Umrah Ziarah Spring 2011-Madinah Al Munawwarah

Alamak,i'm still suffering from 'different time zone' symptome! - tido siang,celik malam.Orait,suddenly,my mood to blogging turn on,some people had suggested me to write about travelling experience,i feel like sharing wf u people about my experience while doing my very first pilgrimage travel to Madinah and Mekah during the last Easter Break.It was an ultimate dream come true experience.I will never forget for the rest of my life.Though I was in a really tight budget,I feel so blessed and thankful to Allah for being granted a chance to be His guest to the Holy land of Mecca and Madinah.I was overwhelmed with a bliss and serene feeling throughout my journey from the beginnings till the end,Alhamdulillah,Alhamdulillah,Alhamdulillah everthing happened in the way it was meant to be.

When I was in Jeddah Airport for the first time,I really can't believe my eyes ! overlooking through the planes window ,the airport was perfectly laid in the middle of sandy-dessert like- land.Alhamdulillah,I was finally there at my dream destination.I recalled myself suggesting a good friend of mine few month before about my wish to do umrah instead of spending my allowance for vacations.Since I study in the UK,i'd spent most of my money and time to travel around Europe including Spain,France,Ireland,Norway,Sweden,Bulgaria,Turkey and Greece but i'd never been to Mecca,the holy land for all Muslims.Alhamdulillah,i'd finally accomplished my wish to cleanse my soul and be a better person in His eyes,iA.

I was due to fly off to Saudi Arabia with about 30 other fellow Malaysian students on 17th April 2011 from London Heathrow and transit for 5 hours at Cairo,Egypt before continuing our journey to King Abdulaziz International Airport,Jeddah,Saudi Arabia.We boarded the new Egyptair MS667 Boeing 737-800 aircraft and landed at the first destination safely.Initially,I was quite worry to fly using Egyptair and transit in Cairo -everyone know Hosni Mubarrak right? and where all the riots and the middle east revolutionary movement take place last few months before right?.Alhamdulillah,everything was perfectly fine.My umrah visa application was done by agent in Malaysia and I was paired with an unknown 'synthetic' mahram for immigration purpose.When it was the time to board our 2nd flight to Jeddah from Cairo,I was stopped by the steward ,he asked about my mahram,since my 'synthetic' mahram had left me behind and i was denied boarding until he was called to stand by me,and only then I was allowed to board the aircraft.On board of the flight,I could see quite a lot of mens who already in their ihram.Anyway,the entire cost for this package is about 845pound,full board from LHR.

Upon arrival at Jeddah,we had to pass through the immigration,and again you know you have to be with your mahram to pass the immigration,since almost all of us are still single,we have to be prepared to ask all the questions.Alhamdulillah,the immigration officer did'nt ask anything weird,everything went well.We left for Madinah on the same day and arrive at around 9pm.At Madinah,we were welcomed by Ustaz Halim from Hajiumrah.com which will guide us throughout our pilgrimage journey.We checked in to Andalusia Hotel which is situated within walking distance to the Prophet's mosque which is also known as 'Nabawi Mosque'.It is the second holiest mosque after Masjidilharam which is situated in Mecca.There was a hadith narrated by the prophets about the benefits of praying in 'Nabawi mosque' which is 1000 times better than praying in any other mosque.

After cleaning ourselved and had dinner,we visited the 'Nabawi Mosque' for the first time and visited 'Maqam Nabi' and give salams to our prophet Nabi Muhammad S.A.W and his companions.

The 'Nabawi Mosque' is strictly guarded with security.No camera are allowed to be brought into the mosque.The internal features of the mosque is really amazing and it is fully air-conditioned,it is really comfortble though it is often packed with people.I felt so calmed to be inside the mosque and can't barely moved my feet to leave the mosque once I enter it.

One of the main attraction in 'Nabawi Mosque' is the 'Ar-Rawdah' which is considered as part of the heaven.It is a small area which take place in between of the tombs of the Prophets to his pulpits. We were told that, womens are only allowed to enter Rawdah at three different times after Subuh,after Dzuhr and after Isya.It was too late that night and i did'nt make it to visit 'Ar-Rawdah'.Throughout my 5 days stay in Madinah,I managed to enter the 'Ar-Rawdah' 3 times after waiting for so long.It was so crowded where everyone will really fight to be in it.It was not easy to enter the place since it is quite limited in space and thousands of people try to fit in it at one time.There was a system where Asians are seperated from all other races due to our small figures and for safety purpose.Alhamdulillah,once we were called to enter the 'Ar-Rawdah' there was such an undescriable excitement triggering in me where i could not wait to enter it.Once my entire body was in the green carpet area,there was a mixed feeling when I really wanna cry,not believing I was really in 'Ar-Rawdhah',deliver salams to Prophets and companions,do sunnah prayer and prays and ask for forgiveness and protections from slanderous of the World,the Akhirat,Barzakh and Al-Masih Dajjal.

The next day, we woke up early for ziarah Madinah.The first thing is the morning,is to take ablutions and visit 'Quba' Mosque.'Quba' Mosque' is the first mosque built by Muslims upon pilgrimage from Mecca to Madinah.It was built on the basis of 'Taqwa' where it plays a significant roles in the expansion of Islamic civilization in madinah.Ustaz told us that,to be in ablutions from home and do 2 rakaah prayers at this mosque is equivalent to do 'one umrah'.Therefore,we gonna pray at this mosque everyday for supplications of our pilgrimage.

There are a lot of mosques we visited in Madinah,but i did'nt took much pictures of all of them.One of them is known as "Al Qiblatain Mosque" which also mean 'The Mosque with two Qiblas'.In Islamic history,this is the place where Prophets Muhammad S.A.W received commanded from Allah S.W.T to change the direction of Qibla from 'Masjidil Aqsa' in Palestine to 'Masjidilharam' in Mecca.Other mosques that we'd visited including 'Masjid 7' and a few mosques in front of my hotel.

Other famous itinery for 'Ziarah Madinah' including the visit to Uhud Hill and the tombs of Uhud martyrs, dates farm and market,Quran factory,'Magnet Field demo' and a desert leisure park.I din buy much things except the famous 'Ajwa Dates' and 4 set of Quran

Al Baqi cemetry

On the last evening in Madinah,we visited the Al-Baqi' cemetry which is also known as 'Jannatul Baqi' The Garden of Heaven.Since women are not allowed to enter the cemetry,we went up to the top of the nearest apartment to identified the coordinates of the many tombs in the cemetry which enclosed the Uthman bin Affan's,all the prophet's wives except Khadijah Binti Khuwailid and Maimunah Binti Al-Harith and many others notable figures.

Ku harapkan Ramadhan kali ini penuh makna..

Selamat Mencari Lailatul Qadar :)

Alhamdulillah,pada tahun ini merasalah juga pengalaman berpuasa buat pertama kali di Belfast.

Pengalaman yang ada itu cukup membuka mata sebagai bekalan peringatan buat diri sendiri yang lemah ini.

"Bak kata orang hujan emas di negeri orang,hujan batu di negeri sendiri,lebih baik di negeri sendiri."

Mungkin sedikit sebanyak ada benarnya pepatah tersebut,dan mungkin juga tidak kurang benar.

Kebaikan yang dirasakan semasa berpuasa di rantauan ialah diri ini terasa lebih sayu dan lebih merasakan manisnya Ramadhan itu.Walaupun berpuasa hampir 17jam sehari,namun semangat berpuasa itu sangat tebal.Cuaca yang dingin membuatkan tubuh kurang berasa penat dan kuat untuk bekerja dan berpuasa sehingga matahari terbenam.Memandangkan masyarakat tempatan di Belfast rata-ratanya tidak mengetahui tentang Ramadhan,golongan minoriti seperti kami tidak pula merasa tertekan dengan suasana masyarakat sekeliling yang tidak berpuasa.Rutin harian dimulakan dengan bersahur seawal 3-3.30 pagi diiringi dengan bacaan tadarus Al-quran di rumah.Imsak di Belfast adalah sekitar jam 4 pagi.Memandangkan matahari muncul agak awal,pagi di Belfast biasanya sudah terang seperti waktu tengahari sekitar jam 6 pagi.Sebaik jam menghampiri 7.oo pagi,aku akan sibuk bersiap-siap dan bertolak untuk bekerja pada pukul 7.30 pagi.

