That's what they call it in Batangas. It's actually pork cooked on its own fats. Most of the time when I cook pork let say for "sinigang" or "adobo" etc. I usually remove the fats with skin and cook it as "pupur". It can be a "pulutan" or can be eaten with rice. I use to eat it while cooking my menu, hehe. Chili vinegar is a good pair for this.

In front of our house is a very small garden. My husband notice a bad smell just near our door step. It smells like rotten rat or spoil fish, something that is really not good or irritating. Only to find out that there is something mysterious in our garden. I was not able to take picture of it but looks like a white colored thing, I can't describe the shape since its disoriented but there is a sticky green thing on its top that is making the bad smell. Flies are actually attracted to it. I got a headache when I went near it due to the foul odor. He said the pulled that thing before but it came out again so this time he decided to dig the ground. We find out that its root is tangled to the plant beside it. He then removed both the plant and the foul odor thing. I started googling and find out that its a fungus just like what our neighbor says. Its actually a stinkhorn fungi. It actually comes out during cold weather. Its Christmas season and the breeze is quite cold so I guess that is why it come out I hope not to see it again in our garden because its really really a annoying.

We just move May of last year to our new house. We celebrated Christmas at my mom's house so we decided to welcome the new year at our house. We don't have any vistor so its just the four of us, me, my husband and my two kids. We prepared spaghetti, bread, ham and fruits for the evening. Nanay gave us something for desert like ube, ginatang bilo-bilo and graham. She also give us kare-kare and menudo. I let my kids sleep in the afternoon so that they will be awake on new years eve. After eating we spend the night watching fireworks (we don't have any fireworks except for a small "lusis" that we did not use) and taking pictures. Our neighbor had a video and drinking session so my husband stayed there a little bit. I think we slept our 2am and in the morning we went to Batangas to have a splash at Endaya Cove. It was a great day to welcome the year 2012. Thank you Lord for all your blessings!!!

Singaw or Mouth Ulcer

I don't know what could be causing it but this December I had a very bad mouth ulcer or also known as "singaw." First was before Christmas I had one on my tongue. Its so bad because its on the side and it hits my teeth when I try to talk or chew. It was really a big relief when it disappeared however I had another very bad one after Christmas. I noticed that the side of my upper right gum hurts, only to find out there is another "singaw." This time its one on the gum and one on the cheeks opposite to it. I'm not sure if its causing it but I feel the tooth near the gum with mouth ulcer hurts a little bit too. I'm still hurting as I write this but anyway this doesn't stop me to enjoy the food this Christmas holiday. @_@

It should be our first Christmas at our own house but then we decided to celebrate it at my mom's house along with my brother Darwin's family. Like last year I cooked some of the food like kaldereta, fried chicken and carbonara. I also made coffee jelly as requested by my mom. It was a quiet evening since none of our neighbors are outside. Anyway my kids enjoy the night specially when its time to open their gifts. Good thing they sleep in the afternoon so they are awake in the Christmas eve.

Since I was small we used to visit my Tito Vic's house to have Christmas Party. Now that they have a resort in Cuenca, Batangas called "Endaya Cove" the party was held there again just like last year. I was not able to trade schedule so me and my husband followed after my shift. We arrived there around 1pm. Although the resort has been there for a while the tricycle driver doesnt know the place since its not open to public. The resort is in a hidden place and the road is not yet fix. The rain makes the way tougher. I was really surprised when the driver says we need to pay P120, wew.

When we arrived everyone had eaten and is waiting for the program to start. We went to the big " kubo" where we usually stays and have our lunch there. After a while the program started. It begins with raffle of toys for kids. Good thing David did not cry when he was not called in the raffle. Rhaine was able to get a pink teddy bear and me a shoulder bag. Robin was not called too even in the cash raffle. Anyway my two kids was able to get P700 each and toys from Tita Melet. My kids also enjoy swimming in the cold pool. Its really relaxing to unwind once in a while and be with nature.

Even though there is a bad rumor about Chicboy, a story about a very big caterpillar on their kangkong food that would not stop me from eating at this restaurant. Maybe until I experience it. Anyway I tried their lumpiang sariwa for P45. Its not something amazing but I would say "swak lng." I would love to try their other menus.

Chicboy Near SM Bacoor

Chic-boy across SM Bacoor just opened two days ago. Since we wait for our shuttle near it we are able to eat there on their grand opening. The place I would say is good, the space is enough for people to move unlike Mang Inasal in SM Molino, its not cold but enough to relax and enjoy your food. They offer bottomless iced tea for only P25, very good deal and also their main meals include unlimited rice. This would really be a threat to other food chains inside the mall. They don't offer appetizers yet which are different kind of chicharon that we are able to eat in Chicboy in Las Pinas. Anyway since I am still full I tried their "dinuguan and puto." Its so "sulit" for only P48, it includes two pieces of puto plus a medium bowl of dinuguan. I would love to try their other meals if time and money permits, hehe.

Well, I've mentioned that I took Leisure 18 Orange Juice for two weeks. I stopped for a week and drink again for another week, the remaining juice for one week more is still on top of our refrigerator. I no longer want to drink it because of what I read about the bad content of the said juice. Anyway when I visited my OB last Monday I find out that I lose weight from 62kl to 59kl, wew. That is from 136.4lbs to 129.8lbs much better number, hehe. Anyway just like I said its not that noticeable but I did feel that some of my pants are a little loose. But still the belly that I want to disappear is still bulging, urgh! I guess that needs a little work out. I am not sure if I can do that. Holiday is just around the corner and the 3kls that I lose might come back, waaaa. Haayss.. I guess I just need to accept reality, lol.

