And since  WordPress is becoming more popular than ever, it will only be at its  best when raised in the proper conditions. Here are a few things to try  if you find that your WordPress site is not performing as well as it  could be due to high traffic or hidden issues you don’t know about.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;span id=&quot;more-9726&quot;&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h3 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;Some Basic &amp;amp; Simple Steps&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;1. Upgrade to latest WordPress release&lt;/h4&gt;WordPress 2.7 have manny performance improvements over previous versions. So you better &lt;a href=&quot;http://wordpress.org/download/&quot;&gt;upgrade &lt;/a&gt;to latest release to make use of this.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;2. Remove unnecessary Plugins &amp;amp; upgrade current ones&lt;/h4&gt;Remove any plugins that you aren’t using. Deactivate them and  physically delete them from your web server. Deactivated plugins will  affect the speed of a site because the WordPress checks to see if they  are activated or not. Also you must stay up to date with the latest  versions of the plugins you are currently using. Developers release new  versions because they’ve modified the code in some way to make the  plugin work better.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;3. Minimize PHP and database queries&lt;/h4&gt;I read about this great tip on &lt;a href=&quot;http://wpcandy.com/articles/tutorials/4-simple-ways-to-speed-up-wordpress.html&quot;&gt;Wpcandy’s simple ways to speed up WordPress&lt;/a&gt;  post. It makes a lot of sense, cutting down on PHP and database  queries. Each time a page on your site loads, if your browser has to  execute any PHP queries, it adds to the load time. If you replace the  PHP queries with static HTML, every time a page loads, your browser just  reads the HTML.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;4. Optimize and Repair your Database from myPhpAdmin&lt;/h4&gt;Every week or so you should login to your myPhpAdmin and optimize  your db. Locate your WordPress DatabaseTables, check all the tables in  the Check Boxes, select the Optimise Tables Option and repair. You would  be surprised how well this trick might work, it saved more than 10% of  my current database size.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;img&quot;&gt;&lt;img alt=&quot;Wordpress Speed 5 in 13 Great WordPress Speed Tips &amp;amp; Tricks for MAX Performance&quot; src=&quot;http://media.smashingmagazine.com/cdn_noupe/img/wordpress_speed_5.jpg&quot; /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;h3 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;Take a good care of your Images&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;5. Use Reliable image hosting service&lt;/h4&gt;Try moving the common web images, CSS, JavaScript and other static files to &lt;a href=&quot;http://aws.amazon.com/s3/&quot;&gt;Amazon S3 Storage service&lt;/a&gt; and you will notice the average CPU load / memory requirement of the web server  will be reduced a lot. Read &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.labnol.org/internet/host-images-files-on-amazon-s3-storage/4923/&quot;&gt;this step by step guide&lt;/a&gt;. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;img&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.labnol.org/internet/host-images-files-on-amazon-s3-storage/4923/&quot;&gt;&lt;img alt=&quot;Wordpress Speed 6 in 13 Great WordPress Speed Tips &amp;amp; Tricks for MAX Performance&quot; src=&quot;http://media.smashingmagazine.com/cdn_noupe/img/wordpress_speed_6.jpg&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;You can also try this &lt;a href=&quot;http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-offload/&quot;&gt;WordPress plugin&lt;/a&gt;,  WP-Offload will boost the performance of your blog by seamlessly  offloading static content like images, documents and movies. This will  greatly reduce bandwidth consumption and the number of HTTP requests  issued to your web server. Additional features such as remote image  manipulation and thumbnail generation are provided.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;6.&lt;a href=&quot;http://toki-woki.net/p/Shrink-O-Matic/&quot;&gt; Optimize your images with this great tool&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/h4&gt;Shrink O’Matic is an AIR application to easily (batch) resize  (shrink) images. It handles JPGs, GIFs and PNGs. Simply drag and drop  images and they’ll be resized as you wish! Options allow you to choose  the output sizes, names and formats.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;img&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://toki-woki.net/p/Shrink-O-Matic/&quot;&gt;&lt;img alt=&quot;Wordpress Speed 1 in 13 Great WordPress Speed Tips &amp;amp; Tricks for MAX Performance&quot; src=&quot;http://media.smashingmagazine.com/cdn_noupe/img/wordpress_speed_1.jpg&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;h3 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;Great Advices for better performance&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;7.&lt;a href=&quot;http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/&quot;&gt;Install WP Super Cache Plugin&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/h4&gt;I guess many of you know why we always insist on using this plugin.  This plugin generates static html files from your dynamic WordPress  blog. After an html file is generated your webserver will serve that  file instead of processing the comparatively heavier and more expensive  WordPress PHP scripts and will not actually load any content from the  database at all therefore the post will load faster with less stress on  your server.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;8.&lt;a href=&quot;http://aciddrop.com/2008/12/11/php-speedy-wp-05-now-works-with-wordpress-27/&quot;&gt;PHP Speedy WP&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/h4&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://aciddrop.com/2008/12/11/php-speedy-wp-05-now-works-with-wordpress-27/&quot;&gt;PHP Speedy WP&lt;/a&gt;  can quickly and easily speed up your WordPress site and improve your  blog’s response time without too much effort on your side by allowing us  to automatically combine all JS and CSS files into only two files –  which in turn helps greatly with page loading times. CSS Background  Images are automatically converted to data URIs. This is useful in  reducing the amount of HTTP requests even further. And, importantly,  it’s compatible with Internet Explorer, even though it doesn’t support  data URIs. Unfortunately, PHP speedy comes with few flaws out of box  that need fixing: Combined JavaScript is placed at the top of the page  instead at the bottom, it does not work with WP Super Cache. In order to  get this two working like we want them, you have to check &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.prelovac.com/vladimir/optimize-wordpress-page-loading-time-with-php-speedy-and-wp-super-cache&quot;&gt;this great article by Prelovac&lt;/a&gt; to make few adjustments to both plugins.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;img&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://aciddrop.com/2008/12/11/php-speedy-wp-05-now-works-with-wordpress-27/&quot;&gt;&lt;img alt=&quot;Wordpress Speed 3 in 13 Great WordPress Speed Tips &amp;amp; Tricks for MAX Performance&quot; src=&quot;http://media.smashingmagazine.com/cdn_noupe/img/wordpress_speed_3.jpg&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;9.&lt;a href=&quot;http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-css/&quot;&gt;WP CSS&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/h4&gt;This plugin GZIP and strip whitespace from your CSS files. It allows  you to confidently use @import inside a CSS file and not worry about  what happens on the user’s end. It will look through your style.css file  and put any @import files into it. A cache expiry time can also be set.  You can also add CSS files to a specific page or post and putting all  of them into one file.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;10.&lt;a href=&quot;http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/db-cache/&quot;&gt;DB Cache&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/h4&gt;This plugin caches every database query with given lifetime. It is very fast and uses small disk space for caching. &lt;br /&gt;
I didn’t try this plugin yet but I’ve read many reviews recommending  it. Let me know what do you guys think about it so we can update this  post with correct information about its performance.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;11.&lt;a href=&quot;http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxlibs/&quot;&gt;Speed up access to your favorite frameworks via the AJAX Libraries API&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/h4&gt;The&lt;a href=&quot;http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxlibs/&quot;&gt; AJAX Libraries API&lt;/a&gt;  is an attempt to make Web applications faster for developers in simple  ways by becoming a content distribution network and loading architecture  for popular javascript libraries including:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;a alt=&quot;jQuery.com&quot; href=&quot;http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxlibs/documentation/index.html#jquery&quot;&gt;jQuery&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;a alt=&quot;prototype&quot; href=&quot;http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxlibs/documentation/index.html#prototype&quot;&gt;prototype&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;a alt=&quot;script.aculo.us&quot; href=&quot;http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxlibs/documentation/index.html#script_aculo_us&quot;&gt;script.aculo.us&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;a alt=&quot;MooTools&quot; href=&quot;http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxlibs/documentation/index.html#mootools&quot;&gt;MooTools&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;a alt=&quot;dojo&quot; href=&quot;http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxlibs/documentation/index.html#dojo&quot;&gt;dojo&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;You can either link to the source code directly:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;dp-highlighter&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;bar&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;tools&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;view plain&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;copy to clipboard&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;print&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;?&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ol class=&quot;dp-c&quot; start=&quot;1&quot;&gt;&lt;li class=&quot;alt&quot;&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;lt;script&amp;nbsp;type=&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&quot;text/javascript&quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li class=&quot;&quot;&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;src=&lt;span class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&quot;http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/prototype/1.6.0.2/prototype.js&quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;pre class=&quot;js&quot; name=&quot;code&quot; style=&quot;display: none;&quot;&gt;&amp;lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot;
    src=&quot;http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/prototype/1.6.0.2/prototype.js&quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;
&lt;/pre&gt;Or you can use Google’s API:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;dp-highlighter&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;bar&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;tools&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;view plain&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;copy to clipboard&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;print&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;?&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ol class=&quot;dp-c&quot; start=&quot;1&quot;&gt;&lt;li class=&quot;alt&quot;&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;lt;script&amp;nbsp;type=&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&quot;text/javascript&quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;src=&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&quot;http://www.google.com/jsapi&quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li class=&quot;&quot;&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;lt;script&amp;nbsp;type=&lt;span class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&quot;text/javascript&quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;gt;google.load(&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&quot;prototype&quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&quot;1.6.0.2&quot;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;);&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;pre class=&quot;js&quot; name=&quot;code&quot; style=&quot;display: none;&quot;&gt;&amp;lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot; src=&quot;http://www.google.com/jsapi&quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;
&amp;lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot;&amp;gt;google.load(&quot;prototype&quot;, &quot;1.6.0.2&quot;);&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;
&lt;/pre&gt;By using the google.load() method, your application has high speed,  globally available access to a growing list of the most popular, open  source and up to date JavaScript libraries. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;12.&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.wprecipes.com/how-to-display-page-loading-time-number-of-queries&quot;&gt;Display page loading time + number of queries&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/h4&gt;Here is a simple code to insert on your template to know how long it  took for your page to load, or how many sql queries were executed. This  tip is very good for knowing how well is your WordPress blog is  optimized.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;dp-highlighter&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;bar&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;tools&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;view plain&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;copy to clipboard&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;print&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.noupe.com/wordpress/13-great-wordpress-speed-tips-tricks-for-max-performance.html#&quot;&gt;?&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ol class=&quot;dp-c&quot; start=&quot;1&quot;&gt;&lt;li class=&quot;alt&quot;&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;lt;?php&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;func&quot;&gt;echo&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;get_num_queries();&amp;nbsp;?&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;queries&amp;nbsp;in&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt;?php&amp;nbsp;timer_stop(1);&amp;nbsp;?&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;seconds.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;pre class=&quot;php&quot; name=&quot;code&quot; style=&quot;display: none;&quot;&gt;&amp;lt;?php echo get_num_queries(); ?&amp;gt; queries in &amp;lt;?php timer_stop(1); ?&amp;gt;  seconds.