Di tempat kerja,masa untuk bekerja menjadi efektif kerana aku tidak lagi berehat untuk makan yang diperuntukkan sebanyak 3 kali sehari.Kerja di hotel memerlukan aku untuk menyiapkan kerja sebelum jam 3.00 petang ,sebelum berkemas untuk pulang pada pukul 4.00ptg.Kebiasaannya,aku akan bertungkus lumus untuk bekerja secepat mungkin dan menyiapkan kerja.Alhamdulillah di bulan Ramadhan,kerja-kerja itu seperti mudah dan dapat disiapkan sebelum waktu yang ditetapkan walaupun kerja dilakukan lebih slow dari hari biasa.

Terus terang aku katakan,hidup di rantauan ini aku jarang sekali menonton TV disebabkan aku tidak mempunyai TV.Jadi,lepas pulang dari kerja,aku hanya berehat-rehat sambil membaca buku atau novel kegemaran.Selepas membersihkan diri,aku akan bersolat dan terus menyambung bacaan Al-Quran persendirian.Sekitar jam 8mlm,aku akan berjalan ke Belfast Islamic Centre (BIC) untuk meyambung bacaan Al-Quran, iftar dan solat di sana.

Iftar di BIC adalah sekitar jam 9.00 malam,memandangkan aku jarang pergi ke BIC pada tahun lepas,aku bernekad untuk mengunjungi BIC setiap hari pada tahun ini.Berbuka di BIC ini seronok rasanya kerana dapat bertemu dengan muslimat bangsa lain dan warga Malaysia yang lain sambil menikmati juadah yang disediakan oleh pihak BIC.Biasanya,kami akan berbuka dengan buah tamar dan terus solat Maghrib sebelum menjamah hidangan utama.Walaupun juadah yang dihidangkan hanyalah sederhana,namun keberkatan itu dapat dirasa kerana makanan yang dihidang tidak berlebih-lebihan dan biasanya ditambah dengan hidangan yang dibawa dari rumah oleh muslimat,juadah biasanya cukup untuk dimakan.Langsung tiada pembaziran,perut pula tidak rasa lapar walaupun makan sedikit.

Waktu Isya' pada ketika itu masuk dalam pukul 10mlm dan tarawikh bermula sekitar jam 10.30 malam.Imam yang mengetuai solat di BIC diimport dari Timur Tengah.Justeru,bacaan mereka boleh dikatakan lancar dan agak laju.Di sana,solat tarawikh tidak diselangkan dengan bacaan-bacaan selepas solat seperti di Malaysia.So,solat tarawikh dapat dihabiskan agak awal.Memandangkan masa solat yang agak lewat dan akan berkerja keesokannya,aku hanya bersolat sebanyak 8 rakaat yang biasanya akan berakhir pada sekitar jam 11.30 malam.

Pengalaman berpuasa (hanya 1o hari) di rantauan telah mengajar diriku untuk bersabar terutama sekali apabila merindukan masakan-masakan yang enak spt yg ada di Malaysia.Rata-rata masyarakat di sana tidak mengetahui tentang Ramadhan Al-Mubarak,so kehidupan diteruskan seperti biasa dan nak kata Bazar Ramadhan itu memang x ada.Kalau terasa hendak makan sesuatu ,terpksalah masak sendiri .Walaupun,kemeriahan itu kurang dirasakan namun pengabdian terhadap Allah S.W.T itu lebih kuat terasa.Mungkin kerana,aku telah berfikir dan melihat dunia dari perspektif yang lain kerana berada di satu tempat yang asing buat diriku.

Sebaik sahaja aku berada di Malaysia(pulang semasa puasa) ,pelbagai nafsu datang membuak-buak.Untuk seminggu yang pertama aku mengalami jetlag yang teruk..hihihih..So,nafsu pertama yang amat sukar ditangani ialah NAFSU NO 1 nafsu tidur,boleh dikatakan aku telah tidur lebih dari separuh hari setiap hari ketika aku mula-mula berada di sini.Aku mengalami kesukaran untuk tidur pada waktu malan,berjaga sehingga lewat pagi sehingga sahur,dan tidur sampai lewat dan susah nak bangun,badan rasa lemah dan lesu terutama bila hari panas ..aiseyyhh :(.

Sebaik sahaja tiba masa untuk berkunjung ke Bazar Ramadhan datanglah NAFSU NO 2 ,mata celik,badan segar dan berjalan di bazar dengan mata yang rambang lah sangat.

Disebabkan daaa hampir setaun meniggalkan Malaysia,makanan kt bazar tu sumenye nampak sedap dan kalau boleyh sumenye nak beli! Selalunya mmg end up bila banyak2 dan x habis makan waktu berbuka .:(

Setelah beberapa hari,badan aku mula kembali seperti normal dan x laloq sangat pada waktu siang,NAFSU NO 3 pula muncul iaitu nafsu bercakap.Entah kenapa,mulut ini x berhenti-henti bercakap.Ada sahaja yang hendak aku ceritakan dan borak2.Sampai ibu pernah tegur.. "kakak,x penat ke cakap?" barulah aku terhantuk,adoi aah pesal mulut asik cakap potpetpotpet je?

NAFSU NO 4 menjelma tidak berapa lama kemudian iaitu nafsu menonton TV.Kalau dulu-dulu,aku mmg suka sangat menonton rancangan Barat,tapi entah kenapa balik-balik nie,semua TV1,TV2,TV3,NTV7,Astro Ceria,Astro Ria,Astro Prima,Astro Oasis aku nk tgk,abis sume drama-drama tah pape tuh aku layan je n siap folo tiap ari..huuu..pelik sungguh..rasenye mungkin da lame sangat x tgk cite2 Melayu ..hukhukhuk..even internet pon da malas nk online.nak kate FB and blog ne bukak time rajin je and ble da malam2 cket sbb,broadband kt rumah slow betol siang2 :(

NAFSU NO 5 ialah sangat-sangat sibuk nak bershopping Raya.Kepala pening nak pk nak beli baju ini la,tudung ini la,biskut raye la,kuih raye la,kek raye la,duit raye la..aduihh macam-macam..habis tergoda iman.

Jadinya,aku berasa sedih dengan diri sendiri kerana telah membiarkan diri ini dikuasai dengan nafsu-nafsu yang menggoncang iman dan melunturkan pahala ibadah di bulan Ramadhan yang mulia ini.Harapnya,nafsu-nafsu ini dapat dikikis demi memburu keredhaan Allah S.W.T dan menjadi insan yang lebih bertaqwa..Insyaallah..

Lame kelamaan,bile asik membeli je,mule la berkire-kire betapa banyaknya yg telah

duit da dihabiskan membeli-belah online kan.

Kadang-kadang tu bukannye perlu sangat pon barang2 tu,

Nasib baik result exams ok,,kalau x abis le.

Terus terang cakap mmg x suke lgsg dgn sikap2 org yg 'loser' mcm ne.

Alhamdulillah,business online ne mmg memberikan pulangan yg agak lumayan

dan tidak memerlukan banyak sgt mase pown.Sangat sesuai la utk student2 university esp

utk mengasah bakat sambil menjana pendapatan sampingan.

Lepas da seronok berniaga, rase gian plak untuk berniaga

mende2 lain.So,saye pernah menjual barang2 kecantikan Avon,

susu Alphalipid,pin tudung kayu dari Indonesia dan shawls :)

Disebabkan terlalu bnyak barang yg pernah dibeli dulu2,

banyak jugak la da jarang digunakan dan terpaksa let go.

Maka terwujud la sebuah website lain,khas utk jual brg2 preloved.

Bila da sambung study kt UK,saye jual jugak barang2 baru yg dibeli dr UK.

Selain itu,saya juga menyediakan perkhidmatan preorder barang2 yg boleh diakses online di UK.

Kebanyakan customer utk service ini datangnya dari Singapura.

Memang seronok rasanya berniaga online ni (^~^)

Yang paling teruk adalah bila barang yang da dihantar pada customer hilang

and langsung x sampai2 ,terpaksa la refund duit dan rugi at the same time sbb modal barang tu burn cam tu je :(( And of course la hilang kepercayaan drpd customer tu.

