My Beauty Regime with Jergens Natural Glow

As the seasons change to spring and summer, my beauty habits tend to have some elements that change. I gravitate towards more warm colors, fruity scents, and bold pieces.

I also make sure my nails, especially my feet, are nicely painted and are a pretty color. With the warmer and more humid weather, the oil absorbing pads are a necessity for me. I also tend to use more powder based makeup for this same reason. I feel like I need more chapstick in the summer months because of the sun.

Hair Removal By Nair: Get Smooth For Summer {Review}

We all know that men have it easier than woman. I do not need to tell you that! Just one reason is that they do not have to deal with removing unwanted hair. We keep getting tricked with cold days again, but I promise spring is here and summer will be before we know it. So this means it is time to really make sure we have smooth, hair free skin {and be envious of the men}.

Are you familiar with Nair? If you aren’t, Nair makes creams that you rub on your skin which removes that annoying hair. I am very familiar with Nair and have I think 3 bottles in the bathroom. Nair has created two new products which I had not tried until recently. These products are part of the Brazilian Spa Clay line.

I tried the Nair Brazilian Spay Clay Total Care Body Trio on my legs. This is the only 3 step in shower depilatory system. This retails for $13.99, but I have seen it sold for less than this where I live.

I like that the directions are spelled completely out on the back of the packaging. It makes it easier to see what you have to do before you buy, and then you do not have to mess with that thin flimsy paper companies normally like to print directions on when you are using the product.

Step 1: Use the pre-use wipes on areas where hair is to be removed.

Step 2: Use the spatula applicator that is provided to apply a thick, even layer of cream. Then wait 1 minute.

Step 3: Start taking your shower while the cream works its magic. Cream can come off in as little as 3 minutes but do not exceed 10 minutes.

Step 4: Remove the cream and hair with a damp washcloth.

Step 5: Apply moisture gel onto skin after you dried off.

Here is the things I liked about this product

-JUST HOW SMOOTH MY LEGS ARE AFTER USING IT!

-This takes very little time as I can start my shower while the cream is working.
-The product did a great job of removing my leg hair
-Great for those persistent hairs and the ones in hard to reach places

-The moisture cream really soothed my skin

-Nair provides a large amount of cream compared to the price you would pay

- JUST HOW SMOOTH MY LEGS ARE! (for emphasis this time)

Then some of my not so favorite things

-You are only given 2 pretreatment wipes, when you will get way more than 2 uses from the cream

-It does have the usual Nair smell

I had great results with this and will continue to use it. As I said before, I am already a Nair user but am very impressed with this product. It did a fabulous job of removing my hair and I felt like it did a great job at soothing my skin. I think this would be great for any woman, especially if you have never tried Nair before. I think you will be amazed just how well it removes the hair and how simple the process is.

The other product, which I have not tried yet, is the Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Total Care Face Trio. This retails for the same price as the other product and has up to 16 uses.

Step 1: The first step is the pre-balm, which coats the skin to help minimize irritation and redness.

Step 2: The second step is the depilatory. There’s no drying time so you can apply the depilatory immediately after using the pre-balm.

Step 3: After removing the depilatory product, apply the moisturizer, which is similar to a typical facial moisturizer. This will help neutralize the pH of the skin, bringing it back to the normal level.

Protein Bars & Protein Shakes from Premier Protein {Review & Giveaway}

When I make time to work out, it is always bright and early in the morning at 5 am. I know if I do not fit it in then, I will not make it to the gym for one reason or another. To me a drawback is that I am absolutely starving on my drive back home from the gym. Sometimes my stomach will hurt pretty bad until I am able to eat something to satisfy it. My favorite thing is to whip up 4 egg whites with a small dash of shredded cheese. This keeps me completely full until my midmorning snack which typically consists of some type of fruit.

Now all of that is the ideal situation. Typically I am rushing out the door and have a hard enough time throwing together some snacks and a lunch, yet alone creating a warm breakfast on top of that. So another very quick and easy way I have been getting my protein is by using Pemier Protein shakes and bars.

Vanilla Shakes are my favorite out of shakes and bars. So when I looked at the label here are the things that really jumped out at me

-Only 160 calories

-Only 3 grams of fat

-2 grams of dietary fiber (really surprising!)

-1 gram of sugar (really really surprising!!)

-30 grams of protein

-15% of your daily sodium (every product has some drawback, right?)

-A bunch of different vitamins and minerals

So overall I was very impressed with the amount of calories, fat, fiber, and sugar. Also, the amount of protein is very high which kept me full for a very long time and helped with my muscle repair.