&lt;/pre&gt;&lt;h4 class=&quot;title&quot;&gt;13.&lt;a href=&quot;http://yoast.com/wordpress/optimize-db/&quot;&gt;Optimize DB&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/h4&gt;MySQL is a great database, but it doesn’t clean itself up the way it  should sometimes. This plugin runs an optimize table command on your  WordPress tables, effectively defragmenting it. This is very useful for  tables that are frequently updated. The interface is very simple at the  moment: just one button: Optimize Now, and some info on how much space  will be saved. It looks like this:&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div class=&quot;box&quot;&gt; &lt;div class=&quot;content&quot;&gt; 53 queries in 0.788 seconds&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;Just open the &lt;strong&gt;footer.php&lt;/strong&gt; in your theme folder and paste the following code at anywhere you like:&lt;br /&gt;

Today, I have compiled hacks that will make your  blogger life easier, by optimizing and simplifying how your WordPress  blog works. Enjoy!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;Hardcode to make WordPress faster&lt;/h2&gt;Hardcoding  is generally not a good practice, however in the case of an established  website, hardcoding your blog url, site url, template path and  stylesheet path will make your blog run faster.&lt;br /&gt;
When a function such as &lt;code&gt;bloginfo(&#39;url&#39;)&lt;/code&gt; is called, WordPress executes a query to your database to get the value, except if the value can be found on your &lt;code&gt;wp-config.php&lt;/code&gt; file.&lt;br /&gt;
To hardcode those constants, edit &lt;code&gt;wp-config.php&lt;/code&gt; and paste the following (Don’t forget to change the values!):&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;syntaxhighlighter &quot; id=&quot;highlighter_184541&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;bar     &quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;toolbar&quot;&gt;view sourceprint?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;lines&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt1&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;1.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 0px ! important;&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;define(&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;WP_HOME&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;, &lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;&lt;a href=&quot;http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/&quot;&gt;http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/&lt;/a&gt;&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;); // blog url&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt2&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;2.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 0px ! important;&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;define(&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;WP_SITEURL&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;, &lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;&lt;a href=&quot;http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/&quot;&gt;http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/&lt;/a&gt;&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;); // site url&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt1&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;3.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 0px ! important;&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;define(&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;TEMPLATEPATH&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;, &lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;/absolute/path/to/wp-content/themes/cwc5&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;);&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt2&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;4.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 0px ! important;&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;define(&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;STYLESHEETPATH&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;, &lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;/absolute/path/to/wp-content/themes/cwc5&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;);&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;b&gt;Source: &lt;a href=&quot;http://digwp.com/2009/07/optimize-wordpress-performance-with-the-wp-config-php-file/&quot;&gt;http://digwp.com/2009/07/optimize-wordpress-performance-with-the-wp-config-php-file/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;Set HTML editor as the default&lt;/h2&gt;I know a lot of tech-savvy  persons who don’t really like WordPress “visual” editor. Personally, I  don’t use it because I’m used to writing HTML, and also because WYSIWYG  editors are more likely to produce bad, not valid or dirty code.&lt;br /&gt;
If you prefer using the HTML editor, then what about making it your blog default? Just paste the line below into your theme &lt;code&gt;functions.php&lt;/code&gt; file, and you’re done.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;syntaxhighlighter &quot; id=&quot;highlighter_745846&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;bar   &quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;toolbar&quot;&gt;view sourceprint?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;lines&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt1&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;1.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 0px ! important;&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;add_filter(&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;wp_default_editor&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;, create_function(&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;, &lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;return &quot;html&quot;;&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;));&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;b&gt;Source: &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.wprecipes.com/how-to-set-html-editor-as-the-default-in-wordpress&quot;&gt;http://www.wprecipes.com/how-to-set-html-editor-as-the-default-in-wordpress&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;Make term edition a lot easier&lt;/h2&gt;For  some reason, WordPress uploader won’t let you upload some filetypes,  such as Textmate’s .tmCommand. If you need to upload those files to your  WordPress blog, here is a very nice snippet that will allow you to do  it.&lt;br /&gt;
Simply paste the following code on your &lt;code&gt;functions.php&lt;/code&gt; file. If needed, you can add more file types by adding them on line 4, separated by a pipe (|)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;syntaxhighlighter &quot; id=&quot;highlighter_896640&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;bar  &quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;toolbar&quot;&gt;view sourceprint?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;lines&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt1&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;01.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 0px ! important;&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;&amp;lt;?php&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt2&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;02.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 0px ! important;&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;keyword&quot;&gt;function&lt;/code&gt; &lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;addUploadMimes(&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;variable&quot;&gt;$mimes&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;) {&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt1&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;03.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;spaces&quot;&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 32px ! important;&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;variable&quot;&gt;$mimes&lt;/code&gt; &lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;= &lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;functions&quot;&gt;array_merge&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;(&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;variable&quot;&gt;$mimes&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;, &lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;keyword&quot;&gt;array&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;(&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt2&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;04.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;spaces&quot;&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 64px ! &lt;h2&gt;Remove autolinks in comments&lt;/h2&gt;Links  in comments can be a good thing when they’re useful and relevant, but  unfortunely lots of people are just leaving links in your comments in  order to get clicks and backlinks.&lt;br /&gt;
As this became a recurrent  problem on my blogs, I’ve looked for a solution and found a piece of  code that will make urls appears as text, not as links.&lt;br /&gt;
As always, the code have to be pasted to your &lt;code&gt;functions.php&lt;/code&gt; file.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;syntaxhighlighter &quot; id=&quot;highlighter_288782&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;bar&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;toolbar&quot;&gt;view sourceprint?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;lines&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt1&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;1.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 0px ! important;&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;remove_filter(&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;comment_text&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;, &lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;string&quot;&gt;&#39;make_clickable&#39;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;plain&quot;&gt;, 9);&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;b&gt;Source: &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.wprecipes.com/wordpress-hack-remove-autolinks-in-comments&quot;&gt;http://www.wprecipes.com/wordpress-hack-remove-autolinks-in-comments&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;Easily modify contact info&lt;/h2&gt;I  always wondered why WordPress still has a Yahoo and a AIM field for  user contact information while nowadays, services like Facebook or  Twitter became a lot more popular.&lt;br /&gt;
This simple hack will remove  the AIM, Yahoo and Jabber fields and will replace them with Twitter,  Facebook and LinkedIn. Just paste the code below in your &lt;code&gt;functions.php&lt;/code&gt; file, and you’re ready to go.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;syntaxhighlighter &quot; id=&quot;highlighter_403981&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;bar  &quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;toolbar&quot;&gt;view sourceprint?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;lines&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt1&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;01.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 0px ! &lt;h2&gt;Leverage browser caching via .htaccess&lt;/h2&gt;One  of the easiest way to improve your blog speed and general user  experience is to leverage browser caching to reduce the number of http  queries that the server needs to process. In fact, static files like  images or PDF documents are not likely to change often so we can improve  our blog speed by telling user browsers that they don’t need to  download those files again if they’re already on the browser cache.&lt;br /&gt;
Open your &lt;code&gt;.htaccess&lt;/code&gt; file (located at the root of your WordPress install) and paste the following. &lt;b&gt;Remember to always make a backup&lt;/b&gt; before editing &lt;code&gt;.htaccess&lt;/code&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;syntaxhighlighter &quot; id=&quot;highlighter_657134&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;bar       show&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;toolbar&quot;&gt;view sourceprint?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;lines&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;line alt1&quot;&gt;&lt;code class=&quot;number&quot;&gt;01.&lt;/code&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;content&quot;&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;block&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 0px ! With WordPress so popular these  days, it’s becoming a bigger and bigger target for hackers. In this post  we’ll look at ten easy ways to secure your WordPress blog. &lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;1-wp-security-scan&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;toc-anchor-1241-1&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;1. WP Security Scan&lt;/h2&gt;This very easy to use plugin will sort out some of the basic security  issues with WordPress - it&#39;ll change your database&#39;s name and alert you  to flaws in your installation&#39;s security, amongst other features.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-security-scan/&quot;&gt;Download&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;2-protect-your-plugins&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;toc-anchor-1241-2&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;h2&gt;2. Protect your plugins&lt;/h2&gt;Plugins are an easy way for a hacker to get access to your blog if  they&#39;ve got flaws in them. An easy way for hackers to find out which  plugins you&#39;re using is to go to /wp-content/plugins/, and they&#39;ll find  all the plugins that you&#39;re using. The solution? Put a blank index.html  file in the wp-content/plugins/ folder.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;3-update-wordpress&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;toc-anchor-1241-3&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;h2&gt;3. Update WordPress&lt;/h2&gt;This is super-easy to do, but a surprising number of people don&#39;t do  it: update WordPress. If you&#39;re super-security-conscious then don&#39;t  upgrade to the next big release immediately (ie 2.8), wait for the bug  fixes to come in (ie wait for 2.8.1).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;4-pick-a-good-password&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;toc-anchor-1241-4&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;h2&gt;4. Pick a good password&lt;/h2&gt;Common sense. Use a good password. Don&#39;t use the same password that  you use on every site, create something that is easily memorable, with a  mix of UPPER and lower case and some numbers in there too. Change your  password regularly too.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;5-change-the-admin-user-name&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;toc-anchor-1241-5&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;h2&gt;5. Change the admin user name&lt;/h2&gt;By default, the WordPress user name is admin. [Lots]% of people don&#39;t  change it. Why should you change it? If a hacker has your username,  he&#39;s halfway there to getting into your site, he just has to guess your  password. If the hacker has to guess your username as well, then that&#39;s  twice as much work to do. It&#39;s super easy to migrate posts from one user  to another, just create your new user and then delete the admin user.  You&#39;ll be given the option to migrate posts to another user.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;6-protect-your-wp-config-php-file&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;toc-anchor-1241-6&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;h2&gt;6. Protect your WP-Config.php file&lt;/h2&gt;Your WP-Config.php contains your database name, database username and database password. It&#39;s something to protect.&lt;br /&gt;