Kes-kes yang lain termasuklah back-out customer,kite da order barang sume,pastu die cancel

cenggitu je :( Rugi jugak :( .sob sob

Kes laen plak bila barang kne charge tinggi sangat dengan kastam..huhuhu..kadang2 charge kastam tu ok

but kadang die mahal sangat smpi makan duit untung sampi tinggal jd cket je :((

Ade jugak customer yang belom bayar dan mengaku dah bayar..ini lagi la penin dibuatnye :(

Masalah2 yg sempoi2 bile customer "mengamuk" barang sampai lambat la.aiyooo..penin sgt.

Ade customer yg baek,ok je,,yg hot-tempered abes la kne maki hamun sume :( sabar je la.

And penah jugak la ade customer mengadu barang x dpt kt ofis,rupe2nye ade org laen kt ofis da songlap

wat cam barang sendiri.

And penah jugak ble customer pesan kt staff die utk buat payment,but then staff g burn duit

tu plak.huu,,kesian btol.

Dan yang paling x boleh sabar,bile ade supplier yg menipu my partner.

Da bayar duit,pastu blah camtuh je,x reply

x jawab ape,and barang pon x sampai2.Mmg la x redha dgn org cmne.mmg x halal la makan minum!

So,ape lagi terpaksa la report polis kan org yg penipu beso cmne.

Padan muke ..wekk :P..So nak remind kat sume sile berhati-hati bila berurusan dengan

orang secara online.Banyak jugak la penjahat rupenye.

Setelah 13jam menanti,kami selamat mendarat.Alhamdulillah:)

Tanggal 19 Ogos 2010 merupakan tarikh keramat buat kami-daku,Wani dan Peepot .Hahahah.mane x nye sudah tidak larat bekerja 8jam sehari di Europa Hotel,mmg x sabar2 rasanya nak balik ke Malaysia :))

Disebabkan kami terlalu excited,kami takut sgt connecting flight dari Belfast-London ade masalah ke,tambah2 lagi bila teringatkn kisah letusan gunung berapi Eyjafjallajokul,Iceland yang pernah menghentikan sistem penerbangan di Eropah buat seketika x lame dulu.woo,so kami pon beli la tiket pagi utk connect ke London Stansted menggunakan flight Easyjet ,pukol 10pagi.Peepot yg sgt excited telah membook cab utk menjemput aku di Mount Prospect pd seawal 6.30pagi (owh,tersangatlah mengantuk nak bangun,termiss sahur gara2 tido lambat sbb repack baggage yg da exceed allowance 20kg utk Easyjet & AirAsia).Kami tiba di Belfast International Airport pada sekitar jam 7 pagi,check in counter plak bukak pkl 8 pagi..Aiyoo..so ape la,terpakse duduk berehat2 dan mencuci mata di pagi hari.Lepas check in dan security sume,

tbe2 dapat pula SMS dari AirAsia,drg gtau yg flight AirAsia London-KL 9pm ditunda ke 11.30pm..

ok,sabar je la kan,tp mase tu dok pk relax lagi,delay dlm 2 jam lbey not too bad pown.hihih

Sebaik kami mendarat di London Stansted Airport dlm pkl 11 lbey,dpt lg satu msg dr Air Asia,depa dok gtau yg flight delay lg ke 2 pagi 20/8/2010.Mase tu mate dok terkebil2 tgk tarikh departure da mcm x familiar,n nerves plus geram bile dok pk,time mase tu br je dekat pkul 12tgh hari,so ktrg terpakse duduk melepak di Airport selamat setengah hari,sambil berpuasa dan x buat pape.Lepas tu ape lgi,terus cari spot utk melepak2 which is dekat bangku tepi Prayer Room-senangkan nk solat sume.Lepas 1 jam di airport,sudah rase x boley dok diam so pegi la jalan2 konon2 nk shopping.Malangnye,x sampai sejam seluruh airport telah aku jelajahi sambil mundar mandir.Erkk,so lepas tu nekad nak ajak Wani dgn Peepot kuar g city London jugak.

Ape lagi,ktrg pergi la pusing2 airport tu kot2 ade tempat simpan ala2 kt Puduraya or KL Sentral tu.Malangnye kami x jumpe(x tau la ade ke tak or ktrg je yg x tau) so hajat tu terbantut la.lagi2 wani bawk dua baggage roda.mmg x dpt la nk g London sambil menarik beg2 yg bagak itu kann.

Dengan hati pasrah duduk la balik melepak di bangku yg telah dicop sekian td.Buat la macam2 nak sedapkan hati,jap2 pergi charge hp,jap2 pergi jalan2,jap2 bace Quran..n jap2 tdo la.Akhirnya jam pun menunjukkan pkul 6.Waktu tu kami dok tunggu skrin announce time utk check in bag n dok pk2 nak makan ape buke mlm tu.Lalu pergilah menjenguk kedai2 seperti Spar,Costa,caffe,Burger King.Dalam pkul 8 cmtu br terase nk pegi check in baggage,aiyo rupenye kaunter da bukak dr pkl 6 ktrg x sedar.lepas check in dpt la refreshment voucher dr airport bernilai 10pound srg.Menyesal gak la sbb da pegi beli2 makanan siap2 b4 dat.Tp sbb nk jugak gune voucher tu,ktrg pown berbuka puase mkn pasta,salad,milkshake dkt Alba Cafe.

Lepas solat semua,ktrg pn check in dlm pkl 10pm cmtu,lepas je security kami ditegur oleh seorang pegawai security African British yg pernah tinggal di Malaysia selama 2 tahun,Yang seronoknya berborak dengan pakcik ne sbb die Muslim and duduk kt Malaysia sbg ahli sufi dan mendalami ilmu persilatan,Wow,,silat ok!

Selepas tu,da x tau nk buat ape duduk la lagi dekat bangku2 yg kosong tersedia.kebanyakan destination da x de departure kecuali flight kami :/.so,suasana agak lengang,dan kedai2 bebas cukai tu pon sedang berkemas2 utk tutup.Kami hanya sempat mencuci2 mata.Hajat untuk memborong miniature perfume Dior pon terbantut.

Disebabkan penat sangat,ktrg pon cari lagi spot yg best utk baring2 dan tidur dekat dengan transit untuk ke Gate 6.Masih ade lagi 10pound voucher utk digunakan,tapi kedai2 pon da tutup,nampak bar je yg available,x minat nk masuk pon.Bila tinjau2 lagi sekali,rupe-rupenye Starbucks (walaupoun memboikot,tp terpaksa gak la beli dis time:/ ) masih lagi bukak waktu tu da dekat 12mlm.So,aku bagi pihak kawan2 yg da mengantuk pergi la mengorder Caramel Cream,Choc Frappucino,dan Coffe Latte.,,hahah sampai kne tegur dgn mamat Starbucks tu,x sejuk ke? erkk mmg sejuk,tp x ske plak minum Starbucks panas.

Akhirnya masa yg dinantikan2 tbe juga,pkl 2.00pagi kami boarding flight dgn kaki yg lenguh dan mata yg berat tapi EXCITED (^_^)..Hee,lega sungguh da tgu separuh hari.Impression sgt bagus dekat AirAsia.

Sebab ramai sgt org cam pelik ktrg naek Air Asia dgn alasan seat keras la,sempit and mcm2 n mostly drg naek Emirates ,Mas .Kitorang plak rase satisfied,and sgt worth it naek AirAsia ne sbbnye die not too bad,interior cantek sgt (bcz sy ske kale merah,,hahaha),seat die comfort sgt,tdo sedap.And yg plg penting ini adalah tiket plg murah yg pernah ak jumpe 280GBP~RM1400 return London-KL,termasuk tax,surcharge,comfort kits,foods,baggage ;) .Teringat dulu mase first time fly naek MAS ,economy seat flight 3 connection KL-Amsterdam-London-Belfast one way RM5600~1100GBP owh mmg x mampu laa..

