Roger Federer has won his record equalling 7th Wimbledon title and dug himself even deeper to be caught by any other tennis athlete with 17 grand slam titles.

Federer who outclassed defending champion Novak Djokovic in semi final goes all the way against Britain dreams and aspirations.

This win has made Federer once again a most favourite player to win a gold at Olympics just days away to be played at the same court.

World No 3 Roger Federer will meet American John Isner in ATP Indian Wells Final. Isner ousted World No 1 Novak Djokovic in three set semi final and will try to win his first ATP title against Federer in Sundays final.

Roger Federer defeated his arch rival Rafael Nadal in straight sets to book a place in the final. It would be interesting to see how Isner handles Federer pressure and keep American hopes alive of first American to win the title after Andre Agassi in 2001.

For Tennis fans there may not be more charm than watching Federer-Nadal rivalry. The pair has dominated the scene since the 2005 and the last battle was just few month ago in Roland Garros

final.

But many fans ask the question is Federer-Nadal rivalry over for all times to come? Well, the answer is big ’NO’. Many Tennis pundits have predicted even before the start of 2011 season that Federer may not be able to qualify for more Grand slam finals but against all odds he did not only qualified for the Roland Garros final but also gave a tough fight to Nadal before ousting the Novak Djokovic who only lost once in four Grand Slams.

Federer has more Grand Slams in history than anyone else and this sole factor makes him a special individual even now when he is into his 30s.

Federer still has the ability to win Grand slams in 2012 although he hasn’t won single in 2011 but he will be fresh and mentally stronger in 2012 against all odds. Though Federer didn’t win US Open but he produced a great Semi final against Novak Djokovic.

Federer has repeatedly said that he wants to win a single Olympic gold title which he hasn’t won yet. It will be interesting to see whether he accomplishes this feat or not in London Olympics 2012.

World No 1 Novak Djokovic defeated the defending champion and World No 2 Rafaeal Nadal in a four set match that was virtually one sided.

Djokovic with this win accomplished his sixth consecutive win over Nadal in this year and five of them in finals. It was a great year for Djokovic and perhaps never to repeat again in coming years.

It was disappointing to see Nadal being bullied in such a manner by Djokovic whom he defeated just last year in the same final.

Nadal must be thinking of himself being turned into Federer by Djokovic but he would be disappointed he is being cut to size so early in his career just at age of 25.

World No 1 Novak Djokovic will meet World No 2 Rafael Nadal in US Men s 2011 US Open final on Monday.

Nadal who ousted British No 1 Andy Murray in four sets will play the re match of this year Wimbledon Final in which Djokovic defeated Nadal.

Meanwhile Djokovic ended the hopes of former World no 1 Roger Federer of winnning the only grand slam in 2011 in five enthralling sets. Federer isnt out of grand slams yet as he has played some of his best tennis in this match.

World No 3 Roger Federer and World No 2 Rafael nadal is likely to meet in yet another Grand Slam Final of US OPen 2011.

Federer would have to clinch the challenge of top seed Novak Djokovic in Semi Final if he is going to play Nadal in the Final.

Federer who defeated Djokovic this year in French Open semi final is still favourite to defeat Djokovic and meet Nadal in the FInal.

If the Duo managed to meet in the final it will be the second occassion this year of their meeting in the Grand Slam final.

Surely there are sensational matches coming up in next three days in the last Grand Slam of the year taking place in Flushing Meadows, New York.

Roger Federer will take on Juan Martin Delpotro of Argentina in the first round of Cincinnati Open in a repeat of US open final 2009 in which Delpo out classed Federer in five long sets.

Though nothing can be said keeping the Federer form he would surely be eyeing Cincinnati title to keep hopes alive for another US open title.

Federer who hasn't won a slam since Feb 2010 is eyeing his 17th Grand slam title.

World No 2 Novak Djokovic has dethroned the World No 1 Novak Djokovic to win his first Wimbledon title. Nadal who has now lost five finals from Djokovic has supressed for the very first time at a grand slam final by 24 years old serb.

We are witnessing yet another rivalry at the very top level of international sport after Federer-Nadal that lasted almost a decade.

Nadal who has won two Wimbledon titles failed to show any sign of his game unless the third set which he won 6-1 but sucumbed to 6-4 in the very next and final set.

This has been a great year for Djokovic so far and he is on road to win U.S Open if he continues t play like this.

World No 1 Rafael Nadal will meet his new rival Novak Djokovic in Sunday's Wimbledon 2011 final.

As expected the clash of th two top seeds can produce a new Wimbledon champion against the Federer prediction.

Djokovic who has beaten Nadal more than twice in ATP events final this year has only been beaten once in 2011 and that at the hands of Roger Federer in Roland Garros semi final last month.

If Nadal is going to win he would have to take the match to five sets that is the only way he can otherwise his chance in very grim in Sunday's final.

Regardless of the Sunday's final result, Djokovic would claim the No 1 rankings any way for the very first ttime in a decade after Federer and Nadal decade long top posts.

World No.1 Rafael Nadal has defeated World No 3 Roger Federer in the ATP Miami Semi Final by 6-3, 6-2.
It was first meeting of Federer vs Rafa in US in six years. Nadal has extended the lead over Federer with this win to 15-8.
This ordinary performance has raised serious questions about Federer performance in coming French Open which he has won in 2009 but lost in quarter finals last year to R.Soderling.