So taste is just important, if not more, than the nutrition information. I had the drink cold, which is how I like my shakes, and I thought it tasted really good! It is a lighter shake so it was very smooth and easy to swallow. I also felt like I there was a substantial amount of shake to drink, so I really felt like I got my calories worth! The shake was enjoyable and is one that I would have again.

I also tried several of their protein bars as well. Let me just say that I am a shake girl and would pick a shake any day over a bar, but I specifically wanted to give their Chocolate Mint bar a chance. Here is a quick snapshot of the important nutrition information:

-190 calories

-6 grams of fat

-7 grams of sugar but 8 gram sugar alcohol

-7 grams of fiber (impressive!)

-15 grams of protein

So you can see the nutrition information on the shake versus the bar does vary. The bar was a crispier one and was a very good size for a bar. It was pretty chocolatey and I could almost pretend it was a Thin Mint cookie. I love shakes and like bars, but this bar did taste good and satisfied any chocolate craving I had.

I really like that these options are great for on the go. They do taste good and I did not experience that all to familiar “ugh, I am not eating or drink that darn shake or bar again”. I would buy Premier Protein products as they tasted great, kept me full, and I felt good about feeding my body with it.

Color Your Spring Up With Jergens Natural Glow

It is finally time to put away those big, baggy winter clothes and bring out those strappy shirts and patterned skirts. In preparation for the warm weather, I have been using Jergens Natural Glow 3 Days to Glow. If you remember I recently posted a video explaining that I was going to be trying 3 new sunless tanning products from Jergens.

For the past few days, I have been using their 3 Days to Glow tanner. I was most excited to use try this one of the three because I have used a similar product made by Jergens before these new products. selfless tanning smell. I loved the old version, so I wanted to see how this compared.

It goes on just like my favorite lotion does. It rubs in very nicely and I am dry almost immediately. One of the main features of this product is that signature self tanner scent is gone. I have to say that it really is true. There is a slight scent upon application; it is like a soft, refreshing scent, nothing like that self tanner smell. Then after a minute I no longer even notice the scent anymore. This is the first product I have tried that does not have the scent, so I am very happy.

I applied the lotion at night and woke up to noticeably darker skin. My skin was far from orange; it was a healthy, warm color. The tan was even even and had no signs of streaks. My color didn’t scream “self tanner user over here”, I mean it didn’t even whisper it. The color looks completely natural. It really is the color I strive to achieve during the summer minus all the time spent under the sun, damaging my skin with the rays.

I am so happy with the results. I am going to continue using this product and will try out the other two products over the coming month. Be sure to watch for that post.

Recap of the Oscars Skinnygirl Cocktails Party

Remember I recently posted about the Oscar party I was going to be having courtesy of Skinnygirl Cocktails? Ahem, of course you do! Since the Oscars have already aired, it is time to recap the fun filled night!

No formal celeb worthy event is without a backdrop to take pictures. So of course we had a Skinnygirl backdrop in the living room. We pieced the backdrop together and placed it on the wall. It was fun and girly. If I must say so myself, it looks very star worthy.

We then had to prepare the kitchen for the event. Here we had the nice selection of 7 different Skinnygirl Cocktails which included vodka, margarita, and wine.

The winners of these 3 categories would be the lucky ones to take home these bottles. Then the other bottles were enjoyed throughout the night. But sshh, that part was still a secret to them. The categories were for the best tan, guessing the most correct nominees, and just an overall just because winner.

Next up was goodie bags. Every big event is filled with grab bags for the celebs, so this awesome Oscar’s party contained a wine sweater and a cute Skinnygirl bottle stopper.

This was one of my favorite parts of the party. We had ballots, so we could all vote on each category as to who we though would win. I did not come in first, but I definitely did not come in last place.

The crowd favorite drink was The Showstopper. The fruity drink contained tangerine, lime, lemon, and orange flavors so this was the perfect combination. It was also nice to indulge in such a drink that had such few calories.

We also had our own mini award show, including best heels and mani. Let me tell you, I knew I would not be in the running for best mani!

Of course we had a few things to snack on like puppy chow. This is something that I find to be kind of a pain to make, but I love it so much. Plus I never have it so I thought, what the heck, let's make it! Except for the few pieces that didn't get coated, it was a great batch.

Then we had the healthy veggie tray as well.

Every lady deserves their own special glass, so here is mine. The bottom of the glass, the blackpart, is actually a chalkboard type material but of course I could not find the piece of chalk that came with the cup!

Overall we had such a great time, and thanks to Skinnygirl Cocktails, my party was red carpet worthy. This was the best Oscar’s party I could have imagined! Next year's party will be very hard to beat.