Yg paling impressnye naek AirAsia dat time, landing die sgt la smooth gile,kapten die mmg terer gile kowt,bcz first time naek flight rase landing die cam x de impact lgsung!!And the worst landing mase naek MAS landing Amsterdam sgt nitemare mcm rase terhempap gitu,and ingat lagi waktu landing tu mostly passenger Dutch gelak gile,waktu tu rase cam alamak pesal drg gelak riuh2 ne satu flight errr..Makanan yg dorg hidangkan pon sgt2 sedap.Sangat suke dengan nasi lemak die!Mmg 1st class.Pasne balik mahu naek Air Asia lagi.Proud of Air Asia sbb drg menang World's Best Low Cost Airlines ,n drg mmg deserve to win .congrats!! :)

My Splendid Housekeeping Experience

I was seriouly so nervous right before the exams started few months ago,it's not because i did'n prepared enough for the exams,but I was nervous to not get any job offers :at that time.( and of course ,the fact dat booked the CHEAPEST return air ticket with AirAsia ~280GBP will only fly me home in August :(((( ) after applying so much and been rejected so many times.I can't imagine how I wud spend the summer without having any job here,yeah,I was thinking maybe I will go home with empty hand~

Alhamdulillah not long before the exams started,I found an advertisement from Elms Village calling for students to work on various position over the summer,I applied for the "Housekeeping Cleaner " position since I thought it would be an easy job and suit me pretty well,I was then received a call for interview on the same day I submit my application,,hihihih.. (kerje cleaner pon nk interview ke??hihihi..

When the exams started,I still not receive any offer letter for the job I'd applied,so I decided to find another job..Again,got rejected by Wellington Hotel :( which is located very near to my house (and it is actually stand on right in front of my school building ),I decided to give a try at Europa Hotel when I found vacancy online,and downloaded an application form.I walked-in to Europa Hotel after writing 1 page of essays and filling all particulars they need !(#_@).The next day,I was informed via phone about the date of my interview..i was like waaaa,,interview againn!..

And not long after that,I got an offer letter to work at Elms Village (@_@)..happy enuff,and I still have another interview to go,,-which I eventually did quite ok,and YESS got the 'housekeeping cleaner job at Europa hotel.Initially,I was a wee bit in dilemma to choose between those two.The former offer a bit higher wages but for only 5 weeks contract,while the latter offer a bit lower wages but for continous casual employment.After asking around for helps and advice from close acquaintances,I decided to work for the former first,and the latter later on .

So far,I enjoy both works very much :)) especially when I gotta meet a lot of people from various background and nationalities( Oohh,I just love to make more n more friends!).The job task between the two are pretty much the same .The only difference is that working at the hotel is a real job where I got to be serious and commited since it will reflect the business as a whole.

I was kinda surprised to see so many different European nationalities working there (which they all really look alike to each other,at first,I can't really tell a Polish or an Irish when they din speak).They work very hard and fast which stunned me so many time!(They always finish very early and got plenty time to rest and relax !)There are some people who are very friendly especially the Filipinos and Romanian,and there are some not at all.There are very stiff competition at the my workplace especially when its the time to chase for towels at laundry room.Working at Europa has help me to always be alert and manage my time wisely between doing the bed and cleaning the rooms,having break,and to get towels,bed linen,filling the pantry,hoovering and mopping.It is really a challenging job! and yes it is not as easy as i thought it was.

After all,working help me to appreciate the feelings of ooo-its-so-hard-to-earn-a -penny, and control my biggest lust > S.H.O.P.P.I.NG.- for-unnecessary-things,and indeed it has driven me to think about the future and savings.More importantly,I got to expose myself with the real bussiness thingy ,gotta deal with people with different kind of personalities,n as well as taking responsibilities on my job.Syukur,I'm so glad to be granted the opportunity to work for a good reputation company.And it is not all about money,because the experience is so worth it! :)

1.A very cheerful girl
She told me that her name is "Neave" but I saw her name was spelled
as Niamh.She is a very cute Irish girl with crystal clear blue eyes .Whenever I answer her questions,
she will reply with phrases like,,"Owh that's Great!! Fantastic!!

2.An old man trying to cross a road
He was asking for help from his fellow countryman,but nobody care.I felt so pity towards him,and decide
to help him.He talked all the way and really thankful to God despite of his not so fortunate life.I supposed he is a homeless when he decided to rest and let me go at a bench near Belgravia St.When I was about to leave him,he keep saying "Thank you young lady,you are very nice,God will love you!" and he repeated that about 3 times.

3.A housemate of my classmate
He say hi to me because he thought he might have seen me walking with his housemate.And of course he knew that i'm doing chemical engineering.Yes,its true .When he asked me about my exams result.I was a wee bit embarrased to tell him my so-n-so marks.And surprisingly,he was like.." OMG that's great!! I've seen so many people failing this course ! Don't worry ! you'll be fine! "

4.First day partner while working at Europa Hotel
When my manager asked me to follow this girl and worked at 10th Floor of the hotel,I don't feel so easy
because this girl gave me a very sharp look and sigh so loud when I was announced to be her partner.She rarely spoke to me that day and ask me to do this and that with a very rude.Seriously,I don't enjoy my first day working here because she was very fast and everything I do seems wrong to her.I only knew that she is a Polish the next day when she talk quite a lot.I dunno what may have driven her to be a very friendly girl the next day.It was like a miracle because we actually shared a lot of stories despite a very unwelcome feeling I felt the other day.I am happy to befriend her now and she has become my closest colleague among all different nationalities we have there. :)

5.A guy on wheelchair going to uni
I never had the opportunity to talk to him but everyday I will see him going back from David Keir Building.
I thing he is such a great and inspirational person to me.He move faster than me on his wheelchair and very confident to cross all the hilly pathways and main roads at Queen's University area.And there are actually more people like him in Belfast and in other cities in UK as well.His disability never stop him from moving forward in all aspects be it physically and metally..I was so touched by him.

Meeting people from different walks of life really motivates me to be strong and urge me to keep going on.NEVER NEVER give up in everythings you are up to..Thanks Allah s.w.t for giving me the opportunity to be here and learn so much thing.Almost every people (not all but almost :)) i met in Europe are positive and confident in their own way.They are very considerate,polite,and helpful when they are in sober state of mind.
Maybe we should learn from them and takes all the good and leave all the bad behind.

I'll be wearing an amethyst green dress from Debenhams (was tagged as 75Pound, discounted to 15Pound, to my surprise I was charged 12Pound since thr is additional 25% discount,pretty good bargain kan??(around Rm60 for a nice dress,ok lah.i loike!!)

Assam Laksa versi Belfast..

I was craving for Malaysian's foods yesterday. (@_@)

And finally i opted to treat my 'ngengade' tastebuds with --->Assam Laksa !!

I decided to cook at Wal's place since she live quite near to the asian market,Cam Seng.

I was so dissapointed to not found any 'daun kesum' and 'bunga kantan' :( at the so-called asian market.Wal suggested to use canned mackerel in our laksa instead of 'ikan kembong' which isn't available at Camseng.So we spend about 10pound to buy ingredients needed.This is the recipe for our version of Assam laksa;

Ingredients (serving for 8 )

1) MADU
Madu adalah makanan yang sangat berkhasiat. Al-Quran mengiktirafkannya sebagai "shifa'" iaitu penyembuh penyakit. Manisan madu digelar "Raja Ubat", dapat menyembuh kebanyakkan penyakit. Ia adalah makanan untuk kesihatan keseluruhannya. Ia mengandungi pelbagai jenis vitamin, mineral, protein, antiseptik dan enzim yang meningkatkan ingatan dan kecerdasan mental individu. Madu juga mengandungi pelbagai zat galian yang penting seperti kalsium, sulfur, fosforus, zat besi, karbon, magnesium, potassium (kalium), kuprum, silika, klorin, mangganese dan belerang untuk memupuk tenaga dan kesihatan fizikal-mental. Rasullullah s.a.w bersabda, "Siapa ingin hafal, hendaklah ia minum manisan madu". Madu didapati berkesan untuk merawati penyakit - penyakit mental di mana ia boleh menghindarkan kepenatan kerja otak seperti berfikir, membaca, merancang dan bermesyuarat.

CARA MINUM : 2 sudu teh pada waktu pagi dan malam.
PANTANG : Jangan makan tembikai semasa menggunakan madu. Sangat merbahaya !

2) KISMIS
Mengandungi zat besi yang amat diperlukan untuk membina darah bagi memastikan bekalan oksigen yang mencukupi untuk disalurkan ke otak. Kekurangan oksigen menyebabkan seseorang mudah mengantuk, pelupa, lembab dan mengalami kelemahan dalam berfikir.

