Summer just kept getting busier and busier, what with classes, part time job, and everything else that went on during those hot months. Phew! But I'm glad to be back at UCONN. I've missed it so much.
So, there was only one point to this post, and by reading the title, and by knowing me in real life, you've probably already guessed what I'm about to say. I've been wanting to write this down for a while now, get the word out and everything, you know? I'm finding this post really easy, and yet really hard to make out. Like that makes any sense, haha. OK, here's the big news:

I'm gay.

There, I said it! That felt good. You know how you feel when a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders, and you're finding you can breathe easier, and it's not as hard to take your next step? That's how I'm feeling right now! It's an amazing feeling, finally having come to terms with my sexuality.
So, I'm not expecting any of you to be like "Oh my God, I would have never of guessed." No, I'm expecting most of you to have at least wondered about it, guessed, or simply assumed. I never was the most masculine guy out there.
Now that I'm out, I know my life has gotten a lot harder. It's not going to be as easy for me to be accepted with the general public, and believe me, I've already met a few homophobes that have made my life difficult. Which sucks, and is something I'm going to have to accept in the coming years. Hopefully, the general population will get over it's fear of gays. We're just like the rest of you, only we play for a different team. So what if we don't like boobs, vaginas , and all that. Don't you think in this day and age, things that aren't mainstream can't become accepted? There has to be a million examples all over the place.
I'm also going to have to learn some of the things I can't do anymore, like give blood, join the military, or get married (but that's why I have Canada, Our true north, strong and FREE, where I can be whoever I want). As for America....with liberty and justice for all...I'm starting to believe that's not true. I mean really, this isn't even a question. Do we really have equality in the US? Not to be hating, because I really like my life here in the States, but when you claim everyone is equal, can you at leat be trying to make it that way?
It's like a giant blindfold has been put over people, and they're being lead to where they think is right, but it's not. At least some people have the courage to take off their blindfolds and say "stop, this isn't right." I have to applaud those people, I really do. Having the courage so stand up for what you believe in, when a huge crows is shooting you down for who you chose to love takes a lot of guts. Hopefully, I'll be able to do that as well, and I'm looking forward to the experience (which will hopefully come in the near future). I cannot wait to raise my voice and defend this way of life that I have chosen for myself.

That's all for now, and I'm really glad I got that down. Thanks to all my friends (at least those I've told at this point) for their support. It's friends like you that have made this so much easier for me to live through this transition period of mine. I love you all for it.

dan
a new gay man

Mood: Exilierated - At this point, how couldn't I be?
Music: Glee - The first episode of season 2 aired yesterday. Duh
Location: Rainbow Center - Makes it easier for me. Everyone's so accepting here, and it beats being in my room.

The A Capella version of this song is so good. I love all their music. Check out their site at: www.sncmusic.com. They've got some great hits; their holiday album is hilarious. Basically, Summer 2010 - The College Way is pretty much the same as 2009 - The High School Way. Pretty lame right? Haha, I know. Whatever, I'm used to it and I've got over it.
Well, I guess there are some changes. I now have a job; I'm so happy. Since my Green-card finally came in, I can FINALLY get a job. Getting by on allowance before was SO NOT COOL. I'm currently working (in case you were wondering) at de maximis. it's a pretty cool job, and it pays well. I'm only doing it part time, so I can't really get my hands dirty, but next summer I hopefully will.
So, catch up on what you've missed in my life? It's July 2nd as I'm writing this paragraph. Canada day was yesterday. Hooray!! Isn't that exciting? My last informative post was in March, which was quite a while ago. I'm proud to say that since then I have stuck to my new years resolution, to get more in shape. I workout three days a week, which I'm really proud of. I was afraid I would stop over the summer because there was no gym nearby, but i've made due.

So i'm taking two courses over the summer, Calc and Chem. Calc is almost over, and I have a high B+, low A-. I'm so surprised, last semester I had a D+ so as to the change in grade, I have no idea. Chem starts soon, and that's the one I'm worried about. However, if it goes as well as Calc is currently going, I'm sure I should do fine. Here's to hoping that!!

OOf. Music video time. Sorry, random right? Gimme a sec...let me find one....

Uh Oh - Kyrah
Hmm...Ke$ha knock off? It's a good song, but it seems to be a little bit too similar to Ke$ha, topic wise and all. But, not bad. Not bad.

Let's see, I don't have that much else to talk about this time, sorry! I know you're all disappointed, haha.
talk to you all later,
Over the years, I have come across several great works of these types, and i still cannot get over how interesting they are. I mean, there are endless possibilities when it comes to this scenario, who better than a writer or director to explore them all? They bring about a whole new chapter in human history (or future if you will). Media of this type is hugely popular, from 2012 to The Day after tomorrow. I've experienced so many of these and am going to share my few favs with you all. how about I start with some of the books I've read....

Man, this sounds like I'm writing an essay, doesn't it? Haha, oh well. I'll try to have fun with this while keeping you all interested (but if you don't want to put up with me talking about books for the next few paragraphs, you should scroll down. If it helps, just look at the pictures).

One of my all time favorite books that I have read in this genre is "Earth Abides," by George R. Stewart. The story follows the life of a boy named Isherwood (Ish) Williams. At the beginning of the story, Ish is living in a mountain cabin in California, doing research for his graduate studies, isolated from the rest of civilization. At one point, he gets bitten by a rattlesnake and is forced to remain in bed until he can recover. While in bed, Ish gets horribly ill, and fears that he is coming down with something on top of the rattlesnake poison within him. When he returns to health, he travels back to society to discover that everyone has been killed by a deadly disease that has decimated the world's population.

Ish travels across the country, searching for survivors of this terrible plague. While traveling to New York city and back, he comes across and adopts a dog that he names Princess. He meets up with several survivors that are attempting to live off the food and trash left behind in the city. As he travels, Ish realizes that staying in the city would mean certain death, as there would soon be little to no food to live off of. Realizing this, he returns to California where he meets Em, a strong woman who he falls in love with and marries.

Once he meets Em, a new section of the book begins entitled "the quick years" and describes in a few pages the next 21 years of their life, how several other survivors joined their new "colony" and how their numbers began to grow rapidly with the large numbers of children being born. At one point, Ish remarks how "each child pushes the darkness back a little further", referring to the expansion of his now tiny world. After this brief section, the middle portion of the book describes the "year 22," and all the eventful things that happen during that period of time (i will not reveal that here, you'll have to buy the book yourself, the link is given). this is then followed by another interlude entitled "the quick years." This section marks an undetermined number of years as the colony moves forward in its life. After this, a third and final section marks the conclusion of the book, with an ending that I, myself found satisfying, yet wanting more.

