that we're older and so much wiser, we can look back at that and laugh...can't we?

Trousers under a skirt. And unfortunately, I don't mean tunics over cropped trousers as seen during Paris Fashion week in shows such as Prada's. I used to do this if I couldn't decide which to wear! *cringe*
Shorts with over the knee rainbow striped socks...why??
A t-shirt over a long sleeved top. That was an odd 90's method of layering
Crimped hair- it just seems strange now
Inflatible rucksacks; what was the point of these??

*shudders*