CARA MAKAN :
i)Menghadap Kiblat
ii)Baca "Bismillah" dan selawat ke atas nabi (3 kali)
iii)Baca doa penerang hati
iv)Makan secara kemam seperti makan gula-gula. Tidak berkesan jika dikunyah seperti makan kacang.
v)Makan sebiji-biji sebanyak 21 biji setiap hari.

Susu berguna untk kesihatan otak, mempertajamkan ingatan, membekalkan tenaga mental dan fizikal. Susu mengandungi tiga unsur semulajadi iaitu keju, lemak dan air yang amat diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan badan dan otak. Susu adalah makanan yang paling lengkap dan berkhasiat. Ia mengandungi enam kelas makanan yang amat diperlukan oleh tubuh iaitu karbohidrat, lemak, protein, semua jenis vitamin, mineral dan air. Ia berkhasiat untuk merawati kesihatan umum dan merupakan penawar kelupaan yang berkesan. Rasullullah s.a.w menerangkan susu boleh menguatkan belakang, menambahi akal, memperbaiki penglihatan dan menghindari penyakit lupa. Susu yang terbaik untuk ketajaman minda ialah susu kambing, biri - biri dan lembu yang segar. Susu hidup lebih berkhasiat dari susu debu.

CARA MINUM :
i)Sekurang-kurangnya segelas pada sebelah pagi dan malam
ii)Baca "Bismillah" dan doa minum susu seperti yang dibaca oleh Rasullullah s.a.w

4) TELUR
Bermanfaat untuk menambah kekuatan otak, badan dan menjaga kesihatan keseluruhannya. Ahli - ahli kesihatan mengakui ia merupakan makanan yang lengkap dan berkhasiat. Ia mengandungi protein, mineral, vitamin, kalsium, kuprum, magnesium, fosforus, kalium, sulfur, natrium, klorin, zat besi, air, choline dan bahan ekstraktif. Sabda Nabi s.a.w, "Sesungguhnya seorang nabi a.s mengadu kepada Allah (kerana dia)lemah badan. Maka Allah s.w.t memerintahkannya supaya memakan telur". Telur terutama telur kuning, berupaya mengatasi masalah kelemahan tenaga fizikal dan minda sekaligus. Telur yang terbaik ialah telur ayam kampung dan yang masih baru.

5) HALIA
Ianya sangat mujarab untuk gejala kelupaan. Ia boleh dimakan mentah atau dibuat halua. Halua ialah halia yang dijadikan manis - manisan dengan merebus dan mencampurkannya dengan gula.

CARA MAKAN : Dimakan sedikit sahaja pada waktu pagi.

6) LIMAU OREN
Berkhasiat untuk mengemaskan urat-urat jantung dan menambah kekuatan fikiran menurut hadis Nabi s.a.w. Limau - limau jenis lain juga elok untuk diamalkan.

7) BUAH DELIMA
Untuk penerang hati. Sabda Nabi s.a.w, "Barangsiapa yang memakan buah delima keseluruhannya, sesungguhnya Allah menerangkan hatinya selama 40 hari."

8)DAGING BURUNG MERPATI
Ianya banyak digunakan oleh bijak pandai Islam dan Melayu dahulukala. Ia mengandungi protein, lemak, kalsium, fosforus dan kalori. Sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan terutama kanak - kanak. Kaedah ini sangat popular dan berkesan. Kanak - kanak yang diberi telur burung merpati didapati dapat bercakap lebih awal dari kebiasaannya.

9) OTAK AYAM
Boleh dibuat sup dan dicampur dengan halia. Otak ayam yang segar juga boleh dibuat penawar sementara bagi gigitan ular. Perlu diamalkan memakannya.

10) DAGING AYAM
Berbanding dengan semua jenis daging, ayam dianggap mengandungi kadar zat pemakanan yang paling tinggi. Daging ayam betina dara terutamanya berkhasiat meningkatkan prestasi otak dan membaiki darah. Abu Musa r.a meriawayatkan bahawa Nabi s.a.w memakan daging ayam betina.

11) DAGING BIRI-BIRI
Menambah darah, sesuai untuk orang aktif dan bekerja berat serta dapat meningkatkan kekuatan hafazan.

12) HATI
Terutamanya hati ayam dan lembu. Mengandungi pelbagai jenis vitamin dan bermanfaat untuk kesihatan mental dan fizikal.

13) KEKACANG
Beberapa jenis kacang seperti gajus, berangan, kacang soya, pistachio dan lain-lain. Kacang pistachio dipercayai sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan terutamanya kanak-kanak. Memakan kacang pistachio merupakan amalan pemakanan seorang pelajar genius berbangsa Melayu yang tinggal di Melaka. Kekacang mengandungi nilai protein yang tinggi.

14) BUAH BADAM
Untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan.

15) ZA'FARAN : KOMKOMA (CROCOS SATIVUS)
Sejenis bahan berambu merah. Dimakan sedikit sahaja. Dijual di kedai-kedai runcit India dan sesetengah kedai runcit Melayu.

16) KEMENYAN PUTIH (kemenyan serani/luban/kundar)
Ditumbuk halus-halus dan dimakan dengan gula.

17) BUNGA KOBIS
Terdapat sejenis asid amino untuk tenaga mental.

18) BUNGA CENGKEH
Ditumbuk sehingga halus lalu dimakan sedikit sahaja.

19) LABU
Berfaedah menambahkan keupayaan fikiran dan akal. Sabda Nabi s.a.w., "Makanlah labu kerana ia mencerdaskan akal". Baginda juga berkata, "Jika kamu membuat sup (atau kuah), dianjurkan memasukkan labu ke dalamnya kerana ia menambahkan kemampuan fikiran dan akal.

20) BUAH KEDEKAI (MAJALAWI)
Menguatkan hafalan dan menguatkan kekuatan badan.

21) MINYAK SAPI
Dimakan terus atau dicampurkan dengan masakan dalam kuantiti yang kecil.

22) SAYUR-SAYURAN DAN BAUH-BUAHAN SEGAR
Juga membantu meningkatkan akal dan memori

Mari hindari diri dari Syaitan!

1. Mengambil berat tentang solat berjemaah

Mengambil berat tentang solat berjemaah akan menjadikan seseorang muslim bebas serta aman dari gangguan syaitan. Bersikap sambil lewa terhadap solat berjemaah menyebabkan syaitan akan mengambil peluang untuk mendampingi mereka. Apabila selalu berdampingan, lama-kelamaan ia akan berjaya merasuk, menyihir atau melakukan kejahatan lain.

Mengikut riwayat Abu Hurairah RA, Rasulullah SAW telah bersabda, ertinya:

"Mana-mana kampung mahupun kawasan-kawasan hulu yang tidak mendirikan solat berjemaah meskipun penduduknya cuma tiga orang, nescaya akan didampingi oleh syaitan. Oleh itu hendaklah dirikan solat berjemaah. Sesungguhnya serigala akan memakan kambing-kambing yang menyendiri dari puaknya." (Riwayat Abu Dawud dengan sanad yang baik).

2. Menyebut nama Allah apabila masuk ke rumah dan apabila makan

Imam Muslim meriwayatkan di dalam Sahihnya, sebuah hadith dari Jabir bin Abdullah RA, beliau pernah mendengar Nabi Muhammad SAW bersabda, maksudnya:

"Apabila seorang lelaki memasuki rumahnya, lalu dia menyebut nama Allah ketika masuk dan ketika makan, syaitan akan berkata kepada teman-temannya, 'Tidak ada tempat penginapan dan makan malam untuk kalian.' Jika dia memasuki rumahnya tanpa menyebut nama Allah, syaitan akan berkata (kepada saudara-saudaranya), 'Kalian boleh ikut menginap di dalamnya malam ini.' Dan ketika makan, dia tidak menyebut nama Allah, syaitan berkata, 'Kalian boleh ikut menyantap makan malam.'"