There are several main topics that Stewart inserts into the story, one of these is the resulting return to nature, and how that will affect the world around them. The characters in the novel are forced to endure plagues of ants, and rats. buffalo and lions (i believe it was lions, although I cannot recall, sorry), as the natural words struggles to return itself to the way things were had humanity not existed on Earth.

The second topic that Stewart covers its the loss of technology and literature. Several times in the story, Ish remarks how much knowledge will be lost, and attempts to teach the children in the colony as much as possible. However, the children are reluctant to learn, having never experienced "school" as we know it. Ish fears that the colony will not be able to survive once the things left behind by the "Old Americans" as they are called, are gone. He fears that without guns and bullets, they will not be able to catch game, or without their supply of running water from the dam, that they will not be able to get enough water. However, as the years pass, the subsequent generations learn what they need to survive through Ish's careful guidance. As Ish was attempting to get the children to learn for school, he realized that they would not because it wasn't fun, so instead he tried to make the important things they needed to learn into games and fun activities. so, in an attempt to save his colony, he build the children some bows and arrows ( he "reinvented" them) and gave them to the children to play with. Later, the children took these bows, and adapted them to suit their less childish needs as the guns that they were using began to fail because of rust.

A third topic that Stewart covers is a reintroduction into myth and superstition into this new colony that does not understand the world around them. A child is confused by a coin with a winged lady on it (or something, I cannot remember) and asked Ish if that was what the "Old Americans" were like. The new generations believed the "Old Americans" to be almost Godlike, having built the impressive, yet imposing structures that the new generations know nothing about. Imagine living in a primitive world, but having a structure like the golden gate bridge looming out of the fog. what would you think? Ish also carries a hammer around with him, he's had it since page one of the book when he got bit by the rattlesnake, and it has never left his side since. The rest of the tribe sees Ish as their leader, and when Ish gets old, and asks one of the children to bring his hammer that was resting against the wall, the child refuses to touch it. Ish then realizes that the children have become very superstitious about this hammer, treating it as a symbol of power, and authority. in another time, Ish notices how one of his great-grandchildren explains to him how when building arrows, they fabricate the heads, out of coins. However, they only use "the red ones" for one type of animal, and the "white ones" for another.this lack of understanding about the world is very interesting, and could be where some of our very own superstitions come from.

all in all, i thought this an amazing book, and I will come back to it later, I promise.

So, for those of you that are bored with books, I am now going to talk about a T.V show (Yay!!!!). This show is called Survivors and it airs on BBC America. It takes place in Britain, and follows the story of a couple survivors of a massive plague that killed 99.9% of humanity. It's similar to Earth Abides, I know, but it's different enough and presented in a different media that it's enough to get me hooked.

The main character (and my favorite) goes by the name of Abby Grant. While the plague was happening, Abby's son was away at camp and Abby was left at home with her struggling marriage. Abby got sick with the virus and somehow managed to survive (the only one who did, sorry if that reveals too much, but it had to bed done). Once Abby recovers, she begins to search for her son Peter, because she believes he might still be alive because she survived. Throughout all of season one (in which there are only episodes :( so sad ) she is searching for Peter frantically, searching every possible lead she finds on his whereabouts, not giving up when they lead to deal ends.

Joining Abby as part of the cast is Tom Price, an ex-convict who we know little about; Dr. Anya Raczynski, a doctor that ran into Tom when he got in trouble and helped him out; Greg Preston, a solitary man that wants to go his own way; Al Sadiq and Najid Hanif, a playboy and child forced together after the plague. Each of these characters have their own backgrounds that make them unique, Anya attempts to keep her being a doctor a secret because she was devastated by the fact that she couldn't save anyone from the plague. Greg doesn't want anything to do with them and wants to start a farm on his own, Tom is constantly confronted about his past, Najid is an indian child who lost his whole family. Al, the son of a wealthy father, had been living the good life, and is finding it difficult to adjust to this new world. Abby persuades them all to stick together by telling them that they will be able to survive easier on their own. the speech she gives is really powerful, and brings out the motherly nature she holds for everyone she knows.

I believe one of the major themes this show is teaching us is "are people basically good or evil." In this new world, the survivors have to decide between what is now right and what is now wrong. Am I allowed to shoot someone if they try to steal my food? What are the new rules in this strange world? Tom is always quick to raise a gun to anyone who threatens Anya or the rest of his group. Is he doing what's right, or taking advantage of people? In a time like this, all the rules we currently possess change. what was wrong before might be right now, and vice versa.

through all media of this Genre, it is interesting to read about how the next generation is effected by whatever disaster befell mankind. One such example of this is the novel "flood," by Stephen Baxter. This novel depicts a world that is slowly flooding due to oceans under the crust breaking open, flooding the whole planet over a span of 65 years. near the end of the novel, when some of the main characters are on rafts, (I'm sorry, but I do not have the book and cannot quote it properly) the children are described to be diving down to depths and for lengths that were previously thought impossible to be done without aid. With no knowledge of the "old world," this new generation finds themselves in a world that for them has always been like this. Then have no feelings of loss at all. They have no memory of a New York City, trees, or insects. I think it's amazing how authors depict how the newest generation adapts to their world. It's truly inspirational, even if it's not real.

Well, that's about it. I hope you enjoyed my spiel, sorry it took so long. Next time i'll inform you of what I've been up too. Promise.

See you all soon,
I don't know what it is about this song that i love, but i think it's amazing. When I hear the beginning, all I can think about is a beautiful sunrise. Weird? Probably. Sorry, haha.
so, it's not yet spring and I'm kinda mad about that. I mean, seriously Global Warming??? couldn't you just kick in for once and make spring come a little earlier? I know I know, as an environmentalist, i'm not supposed to think these kind of things, let alone write them. but so what if im cold. I have a right to complain. I want spring NOW. I want it now. Spring break is going to be so cold, I am not looking forward to it at all.

Anyways, next topic. the olympics. did you watch them? I know I did, every possible minute of it. i mean, why wouldn't I? My home country was hosting. can you guess which one? Hmmm... this might be hard....haha, k. it's Canada!!!! You should have known that, right? some people are out there are so bad with geography. this one time i was on chatroulette.com with this gal from Kansas. she didn't know where CT was, thought it was a city in mass. sooo funny!!!
oops. haha, back to the Olympics... well. Canada got 13 gold medals. I'm so happy for us. most we've ever gotten, and the most gold medals total for any country this time around. Canada also was the host country to ever win the most golds in the winter olympics. awesome, eh?

Perhaps I have passed you while walking down the street sometime. did I say hello? Was I nice? No? how unfortunate. Perhaps we can get to know each other soon. Wouldn't that be nice.

Anyways...

So, first post of 2010!! Isn't that exciting? I haven't posted anything in a while, and like a classic blogger I feel it is necessary that I add this next sentence...

I'm sorry that I haven't written anything in a while.

