You never have to pay a penny for them. Here’s the low down on Bid4Prizes:
The site is supported by ads. They are able to offer really, really awesome free prizes due to the revenue they make from their advertisers and clicks. You are never asked to click on anything or register for any b.s like “free trials”.
Its actually a neat, actually FREE site that gives you a chance to win cool stuff. (NO SHIPPING CHARGES EITHER!)Bid4Prizes is NOT like an eBay auction. The goal of playing this game is to have the LOWEST bid on an item. The person with the lowest UNIQUE bid wins. So this means that .01 IS NOT going to be the winner because obviously more than one person picked that as the answer. All you have to do is have the lowest unique bid guess and the prize is yours. The answer could be .02, it could be 3.87 – who knows.

That’s what makes it fun.READY FOR THE IMPORTANT STUFF???!!!Article continues below :There’s NO FEE EVER too play. You get FREE tokens and you spend those like cash. You can win up to 1 million REAL DOLLARS with your free tokens.PRIZES : Besides the normal prizes you bid on (Wii, Laptops, Gas Cards, Video Games, etc),1 player a month wins $10,00040 players a month win $100 and everyone gets a chance to win 1 million!Since they’ve opened, 190 people have won really cool things. You can see their profiles, chat with the winners and see what they have won on the site. Here’s how the actual “Tokens” work –Tokens are earned by playing games and stuff. Since Bid4Prizes is ad supported, they stick a little ad before each game.

You watch the ad, play the game, get the tokens then bid, bid, bid! (And hopefully WIN, WIN, WIN!)You can guess bids a maximum of 30 times per day. Your guesses can be on as many items as you want. You can only win one prize a month though – just to keep things fair. What’s really neat is that as soon as you make a bid/guess on an item, you’re told whether or not you have the winning bid. But watch out – even if you are winning, you may be bumped by another user.BUT, you can also bump other users by guessing their numbers! If you end up winning the prize, it gets shipped right to your door without you ever having to spend a single cent! Pretty cool, huh?If you want to sign up for free, you may do so here.
If you want to skip the ads & be able to bid 24 hours a day from your cell phone, click here. $9.99 charge a month. So I guess it comes down to time VS money.

Selling OuT Free SpAce

When I started working online with my friends and we had the idea of making money from selling free web space(aint that cool!!).The concept is very interesting and amazingly profitable! The best part about it is that it costs you absolutely NOTHING and you can make money relatively quickly with not much effort done.
There is also no limit how many free space u can sell from– Blogger Blogs, Mysapce profile and even Capazoo or Yuwie profiles(Will inform u about capazoo and yuwie in next post). While some companies have deemed this against their policies, there’s really nothing illegal about it whatsoever. So you maybe thinking – “Who on earth is going to PAY ME for a free Yuwie profile or Blogger blog that they could just create themselves?!” is that rightThe answer is: Businesses.
Just like you and I have myspace and Yuwie pages, businesses have them as well. Every business sees networking sites as a huge asset because it’s a great way to market their company for free. But, as we all know, if you only have two friends on myspace and one of them is “Tom”, your bulletins are as useless as a bicycle to a flounder.
This is where the demand for free web space comes into play.
Most businesses are not going to pay an employee to sit around all afternoon and add friends to a profile. Instead, it is much more convenient to simply buy a profile that all ready has tons of friends. This is where making money off of free web space comes into play.HOW TO MAKE USE OF FREE WEBSPACE TO MAKE MONEY (MYSPACE, YUWIE, CAPAZOOAND MANY MORE)You will want to being by creating a couple free profiles. Keep the log in information simple and professional because you will be giving it away.
Do not designate a url if possible. Here your ultimate goal is to rack up friends loads of them – as many friends as possible in the quickest amount of time. In order to do this you will want top make your avatar a photo of a smoking hot chick.Next, fill out some brief info on the profile, add a background, etc. Some of the common ways which are tested by me are – whore trains(this is a cool feature), forums, clubs, etc. I have found that whore trains(i have explained it below) seem to work best for Myspace friend adds while clubs work great for Yuwie. These days you can expect to sell your profiles for approximately $5 - $7 for every thousand friends. So when you decide to sell is up to you.
You can get 3,000 friends in a month and sell your profile for $20 or you can hold out until you have 8,000 friends and ask for $60.Its generally great to work at two to three profiles at one time because there’s really no extra work involved and easy to maintain and update, especially if you’re hopping aboard whore trains.(FYI: A whore train is a free site that lets you type in your myspace id and you get a seat on the “train”. Everyone on the train adds you and you add them. Then someone else will jump on the train and add you – the process continues for many days. Sometimes you’ll get 50 friends off one train, other times you’ll get 500).So lets say you have three profiles that all reach 8,000 friends in three months(its easy to gather this much fr).You then sell them individually for $60 a piece – you have made $180…OFF OF FREE WEBSPACE.And that my friends is yet another way to make money online with no investment.