3. Membaca doa perlindungan apabila masuk ke tandas

Terdapat hadith daripada Anas bin Malik RA, beliau berkata, apabila Nabi Muhammad SAW memasuki tandas, baginda mengucapkan:

"Ya Allah, aku berlindung kepada-Mu dari jin kafir (syaitan) betina dan syaitan jantan." (Hadith Riwayat Bukhari dan Muslim)

4. Berwuduk sebelum tidur
Disebutkan sebuah hadith, bahawa Rasulullah SAW bersabda kepada Bara` bin Azib RA, maksudnya:

"Apabila kamu hendak mendatangi tempat tidurmu, berwuduklah sebagaimana kamu berwuduk untuk melakukan solat." (Hadith Riwayat Bukhari dan Muslim)

5. Membaca Ayat Kursi sebelum tidur

Dalam satu hadith yang panjang, diringkaskan di sini, bahawa Abu Hurairah RA menceritakan beliau telah didatangi seorang pencuri yang mencuri hasil kutipan zakat yang dijaganya sebanyak tiga kali, sedangkan telah dua kali diberi amaran dan dia telah berjanji tidak akan datang mencuri hasil kutipan zakat itu lagi.

Untuk kali ke tiganya, dia berkata "Lepaskanlah saya, saya akan mengajarkan beberapa kalimat semoga Allah memberikan manfaat untukmu dengan kalimat ini." Beliau pun bertanya tentang doa itu. Dia berkata, "Jika kamu berbaring di perbaringan, bacalah ayat kursi, kerana dengan begitu, Allah akan sentiasa menjagamu dan syaitan tidak akan mendekatimu hingga pagi harinya."

Maka beliau pun melepaskannya sekali lagi. Pagi esoknya, Rasulullah SAW bertanyakan akan hal tahanannya lagi, lalu Abu Hurairah RA menceritakannya. Lalu baginda bersabda, "Mahkluk itu telah berkata benar kepadamu, sedangkan ia adalah si pendusta. Wahai Abu Hurairah, tahukah kamu siapa yang kamu ajak bicara sejak tiga hari yang lalu itu?" Beliau menjawab, "Tidak". Baginda bersabda, "Ia adalah syaitan." (Hadith Riwayat Bukhari dengan ta'liq)

6. Membaca Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq dan An-Nas kemudian sapu seluruh badan sebelum tidur
Satu hadith daripada Aishah RA, mengatakan,

"Gabungkanlah kedua telapak tangan anda dan bacalah surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq dan An-Nas padanya. Kemudian, tiuplah keduanya lalu sentuh anggota badan seluruhnya, sejauh yang dapat dicapai dimulai dari kepala." (Hadith sahih Bukhari, riwayat Aishah RA)

7. Tutup mulut apabila menguap
Dalam satu hadith, Abu Said Al-Khudri RA berkata, bahawa Rasulullah SAW bersabda, maksudnya:

"Apabila salah seorang di antara kamu menguap, hendaklah dia menutup mulutnya dengan tangan, kerana syaitan akan masuk." (Hadith Riwayat Imam Muslim dan Ad-Damiri)

8. Bersihkan hidung jika terjaga tengah malam
Abu Hurairah RA berkata, bahawa Rasulullah SAW bersabda, maksudnya:

"Apabila salah seorang di antara kamu terbangun dari mimpinya, hendaklah dia melakukan istintsar tiga kali, kerana syaitan bermalam pada hidungnya." (Hadith Riwayat Bukhari dan Muslim)

Istintsar ialah perbuatan menyedut air ke dalam hidung, kemudian menghembusnya keluar, seperti ketika berwuduk. Hikmah lain istintsar ialah ia merupakan satu penawar bagi penyakit resdung. Amalkanlah selalu, contohnya selepas keluar ke kawasan kotor berdebu seperti di jalan raya.

9. Mendirikan Solat Tahajjud

Apabila seseorang tidur, lalu bangun di pagi harinya tanpa sedikit pun qiyamullail, syaitan akan semakin dekat menguasainya. Dari Abdullah bin Masud RA, dia berkata,

"Pernah disebutkan kepada Rasulullah SAW seorang lelaki yang tidur semalam penuh hingga bangun di pagi harinya, maka beliau bersabda: 'Itu adalah orang yang kedua telinganya (atau satu telinganya) telah dikencingi syaitan.'" (Hadith Riwayat Bukhari dan Muslim)

10. Tutup rumah dan tahan anak-anak menjelang Maghrib
Dalam satu hadith marfu' yang meriwayatkan dari Jabir bin Abdullah RA, katanya;

"Janganlah kalian biarkan unta, lembu, kambing dan yang sejenisnya, serta anak-anak kalian masih berkeliaran di luar rumah ketika matahari terbenam hingga kabut malam (waktu Isya') menghilang; kerana syaitan-syaitan bertebaran ketika matahari terbenam, hingga kabut malam menghilang." (Hadith Riwayat Muslim)

11. Jangan kencing pada lubang-lubang

Imam Nasa'i meriwayatkan dari Qatadah, dari Abdullah bin Sirjis, katanya Nabi Muhammad SAW bersabda, maksudnya;

"Janganlah salah seorang di antara kaluan kencing pada lubang-lubang." Mereka bertanya kepada Qatadah, "Mengapa kita dimakhruhkan untuk kencing pada lubang-lubang?" Dia menjawab, "Kerana lubang-lubang merupakan tempat tinggal jin." (Hadith Riwayat Abu Dawud, An-Nasa'i dan Imam Ahmad)

12. Mengingat Allah setiap waktu dan keadaan
Menurut satu kajian oleh Prof Dr Sir Norhisham Wahab, seorang pelopor Colour Vibration Therapy (CVT), syaitan dan jin tidak memiliki unsur jasad menyebabkan mereka tidak dapat dilihat sebaliknya kewujudan mereka terbukti menerusi sains fizik kuantum dan mampu dikesan menggunakan teknologi gelombang. Zikir pula memiliki gelombang tetap dan apabila diamalkan secara berterusan, gelombang zikir akan menguasai ruang kosong pada tubuh manusia dan menjadikannya pejal, menyebabkan tiada lagi ruang untuk dimasuki gelombang asing seperti syaitan atau jin. Selalulah berzikir dengan zikir yang telah diajar oleh Rasulullah SAW yang banyak dikumpulkan sekarang di dalam koleksi Al-Maksurat dan Al-Azkar.

Dalam satu hadith, Rasulullah SAW pernah bersabda yang maksudnya;

"Dan aku memerintahkan kalian untuk mengingat Allah kerana perumpamaan mengenai hal itu seperti seorang lelaki yang dikejar oleh musuh-musuhnya hingga ia sampai di sebuah benteng kukuh yang melindungi dirinya dari mereka. Sama halnya dengan seorang hamba tidak akan dapat menjaga dirinya dari syaitan kecuali dengan mengingat Allah (berdzikir kepada Allah)." (Hadith Riwayat At-Tirmidzi)

13. Mengingat Allah ketika bangun tidur
Dari Abu Hurairah RA, beliau berkata, Rasulullah SAW bersabda, maksudnya;

"Jika seseorang dari kalian tidur, maka syaitan membuat tiga ikatan pada lehernya yang dilakukan padamu sepanjang malam tidurmu. Maka tidurlah, dan jika kamu terbangun, sebutlah/ingatlah Allah, maka satu ikatan akan terlepas. Kemudian jika kamu berwuduk, maka akan terlepas satu ikatan, dan kemudian jika kamu melaksanakan solat, maka akan terlepas satu ikatan lagi hingga ia memulakan paginya dengan semangat dan jiwa yang bersih. Jika tidak, maka jiwanya akan kotor dan dalam keadaan malas."(Hadith Riwayat Bukhari dan Muslim)

14. Mengingat Allah ketika keluar rumah

Dari Anas bin Malik RA, beliau berkata, Rasulullah SAW bersabda, maksudnya;

"Barangsiapa yang ketika akan keluar rumah mengucapkan; bismillahi tawakkaltu alalloh la haula wa la quwwata illa billah (dengan nama Allah, aku berserah diri kepada Allah, tidak ada daya dan kekuatan kecuali kekuatan Allah), maka kepadanya akan dikatakan cukuplah bagimu, kamu telah dijaga dan syaitan telah menjauh darimu." (Haith Riwayat At-Tirmidzi)