Just add the following code to your .htaccess file:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;wp_syntax&quot;&gt;&lt;div class=&quot;code&quot;&gt;&lt;pre class=&quot;bash&quot; style=&quot;font-family: monospace;&quot;&gt;&lt;span style=&quot;color: #666666; font-style: italic;&quot;&gt;# protect wpconfig.php&lt;/span&gt;
&amp;nbsp;
order allow,deny from all&lt;/pre&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;Source -&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.nometech.com/blog/a-to-z-of-wordpress-htaccess-hacks/&quot;&gt; Nometech.com&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;7-hide-your-wordpress-version&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a class=&quot;toc-anchor&quot; href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;toc-anchor-1241-7&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;h2&gt;7. Hide your WordPress version&lt;/h2&gt;First off, go into your header.php file and remove the meta data  (something like &amp;lt;meta name=&quot;generator&quot; etc). Trouble is, WordPress  adds in the meta data automatically! How do you remove it? Paste this  code into your functions.php file.&lt;br /&gt;

Seoer always create a new  backlinks not stop, however, while creating &lt;strong&gt;backlinks&lt;/strong&gt; there are too many questions so we can complete a &lt;strong&gt;backlinks&lt;/strong&gt;. This article will address some questions and help the newbie like me can create the backlinks as possible:&lt;br /&gt;
* How do I get backlinks fast?&lt;br /&gt;
* How much should build links every week, every month?&lt;br /&gt;
Does google have a fine website if I make too many links?&lt;br /&gt;
The answer to these questions will be thoroughly examined in this article. Let&#39;s start.&lt;br /&gt;
The &lt;strong&gt;backlinks&lt;/strong&gt; built by nature.&lt;br /&gt;
&quot;Nature&quot; is mentioned here is that when consumers find and visit your  Web site or through search engines or other sources, they see or read  the contents and liked it so they link with it.&lt;br /&gt;
Of course visitors are not always related to it. So, this number may  be very small, especially in Vietnam few people have the habit of  sharing the news of foreign political and social life ... If you have a  successful website without using any type of service &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.vietnamseo.org/seo-la-gi&quot; title=&quot;SEO&quot;&gt;SEO&lt;/a&gt; How, for example, link building, and you earn only a few natural links style in a month with some nice domain names.&lt;br /&gt;
Here are some sample data from the successful site (no link building services from&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.vietnamseo.org/&quot; target=&quot;_self&quot; title=&quot;SEO Company&quot;&gt; SEO companies&lt;/a&gt;):&lt;br /&gt;
You&#39;ll notice that each site receives only up to 4 links per month  from the website domain name beautiful. And at least one link per month.  Data average of 2 links per month.&lt;br /&gt;
Note these pages have no problem with indexing or ranking. The data  is to prove that backlinks do not need to create a large number of newly  created good ranking results, it is important that it needs a star  quality and natural properties to be sure.&lt;br /&gt;
Thing to remember when creating&lt;strong&gt; backlinks&lt;/strong&gt; a &quot;quality  score of&quot; other AOE pediatric doctors. With Google, links are highly  linked to from within the site&#39;s content. These are quality links that  will have a positive impact on your rankings. The growth of the link  depends on the development of website content.&lt;br /&gt;
Remember that if you develop more quality content every day, the  amount of viewers will increase significantly less than or update  website content. With this strategy you would hope to receive more than  one link that you put in it. For example, the site received comments as  typical of the coment VNN been hacked, or have medical Wikileaks claims  to Vietnam.&lt;br /&gt;
Forum is continually updated, as well as the blog, so you can expect a  large number of visitors, may be related to a large number of your  customers monthly&lt;br /&gt;
Slow and fast link acquisition may not hurt&lt;br /&gt;
A natural link is fast or slow the natural elements standing decision&lt;br /&gt;
for example, the site creates a large amount of public interest, such  as Wikileaks. Consider what happened when Julian Assange released  secret documents and confidential for your website Wikileaks. It creates  great publicity, but also created a large number of links to your site.&lt;br /&gt;
So to answer the question: &quot;How quickly I&#39;ll get links to my  website?&quot; &quot;How much should build links every week, every month?&quot; ...  Then remember that If you are building a large number of links to your  site, but want the number of links to your website reached a relative it  is necessary to have a number of reasons. A good method is to create  public opinion from your site. There are many simple and effective way  to do this:&lt;br /&gt;
* Publication of controversial content or virus - Wikileaks is an  example: publishing the story of the secret government will certainly  create a lot of attention. VNN or hacked as well as disturbing public  opinion&lt;br /&gt;
* Create the spread or through a video that interested readers can not be ignored.&lt;br /&gt;
* Spread over the image, this might be regarded as a strong spread  globally, but should be legal, it&#39;s easy to scrape the ice germ;;). But  there are so many things can spread, but still legally related to social  life. Or a certain unique products from our store.&lt;br /&gt;
Some webmasters actively building &lt;strong&gt;backlinks&lt;/strong&gt;. But it looks bad to build a large number &lt;strong&gt;backlinks&lt;/strong&gt; to a site not updated at all or very little about its contents.</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/feeds/6078466124246456380/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-do-you-get-backlinks-fast.html#comment-form' title='4 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/6078466124246456380'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/6078466124246456380'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-do-you-get-backlinks-fast.html' title='How do you get backlinks fast'/><author><name>Dinh Thi Lan Anh</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/11499263392334330616</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='https://img1.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>4</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6746956919510739785.post-5322773265722299287</id><published>2011-02-16T17:05:00.000+07:00</published><updated>2011-02-16T17:05:21.400+07:00</updated><category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="seo"/><title type='text'>Developing as well as Managing Web Site Content</title><content type='html'>If a approach to a man’s heart is by his go by, a approach to a site  visitor’s as great as poke engines heart is by savoury visible as great  as textual food – web site content. The notoriously wily small metric, the TBPR has turn the  unequivocally usual source of headaches for roughly everyone.&lt;br /&gt;
Two reasons:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;1. Infrequently TBPR checkers don’t work.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Gah. you have twenty couple builders regulating the couple of  opposite collection to check TBPR as well as might be 20% of the time,  they send in the couple tighten inventory the TBPR though, when the  single of us rough managers checks it, it’s display as unranked or it’s  simply not the same series they primarily reported.&lt;br /&gt;
While you know this metric can vacillate, it doesn’t customarily  shift from the 4 to unranked inside of the camber of 5 mins, upon the  unchanging basis. What if you were acid for the great site to get the  couple from as well as you found your undiluted page though it was  display as unranked? Would you pass? Many couple builders would. That’s  the great detriment of opportunity.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;2. Many( many) people aren’t unequivocally sure what Toolbar Page Rank essentially indicates.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
It’s erring to consider which this simply seen metric is the loyal  approach to sign how profitable Google thinks your site is. Since you  can’t demonstrate it any improved than David Harry, usually go as well  as review what he has to contend upon the matter.&lt;br /&gt;
So if TBPR is so misunderstood as well as, um, not regularly rightly  noticed by collection, what metrics CAN you operate to establish either  the couple upon the site is worth starting after? &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Since I’m gripping this elementary, here have been dual ways:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;1. Relevance&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Relevance is additionally wily in the small ways, as it’s  unequivocally easy to chuck in keywords as well as have the poke engine  consider you’re articulate about the sure subject even when it’s all  nonsense. Recollect the days of keyword seasoned  mixture calm? you recollect duplicating as well as pasting the same  divide 5 times in the single page, usually to strength it out as well as  have it have the great keyword density.&lt;br /&gt;
No, you don’t do which any some-more as well as approbation, you am  embarrassed. Whole sites can be finished in this demeanour as well as it  can infrequently take the tellurian user to acknowledge what’s starting  on. Is it seasoned mixture, or it is the indeed applicable site? &lt;br /&gt;
Relevance counts to me especially since of the intensity to broach  competent trade by links. We’re conference some-more about how Google  might proceed to operate couple click inform to worth links, so those  tiny-fonted footers aren’t starting to assistance you, if they still  have been anyway.&lt;br /&gt;
No have the difference how great the site is which you get the couple  upon, if it’s utterly not pertinent to what your site is, your  possibility of the trade acclimatisation is lessened, as well as because  rubbish which possibility? Contextual aptitude is even some-more  critical than site aptitude, as you don’t need for the site to be 60  pages about cancer diagnosis options in sequence to get the great couple  for the site which sells vegetarian cookbooks upon the page about  eating reduction meat. you usually need the single great, contextually  applicable page.&lt;br /&gt;
A couple of months ago you wrote about tangential aptitude upon this  site. Basically, if you can have something applicable, it’s relevant.  However, if you widen the aptitude to the indeed silly genius, you’ll  substantially not be saying most trade from those links.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;2. Quality of Backlinks&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
If the site has great, lawful backlinks, that’s most some-more  critical to me than TBPR. If the site has been cited by the  leaders/competitors in the niche I’m selling, which tells me which it  has historically been the great anxiety as well as will hopefully go on  to be one. Notice which you did not discuss apportion, usually quality.  Sure, you would adore to see 500 illusory backlinks though I’ll take 5  as well.&lt;br /&gt;
Obviously it’s up to us as couple builders to teach the clients about  what TBPR essentially is. It’s the great metric to chuck in to the  inform, of march, as well as which isn’t starting to shift any time  shortly though you can do the pinnacle to safeguard which it’s not since  some-more weight than it deserves. It’s tough to have lovable small  tidy columns for Aptitude as well as Quality of Backlinks though…but you  theory that’s where customer information exchnage outward of elementary  Excel spreadsheets comes in to play.</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/feeds/4903358752721268937/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/good-metrics-to-establish-couple-value.html#comment-form' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/4903358752721268937'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/4903358752721268937'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/good-metrics-to-establish-couple-value.html' title='Good metrics to establish a couple value: not toolbar pagerank'/><author><name>Dinh Thi Lan Anh</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/11499263392334330616</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='https://img1.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6746956919510739785.post-8054863803049405793</id><published>2011-02-16T15:29:00.000+07:00</published><updated>2011-02-16T15:29:11.860+07:00</updated><category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="other"/><category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="phpbb"/><title type='text'>Ajax Forum stats for Seo phpbb</title><content type='html'>This is Mod Ajax Forum stats:      &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
By far the most common question webmasters have in relation to Google  is: how do I improve [or increase] my PageRank? Before answering this  question, it is important to take into consideration what PageRank is,  how it is calculated, and what it means for your site.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Google PageRank, based on a scale of 0 to 10, is the means by which  Google ranks the worth of particular site. Theoretically, a site with a  PageRank of 8 is generally of more use to the average visitor than a  site with a PageRank of 3. Accordingly, sites with higher PageRanks rank  higher in the Google search results for a given keyword than those with  lower PageRanks. The goal is to provide the user with the highest  quality sites for a particular keyword first.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
PageRank is calculated based almost entirely upon two factors: how many  other sites link to your site, and the PageRank of those sites that link  to you. Thus, ideally you want a lot of sites with high PageRanks to  link to your site. Getting many low or no PageRank sites to link to your  site won&#39;t do you much good – in fact, there is some evidence that  Google penalizes sites that have an abnormally high number of low  PageRank sites linking to them. This situation is usually indicative of  someone trying to cheat the system by simply adding links to useless  pages in so-called &quot;link farms.&quot; So, in a sense, Google is capable of  recognizing whether your site hangs out with a good crowd or a bad crowd  by what kind of sites link to yours. It is much better to get a few  sites with a high PageRank to link to yours (especially those with  PageRanks higher than your own) than a bunch of sites with low or 0  PageRank.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