Favicon For Your Blog

Click here to find out what a favicon is.

To put up a favicon on your blog at blogger.com, follow the following steps

1) First of all create a favicon or find one from the internet. Preferred sizes for favicons are 16x16 or 32x32 pixels. 16x16 is preferred as it works best with old browsers too. The favicon image file should have a .ico extension. I'm not sure if .jpg or other image extensions work for favicons or not. You can also use softwares for generating favicons. You can find such softwares by googling the term 'favicon generators'.

2) Once you have selected your favicon, then you need to get its location or URL on the internet. If you decide to pick up a favicon from the internet the copy the location of the image. If you made a favicon or your own then you need to upload it on some free image hosting sites like photobucket. After uploading your .ico file you need to get its location or URL.

3) If you do not have an account at any image hosting site or if you do not want to go through the tedious procedure of creating a new account, then you can try this alternative. Create a new post on your blogger blog. Upload your favicon image to this post. View your post in the 'Compose' mode. Right click the image and choose the 'Copy Link Location' option. Paste the copied link location in any text editor. Find the following phrase in the link '/s1600-h/' and replace it with '/s1600/'. Use this newly created link as the 'URL of your favicon image'.

4) Once you have the URL of your .ico file,
go to the dashboard of your blogger account > click on Layout > Edit HTML.

5) After clicking on Edit HTML you'll have the HTML/XML code of your blog template in front of you. Locate the tag in this code, it will mostly be at the beginning of the code so you'll be able to find it without needing to scroll down the code.

6) Just below the tag, you'll find the following line -
<title><data:blog.pagetitle/></title>

Put this line just below the line showed above.
<link href='URL of your icon file' rel='shortcut icon' type='image/vnd.microsoft.icon'/>

Replace 'URL of your icon file' with the URL of your icon file.

7) Save the changes and you've given your blog a new look with a brand new favicon!!!! [:)].

If you have further problems putting up a favicon for your blog, please post a comment.

Cheers,
Online Spectrum

Favicons:let talk about adding cool stuff to you blog

A favicon (short for favorites icon), also known as a website icon, shortcut icon, url icon, or bookmark icon is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage. The Microsoft Windows Shell also uses favicons to represent "Internet shortcuts" to web pages.
In much simpler tearm it is a logo in the tabbed view, this adds a glamour point to your blog or site .But the favicons are speciall images not just any images so you have to look up for them online.
In my next post i will tell you guys how to add favicons to your blog or site, till then enjoy and keep checking other post

So lets face it:Is Alexa really good...

Alexa is widely tooted as a must use tool by many marketing gurus. The problems with Alexa are:
Alexa does not get much direct traffic and has a limited reach with it's toolbar
a small change in site visitors can represent a huge change in Alexa rating
Alexa is biased toward webmaster traffic
many times new webmasters are only tracking themselves visiting their own site
Why do many marketing hucksters heavily promote Alexa? Usually one of the following reasons:
ignorance
if you install the Alexa toolbar and then watch your own Alexa rating quickly rise as you surf your own site it is easy for me to tell you that you are learning quickly and seeing great results, thus it is easy to sell my customers results as being some of the best on the market
if many people who visit my site about marketing install the Alexa toolbar then my Alexa rating would go exceptionally high
the marketers may associate their own rise in success with their increasing Alexa ranking although it happens to be more of a coincidence than a direct correlation
A lower Alexa number means a greater level of traffic, and the traffic drops off logarithmically. You can fake a good Alexa score using various techniques, but if it shows your rankings in the millions then your site likely has next to no traffic.
Alexa by itself does not mean that much, but it simply provides a rough snapshot of what is going on. It can be spammed, but if a site has a ranking in the millions then it likely has little traffic. It is also hard to compare sites in different industries. For example, if I created a site about weight loss there would be many more people searching for it than a site about knitting. Also, you should't forget the webmaster bias the tool has, which means my site will have a higher Alexa rating than it should.