Wow! I just turned 30 last Sunday.... it makes me feel old.. urgh! Life is really fast and I can still remember those days when I was still studying and just thinking of homework and how to pass my grades. Now I have my own family, a loving husband and two adorable kids. We just moved to our new house May of this year and starting to build our dreams for our kids. At this age I no longer dream of having a big party during my birthday. I just want to be with my family and have a simple celebration. Last Sunday I spent it with my mom and dad, my brother's darwin and his family in Tagaytay.

In the past few days FB was attacked by someone spreading pornographic picture and also pictures showing violence. I would say this hacker intention is destroy the image of FB.... but what more surprising is another evil came out using this news this time to destroy the image of the Philippines. This is also spreading in FB, different blogs and over the web. The article is stating the porn attacked originated from the Philippines.

Brief Analysis
The message is an absurd hoax and should not be reposted. Mark Zuckerberg has made no such statement.

I have noticed that most people in Facebook are posting pornography photos, sharing them which is bullcrap. If Apnea is a sincerely law-abiding citizen (despite being an alt-porn model), why can’t Filipinos do the same? C’mon, we’re always the target when it comes to sex. Foreigners go to the Philippines not only to tour around, but also because of sex.

This didn’t happen before. Unfortunately, since these porn thing went viral and shit, I think there’s something that we really have to do. Don’t just sit there and drool over these porn photos, you think it’s funny? Sharing pornographic material is really a sign of disrespect towards other people. Everything that is related to violence and porn, they’re just sick.

Pornography is not for general viewing

Basically, pornography is one of the social issues in the Philippines. If FHM is pornographic, Playboy’s worse. MAXIM isn’t bad, but it’s still for the matured people. Hentai, however, is alright since Japanese culture thinks that hentai is for entertainment. Why, do you think being a gravure idol is indecent? Malicious? Porn? If Japanese pop culture thinks that this is normal, what about the others? Of course, it’s malice. Malice, like everyone’s showing their kids pornography, which is again, indecent.

I really don’t know what to say, but let’s just hope that there are a handful who will report these photos…

Hear goes the saying "Wag magsalita ng tapos." I've mention on my earlier post that I will not drink this again. However I changed my mind, hehe (bakit bawal?) Since I still have one box I decided to start drinking it again today. For the sake of vanity..... waaaa.... Will be having our christmas party on 2nd week of December and I am hoping to lose even a little weight before that. I did not lose weight I think on my first two weeks of drinking it but I feel that my pants is not that tight anymore.. maybe an inch less. Hoping for at least a little result. I will not buy this again... let me just consume this box since I already bought it.

I got my credit card from Metrobank last October and I got a P3000 worth of voucher for Swatch. It will expire on November 30, 2011. Last Saturday we had our team building at Tonya's at SeaSide. After our yummy seafood lunch which is another story we went to SM Mall of Asia. I decided then to use my Swatch Voucher. At first I am thinking buying either bracelet or ring which I saw from the internet. However they only offer watches. I am not fond of collecting watches, I only buy new watch if my old watch either get lost or damaged. I think my last watch was way back 3 or 4 years ago when our yaya stole it (wew!). I also don't buy very expensive watch, currently my watch is casio which I would say is very good. I have it for maybe 4 or 5 years and replaced the battery once. I have a hard time choosing.... until I decided to get the black watch with black and green leather strap. My favorite color green ... makes me decide. This is the first time I would have a Swatch Watch and I am happy about it. It cost P5000 so I only pay for P2k, not a bad deal. It comes with two years warranty. I am very excited when I got home. When my husband saw the watch he liked it and asked for it, wew! I agreed and told him that would by my birthday and christmas gift for him. His birthday will be on November 21. This is one of the most awaited fight of the year, Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines vs Juan Manual Marquez of Mexico. This is consider as their 25th round. Marquez believes that he won the 1st and 2nd battle that they have. That is why there is a 3rd fight to prove who really is the winner. Based on the result, still a lot of people have their own belief. Some still believe its Marquez and some still Pacquiao. I still watched the fight even though I already heard over the radio that Manny won by unanimous decision after 12 rounds. I want to see how he won. There is not much of an excitement. I am expecting Manny to give Marquez a big blow and bring him down but it still lasted up to the last round with no much of a thrill for me. Anyway below is their final punch start report.

Malacañang announced November 7, 2011 as a regular holiday due to Eid'l Adha, a muslim feast world wide. For me, who is working in a call center its just a regular working day but of course with additional holiday pay (weeee!). It was my niece 8th birthday and we are invited to have a splash at Amadeo Balite Falls. I am not fond of swimming but my kids are really excited about it. I was told its a river and not the usual swimming pool or beach. On the way are lots of trees, looks like we are entering a forest. We arrived there past 8am and we are the only visitor. My sister-in-law actually got a little frightened how come there are no people. When lunch came a lot of people arrived. If you love nature and splashing in cold water I'm sure you will like the place. Just be careful because some of the stones are slippery. My kids started to play right away on a small pool like that is getting water from the river... with water falls. It was a fun experience and if you would like to have a little adventure you can try to visit this place. The entrance is only P60.... we got the cottage for P600.