Phew! glad I got that out! It seems that every blogger that hasn't written in a while has to include that sentence in his or her first post after a long break. I didn't want to be the exception...

Anyways, I'm probably boring you to tears right now. Here's a Kleenex. ha ha.

Sorry.

Anyways, you're probably wondering what my new years resolution is, since i managed to keep my last one perfectly. I'm so proud of myself for that one. So my thinking is that since I did do well on my last, this new one must be that much better. O.K. here it is: to apply myself more in school to get a 3.263 GPA this semester and to get more active by going to the gym more often. If all goes according to plan ( as it doubtlessly will. fingers crossed) I will look like a combination of me, Einstein, and this dude....

ha ha. Idk who he is but I would KILL to look like that. (Take a look at me this time next year and I will look like that...

I WISH)

Anyways, there were some more topics that I wanted to post on this post. give me a sec to try and remember what they are.

Uhhh.... sorry still in vacation mode. Ah! Christmas! ha ha. Christmas break was fun. Not amazing fun, just fun. middle kinda fun. I didn't really see anyone except for the three time all month. Three times in a month? that's kinda sad. even for me. I'm sure I can do better next time. So anyways, I got some nice stuff for Christmas. some books that I had wanted. like this one. I love Robert Jordan (The Gathering Storm (Wheel of Time))!! Then I also got some American Eagle clothing, which is like the best!! Love that store. I'm afraid I can't recall anything else that I got b/c i forgot. oops. But those were my fav. things anyways.

So I'm taking some more classes this semester, 17 credits up from 13. It should be a challenge, but I'm totally up for it. My classes include: Chem 1128Q, Math 1131Q, Engr 1166, Cse 1010 and Psyc 1100. Unless you go to UCONN you probably don't have any idea what those classes are. I'll explain:
-Chemistry
-Calculus
-Foundations of Engineering
-Computer science
-General Psychology
All in all, they will be tough, but interesting. here's to hoping I can keep up!!

So, I recently applied for a summer job at de maximus, inc where my neighbor works. de maximus is a environmental clean-up company that also does various other environmental acts. If I get the job I would be soo excited. I think it would be a great experience for me in my major. Who knows? Fingers crossed

well, that's about it. I can't think of anything else to write, so i'll catch you all up later.

dan

Mood: Relaxed - Just got back from the gym (yes!) and am in a good mood
Music: Pandora, Lady Gaga radio -Love Pandora, and love gaga. She is soo good!!
Location: Dorm room - Chris has like a million friends over.
Fitting, isn't it? Thought so, thanks.
I never knew halloween was so popular in college, I should have known though, Halloween is the only time you can dress like a slut and it's perfectly O.K. Slutty Docter, Slutty Witch, Slutty cat, slutty cop. It's all the same. Of course, not everyone dresses up like this. Some people actually take time to make their costumes.
My Halloween actually started on tuesday when I carved a pumpkin at work. It was so much fun, but it didn't look very good afterwards. I carved another one on Wednesday, this one was better. I did it with my friend Megan. We did a ghost. Well, she did most of it, pretty much all of it actually. I felt kinda bad.
On Friday, Putnum was having its Halloween Lunch, Megan and I worked then, scaring people. We weren't very scary. Friday night, i went over to Gordon's. There, we carved apples (don't ask, but it was fun. Even though mine sucked), watched Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog (I love this. I have watched it so many times since seeing it for the first time: I'm obsessed), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (#2 for all you who have no idea), and Donny Darko. That was a weird movie. But i liked it, and understood it, thanks to some help from Moe and Gordon.
We finished at two in the morning, lol. I decided to walk home instead of spending the night, b/c their ground is hard. On the way home, I found a $1000 bill. It was totally fake, but I didn't know that at the time. I freaked out and got so excited. I'm so glad I only texted a few people about it, sort of embarassing. lol. Hey, I was tired. So when I got home and turned out the light, Chris pointed out that it was totally fake. I decided to tape it to my wall, just so that I would always remind myself how gullible I am (for all of you our there, that obvously means incredibly gullible). Hopefully now I won't ever do that again.
so, Saturday. got up at noon, I lost my husky one card sometime earlier so I couldn't go out to eat. I ate an apple and started studying for Biology. Moe called later and said that she had it. i ran out to grab it and get something to eat. It was very windy. Just thought you might want to know. I ate and returned home (to my bachlor's pad, lol). Once I had gotten back, I resumed studying for Biology until I had to go to work.
There was nothing remotly interesting going on at work, no very many people were dressed up, perhaps four or five. I did serving line again, which I love so I was happy. Putnum closes at seven fifteen, and after that timee start cleaning and we finish aound 8 each night. the thing is one of the managers or something, will turn off all the light at around seven twenty to seven twenty five. I'm all for being green and saving energy and everything, but I'm afraid I have to toe the line when it comes to cleaning food and stuff off counters in the dark. whatever, I'm over it.
Ballroom Party. It wasa blast, We danced and partied, I'm really sorry, but I'm writing this soo late (past halloween, not at night) so I don't remember anything. I'm really sorry ballroom people, its not that I don't love you I do, really. I wrote notes down about what to write about next, because I knew i wouldn't have remembered it alone. I was also supposed to write something about moes place, I think I already did, but it was below the ballroom party so, who knows......

Well, to cap it off, this was such a lame post. Sorry readers, that's all for now. Catch up with you later.
Sunday I was supposed to go to to Harvard Beginner's Ballroom competition. that ddn't work out so well. You see, I got up for seven to get ready and all. I had set my alarm for seven, to be up in time to go at eight thirty. But, when my phone alarm went off at seven (thank God), my clock alarm still said six. As far as I know, something happened and my clock set for daylight saving time. Who knows why, but I haven't changed it back yet. I probably should though....
So anyways, I was just gtting out of the shower and was putting pants on (it was about 8, real time) when chris finally came back from his night of horror and stuff. So, Chris was all like "So, we're not going, Caroline is sick." Caroline was our driver, who was going to get us to Harvard. So, I had to call Megan, I was really sad. really, really sad. i called her, and she was cool, but I suspect she wasn't...
Because of this, I was up two and a half hours before the cafeteria opened. Which sucked. I ended up watching Hulu until eleven oclock. I watched flash forward and it was awesome! Then I watched two other shows and went for brunch. It was funny, because t only took me three minutes to eat b/c Moe wasn't there with me (but it wasn't as fun). I had dance at noon so i didn't have anything to do until then. so, i went back to my room and watched more hulu until five to noon. Oh, and BTW, Chris was fast asleep this whole time, he went to bed as soon as he came home. I went to dance after and it was a lot of fun. after dance, I went home and working on my scedule. Its all completed btw, 17 credits, but I want to take one more for fun! At around 5, I txted moe and asked her to lunch. I know, crazy right? She texted me back and we went out for DINNER. DUH! so, moe brought mario kart Wii.