More about alexa toolbar

Alexa.com is a subsidiary of Amazon.com. It is a website which provides information on traffic levels for websites. The Alexa rank is measured according to the amount of users who’ve visited a website with the Alexa toolbar installed. Alexa toolbar is an application developed by Alexa Internet. Its primary use is to measure website statistics. This toolbar collects as well as gives some valuable information. Once you install it, the Alexa toolbar monitors all your surfing and collects information about what domains you visit. They use this data to rank web sites. The traffic rank they assign to websites is based on 3 months of aggregated historical traffic data from millions of other users and is a combined measure of page views and users. Webmasters, advertisers and ad networks use your blog’s Alexa rank as a gauge to determine the worth of a link on your website. If you depend on link or site selling as a form of monetization you’ll definitely want to increase your Alexa rank, because it’ll increase your bargaining power when it comes to ad pricing.

Boost up your Alexa ranking with 20 easy steps

Okay guys now here is a collection of methods you can use to boost your Alexa Rank. Many of the tips are derived from several webmasters who claimed to have derived positive results through their experiments with the Alexa Rankings. Some of the other tips were derived from articles and sources.
Do these tips work? According to some, yes they definitely do work. But do note that most of them require active effort of some sort and hence, they will work as long as long as you are consistently performing specific actions.
To increase your Alexa rank in the long run, I would highly recommended that one should focus on developing quality content which attracts and maintains a large audience instead of purely focusing on artificially increasing your Alexa Rank.
Great link-worthy content will lead to an natural increase in site traffic and is an excellent way to passively increase your Alexa rank.
It is important to emphasize that you should devote most of your efforts in growing your site audience alongside integrated implementation of any of the following tips below.
1. Install the Alexa toolbar or Firefox’s SearchStatus extension and set your blog as your homepage. This is the most basic step.

2. Put up an Alexa rank widget on your website. I did this a few days ago and received a fair amount of clicks every day. According to some, each click counts as a visit even if the toolbar is not used by the visitor.

3. Encourage others to use the Alexa toolbar. This includes friends, fellow webmasters as well as site visitors/blog readers. Be sure to link to Alexa’s full explanation of their toolbar and tracking system so your readers know what installing the toolbar or extension entails.

4. Work in an Office or own a company? Get the Alexa toolbar or SS Firefox extension installed on all computers and set your website as the homepage for all browsers. Perhaps it will be useful to note that this may work only when dynamic or different IPs are used.

5. Get friends to review and rate your Alexa website profile. Not entirely sure of its impact on rankings but it might help in some way.

6. Write or Blog about Alexa Webmaster and bloggers love to hear about ways to increase their Alexa rank. They’ll link to you and send you targeted traffic (i.e. visitors with the toolbar already installed). This gradually has effects on your Alexa ranking.

7. Flaunt your URL in webmaster forums. Webmasters usually have the toolbar installed. You’ll get webmasters to visit your website and offer useful feedback. It’s also a good way to give back to the community if you have useful articles to share with others.

8. Write content that is related to webmasters. This can fall in the category of domaining and SEO, two fields in which most webmasters will have the Alexa toolbar installed. Promote your content on social networking websites and webmaster forums.