Roger Federer a legendary tennis player who holds the record for 16 Grand slam title record has moved to World No.3 first time ever since his reign in 2003.

Serbian N.Djokovic has replaced Federer at No.2 ranking who defeated both Federer and Nadal at Indian Wells.

This has been a great year for Serbian young star and it will be great to see if he carries on this performance at Wimbledon and French open.

Federer chances to regain World No 1 crown are not diminished totally but any thing can be expected from Federer and it will be great to see him at the top once again.

Pakistan Aisam-ul-Haq and Indian Rohan Bopanna led double team has forced its way into semi finals at BNP Paribas open in Indian wells.

Aisam and Bopanna defeated the top Serbian pair Novak Djokovic and Victor Troicki 6-1,7-6.

The Serbs made a stiff resistance in the second set though unable to win it and ended up losing the match in straight sets.

Sixteen time Grand slam champion Roger Federer is facing his tough days as he is still fit and ready to carry on might of young players Nadal, Djokovic and Murray and best thing is he is not afraid of these at all.

But the bigger question is whether Federer will be able to win another Grand Slam ?

Its a million dollar question as younger players are making great improvements in their game and with Federer age it is not easy to match the form of 22 and 23 olds.

But Federer is a unique species of players who can do any thing only with his will power and he has proved it time and again in his career.

Coming French open will be his real test at Clay and it will be interesting to see what form he carries with him at French open playing at Madrid open and other ATP tournaments before the French Open.

Federer-Nadal Rivalry has entertained the world sport lovers for almost 5 years now and the best thing is that it still goes on as ever before. No wonder Federer-Nadal rivalry is termed as best of all time worlds have seen so far in living history of sports.

After Sampras Aggasi era (1990s), world was waiting for a new champion who could surpass all the records of Sampras world had seen. It took four years i.e. (1999-2003) of waiting before we could see a true champion in 2003 Wimbledon Final.

Though Federer made his mark much earlier as a future Power in tennis by defeating seven time Wimbledon champion Pete Sampras in 2001 Wimbledon fourth round but it took him two more years to win his first Wimbledon title in 2003.

Federer-Nadal two opposites in Tennis, Nadal specializing in Clay court tennis and Federer a hard court and Grass court Specialist have shown the world true spirit of Individual sports since last five years.

Who could forget classic 2008 Wimbledon final when Federer made a historic come back after loosing first two sets and despite repetitive breaks due to rain and bad light match eventually ended in first Wimbledon win for Nadal in five sets (last set going to 9-7) lasting four hours and forty eight minutes, making it the longest ever Wimbledon final played in living history.

Another memorable match of Federer-Nadal rivalry and again “Final” of Australian Open 2009, when Nadal reduced Federer to tears after 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (3), 3-6, 6-2 defeat which lasted four hours and twenty three minutes.

Though Federer-Nadal haven’t met in grand slams in 2010 but only meeting in ATP Madrid final resulted in win for Nadal, But its not over yet we still have year ending ATP Would tour finals starting from Nov,21in London and a charity match is to be played on Dec,22 between Federer and Nadal in Madrid. So we can say it is not over yet.

Roger Federer Was World No .1 at the end of 2009 but after winning first Grand slam of the year Australian Open he is unable to reach any of the Grand Slam final which gave a true look at his performance and at age of 28 how tough grand slams can be.

Once dethroned from World No 1 crown he was quick to get back as a king of Tennis but he is facing same situation again but with lot less chances to get back at the top again.

Next year he will be 29 and things will start to bounce as what i did last year and this year i am one year old than previous year . Thats a big downfall a player have with going up the years.

So, what should we expect next year ?Will Federer be back at top at Wimbledon next year or we are going to see another three slam year for R.Nadal that takes her grand slam tally to 12 at age 24.

Federer has said he wants to win 20 slams but this statement seems very much out of question now as he just been able to win only one in 2010.

This has made Federer two ahead of all time winner list of American Pete Sampras and he can easily touch 20 grand slam if he continues to play in his style for another year and a half.

If 21st century has seen very best in its very first decade it is none other than Roger Federer.

With records 15 Grand slam titles in his career Roger Federer is still world no 1 Player and continues to be only dominant force in men's tennis.

The elegance ,stamina and fitness makes Federer an ultimate champion that has achieved greater heights and continues to do so.

After the weepy start of 2009 with five set loss to then World No 1 and arch rival Rafael Nadal , Federer enabled not only finish the year as World no 1 but also achieved record 15 grand slam title ,won French Open for the first time ,regained Wimbledon Title and had twin girls.

Federer called 2009 best year. He would have never imagined this when he was weeping on stage after Australian open Final loss to N but it simply goes to show how much colors a year have for you.

Tennis masters believe 2010 will be a tough year for Federer as new players are getting better and specially after the rise of Del Potro there are more than one rivals for federer .

Murray, Nadal, Djokovic and Delpotro are making life difficult for Federer to stay at the top ,he is 28 now but will he be no.1 at 29 ,its the Million Dollar question.

Federer started U.S Open as hot favourite and in fact only favourite to win U.S open title like five previous years but it wasn't to be, he fell just short from making history in open era by winning 6th consecutive title win.

After regaining the World No1 spot ,Federer was a threat to all those who thought he is gone now but he has proved he is still in it and he will continue to win as long as he continues playing.

Though there are no more targets left for Federer to achieve in terms of Number of grand slams but he can still reach 20 grand slams if he continues to play till 2012 as he has often said.