PageRank is crucially important because it determines, in part, in what  order your website will show up in Google&#39;s results. Besides PageRank,  the other factor is largely website content – i.e. what your site  actually contains, what keywords are present in your text and how often  they appear. If two sites have basically the same content, cover the  same topic, and have the same keyword saturation (the percentage of  keywords in the entire text), then the one with the higher PageRank will  almost always come out on top.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Okay, now for ways to improve your PageRank, legally and fairly:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Built good websites&lt;/b&gt;. If you construct a website that is useful to  your visitors and has something original to contribute, other  webmasters will recognize this and want to link to your site. Some of  the best websites out there that are meaningful with lots of useful and  original content also have thousands upon thousands of good inbound  links. No one wants to link to a site that is poorly constructed, or  fails to offer any original or useful information/ service. Simply put,  the better your site is, the more links you will get, the more visitors  will visit your site, and the higher the PageRank you will receive  (which will, in turn, bring you more visitors, and the cycle continues).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Actively seek out healthy link partnerships&lt;/b&gt;. It usually isn&#39;t  enough simply to build a good site and wait around for someone to  notice. Contacting webmasters with similar websites in an attempt to  exchange links is a good idea – if you do it right.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When looking to exchanging web links, you&#39;ll want to partner your site  with other high-quality sites, preferably with those with PageRanks  equal or greater than your own. Since Google calculates PageRank based  upon the PageRank of sites linking to yours, this is of significant  consequence to your site. And, of course, if your site is truly useful  and professional, you are sure to get at least some webmasters to agree  to link to your site. You can&#39;t expect 100% success, and sending out  individual link requests can be a bit of a chore. However, we believe  that it is indeed a worthwhile endeavor for those serious about  improving their PageRank. To get some hints and tips about writing and  sending out link exchange e-mails, see our &quot;How to successfully request  and obtain valuable links from sites with higher pageranks&quot; page.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Stay clear of &quot;link farms,&quot; fake SEO gimmicks, and low-ranking websites&lt;/b&gt;.  If you pay some company to submit your site to 100,000 FFA pages, don&#39;t  expect to get your money&#39;s worth. Getting a link to your site on  thousands of low quality, low-ranking websites can actually decrease  your PageRank, and overall standing with Google. Google&#39;s ranking  mechanism will be able to detect that your site is listed on so many of  these undesirable pages. In many cases, this is seen as an attempt to  inflate your PageRank unfairly, and sites may be penalized as a result.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Likewise, refrain from using such illegal practices as &quot;cloaking&quot; in  order to artificially inflate your PageRank. Google defines cloaking as  &quot;[a term] used to describe a website that returns altered webpages to  search engines crawling the site. In other words, the webserver is  programmed to return different content to Google than it returns to  regular users, usually in an attempt to distort search engine rankings.  This can mislead users about what they&#39;ll find when they click on a  search result.&quot; Using cloaking or other illegal tricks can – and almost  certainly will – result in the penalization of your site, or removal  from the Google index altogether.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We realize that these suggestions and strategies offer no silver bullet  to increasing your Google PageRank. However, they are time-tested  methods of truly increasing your PageRank over time. If you are  committed to the task, and have created a useful website, there is no  reason why you cannot significantly raise the PageRank of your site.&lt;br /&gt;

Page rank is the value that  Google gives your site, measured by how many quality links are pointing  back to your site, or how popular your site is.  The more links you have  pointing back to your site, namely quality links from sites with a  higher PR, the higher your site will be ranked in Google’s search  engine.  The rank is on a scale of 0-10 - ten being the highest rank of  course!  It takes time to get a PR higher than zero when first starting  out.  This is partly because once you submit your URL to Google and  other search engines, it may take weeks or even months before it is  indexed.  It may also be partly due to the fact that you just need to  build good content for your site, and have your links on other people’s  websites all over the web.  Even if you have a PR of 1-5, you are doing  well, even though it may not sound like it.  The challenge is for  webmasters to increase their PR as much and as quickly as possible, but  how?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
First of all, there are some tools you can use to check your PR, namely  the Google Page Rank Toolbar, which can be downloaded for free from the  Google site, and is installed onto your browser.  This allows you to  check your own site’s PR, as well as those of other sites you visit,  which will give you a good clue as to which sites you should be linking  to.  Linking to sites with a higher PR will increase your site’s PR.   It’s a good idea to do a Google search for keywords related to your  site’s content, and choose sites to link to whose PR you know in  advance.  You can send an email to that webmaster asking to exchange  links.  Not all of them will accept, but the few that do could increase  your PR very quickly just by linking to your site!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Next, it’s important to do some serious keyword research using a keyword  search tool, one of the most popular being Overture’s keyword search  tool.  With this tool, or other similar tools, you would type in search  terms, such as &quot;make money online&quot;.  Since this is a very broad search  term, it is going to be highly competitive and will generate a high  number of results for number of times that term has been searched.  When  optimizing your site, you want to avoid these highly competitive terms  and use keywords that generate fewer results, by coming up with a  keyword that is searched less, but still popular.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There are a few tricks to getting ranked higher with regards to  keywords, such as changing some of your source code keywords.  For  example, you can change the title tag of your site to match the  optimized keywords you want to use.  You can also look at the source  code of other people’s sites by clicking View/Source in your browser  while visiting their site to see how optimized their site is and which  tags and images they use or don’t use.  It is helpful to highlight,  bold, or italicize your website keywords to get a higher rank,  especially if your competition is not doing that.  If you check what  your competition is doing, and do what the higher ranked sites are  doing, you may be able to outrank them!</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/feeds/5116024799690439304/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/google-page-rank-what-you-need-to-know.html#comment-form' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/5116024799690439304'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/5116024799690439304'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/google-page-rank-what-you-need-to-know.html' title='Google Page Rank : What You Need to Know'/><author><name>Dinh Thi Lan Anh</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/11499263392334330616</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='https://img1.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6746956919510739785.post-5040180069976277508</id><published>2011-02-14T16:50:00.002+07:00</published><updated>2011-02-14T16:50:39.772+07:00</updated><category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="Google Page Rank"/><title type='text'>What is Page Rank and How Does It Work?</title><content type='html'>As 2006 faced its last weeks, Google was the favorite among search  engine. Most of Google&#39;s popularity is credited to its preferred form of  search engine optimization, a trademarked program Google dubbed Google  PageRank. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
PageRank defined &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
According to www.pro-seo.com/glossary.html, Check PageRank aka PR is one  of the methods Google uses to determine the relevance or importance of a  Web page. PageRank is a vote, by all the other Web pages on the  Internet, about how important a Web page is. A link to a Web page counts  as a vote of support. If there are no incoming links to a Web page then  there is no support. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Google explains it just about the same. Each link is considered to be a  vote; however, Google does not consider all votes to be equal. It  considers some votes to be more important or valuable than others. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
PageRank explained &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Google Pagerank Search Engines operates under a democratic nature by  determining web relevance with links which are considered votes. Each  vote counts, but not all the votes are counted the same. During its  analyses Google looks at more than just the volume of votes a webpage  receives, it also takes into account the page that cast the vote. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&quot;Important&quot; sites help to make other sites &quot;important.&quot; In other words  if a high ranking site offers the link then Google counts this vote more  heavily. Thus a link for a site in the top ten can help your website,  while a link from a site that is low in rank, or doesn’t relate to your  site, does very little to improve your search engine ranking. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Google has designed Google PageRank to be an eight-unit measurement. It  displays the value PageRank places on each website directly beside each  website it displays. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Why does the page matter as opposed to the volume? Due to spamdexing  Google had to make its analysis stricter. People were swapping links  with one another in mass quantities, or buying them from other websites.  To combat this Google made the quality of the link outweigh the actual  quantity. In 2005, it designed and activated a program called nofollow, a  program they designed to allow webmasters and bloggers to create links  that PageRank would ingnore. The same system was also used to keep  spamdexing to a minumum. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Content analysis &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Anyone who surfs the net knows that &quot;important&quot; pages mean nothing if  the do not suit your needs. This is why in addition with PageRank,  Google uses sophisticated text-matching techniques to find pages that  are relevant to your query. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Many SEOs are fixated with search engine ranking and this is  understandable as it is one of the best ways to gain traffic, but while  they are out there trying to get links from high PageRanking pages, they  need to keep in mind that PageRanking alone is not enough. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
To Check PageRank is essentially, only a score that represents the value  of a page, as Google determines it. Getting a link to your pages from a  high PR page will add some value to your page. But that does not take  into account the context of the link -- the words in the link -- the  anchor text. Your SEO plan should contain more than just PageRanking in  order for you to have long term success on the internet. &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_step10&quot;&gt;Step 10 - Enable e-commerce transaction tracking&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&lt;table border=&quot;0&quot; cellpadding=&quot;0&quot; cellspacing=&quot;0&quot;&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;
&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;0.1.1_step1&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Step 1 - Create a Google Analytics account&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;td align=&quot;right&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_top&quot;&gt;Back to Top&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;em&gt;Note to AdWords users:&lt;/em&gt; Google Analytics is able to import  and track cost data from Google AdWords if your AdWords and Analytics  accounts are linked. Please sign in to your AdWords account and follow  the instructions once you&#39;ve clicked &#39;Google Analytics&#39; from the &lt;strong&gt;Reporting&lt;/strong&gt; tab.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;To create an Analytics account:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;Visit &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/analytics&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;http://www.google.com/analytic&lt;wbr&gt;&lt;/wbr&gt;s&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Enter your Google Account email and password and click &lt;strong&gt;Sign In&lt;/strong&gt;. If you don&#39;t have a Google Account, click &lt;strong&gt;Sign up now&lt;/strong&gt; to create one.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Sign Up&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Enter your &lt;strong&gt;Website&#39;s URL&lt;/strong&gt;, making sure to select either &lt;span style=&quot;font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;http://&lt;/span&gt; or &lt;span style=&quot;font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;https://&lt;/span&gt; from the drop-down list. Enter a nickname for this account in the &lt;strong&gt;Account Name&lt;/strong&gt; field, then click &lt;strong&gt;Continue&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Enter your contact information and click &lt;strong&gt;Continue&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Read the Google Analytics Terms of Service. If you agree to these terms, select the &lt;strong&gt;Yes&lt;/strong&gt; checkbox and click &lt;strong&gt;Create New Account&lt;/strong&gt; to continue.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;Tracking Instructions&lt;/strong&gt; page that appears contains  the tracking code that you&#39;ll need to paste into each page of your  site. We recommend completing some additional steps before pasting this  code, however, to ensure that the data you collect is relevant. If you&#39;d  prefer to install the tracking code right away, please skip to &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_step4&quot;&gt;Step 4&lt;/a&gt; for instructions.&lt;br /&gt;
Otherwise, click &lt;strong&gt;Continue&lt;/strong&gt; on the &lt;strong&gt;Tracking Instructions&lt;/strong&gt; page to access your new account.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;table border=&quot;0&quot; cellpadding=&quot;0&quot; cellspacing=&quot;0&quot;&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;
&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;0.1.1_step2&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Step 2 - Configure your profile&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;td align=&quot;right&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_top&quot;&gt;Back to Top&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; It&#39;s important to configure your profile in order to get the most out of your reports. To access your profile settings:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;In the &lt;strong&gt;Website Profiles&lt;/strong&gt; table, find the profile to edit.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Edit&lt;/strong&gt;. The Profile Settings page appears.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Edit&lt;/strong&gt; on the Main Website Profile Information table.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Default page&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Setting this to the default (or index) page of your site allows Google Analytics to reconcile log entries for &lt;strong&gt;www.example.com&lt;/strong&gt; and &lt;strong&gt;www.example.com/index.html&lt;/strong&gt;,  for example. These are in fact the same page, but are reported as two  distinct pages until the Default Page setting has been configured.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Exclude URL Query Parameters&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Does your site use dynamic session or user identifiers? You can tell  Analytics to ignore these variables and not count them as unique pages.  Enter any query parameters to exclude, separated with commas. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;E-Commerce Website&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
