The OCCC won our second Cricketer Cup title, beating Old Malvernians by 52 runs and in so doing&amp;nbsp; avenging two previous final defeats&amp;nbsp; on a drizzly and overcast day at Arundel.

It is with great sadness we have to announce that John McDermott died at his home on July 29 after a long illness. He was 78.

To two generations Mac was the heart and soul of the OCCC. The OCCC made light work of their Maltese opposition on the cricket leg of the tri-sport tour of island.  On Friday, Marsa Sports Club were thrashed by 168 runs and on Sunday a much stronger Malta national XI were beaten by 31 runs.

The OCCC season kicks off on Friday March 31 with the inaugural OCCC Golf Day at Hurtmore Golf Club near Godalming.

At present we have 16 players signed up but there is room for more. 
The cost is £26 and for this you get coffee and a golfers breakfast (whatever that is) on arrival, 18 holes and a lunch of steak and ale pie, chips and peas.

The season ended in late-summer sunshine and defeat at Cranleigh. For a time it looked as if we might finish with a win but Matt Crump’s idea of a weakened side still includes a former England allrounder at No.9 and it was not to be.