BAD IDEA!!

After dinner, I called my mother and we moe and I went for Ice cream at the co-op. We went over to Gordons after that and played wii for two hours. Then, it was almost ten oclock and i was all like "I still need to do my Chem homework. so I used moe's computer and calc and did most of it. Most. After midnight I started eating my half of the icecream (which means I technically broke the rules b/c it was Monday by then). We played more mario kart. i was playing rainbow road one singl player while moe was doing something. She came back and took the controler from me to beat the level. I was so mad.

Oops, I almost forgot. Gordon's toilet wasn't working and Moe really had to go pee. the two of them argued for five minutes (lol). i ended up having to go pee too so i was all like lets go next door and sh was like noo, thats awkward. And I was like, i'll talk. and she said sure. So we went over andI asked them....well you know. So, Moe noted that they had a hello kitty toaster and I noted that they had another mattress under the bed (lol). their bathroom was really gross.
Later, (this is totally out of order) Gordon and I played Monkey balls and I totally lost. Badly. It was really late by then so I just stayed over. I put all the cushons on the floor and slept on them and some blankets. It was a lot more confortable than last time. but I got cold. really cold.

Well, that was it for my Sunday (and some Monday). I'll be off now, see ya!

Dan

P.S Moe wanted me to say something about a fish. But I forgot, sorry
P.P.S Oh, for some reason, I feel like this post is really really really funny, but I know that when i read it again, it won't.
You name it, someone's got an obsession for it. Mine? Internet websites. NO, not porn smartass. The funny websites, the ones that are so easily addictable.

1. People of Walmart

http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/

This website is soo funny!Just look at this hilarious picture, Chewbacca was spotted in Walmart a while back. Guess far far away and long long ago aren't actually that far away (or long ago). Some of the pictures on this site are so funny. The outfits some people put on these days. Shame shame tisk tisk. Most of them are down right awar and strage, but they all a hoot! I never knew so many people wore short shorts and tye-dye. Especially old people. Bead outfits, tons of frills, spots and checks, you name it, they've got it!

2. Texts From Last Night

http://www.textsfromlastnight.com/

So if you've never heard of theis website, you must be living under a rock. this website is made up of text messages that people have sent to someone else. They're HILARIOUS! Examples:

(212): It was confusing and full of hummus

(913): I told her Billy Mays couldn't convince me to sleep with her

(443): he was so excited that he found the elusive clitoris. i was like look christopher colombus, just because you found it doesnt mean you knew what to do with it
(519): and then she said I drew a line on her forehead with my cum and whispered "Simba"
(407): i went to disney world today with my friends, met snow white, then saw her later at a bar. she is naked next to me in her bed, passed out. when you wish upon a star...
(919): so I was just driving high and I stopped to let a pinecone cross the road because I thought it was a hedgehog.
(215): i got kicked out of Barns and Nobles cuz i put all the bibles in the fiction section
(847): i took some ambien and I TRIPPED out...i went into my mom's room to say goodnight and i don't remember anything...she said that i got really pissed at her because we were living in the Keebler elf tree and she was visiting other trees, then i started laughing hysterically and she goes "whats so funny?" and i go "there are 7 people sitting on my knees" and she goes "doesn't that hurt?" and i said "no we're sitting in a bowl" and then i capped it off and said "join the crazy train bro" and passed out.

There are so many more of these hilarious texts. They keep getting better and better. On the site, there are pages of "good nights" and "bad nights." You can't help but cringe at some of these, but you're usually brought to tears by the rest.

3. Not Always Right
http://www.notalwaysright.com/
Moe introduced me to this one, and I'm really mad at her because of it. This site is similer to texts from last night, but for this site, employers and workers and such send in conversations they'ver have with some pretty wacky customers. Examples:
The Imperial Left Or The Metric Left
Hotel, London, UK
Guest: “How do you get to a cash machine??”
Me: “You exit the hotel, turn left, and then–”
Guest: “Turn left?”
Me: “Yes, left.”
Guest: “Left?”
Me: “Yes, left.” *pointing with my hand*
Guest: *confused* “Left…right…”
Me: “Left in England is the same as left in America.
Guest: “Oh, okay! I get it!”

Too Much Violence On TV, Even More When It’s Off
Call Center, North America
Me: “How can I help you?”
Customer: “You shut me off!”
Me: “I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems. Let me pull up your account.”
Customer: “I ain’t got no d*** account with you, you rip people off so I figure I’ll rip you off, and then you go and shut me off again!”
Me: “I’m sorry sir, what address is this for?”
(Customer gives his address and is documented for repeated cable theft.)
Me: “I’m sorry sir, but this account needs to be paid for if you want to have cable service.”
Customer: “No it don’t. I’ll just go on back there and hook up my wires and it’ll come in fine.”
Me: “Yes sir, that is possible, but it’s against the law to tap into lines without a paid account.”
Customer: “Well you better make it harder because I’m just gonna go hook it up again, and you better stop unhooking my lines.”
Me: “I do apologize, but I’m afraid we’ll continue to take down any unauthorized hook ups, sir.”
Customer: “Yeah? Well, I’ll be waiting with a shotgun next time!”
Me: “I’m pretty sure that’s illegal too, sir.”
Customer: “No it ain’t! I got the right to bear arms and if you come out here, I’m gonna BEAR ARMS ON YOU!”

Constructive Criticism For The Music Industry

Retail, Massachusetts, USA
Me: “Hi, welcome to **** Music, how can I help you?”
Customer: “Yes, I’m having a little trouble with this CD.” *holds up a Carrie Underwood CD*
Me: “All right, what’s the problem with it?”
Customer: “Well, I was listening to that song, you know, ‘Before He Cheats’.”
Me: “Yes?”
Customer: “Well, the lyrics don’t really make sense in one part.”
Me: “Excuse me?”
Customer: “Well, you see, she says, ‘I may have saved a little trouble for the next girl, because the next time that he cheats, you know it won’t be on me’.”
Me: “…”
Customer: “You see, she hasn’t really helped the next girl at all. She’s saying he’ll cheat again, and that it won’t be on her, so it’ll be on the next girl! That next girl isn’t being helped at all!”
Me: “…so there’s nothing wrong with the CD itself?”
Customer: “The lyrics don’t make any sense at all!”
Me: “Ma’am, if the CD itself plays correctly, then…”
Customer: “Well, I’m saying it DOESN’T play correctly! The words are wrong!”
Me: “Ma’am, there’s nothing I can do to change the lyrics of a song.”
Customer: “Can’t you just call her up, and make her change them? I mean, really, it’s in her best interest, since her song would make more sense, and more people would buy it that way!”
Me: “Ma’am, let me be sure I’m understanding you. You want me to somehow call Carrie Underwood, and have her change the lyrics to her song, which has sold millions of copies, because you don’t approve.”
Customer: “Exactly! I knew someone would understand. The other store I went to didn’t help at all!”
Me: “Ma’am, are you saying that, not only is the actual CD playing without skips, and the disk is not scratched, but that you bought it somewhere else?”
Customer: “Well, yes. So, can you call her?”
Me: “No, ma’am. I can not.”
(The customer refused to understand that I could not, in fact, change the lyrics, and spent another 10 minutes trying to explain why she was upset.)
Hospital, Mississippi, USA
Me: “Okay, sir, just a few x-rays and we’ll be done.”
Patient: “Please make it quick. I don’t want to glow when I leave!"
Me: “No, sir, I promise you won’t glow. That’s just an x-ray joke.”
Patient: “It’s dark out! I can’t glow or I’ll be seen!”
Me: “Sir, I swear you will not glow.”
Patient: “NO GLOOOWWWIINNG!”
Me: *gives up* “…The glow afterward is so faint, no one will ever see it.”
Patient: “Oh…okay, then. Proceed…

