This is really cool. Check out this site and the photos from the early 1900's, when Cocoa Beach was first incorporated until now. I've been here since I was born in 69' and my parents since the early 60's. Gone through a few changes. I remember bowling at the bBeach Bowl. It was still around when we were in high school, now its a lovely Beach wave that sells .50 bodyboards and .99 beach towels and I think you get a free hermit crab with a purchase of anything.

A good friend was cleaning some flounder so I thought I'd blog it.

This part of Spring Break is what we hate. We don't need more laws but need to enforce what we have in place. I'm sure this is many places. We truly love our town in CB and are trying from letting it become another tourist altered place in Florida even we do love having visitors enjoy our town.

Check this video from Sunday. Thanks to The Surfrider Foundation in CB and many local people like myself who care, we cleaned it up, also Richard, the can man, comes daily and collects all the can's on the beach, even when CB PD tows his car when cleaning cans up on our beach. Sounds backwords right?

Laws designed for the beach to be cleaned, I bet not one ticket has been given to anyone, ok, maybe one years ago.

Coconuts and Beach Shack in CB last Sunday had to be the dirtiest beach at the end of the day, due to the non beach living Assholes that left all their trash on the beach after having their fun. We organized a local group together along with Bruce who runs the Central Florida Surfrider Foundation and stayed until 10 at night to clean up all of the crap they left, So did Richard the can man.

Still haven't dealt with my cord situation which means no shuttle launch pics from today, I have some cool stuff I can post. Just got Brad and the guys in Aus some tickets to Iron maiden. They are playing in Brisbane on the 26th. Just a day. Started a crazy workout with my lady. Ill show you some before pictures. I've got 60 days to show my 24 pack which I would almost be emberassed to have as a man and most likely will never. One question, why is Jersey Shore living in and promoting the most promiscuous stuff that MTV has ads preventing? This show is so popular. Such a rediculous display of what ever these juice heads are thinking is the way you behave at the beach. Yo by the way, back in the day was not last week. This has gotten out of control. It's also kind of humorous. SS Babbling, tired.

For now I'll just put up a couple shots of Skippy and I and go buy some connection cords tomorrow. I looked every where for the cords. Just going to watch the office. I'll get some cool stuff up from our weekend in the morn hopefully. I also ran into the Thunderbirds that flew over the race at Five Guys Hamburgers after the race. I was stoked they recognized me, I recognized them first since they were wearing thunderbird attire, and they told me the Slater Brothers boards I made for them are in their Museum. I feel very honored. Here's a picture front and back of the boards and the first pic is the one we all signed. Really cool. My wife and in the backround, well this is why we people watch at the Shack, I hope this spring break all the jackasses that think theres a cleanup crew get the picture we are not dealing with it anymore. Hopefully the local cops will enforce our laws that are in place and we won't have to. Clean up your crap people no matter where you are.

6th Street, a little champaign. city is one of the last frontiers that you can still have the freedom of having a drink on the beach, fish a little with a beer and your family, unfortunately theres no law about moving into the city and theres a few outsiders that moved in and think we should be like other cities. I say just move there. Had a great day. After 42 years I don't see the problem. The problem is the people who are trying to move into a town from for instance, middle America, no offense, and think they know better like we have know idea about the rest of the world. We have a pretty nice City, lets just watch out for each other. No More rules or laws, geez.

Don't mess with us we are going to throw our stomachs on you and drown everyone. This is the reason I'm going to start the PX-90 deal on Monday after the 500 tomorrow morn. I did have a great surf with Bagel, Pelican Surfboards.

My great friend, avid, climber and adventure man Blair Falahey climbed Mount Everest and brought these pieces of rock from the summit that he sent to me. Blairs triumph to the top of everest was hardfought, many lost lives. I value these good luck charmes and do believe they carry quite a bit of majik. I'll post again how to check out Blairs story online so you can see the battle to Summit and how long it took. the emotional drive that is pushing these guys to the top of these peaks is unimaginable. He sent me a message one time while camping on the side of a vertical wall, How the hell can you sleep hanging and emailing.

Volcom made a shirt in the early 90's with this picture on it by the Rolling Stones with a stone on the tongue. I know exciting, but it gets better below, to me it does.

Yesterday there was a whale off the beach in CB, we hardly ever see whales, almost never. Tries to get a shot since it jumped once. Maybe today i'll get a chance, going fishing off the beach regardless after a surf at 6th street.Click some of the stuff on this page and check out whats happening elsewhere. Daytona 500 only two days away.

I know it's not surfing but it still a watersport.

Bruce Muller has been a long time good friend of mine, fellow pro person and Cocoa Beach human earthling. He directed this video and I like it, Check it out. I've seen Bruce levitate when no one is around, it's really neat, he denies it ever happening.

Matty Liu has been a great friend since my first time in Hawaii 28 years ago. Before smart phones and email, we actaully, Kelly, Matty, and I use to writeletters back and forth to keep in touch. Matty works with Primo beer in hawaii and still spends most of his time surfing and just being a great guy and surfer. He's a one of a kind. SS

Me a while ago with a poisonous green mambo that we caught in G-Land.

Broke my boards in G-Land, drinking a beer under water with friends who most likely also partake in the beer thing.

My first hard surfboard, you might have seen Kelly's shark board, I got this at the same time he received his jaws board.. I was am still proud, Oh so is my wife and mother. Funny.

Spent the day in St Augustine, ate at the Cracker Barrel, amazing Southern cooking, went to visit Tory Strange at the Surf Station Surf Shop, more surfboards in stock then any shop I've ever seen. Walked around town and visited 3 of the over 700 resturaunts in town, post some more mumbo jumbo later and some other shops we were so lucky to have visited as well as new friends we met.

I was at this Surf Expo in 1978, check out Corky on the left. Rodney Mullen did a skate demo, and Galagher did stand up comedy on stage, Mark Lake skated the half pipe outside the Melbourne convention center.