To enable e-commerce reporting and the E-Commerce Analysis report set, select &lt;strong&gt;Yes&lt;/strong&gt;. More information on e-commerce reporting is available in &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_step10&quot;&gt;Step 10&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;table border=&quot;0&quot; cellpadding=&quot;0&quot; cellspacing=&quot;0&quot;&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;
&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;0.1.1_step3&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Step 3 - Edit the tracking code for custom website setups&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;td align=&quot;right&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_top&quot;&gt;Back to Top&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; The tracking code that is provided to you is designed to work with  most site setups. However, there are a few scenarios that require small  updates to the tracking code on each of your pages. If any of the  following apply to you, follow the instructions to update your code  before adding it to your pages.&lt;br /&gt;
Learn how to:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55503&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;Track multiple domains in one profile&lt;/a&gt; (eg. a main site as well as a secure store site)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55524&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;Track more than one subdomain in one profile&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55523&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;Track multiple domain aliases&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;table border=&quot;0&quot; cellpadding=&quot;0&quot; cellspacing=&quot;0&quot;&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;
&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;0.1.1_step4&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Step 4 - Add the tracking code to your pages&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;td align=&quot;right&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_top&quot;&gt;Back to Top&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;strong&gt;Add the tracking code to your pages&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Google Analytics only tracks pages that contain the Google Analytics  tracking code. You&#39;ll need to add this code to each page of your site,  either manually or through the use of includes or other methods.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;To access your tracking code:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;Sign in to Google Analytics.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;From the &lt;strong&gt;Analytics Settings&lt;/strong&gt; page, find the profile  for which you would like to retrieve the tracking code. Please note that  tracking code is profile-specific.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;From that profile&#39;s &lt;strong&gt;Settings&lt;/strong&gt; column, click &lt;strong&gt;Edit&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;At the top right of the Main Website Profile Information box, click &lt;strong&gt;Check Status&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Your tracking code can be copied and pasted from the text box in the Instructions for adding tracking section.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Basic installation&lt;/strong&gt; - Copy and paste the code segment into the bottom of your content, &lt;em&gt;immediately before the &amp;lt;/body&amp;gt;&lt;/em&gt; tag of each page you are planning to track. If you use a common include or template, you can enter it there.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;span style=&quot;color: #666666; font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;&amp;lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot;&amp;gt;
var gaJsHost = ((&quot;https:&quot; == document.location.protocol) ? &quot;https://ssl.&quot; : &quot;http://www.&quot;);
document.write(unescape(&quot;%3Cscript src=&#39;&quot; + gaJsHost + &quot;google-analytics.com/ga.js&#39; type=&#39;text/javascript&#39;%3E%3C/script%3E&quot;));
&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;
&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style=&quot;color: #666666; font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;&amp;lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot;&amp;gt;
try{
var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker(&quot;UA-xxxxxx-x&quot;);
pageTracker._trackPageview();
} catch(err) {}
&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;You&#39;ll need to update the &quot;xxxx-x&quot; in the sample above with your own  Google Analytics account number. You can access your personalized  tracking code in its entirety by following the instructions in &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55603&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;Where can I find my tracking code?&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Once you&#39;ve completed this step, Google Analytics will begin  collecting traffic data. You&#39;ll be able to see data in your reports  within 24 hours.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Database driven sites&lt;/strong&gt; - Insert the tracking code on your index.php page or equivalent (eg. default.php, index.cfm).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Pages with frames&lt;/strong&gt; - A web page containing frames  will generate multiple pageviews: one for the framing page (containing  either a FRAMESET or IFRAME tag within its HTML code), and one for each  page shown in a frame. As a result, pageviews may be somewhat inflated.  Even if a page on your site only appears as a frame for another page, we  still recommend tagging it with the entire tracking code. If a visitor  reaches the page through a search engine or a direct link from another  site and the page doesn&#39;t contain the tracking code, the referral,  keyword and/or campaign information from the source will be lost.&lt;br /&gt;
Please see &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=57047&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;How do I interpret the reports for a website that has frames?&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;table border=&quot;0&quot; cellpadding=&quot;0&quot; cellspacing=&quot;0&quot;&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;
&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;0.1.1_step5&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Step 5 - Link with your AdWords account&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;td align=&quot;right&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_top&quot;&gt;Back to Top&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;/div&gt;For AdWords advertisers, Google Analytics can currently import cost  data from AdWords campaigns. To link your AdWords and Analytics  accounts, sign in to your AdWords account and follow the steps provided after you click &#39;Google Analytics&#39;  from the &lt;strong&gt;Reporting&lt;/strong&gt; tab.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&lt;table border=&quot;0&quot; cellpadding=&quot;0&quot; cellspacing=&quot;0&quot;&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;
&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;0.1.1_step6&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Step 6 - Create goals and funnels &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;td align=&quot;right&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_top&quot;&gt;Back to Top&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; If your website is designed to drive visitors to a particular page,  such as a purchase or email signup page, you can track the number of  successful conversions using goals and funnels in Google Analytics.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;A &lt;em&gt;goal&lt;/em&gt; is a website page a visitor reaches once she or he  has made a purchase or completed another desired action, such as a  registration or download.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;A &lt;em&gt;funnel&lt;/em&gt; represents the path that you expect visitors to  take in order to reach the goal. Defining these pages allows you to see  how frequently visitors abandon goals (and where they go instead) and  the value of the goal.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;Each profile can have up to 4 goals, with a defined funnel for each. To set up goals and funnels:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Enter Goal Information:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;From the &lt;strong&gt;Analytics Settings&lt;/strong&gt; page, find the profile for which you will be creating goals and click &lt;strong&gt;Edit&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Select one of the four goal slots available for that profile and click &lt;strong&gt;Edit&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Enter the &lt;strong&gt;Goal URL&lt;/strong&gt;. Reaching this page marks a  successful conversion. For example, a registration confirmation page, a  checkout complete page, or a thank you page.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Enter the &lt;strong&gt;Goal name&lt;/strong&gt; as it should appear in your Google Analytics account.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Turn the goal &lt;strong&gt;On&lt;/strong&gt; or &lt;strong&gt;Off&lt;/strong&gt;. This  selection decides whether Google Analytics should track this conversion  goal at this time. Generally, you&#39;ll want to set the &lt;strong&gt;Active Goal&lt;/strong&gt; selection to &lt;strong&gt;On&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;Then, &lt;strong&gt;Define a funnel&lt;/strong&gt; by following these steps: &lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;Enter the &lt;strong&gt;URL&lt;/strong&gt; of the first page of your conversion  funnel. This page should be a page that is common to all users working  their way towards your Goal. For example, if you are tracking user flow  through your checkout pages, do not include a product page as a step in  your funnel.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Enter a &lt;strong&gt;Name&lt;/strong&gt; for this step.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If this step is a &lt;strong&gt;Required step&lt;/strong&gt; in the conversion  process, select the checkbox to the right of the step. If this checkbox  is selected, users reaching your goal page without travelling through  this funnel page will not be counted as conversions.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Continue entering goal steps until your funnel has been completely  defined. You may enter up to 10 steps, or as few as a single step.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;Finally, configure &lt;strong&gt;Additional settings&lt;/strong&gt; by following the steps below: &lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;If the URLs entered above are &lt;strong&gt;Case sensitive&lt;/strong&gt;, select the checkbox.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Enter a &lt;strong&gt;Goal value&lt;/strong&gt;. This is the value used in  Google Analytics&#39; ROI calculations, and can be either a set value for  the page, or a dynamic value pulled from your e-commerce receipt page.  If the former, enter the amount in the field; if the latter, leave this  field blank and refer to &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55528&amp;amp;hl=en&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;How do I track e-commerce transactions?&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Select a &lt;strong&gt;Match Type&lt;/strong&gt;. There are three different Match Types you may select for your goal: Exact, Head, or Regular Expression.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;strong&gt;Exact Match&lt;/strong&gt;: This option requires that the URLs  entered as your funnel and goal URLs exactly match the URLs shown in the  reports. For example, there can be no dynamic session identifiers or  query parameters. Note: If you are using an exact match for a goal (i.e.  http://domain.com/page.html), any trailing spaces will cause the goal  to be invalid. If you are using partial matching (i.e. ^/page.html),  trailing spaces are not an issue.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;strong&gt;Head Match&lt;/strong&gt;: If your website has dynamically generated  content, use the Head Match filter and leave out the unique values. For  example, if the URL for a particular user is  http://www.example.com/checkout.cgi?page=1&amp;amp;id=9982251615 but the id  varies for every other user, enter  http://www.example.com/checkout.cgi?page=1 and select Head Match as your  match type.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;strong&gt;Regular Expression Match&lt;/strong&gt;: This option uses regular  expressions to match your URLs. This is useful when the stem, trailing  parameters, or both can vary between users. For example, if a user could  be coming from one of many subdomains, and your URLs use session  identifiers, use regular expressions to define the constant element of  your URL. For example, page=1 will match  &quot;http://sports.example.com/checkout.cgi?page=1&amp;amp;id=002&quot; as well as  &quot;http://fishing.example.com/checkout.cgi?page=1&amp;amp;language=fr&amp;amp;id119.&quot;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Save Changes&lt;/strong&gt; to create this Goal and funnel, or &lt;strong&gt;Cancel&lt;/strong&gt; to exit without saving.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;0.1.1_step7&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Step 7 - Tag your advertising campaigns &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;td align=&quot;right&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_top&quot;&gt;Back to Top&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;em&gt;Note to AdWords users&lt;/em&gt;: If you&#39;ll only be tracking AdWords campaigns, &lt;strong&gt;you may skip this step&lt;/strong&gt;.  Once you&#39;ve linked your AdWords and Analytics accounts, AdWords  keywords are automatically tagged with the required tracking variables.&lt;br /&gt;
Tagging your online ads is an important prerequisite to allowing  Google Analytics to show you which marketing activities are really  paying off. &lt;em&gt;Tagging&lt;/em&gt; involves inserting and defining specific variables into the links that lead to your website.&lt;br /&gt;
Generally speaking, you need to tag all of your paid keyword links,  your banners and other ads, and the links inside your promotional email  messages, &lt;em&gt;except&lt;/em&gt; those in Google AdWords, which are  automatically tagged. Fortunately, the tagging process goes smoothly  once you understand how to differentiate your campaigns. In addition,  the &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55578&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;URL Builder&lt;/a&gt; tool makes it easy to tag your links.&lt;br /&gt;