I could go on and on. this is perhaps my favorite website, there is soo much, i could just keep adding and adding the best ones forever!
4. XKCD
http://www.xkcd.com/

this website is all comics that some guy made (sorry, can't find his name at this moment. I'll find it later and edit them). The humour is a little different, and it takes some time to get used to them, but once you do, its highly addictable. He has many themes in his comics, like velosoraptors and things. Some of them are quite cute and sweet, this is one of my personal favourites -->

When you scroll over all of his comics on his webpage, an extra paragraph comes up on the topic. for this one, the paragraph is: this was an actual mock conversation between me and a friend at TGIF. The waitress walked up around panel 5 and was somewhat put off.

I'm having trouble writing this post because 'm spending all my time on these websites looking at the comics and stuff. Especially this website. I love it so much. On to the next one...

FATMA is my Chem teacher. FATMA SELAMPINAR. I don't think I can ever write her name in lowercase letters, it just doesn't work.

So, in my Chem class is Megan, she's awesome. Super cool and a lot of fun. she's in my bio and Chem lectures, labs and discussions. She works with me up at Putnam so I pretty much see her all day. don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds.

So, FATMA, back to my topic. Well, I don't really have much to say. That's kind of sad, I was soo prepared to talk about her for three pages, guess not.

Oh, I can say that Megan and I laugh about everything she says. This one time in class, she went on about pizzas. Cups of cheese, sauce and dough. it was totally random and had nothing to do with what we were learning. or, maybe it did, IDK, we weren't really paying attention.

Then, she was all like "study the book. The book is your bible." We laughed so hard. We went home and took pictures of us praying to the textbook. It was soo much fun. They're on Facebook, check it out:

Isn't that so funny?! The light coming in the window was perfect. There are so many more, but this is the best one. That's my opinion there.

So. that's about it for that topic, but onto another.

Emma F. if you're reading this, I want my full poptart. Or else.

Don't worry, i'll still take you out to lunch of you don't....maybe... Ha Ha Ha *evil cackle, rubs hands together menacingly, shifting his eyes back and forth*

that's it for now,

TTFN

dan

Mood: Disgruntled - That's also my word of the day. Blame FATMA (For my mood, not my word of the day)

Location: ??? - I can't tell you that
Music: ??? - That one either, it would give my location away

Yesterday was intense, really intense. (see post #8).
So, as Chris had mentioned, there were indeed two stabbings. The one that Carol and I saw went by the mane of Jasper Howard. He was on the UCONN football team and had contributed greatly to the winning of yesterday's football game (38-25). Jasper was sent to Windham hospital before being airlifted to St. Francis's hospital where he was declared dead Jasper was the first in his family to make it to college and "often talked about his dream of making it professionally so that he could support his family" (http://www.courant.com/sports/uconn-football/hc-uconn-stabbing-jasper-howard-1018,0,69181.story). His family lives down in Miami, Fl and will be flown up to Connecticut soon. One of the saddest things that I heard about this, beside's Jasper's death, was that he was a daddy-to-be.

I think my heart stopped.

I can't even begin to wonder the despair that his girlfriend must be feeling right now. His girlfriend lives down in Florida and was up over the weekend to visit him. The devistation she must be going through is too great for words. It is a wonder that she was not at that party. My heart goes out to her as she raises the baby. this may not be fact, but i have heard that the child will have many many "uncles" as the football team will make every attempt to make the child's life as good as it can be. Talk about loyalty to a team member. I think that is so amazing what they are doing. The whole team must be going through such a hard time at this moment and this child will surely bring them even closer together and allow Jasper's memory to live on forever. Also, I suspect that when that baby is born, every single team member will be in that hospital room on the day of the delivery (if it's close enough or feasible to pull it off, she does live in Florida). If so, wouldn't that just melt your heart? if that was in the news, i would be so estatic; we don't see enough of that these days. We need more compassion in this world.

For everyone's sake, I seriously hope everything works out for Jasper's girlfriend and child. Jasper's memorial service should be soon and I'm definetly going to attend if possible. I'll make every attempt possible and I hope some of you do too.