When I finally arrive at my home at the end of the day, the first thing I do is put on my pj pants. I love being able to finally put on comfy clothes and be able to relax for the rest of the night. Dearfoams has feminine and cute womens pjs that I thought were worth checking out.

This is the Sherpa Lined Robe. It has a pretty girly pattern that reminds me of a mix between flowers and leaves. This is a shorter, fleece robe that has a hood on the back. The robe is long sleeve and even contains a loop for hanging up. This would be the perfect thing to wear after a bath or after you wake up in the morning.

The second option is the Sweetheart V Sleep Shirt. This nightshirt is 60% cotton and 40% polyester. There is no tag for the ultimate comfort. It is long sleeved and has a wide band scoop neck. I really like the pretty bow pattern. This is also on sale right now for $20.40.

Motorola S11-Flex HD Wireless Stereo Headphones Review

If you had to guess, do you think more Americans say it is tougher to keep a resolution to exercise more or to eat better? Well Motorola Mobility recently conducted a study and found that 65% say keeping an exercise resolution is harder. The majority agreed that the lack of motivation is the biggest obstacle to achieving their fitness goals. So to keep your motivation level up and to change things up a simple thing like using a new pair of headphones can make all the difference.

My current phone, and even the one before that, is Motorola. I am a big Motorola fan, so I when I heard about their S11-Flex HD Headphones I knew they were definitely worth trying. The first thing that surprised me is that there is no cord. Yes, that is right they are wireless. This was a whole new concept to me. One of my biggest complaints with headphones is the cord when I am on a cardio machine or out running The cord is either moving too much that it pulls the bud out of my ear, in a tangled mess, or just plain in my way.

This pair of headphones fixes this problem by allowing me to connect my phone with my headphones. I have a Motorola phone, but any phone, device, tablet, or laptop will work as long as it has Bluetooth. The process to connect the device could not have been easier. I turned on my Bluetooth on my phone and turned on the headphones. My phone instantly picked up my headphones, so I was ready to start listening.

The headphones fit perfectly on my head and ears when I slid them on. They stayed on during my entire workout which was so nice not having to readjust them every few minutes like my other pair of headphones. The music quality is wonderful and my music really sounds great as well.

There are many things I like about the S11-Flex HD headphones:

I do not have to carry my phone with me to hear music. The first thing that I loved is that I can walk around the house with my headphones in while my phone sits in one room. As long as my phone and headphones can “talk” to each other, the music plays perfectly. I can walk throughout my whole house and have no problems with signal.

No interruptions. As they are wireless headphones, I was slightly worried about the connection. All hesitations were quickly dispelled as I have had no problem with the headphones, not even a single one, and I have used these for at least 10+ hours already.

Rapid recharge. No pesky batteries here as the headphones charges with the wall charger that is included. Plus 1 hour of power only needs 5 minutes of charge time so it takes no time at all to charge the headphones.

Easy volume control. The volume buttons are on the headphones near the right ear which makes changing the volume level very easy.

Noise cancellation. These headphones do a great job at cancelling out the surrounding noise, so I only hear my music.

Design. As I wear these while working out I do get pretty sweaty. Lucky for me these are sweat proof with hydrophobic mesh and silicone seals.

Phone calls. If you get a call, you can answer it and have a conversation with these headphones. The headphones have two mics for great calling quality.

Adjustable. Between the fact that the outer and inner band is adjustable rotating stems, and the different ear cushions, you can have the best experience.

Durable: With its material and design I know these are a very durable pair of headphones.

· Mid-Workout Moans: 19% of Americans who exercise say a workout has been ruined by forgetting a water bottle and 39% by uncomfortable shoes. And remember when your size-too-big-socks scrunched under your heel? 22% said uncomfortable workout clothes have ended motivation at the gym.

I really recommend these headphones and think they are worth every penny. Not having to mess with the cord is wonderful. Plus the design seems to be centered around the needs of exerciser so they have all the basis covered. They are also great for cleaning around the house. Thoughts On Toddlers & Tiaras

I am a big reality junky. I have a list of shows I have to catch up on every weekend. Toddlers & Tiaras does not make the list, but I have seen it in the past. It was hard for me not to watch it when it first aired as it was filled with glitz and glam, and let’s face it controversy. I had to see the show that was frequently in the media. When I finally did watch it, I could not believe how intense the competition is between these little girls.

I always have been well aware of beauty pageants for older women, think Miss America, but I guess I never really thought that little girls compete in the competitions as well. So when I did watch a couple of episodes of Toddlers & Tiaras I was absolutely stunned by the transformations the girls when through. Without all the makeup and pretty clothes, the girls look like your normal everyday child, but that all changes when they have their hair and makeup done. The girls really look like mini dolls.