For a full explanation of tagging your links, please read &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55518&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;How do I tag my links?&lt;/a&gt; If you&#39;d like to get started quickly, refer to the table below.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;table border=&quot;0&quot; cellpadding=&quot;5&quot; cellspacing=&quot;1&quot;&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;
&lt;tr bgcolor=&quot;#cccccc&quot; height=&quot;&quot;&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Variable&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Name&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Description&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt; &lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;tr bgcolor=&quot;#f3f3f3&quot;&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;utm_source&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;Source&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;Every referral to a web site has an origin, or &lt;em&gt;source &lt;/em&gt;.  Examples of sources are the Google search engine, the AOL search  engine, the name of a newsletter, or the name of a referring web site. &lt;/td&gt; &lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;tr bgcolor=&quot;#f3f3f3&quot;&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;utm_medium&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt; Medium&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;The &lt;em&gt;medium &lt;/em&gt; helps to qualify the  source; together, the source and medium provide specific information  about the origin of a referral. For example, in the case of a Google  search engine source, the medium might be &quot;cost-per-click&quot;, indicating a  sponsored link for which the advertiser paid, or &quot;organic&quot;, indicating a  link in the unpaid search engine results. In the case of a newsletter  source, examples of medium include &quot;email&quot; and &quot;print&quot;. &lt;/td&gt; &lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;tr bgcolor=&quot;#f3f3f3&quot;&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;utm_term&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;Term&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;The &lt;em&gt;term &lt;/em&gt; or &lt;em&gt;keyword &lt;/em&gt; is the word or phrase that a user types into a search engine. &lt;/td&gt; &lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;tr bgcolor=&quot;#f3f3f3&quot;&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;utm_content&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;Content&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;The &lt;em&gt;content &lt;/em&gt; dimension describes the version of an advertisement on which a visitor clicked. It is used in content-targeted advertising and &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55589&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;Content (A/B) Testing &lt;/a&gt; to determine which version of an advertisement is most effective at attracting profitable leads. &lt;/td&gt; &lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;tr bgcolor=&quot;#f3f3f3&quot;&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;utm_campaign&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;Campaign&lt;/td&gt; &lt;td style=&quot;padding: 5px;&quot;&gt;The &lt;em&gt;campaign &lt;/em&gt; dimension differentiates product promotions such as &quot;Spring Ski Sale&quot; or slogan campaigns such as &quot;Get Fit For Summer&quot;. &lt;/td&gt; &lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;An example URL:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;blockquote&gt; &lt;span style=&quot;font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;http://www.examplesite.com/&lt;wbr&gt;&lt;/wbr&gt;?utm_source=google&amp;amp;utm_medium=ppc &amp;amp;utm_term=exampleword &amp;amp;utm_content=campaign1 &amp;amp;utm_campaign=exampleproduct&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;table border=&quot;0&quot; cellpadding=&quot;0&quot; cellspacing=&quot;0&quot;&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;
&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;0.1.1_step8&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Step 8 - Creating Filters&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;td align=&quot;right&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_top&quot;&gt;Back to Top&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; A filter is used to include, exclude, or change the representation of certain information in a report.&lt;br /&gt;
Filters aren&#39;t required, but using them will help you define what  data you see and how you see it. Since filters affect the way data is  displayed in your reports, it is important to get them set up as soon as  possible. Filters added after your account begins collecting data will  not affect your old data.&lt;br /&gt;
You&#39;ll want to create filters if:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;you want to see reports for a certain subdomain or subdirectory only&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;you&#39;d like to exclude traffic from certain people or places&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;your dynamic parameters would be more easily readable as descriptive text strings&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;There are a number of other reasons that you may want filters, but if  none of these apply to you, you can safely skip ahead to the next step.&lt;br /&gt;
A filter consists of:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;name&lt;/strong&gt; of the filter&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;type&lt;/strong&gt; of filter you would like to implement&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;filter field&lt;/strong&gt; that is affected. More information about these fields is available from our Help Center: &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55588&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;What information do the filter fields represent?&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;filter pattern&lt;/strong&gt; is the string that will be  matched against the filter field. This field uses regular expressions, a  special syntax that uses wildcards and text strings for matching.  Please read &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55582&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;What are regular expressions?&lt;/a&gt; for instructions and tips.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;To create a filter:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;Click the &lt;strong&gt;Filter Manager&lt;/strong&gt; link from the &lt;strong&gt;Analytics Settings&lt;/strong&gt; page.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Add Filter&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Filter Types&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Analytics provides three predefined filters, useful for common tasks, as well as a number of custom filters.&lt;br /&gt;
Predefined filters:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Exclude all clicks from a domain (hostname):&lt;/strong&gt; use this filter to exclude clicks that originate from a specific network, such as your internal work network.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Exclude all clicks from an IP address:&lt;/strong&gt; this filter works to exclude clicks from certain sources. You can enter a single IP address, or a range of addresses&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Include only traffic from a subdirectory:&lt;/strong&gt; use this filter if you want a profile to report only on a particular subdirectory (such as &lt;strong&gt;www.example.com/motorcycles&lt;/strong&gt;)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;Custom filters:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Exclude Pattern:&lt;/strong&gt; This type of filter excludes log  file lines (hits) that match the Filter Pattern. Matching lines are  ignored in their entirety; for example, a filter that excludes Netscape  will also exclude all other information in that log line, such as  visitor, path, referral, and domain information.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Include Pattern:&lt;/strong&gt; This type of filter includes log  file lines (hits) that match the Filter Pattern. All non-matching hits  will be ignored and any data in non-matching hits is unavailable to the  Urchin reports.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Search &amp;amp; Replace:&lt;/strong&gt; This is a simple filter that  can be used to search for a pattern within a field and replace the found  pattern with an alternate form.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Lookup Table:&lt;/strong&gt; Selecting this filter allows you to  select a lookup table name which may be used to map codes to human  intelligible labels. For example, the phone models table maps  abbreviated phone platform identifiers to the model and manufacturer  names for phone based web browsers.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Advanced:&lt;/strong&gt; This type of filter allows you to build a  field from one or two other fields. The filtering engine will apply the  expressions in the two Extract fields to the specified fields and then  construct a field using the Constructor expression. Read the Advanced  Filters article for more information.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Uppercase / Lowercase&lt;/strong&gt;: Converts the contents of the  field into all uppercase or all lowercase characters. These filters  only affect letters, and will not affect characters or numbers.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Common uses&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Report traffic to a subdomain only&lt;/strong&gt; - If you have  your tracking code on your entire domain, but would like to view reports  about a particular subdomain on their own, you can create a filter to  include only traffic to your subdomain.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Filter Type:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span style=&quot;font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;Custom filter &amp;gt; Include&lt;/span&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Filter Field:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span style=&quot;font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;Hostname&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Filter Pattern:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span style=&quot;font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;subdomain\.example\.com&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Case Sensitive:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span style=&quot;font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;No&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
This will exclude all traffic that is not on the domain &lt;strong&gt;subdomain.example.com&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Exclude internal IP addresses&lt;/strong&gt; - If you&#39;d like to  exclude traffic from internal IP addresses, so that your own visits and  those of your employees don&#39;t show up in your reports, enter your IP  address in the filter below. You can also filter out a range of  addresses, as in the second example. Remember to use &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55582&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;regular expressions&lt;/a&gt; in the IP Address field.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Filter Type:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span style=&quot;font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;Exclude all traffic from an IP address&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;IP Address:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span style=&quot;font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;99\.999\.999\.9&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Or, to filter a range of &lt;strong&gt;192.168.1.1&lt;/strong&gt; to &lt;strong&gt;192.168.125:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Filter Type:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span style=&quot;font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;Exclude all traffic from an IP address&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;IP Address:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span style=&quot;font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;^192\.168\.1\.([1-9]|[1-9][0-9 ]|1[01][0-9]|12[0-5])$ &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;table border=&quot;0&quot; cellpadding=&quot;0&quot; cellspacing=&quot;0&quot;&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;
&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;0.1.1_step9&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Step 9 - Grant access to other users &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;td align=&quot;right&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_top&quot;&gt;Back to Top&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; Google Analytics provides the ability to add any number of users to  your account, and to grant varying levels of access to your reports..&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Granting profile access&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
To allow access to another user, follow the instructions below. Please note that additional users will need to create a free &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/accounts&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;Google Account&lt;/a&gt; in order to be granted access.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;User Manager&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Add&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Enter the user&#39;s email address, last name, and first name.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Select the &lt;strong&gt;User Type&lt;/strong&gt; for this user: &lt;strong&gt;View reports only&lt;/strong&gt;, or &lt;strong&gt;Account Administrator&lt;/strong&gt;, which allows the user to edit account settings.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If you selected &lt;strong&gt;View reports only&lt;/strong&gt;, select the  profiles to which this user should have access (note that Account Admins  have access to all profiles). Reports for profiles that are not  selected will not be available to this user.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Add&lt;/strong&gt; to move these profiles into the &lt;em&gt;Selected Website Profiles&lt;/em&gt; list.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Finish&lt;/strong&gt; to create the new user.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;table border=&quot;0&quot; cellpadding=&quot;0&quot; cellspacing=&quot;0&quot;&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;
&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;&quot; name=&quot;0.1.1_step10&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Step 10 - Enable e-commerce transaction tracking&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;td align=&quot;right&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=66983#0.1.1_top&quot;&gt;Back to Top&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;
&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; With some simple additions to your receipt page, Google Analytics can  automatically detect and record transaction and product information.  The required information is placed into a hidden form which is parsed  for transaction and product information. Most template driven e-commerce  systems can be modified to include this information in the receipt.&lt;br /&gt;