Thats about it for now, I'll write more soon, thanks for reading,
So, post #7 is so last year. So much has happened since then. So, Carol and I tried downloading that thing to my computer, but it wasn't working. Carol was all like. "I want food. Like, real food. How about we go down to the U? Are you up for it?"
"Hmmmm." I said, not sure. It was cold out, 45. "Sure, fine."
"really?"
"Yea, no problem. I'm in the mood for some ice-cream. I hear its Dairy Ban ice cream."
"really?" Carol asked. "But it's cold."
I shrugged. I went to my room to grab my stuff, Chris had just finished his movie and was getting ready to walk his friends home. I put on some warm mitts and a hat and we left. We walked to the U quickly, shivering. I had to go pee. Sorry, just stating the facts.
We went into the building and I got my ice cream and Carol got her wings. I also got this gross protein shake from Odwalla. don't get it. So, we had just sat down when the fire alarm went off. It was kind of funny, no one moved. Everyone was all like WTF? and stayed put. Eventually, after we had all gotten on our warm mittins and things we left.
We walked out the building to the back. i was really curious about what had happened. Carol wanted to go home, but I said, "let's take the long way, and walk around the front of the building." carol agreed and we walked around, taking the long way towards the front (we exited around the back) and the street. When we got there, everyone started coming out of the building (there was a huge party or something) and standing around. Chris was there, apparently not walking his friends home (there were still with him, wrong direction from their place). We called out to him and chilled for a bit. Chris ate Carol's wings. I drank my gross protein shake. i'm detirmined to finish it.
These two guys were fighting and everyone started to run towards the fight. We did too, hey, we were curious. But, by the time we got in sight, the cops had broken it up. bummer. I asked Chris what happened, he said there was a fight. i noted at that point to Carol, that Chris was a good networker and that if you needed any info, talk to him. He knows everything.
Chris then left and went somewhere. Thats when it happened. We were standing on the side walk, talking about the cops and stuff. We weren't really looking into the street, but at eachother. Someone was being really loud, yelling and everything. someone then ran past us and jumped on the ledge we were standing beside, he was clutching his gut, with an intense look of pain on his face. he lifted his shirt up and looked at himself he was facing slightly away from us so we couldn't see anything. before we could react, he ran off towards the entrance to the U.
"What was that?" I asked.
"Was he stabbed?" Carol asked, shocked.
"OMG!" I yelled, but quietly. I was kind of scared and did not want to attract attention to myself. I suspect Carol didn't want to either.
We couldn't see the guy anymore so we both turned back to the street, to see who had done it.
"Is that blood?" Carol asked.
"Where?" i replied, I had no clue, i was looking on the ground on the street but didn't see anything.
"The guy with the blue shirt." Carol said. (He was one of the people who were fighting before, i realized at that moment. I saw him screaming bloody murder at this other guy before the first fight had happened). It was true, the guy in the blue shirt (bright blue, he looked cold. It was a t-shirt. Carol was wearing two jackets) had blood on the back of his shirt, in the center. I don't know how it got there.
A police officer questioned the guy. It was a bit far away and I couldn't hear much. The guy in blue was with his gfriend or something. The officer asked him for his student id (I think), but he said he didn't have it.
so, after that, Carol and I turned to eachother to acess what had just happened.
"What just happened?" I asked.
"I don't know." Carol said slowly. We discussed if for a few minutes, we walked out of the way, of course. We didn't want to get into the middle of it.
Chris ran up to us then, yelling (quietly) for us to get out of here. he started to push us back around the U. "Whaever you do. don't go that way" Chris said to us, gesturing towards the mob of people. He turned around and walked back, we haven't seen him since (he's ok, don't worry). We walked around the U, talking about what had just happened. I was all like, "i'm so blogging about this" and Carol was all like "i am so calling my parents." i did, she didn't, we decided against it, it would be on the news anyways. But she did text everyone, word gets around fast. We were then back on the main road that the U was on and watched a police car and an ambulence roll by. I decided then that I was going to call Chris and see if he was ok. i pulled out my phone and he was calling me. Fancy that. he hung up before I could get to it so I called him back.
He was making sure I was Ok. I was, dont worry. I filled him in on what happened, and he told me that there might have been two. I'm not sure, i dont remember.
That's about it. the two of us are back home now, safe and sound. don't worry about us.ttyl

Dan

Mood: Scared - only a little, but excited at the same time, and nervous, i hope that guy is alright
Music: The sound of gossip - it's all over our hallway now
That's how much money I've made so far on this blog. I didn't think that was for real. The blogger people said I would earn money for the ads on my blog, but I never thought I actually would! How exciting is this people! Come on! Now, all I need to do is get that big check. Hopefully it will have a little more money in it. Please please please.
So, about my day, I bet that's all your reading this for, right? my daily life analysis. Yea right. OK then. I started up by waking up to Sean Kingston's "Fire Burning" at eleven thirty. Someone called my roomie to talk about their night or something, I'm not sure, I was trying to wake up and couldn't tell. don't worry, I'm not mad at him for having his phone on the loudest setting. I was thankful, strange as it may seem. I needed to get up and did not want to spend the whole day in bed. That would have been bad, there was another shift I had been planning to puck up at Putnam i needed to get ready for.
So, i got up, went on facebook and harvested some crops. I LOVE FARMVILLE. it's kind of addicting. Sad, really. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be playing it though. Oh well.
so, I went to breckfast w/ Carol. all she has were some grapes and a coffee. I had a glazed donut (hey, it was the weekend), and a wrap. We chilled for a bit (like always)and exchanged phones. We checked our mail, none for either of us :(
I then went home and Blogged my heart out, as per Carol's advice (thanks so much).
After that, I went to work. I did the dishroom and valedine. I asked Lucy, my boss for the day, what the word valedine meant. She didn't know and neither did I. that's why i asked. So later, I was checking someone in, and instead of handing me her Husky1Card, she gave me her Mastercard.
Diologue:

I grabbed the card from her outstretched hand. I turned to slide it throught the machine, noticing it wasn't her Husky1Card. I froze. "Ummmm...." I said, unsure of how to address her careless mistake.
She blushed, grabbing the card from my hand. "Oh how stupid of me." She said, flabergaster. "I always do that. I'm so stupid."
Me: ...

That's how it went down. FYI.
After we were done cleaning up, Lucy was all in our faces like: "Sign up for extra shift! There are a lot that need filling. Go! Go! Go!"
No, JK, she was very nice about it. Very nice. Don't worry Lucy.
So after work, I went over to my friend Matthew's place and we watched "Anchorman." It was really funny, I liked it. Except for the part where his dog was drop-kicked off a tall bridge (it's OK though, the dog lives, you see him three months later) oops. Just spoiled it for you. Sorry.
So now I'm back at home, with Carol. Again. This always seems to happen, we hand out a lot. It's fun, you should try it someday. Chris is in my room, watching Asylum with some friends, so I'm over here, in Carol's place. We're downloading something onto my computer, i'm excited.
that's it for now, i'll see you all tomorrow, busy day tomorrow. i'll tell you all about it, don't worry.

Dan

Mood: Happy - I'm making some money on my Blog, and I made 5hrs worth of money at work today
Music: Elliot Smith - Not bad, not bad. Carol's music. i like it
Location: Carol's pad -Again.

