2009 has not been a very good time for me so far. I have been sick for 6 weeks lol...I started with a cold (one of the kids brought it home from school). It turned into sinusitis and acute bronchitis. I coughed more then, than I have in my life! I ended up with pneumonia and breaking a rib. Ouchhh!!!! I am finally over my illnesses , but my rib still has 2-4 more weeks before it is healed. I am not sure if any of you have had the same experience , but they were not able to wrap my rib due to the pneumonia. I have to be really careful or it feels like it is popping out of place. In the meantime it feels like my house looks like a tornado blew threw and my work is way behind.... It has been a very trying time.

I want to thank all of you who have sent words of kindness,encouragement and prayers! It has really lifted my spirits. Your the best!!!

First off I want to say that I have decided to integrate my personal blog with my professional blog.So I will be adding all kinds of stuff in here along with my professional postings.

I am a WAHM of 4 children and one step child and half of our income comes from me. So this year we have had much less income than previous years. I am pretty sure it is because of the economy. I am trying to take a positive approach to the lack of money and we (my children and I) made our garland for the very first time this year! I wanted to make the garland with popcorn and cranberries, but I couldn't get out of the driveway today due to an ice storm. So it had to just be popcorn. I popped the popcorn and got some string and a needle and we started stringing. It was fairly difficult at first. ( If you don't do it just right the popcorn breaks). It took a few hours and there was quite a mess on the floor, but it was fun and it looks festive. I think it was worth it and after our tree comes down we can string it on a tree outside and give a gift to our lil' birdie friends!