You&#39;ll also need to enable e-commerce reporting for your website&#39;s profile:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;From the &lt;strong&gt;Analytics Settings&lt;/strong&gt; page, click &lt;strong&gt;Edit&lt;/strong&gt; next to the profile you would like to enable.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Edit&lt;/strong&gt; from the Main Website Profile Information box&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Change the E-commerce Website radio button from &lt;strong&gt;No&lt;/strong&gt; to &lt;strong&gt;Yes&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Writing the required information&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Somewhere in the receipt, below the tracking code, the following  lines need to be written by your engine. Everything in brackets should  be replaced by actual values, as described in &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55528&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;How do I track e-commerce transactions?&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;span style=&quot;color: #666666; font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt; &amp;lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot;&amp;gt;
var gaJsHost = ((&quot;https:&quot; == document.location.protocol) ? &quot;https://ssl.&quot; : &quot;http://www.&quot;);
document.write(unescape(&quot;%3Cscript src=&#39;&quot; + gaJsHost + &quot;google-analytics.com/ga.js&#39; type=&#39;text/javascript&#39;%3E%3C/script%3E&quot;));
&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;
&lt;/span&gt;
&lt;span style=&quot;color: #666666; font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;&amp;lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot;&amp;gt;
try {
var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker(&quot;UA-xxxxxx-x&quot;);
; pageTracker._addTrans(
&quot;1234&quot;, // Order ID
&quot;Mountain View&quot;, // Affiliation
&quot;11.99&quot;, // Total
&quot;1.29&quot;, // Tax
&quot;5&quot;, // Shipping
&quot;San Jose&quot;, // City
&quot;California&quot;, // State
&quot;USA&quot; // Country
); &lt;/span&gt;
&lt;span style=&quot;color: #666666; font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;&quot;&gt;pageTracker._addItem(

&quot;DD44&quot;, // SKU
&quot;T-Shirt&quot;, // Product Name
&quot;Green Medium&quot;, // Category
&quot;11.99&quot;, // Price
&quot;1&quot; // Quantity
);
pageTracker._trackTrans();
} catch(err) {}
&amp;lt;/script&amp;gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;Refer to &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55528&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;How do I track e-commerce transactions?&lt;/a&gt; for further instructions on writing transaction information to your receipt pages.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;More information&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Tracking transactions across domains and subdomains&lt;/strong&gt; - If you are tracking transactions that occur on a different domain or subdomain than your main site, read &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55532&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;How do I use Google Analytics to track a 3rd-party shopping cart?&lt;/a&gt; for instructions on updating your tracking code.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;3rd party shopping cart compatability&lt;/strong&gt; - Google  Analytics uses 1st party cookie technology to track visitors and  generate reports. 1st party cookies require that the JavaScript code be  called from each web page to avoid breaching the security settings in  your visitors&#39; web browsers. If you can edit the source code of your  shopping cart site and add the Google Analytics tracking code, you&#39;ll be  able to use it with Google Analytics.&lt;br /&gt;

With great  features, increased reliability, Google Analytis is a service worth the  attention of the webmaster.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Google Analytics interface consists of two parts:&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;Analytics Settings&lt;/i&gt;: To manage the list of sites.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;View Reports&lt;/i&gt;: To receive reports from the monitoring site.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You click on each item to use, web page response fairly quickly.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div style=&quot;font-family: inherit;&quot;&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style=&quot;font-size: x-small;&quot;&gt;Sign up and use&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;The registration and use is simple. You just address &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/analytics&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; style=&quot;font-family: &amp;quot;Courier New&amp;quot;,Courier,monospace;&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;www.google.com / analytics&lt;/a&gt;  and sign in with your Google account. Once logged, Google Analytics  interface will appear. If you have not set up a Web site tracking, you  click on the link &lt;i&gt;Add Website Profile&lt;/i&gt; in table &lt;i&gt;Website profile&lt;/i&gt; to start.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
First, you need to declare the site should be monitored. Under &lt;i&gt;Choose Website Profile Type&lt;/i&gt; you choose &lt;i&gt;Add a Profile for a New Domain&lt;/i&gt; to create a new website profile, or select &lt;i&gt;Profile for an existing domain&lt;/i&gt; old profile to edit from the front. Category &lt;i&gt;Add a Profile for a New Domain&lt;/i&gt;, You enter your website domain name. If you set up from the previous track, you just press the button &lt;i&gt;Finish&lt;/i&gt; to finish and get code from Google Analytics. If the first time, you will have to declare some personal information again.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On  the website, you also need to copy the code from Google Analytics and  Body card inserted into the rear of each site if it is made of HTML.  With dynamic pages, you simply insert into the template of the site  only.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Website tracking&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
After following the steps above, your site is ready to be monitored. In part &lt;i&gt;Analytics Settings&lt;/i&gt; click on the name you need to track website in Website Profiles section.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
At the interface of the items &lt;i&gt;View Reports&lt;/i&gt;  you will see left-hand side are listed the types of monitoring, the  right hand side is a table detailing each item displayed. Details are  presented as charts or tables is very intuitive. You can click on each  item to view the parameters. You can see the number of visitors, number  of new visitors, number of people find your website in search engines,  the keywords used most often to find your site, etc. .. Beneath each  section also has a track Help (in English) is easy to help you make the  most of Google Analytics. In addition, you can review the parameters of  previous days by clicking on the date to view the item &lt;i&gt;Date Range&lt;/i&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
To  print the track, you click on the printer icon on the toolbar of each  section for details. There are also three icons help you to export the  information into the files in text format is 3 txt, xml, xls.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Setting up filters&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
In  addition to useful features, Google also gives you a tool to help  filter the information before release for your review. To use this  feature, at the interface, please click on the Analytics Settings &lt;i&gt;Filter Manager&lt;/i&gt;. Here you will find a list of filters that you have set. If not set any filter, you click &lt;i&gt;Add Filter&lt;/i&gt; to establish a new filter. Under &lt;i&gt;Add Filter&lt;/i&gt;You select the filter name, type filter (Filter Type) and the website you want to set the filter.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Google gives you a lot of useful filter types, here is an overview of each filter:&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;Exclude all traffic from a domain&lt;/i&gt;: Use this filter to not receive access from a certain address, such as an ISP.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;Exclude all traffic from an IP address&lt;/i&gt;: This filter will eliminate all access from a certain IP address.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;Include only traffic to a subdirectory&lt;/i&gt;: This filter will help you get information from a subdomain of the website.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There are also items &lt;i&gt;Custom Filter&lt;/i&gt; helps you to customize your own filters:&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;Exclude&lt;/i&gt;: This section helps you eliminate not track an item.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;Include&lt;/i&gt;: Only receive information in a certain section and skip the other sections.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;Lowercase&lt;/i&gt;: Lowercase filter.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;Upcase&lt;/i&gt;: Uppercase filter.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;Search and Replace&lt;/i&gt;: Search and replace string in the directory.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;Lookup Table&lt;/i&gt;: This item is not usable.&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;i&gt;Advanced&lt;/i&gt;: This section allows you to customize a filter type which is suitable for the job itself.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class=&quot;separator&quot; style=&quot;clear: both; text-align: center;&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp9Eo9P6IBiKqrXfZn0iDPPydsCKyGSmJX9Kbx9FOvD0RVTChkfEL5a_9cqBkcXo6-FZAxITgEZeQkdjeH2ET4I1XZR8-PJ0AuwyIMOSEvYGBk1oa4MszySLFsyouigotIgTmScY_iOlY/s1600-h/Google+Analytics.png&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot; style=&quot;margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;&lt;img border=&quot;0&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp9Eo9P6IBiKqrXfZn0iDPPydsCKyGSmJX9Kbx9FOvD0RVTChkfEL5a_9cqBkcXo6-FZAxITgEZeQkdjeH2ET4I1XZR8-PJ0AuwyIMOSEvYGBk1oa4MszySLFsyouigotIgTmScY_iOlY/s400/Google+Analytics.png&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

When I finished building my blog, I&#39;ve placed the  Google ad block, but then one time I remove Google ads from my blog by  two reasons:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
First: &quot;Content is King - Content is the King&quot;, this  is a long term strategy I applied for my blog. Therefore I have removed  the Google ads and decided to develop content for blogs and find ways  to promote it before thinking about making money from it.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Monday:  Because not many people know what traffic is low and should certainly  not highly effective. In place for nearly a month block Google ads, I  earn only 9USD, but most of that money brought back from referring users  download the toolbar from Firefox and Google search. Because efficiency  is not high, it&#39;s more slow loading speed of my blog so I decided to  remove the blog from Google AdSense.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After removing Google  AdSense, I worked hard to write and write and promote your blog in many  places, many large forums in hopes they will help Pagerank Google will  visit my blog frequently and index many more. But the result is not what  I expected.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This is the chart shows how often you visit to Google&#39;s bot indexed for blogs:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Before  removing from Google AdSense blog, the page number on my blog indexed  by Google is much more than the other search engines. But now, the  search engine the other indexes my blog more detail you can see results  in 3 major search engines on the Internet are Yahoo, AlltheWeb and  Altavista. They were mostly indexed to every corner of my blog.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Left  Google, why? The result is increasingly getting worse, not only do not  visit as often as longer place ads, not only does not add an index page  for my blog but even more on the number of pages in my blog in Google&#39;s  index shrinking.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
During the search process for the development  blog, I&#39;ve tried many times and change keyword Title and description  meta tags to blog in hope to find a title and some keyword optimization  for your blog . I think that this is one of the causes disorientation  when Google index my blog. What about other causes?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
While Google  has increasingly reduced levels of regular visits and indexes blog,  Yahoo, AlltheWeb and Altavista are growing and mostly they do not skip  any corners on my blog. Therefore I think is also another reason Google  made fewer visits to my blog, and I thought it was caused by my blog  removed from Google AdSense.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Why do I put such assumptions?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
First,  comparison chart clearly shows that Google has at least visit my blog  more often after I remove AdSense. This is obviously the fact that I  saw.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Monday: The children of Google AdSense Bot and are sure to  have a relationship with each other. Make sure that the keywords to  display your AdSense ads will be taken from the data by this Bot  collected. Not stupid, but Google has developed two systems collect  different information for Google Search and Google AdSense as this is  very expensive and very wasteful. Just make sure they have a database to  use for both Google Search and Google AdSense. Bot will help you gather  information about the site to use AdSense and AdSense will help reverse  the Bot regular operations and more effective. So I think to remove the  AdSense ad block is a mistake.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Tuesday: I think Google will care  and pay more attention to the site can put their ads. Because of  websites and blogs in particular are growing like mushrooms should be  asking Google to visit often as it used to be impossible. And we see is  the actual extent of visiting the small Sie Google Bot fewer children  and extra travel. We all acknowledge that Google brings purpose  community is great, but they must because of them. Therefore they must  pay more attention the site has put their ads, it is also optimized for  their profit.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
For this reason, I suggested: &quot;Put AdSense ads on a site visit and will help Google index your site more often and better.&quot;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This  could be a new discovery of mine, but can also be a knowledge of old  people have long known that I do not know. This may be true but also  could be wrong, simply because that&#39;s just assume for a personal event  that is not widely tested. So I hope you all to review and comment on  the subject.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