Yo! Yo!
I'm so happy my Bio exam is over. I studied a lot. First at Gordon's w/ Moe (see previous post), then I went home and studied with Dave and Alex from acoss the hall. Moe and I went to the bio exam after first studying in the cafe right before. We had a good review and I think we leaned a lot.
After the exam, which went pretty well, of course. I went home and watched Glee and Fast Forward. They were really good. I love both the shows. They're amazing, I love both of them like I do Fringe.
So after the t.V shows, Carol came over and we had lunch. It was still really cold out, but at least the snow had stopped. Carol and I chit-chatted for about 20 minutes. I had a wrap and she had a turkey sandwich on toased bread, which she claimed "totally changed the flavor of the sandwhich." That's a quote, you can ask her. After lunch, we raced eachother back to the dorm and everything. Carol beat me the first time, but I beat her the second. We've proven multiple times that the elevator is a lot slower than taking the stairs.
So now, we're watching a Clockwork Orange right now. I started the book a while ago but never got quite into it.
the movie is a bit weird. these kids just beat this old man, then we almost watched a rape scene, but those kids came in again and beat up the rapists (the almost rapists.) It was graphic. I couldn't watch.
Now they're driving in a car really fast. The effects are so bad, you can tell its fake.
Well, I'm getting really excited for the party tomight. john, one of the room mates wants me to do a job for him, and that way I dont have to pay. Back to the movie. They just invaded these people's house. They have these really cool pod chair things. They're beating up another old man and taped his wife's mouth shut. His wife is really young. She must be a trophy wife or something. oops. another rape thing. Why am I watching this? its really weird. The guy is singing "singing in the rain" while cutting up the wife's clothing and wearing a pinocchio's nose.
All these rich folks are drinking milk. and now this woman is singing "ode to joy" by someone. She has this Lady GaGa look about her b/c of her crazy eye make up.
Sorry this post is so random, but i'm having a lot of fun.
Lol, now the guy is at his house. He collects watches (or steals them) and has a snake in a drawer under his desk.
AHHHH! Explosions, cave men with rocks falling on them, and vampires just flashed across the screen. it was totally random. His mother has a purple afro, yellow high socks and red pumps. Well, it's not quite an afro, but I'd definetly say its purple. Bright purple. Yuck. That's something you dont see every day. Or any day for that matter.
the kid's name is Alex. He says 'brother' a lot, i think he's Australian. I think this is where I stopped reading, because I thought it was so weird. Indeed, it is very wierd. Wow. there's a lot of sex symbolism in this movie. There's these two girls licking lollypops. need I say more?
now there having sex. Three of them. In fast forward. It was really wierd. They kept taking their clothes off and putting them back on over and over. It was really wierd. And the music. OMG. The music, it was the song that's kind of a racing song or something. All I think about is a horse race when I hear it. You'll know it if you heard it.

so much for doing my Chem, homework. I'm not really sure if i have any. I was going to check....
Back to the movie:

One of the guys is wearing lipstick, or so Carol says. I can't tell, sorry. They're all wearing white. I should have mentioned that before. So, they were walking down by this lake (in slow motion) and Alex randomly takes out his walking stick and wacks one of his friends in the nuts. Random. He fell into the lake and then Alex cut his wrist. don't worry, they're all friends again. Now this lady has like 30 cats. She does yoga on the middle of her floor. Ooh. she didn't fall for their trap like the other family did. The ones with the cool chairs. They pretended to be in trouble so they could get into their house.
This lady didn't fall for it, but they're going to climb in a window or something. She has sex pictures all over her house. See? told you. they came in throught the window. He's wearing that ugly nose again. she's attacking him with a composer statue (bach) and he's defending himself with this penis statue. Its weird. But there's some intense mucic. oop, the police are coming. He ran out of the house, but his friends hit him with a milk bottle. He got caught.
"this is the end of the line for me" one of the police men said (he was in another scene, it was wierd). That guy just spit on Alex. Yuck. On his face, who does that?
I think he's going to prison, but he's all dressed up is business attire. 14 years in prison. he killed that yoga lady with the penis statue he was holding. Alex's tie is too short. It looks like there in "a stockroom." Carol said that. I agree, there's boxes, shoe boxes all over the place. I love quoting people, sorry Carol. If you had a book, I would site you. don't worry. I don't plagarize.
He's in jail now, but there's a bunch of inmates, it looks like their in church. LOL. They're singing church music now. It's pretty bad. Now Alex is imagining about Jesus. Now Alex wants this treatment that claims to get him out of prison in no time at all and will be able to make them never got back or something. I dont trust Alex.... he claims to want to be good.
Ooh, there playing pomp and circumstance right now. Ahhhh.... the memories. I don''t think anyone's graduating though. Its just background music. There's this guy, he was stepping to the music, even though there shouldn't have been any music for him to hear. Hmmm....
Oh, he just got accepted into the program. He's standing on a white line on front of a desk. He can't cross it, he has to lean really far forward to sign this paper, it was kind of funny. Pomp and circumstance again. lol. Tht was durin g a scene where they signed paperwork and ripped forms in half. Random.
He's in the hospital now and is getting a needle in the butt. I'm so happy there was no nudity in this scene.
WHAT? They just strapped him to a chair (in a straight jacket) and strapped these things to his eyes so he couldn't close them and placed him in a movie theater. There's these electrodes all over his head. Um... watching a beating scene, then a rape one, he's feeling sick, and so am I. sorry Carol. LOL. oop, the screen just blacked out, oop. Screen saver. lol. They drugged him or something. They're drugging him so that he doesn't want to do bad things anymore. They'll make him feel sick and terrified. uh... they're showing old war clips now w/ wierd music. Carol would discribe this music as "curcus like? Carousel like? Opera like?" She doesn't know. And neither do I.
I''m glad that scene is over.

Oop, I think he's done the program. Let's see if he's changed....
yes. i think they did change him. They brought in this guy to make fun of him and beat him up, and he felt sick and didn't fight back. now he's licking the guys boot. He's a wus now, this is really sad. They didn't make him a better person, they just made him not want to fight. uh oh. naked girl. she's very hot. Weird though, no fro like all the others. Everyone is staring. He tried to grab her, but he cant seem to, its like he's going to be sick again....

Carol says this movie is like a prono. I have to agree with her...my first porno... awkward.
He's out of the treatment centeer and is back at home. His mother has a yellow fro now. Weird. Again. With Lady GaGa eyeshadow. He just tried to hit this guy who is living in his bedroom b/c his parents rented it out, but he couldn't and he started burping/dry heaving. lol.
Carol and I are going to have to look in wikipedia to see what's happening when the movie is over. i have no clue what's going on.
His mother just pulled tissues out of the middle of the couch. he just left his house for some reason and is now walking by a river and sees a bridge.....will he jump? zooming in on the water randomly....now the guy he beat up in the first scene has come back and acked him for something. i can't understand him or anything, but alex gave the guy what he wanted. No the guy reconises Alex. "Holy mother of God." He yelled at Alex. Now a buncho old hobos are beating him up, and he's not doing anything about it. But these policemen saved him....and they're his old friends! Fancy that. They arrested him or something, and now they're taking him somewhere in the woods. there's a lot of 'brother this' and 'brother that' going on. Ouch, they just beat him with a police bat. They submerged his head in a random metal bathtub in the woods and are beating the tub with the rod, making weird noises. He was under the water for far too long, they even didn't change scenes. but he's ok, of course. The police men left...
Scene change: enter random thunderstorm.
The first old guy is back, typing on his typewriter again. There's no pod chair in the house anymore, only someone wearing little to nothing and lifting weights. Bummer, i liked that chair.
told you this was a wierd movie. Oh, the old man is in a wheelchair now. will the old guy reconise Alex? Yes, but only because he was in the papers because of this treatment, not because of when he came in with his friends before and raped his trophy wife. LOL, old guy is suckin ghis thumb now. He has a new tpyewriter though, his old one was huge!!
The old guy is having spasms now.
He old guy just said "try the wine," didn't they say that in porates of the carribean? when the girl (whose name I forget) is on the boat with barbossa and he's feeding her and when he says "and the apple" she freezes, drops her chicken and sais "its poisoned?!" Remember? I do.
oh, we just leaned that the old guys wife died from an STD and that he uses the buff guy to carry him and his wheelchair down the stairs. I don;t understand why he would have stairs if he's in a wheelchair. surely they would install ramps.Oh, these people just came over, there are just enough chairs...
He can't listen to beightoven's ninth symphony anymore because of the treatment. I don't know why. ...He just passed out. it was a plot! The old man did something and now they're playing the ninth. He's burping and dry heaving again. The old man is smiling and being creepy. his eyes are rolling back into his head.
Alex just jumped out the window and killed himself.
Never mind.
he's in an almost full body cast; he didn't die. He's in the hospital and there's his bed and another bed beside him covered by a curtain. suddenly, the curtain flies open and the nurse runs out with her top off, the doctor behind her. i wonder what they were doing...
his mother has a purple fro again. His parents are apologising to him now. his new doctor has blue hair. Nope, it's purple. Sorry.
I seriously think that if i ever reread this, I'm going to think I was hi (high) while writing this. it's soooo weird.
Seven minutes left. not much is happening, I'm going to finish soon. Margaret wants to read this. Hi Marg!
all in all, it was a good movie. I wouldn't watch it again. I bet if you were drunk, it would make total sence or somethinng. Oh well, that's it for now.