A large part of the competition is wearing the girls pageant dresses. As the little girls on the show will tell you, you cannot wear a dress twice. So it seems like the girls are always searching for the most elegant and fabulous dress. I can honestly say that the girl’s dresses are nicer than any dress that I have ever owned. They are absolutely stunning like the ones pictures above. I am still in awe at just how fancy the dresses are for these little girls!

Why You Should Own a Floppy Beach Hat

When I think of warm summer days out by the pool or at the beach, something that comes to mind is the fun summer hats women wear. I have tried them on many times at the store, but have never seem to buy one for some reason. I really am not sure why I have never bought a hat before. I love them on other ladies, so I think floppy beach hats is going on my list of things to buy when the temperatures warm up.

Here are some things that I really like about these kinds of hats:

-They go with so many different kinds of outfits. You could pair them with a swimsuit/cover up, a bohemian outfit, or bright maxi dress.

- You can hide your face from the sun. We all know how bad the sun is for your skin, so try to protect it anyway you can.

-Not having the best hair day? Greasy roots? Just let your hair hang down or try a low ponytail with the hat and no one will have any clue.

-This makes a statement. Nothing stands out more in a good way than a big, fun hat.

It wasn’t until this past December that I tried popping corn for the very first time. I was instantly hooked after that. I eat it about once a week, because I love how tasty it is while having very few calories. When it came to buying popcorn kernels, I really thought they were all the same. We Are Having an Oscars Award Party With Skinnygirl Cocktails!

We love watching the awards shows. It is so fun to see all the big celebrities dressed up and see who takes home the awards. Especially when there is a contender I want to win, it is so easy to get swept into the fun and excitement of the awards shows. New Year/New You With Jockey Active Wear {Review}

I have two pretty big gripes when it comes to sports bras and workout pants. With sports bras, I cannot stand how they make smaller chested women look completely flat chested. Then with workout pants, I love to wear capri length ones, but I feel like I end up looking I am really wearing high water long pants. I had pretty much accepted my fate with these two items. However, I recently tried two items from Jockey and have been showed there are solutions to these problems!

I have never seen a sports bra like the Vavavoom Sports Bra before. This sports bra completely changes the way I view sports bras and what I expect from them. I typically expect them to keep everything tight and basically make you look like a flat chested boy. This sports bra could not be farther from the average with removable pushup cups and a clasp in the back. This sports bra has wide straps and a racerback design.

When I put the bra on, I noted before I even clasped it that the sports bra was already nice and snug. I was worried that it would feel loose, like a normal bra, because of the clasp it has. However when with the clasp is fastened, the sports bra ended up feeling like your average sports bra. It was snug, comfortable, and I experienced no discomfort.

I think I am up to 3 workouts in this sports bra, along with 3 washings, and have had great success. I did not notice the extra padding or clasp when I was working out. I like the material the sports bra is made of because I felt like it did a great job at wicking the sweat away. The best part about this sports bra is that I have worn tighter tees to the gym, as opposed to my usual bigger, looser t-shirts, and feel confident with a little extra help up top. After experiencing this wonderful sports bra, I cannot imagine ever buying those sports bras that make you look extremely flat chested.

I also tried out the Jockey Stretch Judo Legging. Let me start off by saying that I am shorter, 5”3, and have slightly bigger hips and thighs. So my biggest frustration with bottoms is that they are always too long! I love wearing capris to workout in, but not when it looks like they are long pants that shrunk up to my ankles. It ends up looking like I am preparing for a flood! So with these Jockey leggings, I was already sold when I saw they were the perfect length, stopping right below my knees.

These pants stop right below my knees, which I love. You actually can tell that these are capris on me. These pants have the word “legging” in them because they are tighter all around. However, they are made with thin, airy material and have the perfect amount of tightness. I can move easily around while still being comfortable. I have worn these to a workout class and on the treadmill and l love how they move with me and are so comfortable. These also look very slimming on me and keep my lower body cool during workouts.

These two items from Jockey have really impressed me. I love cloth pants to wear to the gym, and the Stetch Judo Legging is perfect with the shorter length, lighter material and the comfort factor. The Vavavoom Sports Bra may at first look uncomfortable, but it does a fabulous job at keeping everything snug, being beyond comfortable, and making me look like a girl in the upper body region. Besides these great features, these items are very adorable. If you like to workout or are just in need of some flattering, comfortable clothing, I highly recommend checking these two items out!