And to clarify this assumption, I continue to put Google AdSense ads on his blog to verify.</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/feeds/4928842485796353528/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/google-adsense-help-index-site-better.html#comment-form' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/4928842485796353528'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/4928842485796353528'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/google-adsense-help-index-site-better.html' title='Google AdSense Help index site better?'/><author><name>Dinh Thi Lan Anh</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/11499263392334330616</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='https://img1.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6746956919510739785.post-1742032499632492723</id><published>2011-02-12T18:02:00.000+07:00</published><updated>2011-02-12T18:02:13.986+07:00</updated><category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="WordPress SEO"/><title type='text'>How to Remove Date From Meta Descriptions in WordPress</title><content type='html'>Since I’ve changed my wordpress theme, I noticed that dates were  being added in front of my meta descriptions in Google Search engine  results page. Obviously, I first checked my source code as I thought it  was my mistake, although all descriptions have been optimised correctly.  I also thought that maybe those descriptions were too short/ long –  that was not the case either…&lt;br /&gt;
Showing date in front of meta descriptions has its pros and cons though.  When you update your blog very often (even a few times a day) and if  you write news related posts, it is pretty useful from user perspective  to know when the post was written. However, if you don’t write very  often (like myself) and you cover non-news related content, showing the  post date in SERP, can actually harm your Click Through Rate (CRT):  First of all, the content is (usually) not fresh, secondly it does not  look appealing. Therefore, I’ve decided to remove date from meta  descriptions.&lt;br /&gt;
There are many different opinions how Google actually gathers those  dates. Some of us say it is from RSS feeds or sitemaps, which might be  true, although in my case the dates were taken from my blog posts.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;Remove Date From Meta Descriptions- a simple solution&lt;/h2&gt;When I looked into source code in single.php, I noticed that  automatically generated date has been included in a single div in the  HTML header, just under the title, as below:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;&amp;lt;div class=”post-meta-data”&amp;gt; Added &amp;lt;?php the_time(‘M j, Y’);?&amp;gt;, Under: &amp;lt;?php the_category(‘,’)?&amp;gt;&amp;lt;/div&amp;gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
So what to do with this piece of annoying little code…&lt;br /&gt;
Google is not able to read pictures nor some javascripts, so if I  don’t want Google to read the date, let’s put it into javascript and the  job should done (at least for awhile).&lt;br /&gt;
Here is how I dealt with it:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;&amp;lt;div class=”post-meta-data”&amp;gt; Added &amp;lt;script  language=”javascript” type=”text/javascript”&amp;gt;  document.write(‘&amp;lt;?php the_time(‘j’) ?&amp;gt;’); &amp;lt;/script&amp;gt; &amp;lt;?php  the_time(‘M Y’) ?&amp;gt; , Under: &amp;lt;?php the_category(‘,’)?&amp;gt;  &amp;lt;/div&amp;gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
after which I resubmitted Sitemap.&lt;br /&gt;
When Google started crawling my pages and caching their new versions,  viola! The dates for my posts Were GONE! Happy days:) (as I could not  sleep because of that!)</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/feeds/1742032499632492723/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-to-remove-date-from-meta.html#comment-form' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/1742032499632492723'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/1742032499632492723'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-to-remove-date-from-meta.html' title='How to Remove Date From Meta Descriptions in WordPress'/><author><name>Dinh Thi Lan Anh</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/11499263392334330616</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='https://img1.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6746956919510739785.post-6693592478704237075</id><published>2011-02-12T17:56:00.002+07:00</published><updated>2011-02-12T17:56:56.470+07:00</updated><category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="WordPress SEO"/><category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="WordPress-seo"/><title type='text'>Remove ‘Category Base’ From Permalinks</title><content type='html'>It can be a very frustrating issue and I know that many bloggers have  problem with it… I am talking about inability to remove the ‘Category  Base’ from the url permalink structure. From my experience it is a quite  serious problem when optimising WordPress. Worry not. Mags will show  you how to fix it…;) (God bless you!!!-Filipe Fortes!!:)&lt;br /&gt;
Quick installation of Top Level Categories plug-in:&lt;br /&gt;
1. Log-in to your wordpress account&lt;br /&gt;
2. Go to Add new Plug-in&lt;br /&gt;
3. Click Top Level Categories and search for it&lt;br /&gt;
4. Install and activate it and that’s it!&lt;br /&gt;
It will automatically remove ‘category base’ from your URL, so Google can crawl deeper into your website…&lt;br /&gt;
By the way, I just checked- Matt Cutts, Google Guru;), didn’t delete  categories from the URLs on his main blog (!) (he uses ‘type’ instead)&lt;br /&gt;

In most cases these  people first become overwhelmed by the number of new terms and  information. Usually they become bombarded by offers and spam messages  from people who call themselves &lt;b&gt;SEO experts&lt;/b&gt; and offer tremendous  results within short time. In order not to waste your time and money on a  service with doubtful quality, read this article first.&lt;br /&gt;
Let&#39;s start with several questions to people who are new &lt;b&gt;businesses&lt;/b&gt;. What do you expect from &lt;b&gt;SEO&lt;/b&gt;? Do you want to use it because you want to see your website on the top page of &lt;b&gt;search engine listings&lt;/b&gt;?  Or would you like to know what people want and seek in products like  yours and want to apply SEO because it&#39;s known as a mirror of people  searches? &lt;br /&gt;
If your primary aim is to become #1 in your field, think again prior to starting. Today &lt;b&gt;search engines&lt;/b&gt;  use complicated algorithms that involve multiple factors and it is, in  true, unlikely for any new business to become high rated by search  engine within short period of time. You will have to wait and, maybe,  you will have to wait for a long time. Are you prepared for this?&lt;br /&gt;
I may suggest you have seen so many &quot;super offers&quot; that promise to  make your website popular and &quot;defeat Google&quot;, but believe me, these are  nothing but marketing tricks that have one aim – make you open your  wallet and pay. If you purchase one of such programs, most probably the  only thing you get will be some basic &lt;b&gt;SEO knowledge&lt;/b&gt; that can be accessed online for free and, maybe, a couple of tricks got from blogs devoted to SEO. &lt;br /&gt;
In general these &quot;super programs&quot; are nothing but a waste of money.  Search engines like Google have crews of talented programmers who work  on the same problem – how to make sophisticated &lt;b&gt;search algorithms&lt;/b&gt; and better crawl websites. Even if some individual programmer finds out a &quot;gap&quot;, it will be closed pretty soon.&lt;br /&gt;
So you may wonder there&#39;s no way to become top ranked within short  time. No, there&#39;s one way and it implies spending money. This means you  should participate in paid listings. Sign up for Google AdWords program,  select your keywords, set up highest winning bid and your website will  appear at the very top and in right column of search results that  include your &lt;b&gt;keywords&lt;/b&gt;. It sounds simple, but there are several problems that must be mentioned. &lt;br /&gt;
First, not all businessmen have sufficient funds for such Internet campaigns. If you just start your &lt;b&gt;business online&lt;/b&gt;,  most probably you&#39;re ready to spend some cash, but you&#39;d like to escape  serious investments. Second – people who use Google often know where  paid advertisements are located and they expect to see paid service or  product there. That is why people usually prefer clicking the results of  organic search first.  &lt;br /&gt;
So now let&#39;s move back to the question posted below. &lt;b&gt;SEO&lt;/b&gt; is  really important for new businesses because this is the only way to make  search engine pay attention to things you offer and they may be pretty  close to the products wanted by your potential customers. &lt;br /&gt;
The points that will be important for beginners:&lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;b&gt;Proper keywords&lt;/b&gt;. Find out what people type in their search  engine bars when they try to find a product similar to the one you  offer. Make sure you use these keywords in your content and most  important one is present in your domain name and titles. &lt;br /&gt;
- Check your &lt;b&gt;sitemap&lt;/b&gt;. It should be well-organized and provide error free data. Check inner linking system. It should be simple, but effective.&lt;br /&gt;
- Someone has told famous &quot;&lt;b&gt;content is king&lt;/b&gt;&quot;. Today this phrase is  still very true. Content rich in keywords wins. Do not turn your  website into a bare price list. Each product should have a description  between 300-700 symbols. Note images are good for people, but search  engine robots cannot index information on pictures, so try to create a  combination between images and text. &lt;br /&gt;
- &lt;b&gt;Incoming links&lt;/b&gt; and &lt;b&gt;outcoming links&lt;/b&gt;. When you post links  to other websites, be careful. Post links wisely and preferably to  related websites. Avoid numerous links to unrelated ones as this may  cause lowering in the rank. In worst case your website can be considered  as spam by Google.</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/feeds/764180969362079337/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/first-steps-in-seo.html#comment-form' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/764180969362079337'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/764180969362079337'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/first-steps-in-seo.html' title='First Steps in SEO'/><author><name>Dinh Thi Lan Anh</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/11499263392334330616</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='https://img1.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6746956919510739785.post-3866079588444031253</id><published>2011-02-11T19:07:00.000+07:00</published><updated>2011-02-11T19:07:30.861+07:00</updated><category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="seo"/><category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="seo tip"/><title type='text'>How to Improve Google Page Rank and Alexa Ranking</title><content type='html'>&lt;div id=&quot;intelliTxt&quot;&gt;There&#39;s an art  to making your website easier to find by search engines. Well, your primary goals in the &lt;b&gt;SEO&lt;/b&gt; are to boost your web sites position in the &lt;i&gt;search engine results&lt;/i&gt; pages and raise web site traffic. &lt;br /&gt;
Google &lt;b&gt;Page rank&lt;/b&gt; presents how significant your web site is compared to other web sites and &lt;i&gt;Alexa Rank&lt;/i&gt; is how many people gets in relation to other web sites on the Internet. You are aiming to obtain a high &lt;b&gt;Google PR&lt;/b&gt; and a low &lt;i&gt;Alexa Rank&lt;/i&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;What is Google PageRank?&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;b&gt;Google Page Rank&lt;/b&gt; is a tool designed to rank a web site that is listed in the &lt;i&gt;Google index&lt;/i&gt;. A Page rank of a web page is given on a scale of 0-10. 0 is the lowest possible score for a web site and 10 is the highest . &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;High Page rank&lt;/b&gt; is defined by the amount, relevance and  importance of webpages which link to the webpage. When a webpage links  to other webpage, Google believe that to be a vote for the page. There  is a formula related to how Page Rank is. If you are interested in the  theory of the &lt;b&gt;PageRank&lt;/b&gt;  then a quick exploration on Google will provide productive.&lt;br /&gt;
Current &lt;b&gt;PR&lt;/b&gt; is updated very often. It is really updated much more frequently than &lt;i&gt;PR toolbar&lt;/i&gt;. Many people believe that when the toolbar PR updates their websites will either gain or lose visitors. It is not true.&lt;br /&gt;
Only algorithm updates will increase or decrease your web site  visitors, which are done just about every day. The algorithm is the  utterly complicated formula which &lt;i&gt;Google&lt;/i&gt; uses to rank Web site pages.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;What is the Alexa Rank?&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;b&gt;Alexa Rank&lt;/b&gt; is different to &lt;i&gt;Google PageRank&lt;/i&gt;. Alexa rank based solely on to the web site. &lt;i&gt;Alexa rank&lt;/i&gt; is based in descending order towards 1, where highly visited web site is given a rank of 1. &lt;b&gt;Alexa Rankings&lt;/b&gt; differ from 1 to a billion. All websites in the world are included in the Alexa Rank, so &lt;i&gt;Alexa ranking&lt;/i&gt; is continually varying in relation to other web sites.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Alexa traffic ranking&lt;/b&gt; has an image for being inexact. But, commonly a Web site with an &lt;i&gt;Alexa traffic&lt;/i&gt; ranking of 100,000 or less gets good &lt;b&gt;traffic&lt;/b&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;How can you improve your Google PageRank?&lt;/h2&gt;1. Create search engine optimized website. Your website must be complete of worth. Try for a &lt;b&gt;keyword density&lt;/b&gt; of 3-7% and make certain that all keywords and content are relative to your website’s idea.&lt;br /&gt;
2. Use &lt;b&gt;META&lt;/b&gt; and &lt;i&gt;title&lt;/i&gt; tags properly. One of the largest  factors in SEO are META and title tags. You should make sure that title  tag is accurate and that the &lt;i&gt;META tag&lt;/i&gt; describes your website well.&lt;br /&gt;
3. Submit your site to the &lt;b&gt;Google sitemap&lt;/b&gt;. Do so when the website is fulfilled.&lt;br /&gt;
4. Build targeted traffic to your website.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h2&gt;How can you improve your Alexa Rank?&lt;/h2&gt;All you need to do is pick up your &lt;i&gt;traffic&lt;/i&gt; to your website. Do not go for submission to 450,000 search engines, this is the worst thing you can do. Participate in many &lt;b&gt;webmaster forums&lt;/b&gt; which let you put your web site in your signature. Web masters often have the &lt;i&gt;Alexa toolbar&lt;/i&gt; installed</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/feeds/5913910607357997067/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/analyzing-google-page-rank-and-alexa.html#comment-form' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/5913910607357997067'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6746956919510739785/posts/default/5913910607357997067'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://seo-ho.blogspot.com/2011/02/analyzing-google-page-rank-and-alexa.html' title='Analyzing Google Page Rank And Alexa Rank'/><author><name>Dinh Thi Lan Anh</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/11499263392334330616</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='https://img1.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6746956919510739785.post-2582426493109139585</id><published>2011-02-10T22:14:00.000+07:00</published><updated>2011-02-10T22:14:04.127+07:00</updated><category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="seo"/><category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="seo tip"/><title type='text'>SEO And How Keywords Play A Vital Role</title><content type='html'>When a website owners wants to approach peculiarity trade upon his website, afterwards there is zero most some-more in effect than keywords.