i'll write more soon
dan

Mood: Weird - this is the weirdest movie I've ever seen.
Location: Carl's pad - It's sweet. Pretty chill.
Thoughts: none - i've lost all powers of observation after watching this movie.

Study! Study!

Hey everyone! It's me again, of course.
I'm currently at a friend's house. I'm watching Fringe right now. It is the best show it the whole world. I'm totally obsessed with it. I listen to a Fringe podcast and everything. It's a but loud in the house right now, they're cleaning and fabreezing every songle room. it's really loud so i don't really know whats going on. I'm probably going to end up watching it on Hulu tomorrow. There's something implanted in this guys brain, it's kind of creepy, but cool at the same time.
So, I know this post is supposed to be about studying for my Bio exam tomorrow, but my friend (Moe) and I are going to start studying after Fringe is over.
B.T.W Moe is my best friend. And no, i'm not saying it because she was the first one to ever read my blog (first and only at this point i think), but because she really is. We're always hanging out together. tomorrow, we're going down to the campus core to to tye-dye some UCTV T-shirts. I'm hoping to also tye-dye my Bio lab coat. I think that would be really cool.
After that, I'm going to a party at my friend Gordon's house. It should be fun, but I've never been to a college party before (well, tecnically I have, but it was for only ten minutes, so it didn't really count. so I think). I''m looking forward to it.

OOH! This guy just did this thing to this woman so that she started to see this cook fry hands and arms instead of burgers. She just took a carving knife and raised it high to kill him with a malicious look in her eyes and.....
comercial.

AWWW.......
Bummer.

Great. I don't think we're going to get any stuying done. There's still a lot of yelling going on. John (one of the roommates) is putting up all these posters all over the house in preparation of their party tomorrow (don't ask me, I have no idea why).

Yea, I'm totally not going to be able to study at this rate...

We're moving furnature now. It's really funny yet random. Ex. "VICTORY", yells Gordon, running back inside. "The snow's gone!"
I laughed.
Well, Fringe is over now, I watched all of five minutes.
That's it for now, I'll be back though

dan

Mood: Anxious - Bio test tomorrow, need to study, but I don't know when I'm going to be able to.
Music: T.V - it's still on, even though no one is watching it at all. The news is on.
Location: Gordon's pad - gordon has the best place ever. It's a freaking apartment!

Happy Thursday.

I'm so happy, I had such a good night sleep last night. I actually managed to get out of bed really easily this morning. I had to go to work, so i wasn't happy about that. :( But work wasn't so bad, there weren't that many people in the dining hall so i got to chill a lot. I got back to my dorm room and only then remembered that I had a meeting with my advisor. I had five minutes to grab my stuff, change and run to whereeverI needed to be. Which btw, I had no clue where it was. I went to the wrong room and had to ask this really nice man for directions (we had to google it). I finally found it and we did a lot of stuff. I've been thingking about declaring a minor, so who knows???
I'm back at home right now, resting before I start my homework. I still need to do my bio prelab and my bio lab report. Grrr!!!! They'll take some time, and I still need to eat. Mmmm, I wonder what's for lunch!? SO, after I've done that, I'll go do more work, then head off to my Bio Lab. I hate my Bio Labs. They're so hard, long ans stupid. I really do not want to go, but I have to. Grrrr!!!! After that, my friend and I are going to Dr. Abbott's lecture for the Exam we have on Friday. I need to start studying for that, this lab stuff is taking up all of my time. After that? I really dont know. I want to go to the Lip Sinc tonight, but I also want to go to dance, but I also need to study. I'll have to see what happens. i'll tell you later, once I've done it. Oh Well.

Thats about it for now, I'm going to head out,
see ya!

dan

Mood: Tired - I know I got a good night sleep, but all this stuff has made me exausted.
Music: Nothing - Again, sorry. I usually am listening to something, i'm not really this boring.
Location: My dorm - once again, messy as always
Thoughts: nothing - I'm too much in bio mode to be thinking about anything.

I was born in Lahr Germany on April 1st 1991. I later moved to Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada. I lived there for three years until the end of kindergarden. The town is really small and very far up north, so far in fact that it snowed on my dad's birthday (August 28th). when I was in Grade 1, we moved down to Beaconsfeild, Quebec, Canada.
I lived there until th eend of Grade 8, where I moved to Simsbury, CT. I lived there all throughout high school. Now I am currently living in Storrs, CT at UCONN. There, I am an Environmental Science major, but i'm thinking about double majoring in Environmental Engineering as well. That would be really cool. What do I want to do with my life? I would love to work with alternative energy, I think that is so utterly cool! Solar, wind, biofuel, nucleur, geothermal. Anything. I go ape over it. OOK! OOK! OOK! That was my ape noise.

Shoot, I promised myself I wouldn't do that!. Darn.

So in my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing stories, photography and ballroom dancing. Ballroom is my life, I practice so much and I have some really amazing partners! That's all I can think of that's important at this point, so I'll do more later.

See you all soon.

dan Duggan

Mood: Tired - fell asleep at 2:30 last night, because I was doing a lab report for Biology.
Music: Nothing - I'm too lazt to put my iPod in, or turn on iTunes, I'm listening to people yelling outside though....
