Tubbing

On Tuesday 2nd August,
The group decided to head for the high sea's, Well Kinghorn Loch to do some tubbing.

Once they were all kitted out it was on to the giant rubber tubes and getting pulled through the water by a speed boat.

Great Fun!!!!!!!

Beach Party

On Wednesday 29th June the group headed down to Silver Sands in Aberdour to have a beach party.

There were several bases on offer.
Frisbie Golf.
Paracute games
Extreme rounders to say but a few.

There was of course the traditional BBQ for everyone to enjoy.

Construction night

With the weather turning bad the evening had to be moved indoors.
The theme for the night was construction.

We had a large building set in which two groups of young adults had to try and build a car in which they could race round the building.

Results were....... to say the least intresting.

AGM and Party Night

As per most AGM the offical stuff was boring but essential.
We had decided to have a party night afterwards to make the evening more enjoyable.

There were games which included using a paracute.
Afterwards everyone let their hair down to a disco.

Surprise Night

On the 30th March the group arrived at the office not knowing what was in store for them during the evening.

The night was full of Fun and games with some odd costumes put on show.

The evening finshed off with people bring fed by others who could not see what they were doing.
It turned out to very funny

Bag Packing

On the 20th Feb Asda in Dalgety Bay were kind enough to let us go and bag pack for a few hours to raise some funds.

The money raised will help run some of the group activities and also to help keep the group running for some time.

Snowy Weather

The weather was not very nice with all the snow and ice
But It did not stop some of the young adults going out to do some sledging

Jamming Night

On the 24th November we met up to make some music.
Some of the young adults brought along the musical instruments while others tried their had at Singing the night away.

Award Winners

On the 24th November members of the committee attended an awards night to celebrate Fife's volunteer sector.

Fairway was up for two awards.

They were up for the Social Inclusion award and also the Team of the year award.

In team sector there were 26 entries and the competition was really tough.
In the Social Inclusion sector there were 16 entries and Fairway Fife came out as the sectors winners.

Congratulations to all involved.

Halloween Party

The dark nights are drawing in.
Lots of witches and warlocks come out at this time of year.
Yes it is the Halloween season.
We had our party on Wednesday 27th Oct at the local scout hall.
Everyone had made an effort to get dressed up in Fancy Dress.
We had a Disco party and everyone got in the swing.
After this we played Mummies which turned out really well with some getting wrapped up more than others.

We stopped for refreshments then it was time to do the traditional Halloween
Item (Dunking for Apples)
Once most people had tried doing it,

It was back to the music and dancing the night away.
Then came the witching hour and all the witches and warlocks head off home (At least for another Year)

Peer Mentors Training

Over the 18th and 19th October 6 Peer Mentors went to the 4 Arts centre to do some basic peer mentoring training.

On Day 1 they learnt about the following

What's important to peer mentors.
The Mentoring programme
The cycle of Learning Role of a peer mentor
Judgements.

On day 2 they had sessions on

Confidentiality
Adolescence
The Children's Charter
Boundaries and Expectations
Active Listening

At the end of the training they were all presented with a certificate to mark the end of the training.

Deer Stalking

On the 12th October

Some of the group headed up to do some Deer Stalking just outside Crieff.

With Beautiful scenery and expert guides we set our sights on trying to spot the deer.

Lochore Meadows

We try and get the group out and about as much as possible during the light summer months.
So August is no exception.
This time it was up to Lochore Meadows on the 25th Aug.

We were there to do some Canoeing and Cycling.

Once everyone had a talk of what was going on and got into the correct clothes it was on our bikes or on to the water.

Beach Party

On Wednesday 28th July,
With the sun Shinning it was a perfect chance to get out and about.
The group went down to Silver Sands to have a night of Fun.

They took part in Paracute Games and also Rounders.

They also had a picnic on the edge of the beach.

Crazy Golf

On Wednesday 30th June the group went up to Adventure Park in Duloch Leisure park to try their hand at crazy Golf.

The course has 2 18 hole crazy golf courses.

The group had a great time trying to get a hole in one!!

Fordell Residential

Over the weekend 25th - 27th June the group went to Fordell Firs(Just outside Dunfermline).
They were having a residential weekend.

They had the oppertunity to try out new activities and skills, But also to bond together as a team.
The activities they had the oppertunity to do were as follows.

Grass Sledging
Team Building
Sling Shots
Space hoopers
Archery
Sumo Suits.

On the Saturday the group went a walk along part of the coastal path and stopped to do some team building activities at Silver Sands in Aberdour.

Fife Animal Park

Over two days the group visited Fife Animal Farm situated just outside Collessie in Fife.

The group had loads to do from seeing the animals up close to just hanging out and having some fun.

Situated in the beautiful Fife countryside with excellent parking, Fife Animal Park is one of the best value for money days out in Scotland!

Since opening in 2007, the Park has gone from strength to strength and now includes a wide range of exciting animals, attractions and visitor experiences.

Cupar's Gala day

Cupar Gala Day which was held on Saturday 5th June is a fun day out for all the family with shows, stalls and entertainment for all.
Cupar Children's Gala is a firm fixture in the local calendar and each year the Committee endeavours to bring something new and exciting to the event.
This year, a number of individuals and groupl from across Fife take part in music and dance events as well as other cultural traditions.
The group had a stall to raise money for future events

Training Day

The peer mentors attend training sessions.
These sessions can range from First aid to how do work with the young adults

Lochore Meadows

With the weather getting better and the lighter nights,
The group decided to head up to Lochore Meadows to do some Canoeing and biking.

With the good weather they managed to cycle round the loch as well as canoe across to the island in the middle.

John Muir Award

With the importance of conservation in the country now,
the group set about doing some beach combing which will go towards the John Muir Award.

They are hoping that what they do will play a small part in making the countryside a better place to visit.

Pampering night

Who Said that Girls get all the fun pampering themselves.
Well the boys decided that it was time to get into the act.
They learnt what is good for their skin.

Also they learnt how to keep fit with some easy exercise.

Deep sea World

In march 2010 the group went to Deep Sea World in North Queensferry.
They got to Experiance what it is to live under the sea when they went on the tunnel walk.

Some even had the chance to see some animals close up.