15. Mengingat Allah ketika masuk masjid
Diriwayatkan dari Abdullah bin Amru bin Al-Ash RA, dari Nabi Muhammad SAW bahawa ketika akan masuk masjid, baginda mengucapkan, "A'udzu billahil-azhim wa bi wajhihil-karim wa sultonihil-qodimminassyaithonirrojim (Aku berlindung kepada Allah yang Maha Agung, dengan wajah-Na yang mulia dan dengan kekuasaan-Nya yang qodim dari syaitan yang terkutuk." Beliau berkata, "Itu saja?" Baginda berkata, "Ya, jika seseorang mengucapkan ini, maka syaitan akan berkata 'Ia telah dijaga dariku sepanjang hari'. " (Hadith Riwayat Abu Dawud)

16. Merapatkan saf solat berjemaah
Ibnu Umar berkata, bahawa Rasulullah SAW bersabda maksudnya;

"Luruskan barisan dan rapatkan bahu-bahu di antara kamu, dan lembutkan badan kamu untuk saudara yang di sebelah kamu. Jangan tinggalkan ruang kosong untuk syaitan mengambil tempat. Sesiapa yang merapatkan saf, maka Allah akan bersama dengannya dan siapa yang memutuskan saf, maka Allah akan putuskan hubungan dengannya." (Hadith Riwayat Abu Dawud)

17. Mengingat Allah ketika menanggalkan pakaian
Dari Anas RA, beliau berkata bahawa Rasulullah SAW bersabda maksudnya;

"Penghalang antara pandangan syaitan dan aurat anak cucu Adam adalah, apabila ia menanggalkan pakaiannya, mereka mengucapkan bismillah." (Hadith Riwayat At-Thabarani)

Adalah penting membaca doa menanggalkan pakaian kerana banyak kes terjadi di mana jin telah tergoda dengan manusia dan menaruh cintanya kepada manusia itu hingga membawa mudarat kepadanya. Doa menanggalkan pakaian:

Ertinya: Dengan nama Allah yang tiada tuhan selain dari Dia.

18. Mengingat Allah ketika akan berhubungan suami isteri
Dari Abdullah bin Abbas RA, ia mengatakan, bahawa Rasulullah SAW bersabda maksudnya;

"Jika salah seorang dari kalian ingin menggauli isterinya, hendaklah ia mengucapkan 'Allahumma janibnassyaiton wa jannibissyaiton ma rozaqtana' (Ya Allah ya Tuhan kami, jauhkanlah kami dari syaitan dan jauhkanlah syaitan dari apa yang telah Engkau berkan kepada kami). Jika Allah menakdirkan kepada keduanya seorang anak (dari hubungan itu), maka anak tersebut akan terhindar dari syaitan selamanya." (Hadith Riwayat Bukhari)

19. Makan Tamar 'Ajwah dan Tamar Madinah
Buah Tamar atau Kurma mempunyai pelbagai khasiat. Bagi Tamar 'Ajwah dan Tamar Madinah, Rasulullah SAW pernah bersabda yang maksudnya;

"Barangsiapa yang memakan tujuh biji kurma Madinah setiap paginya, maka pada hari itu ia tidak akan dibahayakan oleh racun mahupun sihir." (Hadith Riwayat Bukhari)

20. Mengelakkan pintu-pintu kemasukan jin dan syaitan

Daripada penceritaan para pengamal perubatan Islam, terdapat empat pintu utama yang ditunggu-tunggu oleh jin dan syaitan untuk merasuki manusia. Empat pintu itu ialah:

Terlalu marah
Terlalu gembira/ seronok/ leka
Terlalu dukacita
Terlalu syahwat

Selain itu, syaitan mudah menghasut manusia apabila ia dalam keadaan kenyang, terlalu sayangkan harta dunia, melakukan sesuatu dalam keadaan tergesa-gesa, terdetik di dalam hati perasaan hasad dengki dan lain-lain lagi.

Sebenarnya banyak lagi pintu masuknya syaitan jika dikaji secara terperinci. Untuk itu, adalah lebih baik untuk sentiasa membentengi diri dengan dzikrullah (mengingati Allah) setiap masa dan jauhilah sifat-sifat tercela.

I found myself woke up so fatigued and lying on my bed for entire day.
Guess what? Even though I have exams next Tuesday,
I steal need to reward myself by reading
'A thousand splendid suns' by Khaled Hosseini.
And not to forget the gelato treat at Morelli's parlour last night with
a bunch of cool people like Dun,Amin,Wani and Peepah.
(Belgian Chocolate and Raspberry Ripple flavour was awesome!!)
Perhaps because I'd push myself so hard to memorize those
Heat Transfer formulas and equations last week -non stop- !!
I end up having darker eye bags (dat's pretty disgusting)
but with sorts of deep satisfaction since only now I
know that Heat Transfer wasn't dat bad but an exciting subject instead.
Somehow,i quite regret for not liking HT back in Micet.
Only 1-2 days before the final exam begun,I start to appreciate all
the joyous feeling i had for solving heat transfer problems :)
Hahaha.. LOL

Praying for the best for next two papers.

Let's read Guardian's review on this novel;

Anyone whose heart strings were pulled by Khaled Hosseini's first, hugely successful novel, The Kite Runner, should be more than satisfied with this follow-up. Hosseini is skilled at telling a certain kind of story, in which events that may seem unbearable - violence, misery and abuse - are made readable. He doesn't gloss over the horrors his characters live through, but something about his direct, explanatory style and the sense that you are moving towards a redemptive ending makes the whole narrative, for all its tragedies, slip down rather easily.

The Kite Runner was the tale of two Afghan boys struggling to live decent lives amid the warfare and ethnic rivalries of contemporary Afghanistan, and this is the female counterpart. It is both the tale of two women, and a tale of two cities - Herat and Kabul. At the beginning, we are dropped into the world of Mariam, a young girl living alone with her unmarried mother on the outskirts of Herat. And what a sad world it is. Poor Mariam is bullied by her epileptic mother, and she lives for her weekly visits from her insincere, charming father who runs Herat's cinema, and whose real family she longs to join.

We don't stagnate with Mariam in Herat, however - Hosseini likes to move his narratives along - and before many pages have been turned Mariam's mother has died, and her unfeeling father has married her off to an acquaintance from Kabul. Despite the trauma of going to live with a complete stranger who insists that she must wear the burka and hide upstairs when visitors arrive, a tentative hopefulness begins to grow in Mariam that she may be able to win some affection from her husband, especially when she becomes pregnant.

But Hosseini vividly brings home what life is like for women in a society in which they are valued only for reproduction. Once she has suffered a series of miscarriages, Mariam's marriage becomes a prison: "Mariam was afraid. She lived in fear of his shifting moods, his insistence on steering even mundane exchanges down a confrontational path that, on occasion, he would resolve with punches, slaps, kicks, and sometimes try to make amends for with polluted apologies and sometimes not."

Just as the impatient reader might start to wonder what Hosseini is going to do next with his narrative energy, we switch from Mariam's life to that of a neighbour, the young Laila, who is growing up in a liberal family with a father who believes in her education. This means that we suddenly see Mariam from the outside: Laila never speaks to her, but one day she "passed Rasheed, the shoemaker, with his burka-clad wife, Mariam, in tow". In a flash we see, as Hosseini clearly intends us to, how behind every silent burka in Afghanistan is an individual with a hidden history.

As well as an education, ambitions and opinions, Laila even has a respectful and intelligent boyfriend, who goes with her to the cinema and on a trip to see the Buddhas of Bamiyan. By putting Mariam and Laila in contrast like this, Hosseini is, you feel, not just trying to burrow into individual lives, but also trying to explain the complexities of Afghan society to the reader.

That sense that you are listening to a history lesson as much as experiencing a fiction becomes stronger as the narrative moves on. Hosseini is almost too careful to describe for ignorant westerners the political background to these women's lives, from the Soviet occupation that ruled Laila's childhood to the growing strength of the mujahideen that her brothers join, amid "rising rumours that, after eight years of fighting, the Soviets were losing this war". Once the Soviets are ousted, he takes an even more didactic turn, spelling out how the mujahideen turned from idealised freedom fighters to oppressors. "It was dizzying how quickly everything unravelled. The leadership council was formed prematurely. It elected Rabbani president. The other factions cried nepotism ... Hekmatyar, who had been excluded, was incensed ... The Mujahideen, armed to the teeth but lacking a common enemy, had found the enemy in each other."

But Hosseini doesn't get bogged down in the ins and outs of Afghan politics. His energetic narrative speeds on through the political and domestic worlds, as we move through the tragedies that fall on Laila's family. Eventually we see her, orphaned and alone, allowing herself to become Rasheed's second wife. You might think this novel is becoming too melodramatic, as one horror succeeds another, with rockets blowing families apart and attempted escapes and even murder, alongside the beatings and whippings and threats that make up the women's daily experiences. But when I started to think this I remembered women I met in Kabul, and how many of them had stories to tell almost as melodramatic as this.

Where Hosseini's novel begins to sing is in depicting the slowly growing friendship of the two wives in the face of the horrific abuse from their shared husband. Laila looks at Mariam, and "For the first time, it was not an adversary's face Laila saw but a face of grievances unspoken, burdens gone unprotested, a destiny submitted to and endured. If she stayed, would this be her own face, Laila wondered?" The women's only hope of affection or solidarity is with one another, and they survive not just physically but also emotionally by putting their faith in each other and in their love for Laila's children.

Hosseini does not challenge the usual western view of Afghanistan, but he does enrich it - he adds greater knowledge and understanding to it, and makes the Afghans come alive as loving, feeling individuals. There is something marvellously hopeful in this process, and if there is a problem with the novel, it is not with the plot or the intentions behind it, but with the neatness of its narrative style. Hosseini's prose is stolidly direct, and he tends to explain away not only the political but also the personal, presenting each experience in a wrapper on which the emotion is carefully labelled. Whether it is love - "She had fallen for Tariq. Hopelessly and desperately" - or hate - "What harmful thing had she wilfully done to this man to warrant his malice?" - each distinct emotion is spelled out a touch too clearly.

His desire to believe in the eventual redemption of Afghanistan means that the ending verges on the schmaltzy. Undoubtedly the removal of the Taliban was positive for Afghan women, and we shouldn't be surprised if his characters draw strength from it. But in the last chapter, as the rains return, the cinemas open, the children play and the orphanages are rebuilt, the reader cannot help but feel that Hosseini's understandable longing for a beautiful return to life for the oppressed people of Afghanistan has made for an ending that is just a little flimsy.

The H1N1 virus was created in a laboratory. The media has not covered this angle of the story.

Even though many might not believe it, HIV was introduced as a hepatitis vaccine to the gay communities of San Francisco and New York City in the late 1970's. The makers of the virus did not realize that bisexuals existed at the time therefore the disease has spread like wildfire throught the world claiming the lives of millions and counting.

We have been led to believe that the HIV virus somehow jumped species. That is false.

While the HIV virus is transmitted through contact with blood and sexual intercourse, H1N1 is airborne and causes flu like symptoms. No one really knows what happens after a patient recuperates from the latest health threat. Some believe that it might debilitate the human immune system as does AIDS.

So far we have only been told that the H1N1 flu is a mutation between 5 different viruses.

Countries have taken drastic measures to secure their borders.

In New York City and here in Japan many train commuters are wearing protective masks. I believe everyone should adopt extreme measures to protect themselves especially after discovering an interesting timeline of the H1N1 virus.

19-year-old Pvt. David Lewis told his drill instructor that he felt tired and weak, although not sick enough to skip a training hike. Lewis was dead with 24 hours.

The autopsy revealed that Lewis had been killed by "swine flu," an influenza virus originating in pigs. By then several other soldiers had been hospitalized with symptoms. Government doctors became alarmed when they discovered that at least 500 soldiers on the base were infected without becoming ill.

March 24, 1976

President Ford orders swine flu shots for all.
40 million Americans were inoculated, and there was no epidemic.

October 1976

Mass vaccinations started in October, but within weeks reports started coming in of people developing Guillain-Barré syndrome, a paralyzing nerve disease, right after taking the shot. Within two months, 500 people were affected, and more than 30 died.

1978-1981

Through World Health Organization inoculations that were contaminated with the virus. The first program was in black Africa in 1974 with the smallpox inoculations. They then went to Brazil and other Hispanic countries and did it there. In 1978, they laced the gamma globulin for the Hepatitis B vaccine because the homosexual population was the greatest consumer. That's why it showed up first in the United States in the homosexual population and why it was claimed to be a homosexual disease. Nothing could be further from the truth, but it was something the Evangelists took up quickly, saying that AIDS was "Gods curse on the homosexual". People didn't worry about it who weren't gay. Date when possibly 3 US viral samples misplaced from Fort Detrick (read down).

A 2008 FBI and DOJ investigation concluded that Bruce Edwards Irvins, a microbiologist, vaccinologist, and senior biodefense researcher at the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) in Fort Detrick, Maryland, was responsible for mailing anthrax to members of Congress and the media in September and October 2001.
The fact that Irvins apparently committed suicide shortly before the announcement led many to suspect that he was a patsy in a wider plot. Despite the suspicious circumstances, no autopsy was carried out on Irvins’ body. His attorney was certain that Irvins, who had cooperated with the 6-year investigation, was innocent of the five anthrax deaths.

Fears that a mass pandemic was being readied as a biological attack have rumbled on in the conspiracy community ever since 9/11. Investigators point to the highly unusual number of deaths of top microbiologists to suggest that people with knowledge of the program are being eliminated.

Baxter, an International pharmaceutical company based in America, has just been caught mixing live Avian Flu virus (H5N1) with common flu virus, in a flu vaccine. Baxter International’s research facility in Orth-Donau Austria was the facility that shipped the contaminated flu vaccine to other facilities in the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Germany. The incident was discovered by a technician in a facility in the Czech Republic, who injected ferrets with the vaccine as a normal test procedure. The ferrets died.

According to a local resident, symptoms included fever, severe cough, and large amounts of phlegm. Health officials recorded 400 cases that sought medical treatment in the last week in La Gloria, which has a population of 3,000; officials indicated that 60% of the town’s population (approximately 1,800 cases) has been affected. Veratect reported the Oaxaca Health Department (SSO) indicated that an unspecified number of atypical pneumonia cases were detected at the Hospital Civil Aurelio Valdivieso in Reforma, Oaxaca State, Mexico. No information was provided about symptoms or treatment for the cases. NSS Oaxaca reported that rumors were circulating that human coronavirus was spreading at the hospital; sources did not provide any response to these statements from the hospital or health officials.
Laboratory samples were sent to Mexico City for analysis; results were expected to be released sometime next week. According to NSS Oaxaca, health officials had intensified preventive measures aimed at mitigating further spread of the disease. Sources reported that the SSO also implemented a sanitary cordon around the hospital.

Ayat ini mengandungi seribu faedah jikalau di amalkan tiap-tiap kali lepas sembahyang sebanyak tiga kali, insya’Allah akan beroleh seribu faedah, barang siapa yang beramal ayat ini Allah taala akan mengadakan baginya jalan keluar dari segala kesulitan, Allah ta’ala akan memberi rezeki yang banyak dengan tidak di sangka-sangka dan Allah Ta’ala menyampaikan segala hajatnya, dengan beramal bersungguh-sungguh dan yakin kepada Allah, terlindung segala daripada bala di darat dan di laut.

Jikalau dibaca ayat ini kepada orang yang sedang sakit sebanyak 3 kali dan dihembuskan kepada si pesakit itu dan di jampi pada air sebanyak 3 kali diberi minum, insya’Allah si pesakit akan sembuh.

Jikalau mendapat sebarang kesusahan yang amat berat, kesusahan kerana kezaliman orang-orang tamak, oleh peperangan yang ditimbulkan oleh musuh-musuh Negara, beramallah selalu dengan ayat ini selepas daripada sembahyang lima waktu, mudah-mudahan segala kesusahan mendapat perlindungan dari Allah Ta’ala.

Jikalau masuk berperang menentang musuh, tiada binasa oleh terbakar, jika di pukul dengan besi tiada lut dan tiada binasa dari sebarang benda yang bahaya, hendaklah beramal ayat ini dan bertawakkal kepada Allah, baca ayat ini sesudah sembahyang lima waktu, baca ketika hendak tidur tiga kali, baca ayat ini ketika hendak keluar rumah sekurang-kurangnya tiga kali.