9. Use Alexa redirects on your website URL. Try this: http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?www.blogspot.onlinespectrum.com . Replace http://www.blogspot.onlinespectrum.com/ with the URL for your website. Leave this redirected URL in blog comments as well as forum signatures. This redirect will count a unique IP address once a day so clicking it multiple times won’t help. There is no official proof that redirects positively benefit your Alexa Rank, so use with caution.
10. Post in Asian social networking websites or forums. Some webmasters have suggested that East Asian web users are big Alexa toolbar fans, judging by the presence of several Asia-based websites in the Alexa Top 500. I suggest trying this only if you have the time or capacity to do so.
11. Create a webmaster tools section on your website. This is a magnet for webmasters who will often revisit your website to gain access to the tools. Aaron Wall’s webpage on SEOTools is a very good example.
12. Get Dugg or Stumbled This usually brings massive numbers of visitors to your website and the sheer amount will have a positive impact on your Alexa Rank. Naturally, you’ll need to develop link worthy material.
13. Use PayperClick Campaigns Buying advertisements on search engines such as Google or Exact Seek will help bring in Traffic. Doubly useful when your ad is highly relevant to webmasters.
14. Create an Alexa category on your blog and use it to include any articles or news about Alexa. This acts as an easily accessible resource for webmasters or casual search visitors while helping you rank in the search engines.
15. Optimize your popular posts Got a popular post that consistently receives traffic from the search engines? Include a widget/graph at the bottom of the post, link to your Alexa post or use Alexa redirection on your internal URLs.
16. Buy banners and links for traffic from webmaster forums and websites. A prominent and well displayed ad will drive lots of webmaster traffic to your website, which can significantly boost your rank.
17. Hire forum posters to pimp your website. Either buy signatures in webmaster forums or promote specific articles or material in your website on a regular basis. You can easily find posters for hire in Digital Point and other webmaster forums.
18. Pay Cybercafe owners to install the Alexa toolbar and set your website as the homepage for all their computers. This might be difficult to arrange and isn’t really a viable solution for most. I’m keeping this one in because some have suggested that it does work.
19. Use MySpace This is a little shady so I don’t recommended it unless you’re really interested in artificially inflating your Alexa Rank. Use visually attractive pictures or banners and link them to your redirected Alexa URL. This will be most effective if your website has content that is actually relevant to the MySpace Crowd.
20. Try Alexa auto-surfs Do they work? Maybe for brand new sites. I think they are mostly suitable for new websites with a very poor Alexa rank. Note that there may be problems when you try to use auto surfs alongside contextual ads like Adsense. They aren’t also long term solutions to improving your Alexa Rank so I suggest using with caution.
There you have it… twenty ways to boost your Alexa Rank and increase your site’s monetization potential.

Understanding ranking(taking the example of dosh dosh)

Since moving to his own domain (from Blogspot) in the middle of January 2007, Dosh Dosh has moved from a rank of around 3 million to the current Alexa rank of 21, 709 within two months.
According to Dosh Dosh the increase in web traffic was due to

"The growth has been consistent and I think most of it was due to the fact that the content on Dosh Dosh is orientated towards webmasters. As a first step, Alexa computes the reach and number of page views for all sites on the Web on a daily basis.
The main Alexa traffic rank is based on the geometric mean of these two quantities averaged over time (so that the rank of a site reflects both the number of users who visit that site as well as the number of pages on the site viewed by those users).

Why would you want to increase your Alexa rank?
Webmasters, advertisers and ad networks use your blog’s Alexa rank as a gauge to determine the worth of a link on your website. If you depend on link or site selling as a form of monetization you’ll definitely want to increase your Alexa rank, because it’ll increase your bargaining power when it comes to ad pricing.

ReviewMe, Text Link Ads and Sponsored Reviews are just three of the networks which base your ad selling strength on Alexa Ranks.

Problems with the Alexa Rank
Alexa ranking is heavily skewed towards websites which have a large webmaster/tech audience. This is because webmasters or web savvy audiences are much more likely to have the Alexa toolbar installed than websites whose visitors are unaware of Alexa.

As such, many have indicated that Alexa is a vastly inaccurate method of measuring a website’s reach, traffic and potential. I don’t disagree. Alexa is a silly way to measure web traffic but unfortunately, in an imperfect world Alexa is still heavily used by webmasters and ad networks when measuring the value of advertising on your website.

I understand the defects of Alexa’s ranking system and I’m not going to go into more detail about it here. What’s primarily important to me is that the Alexa Rank has become a central element in site monetization strategies.

I’m not concerned with the utility and value of Alexa but it’s perceived importance in the eyes of potential advertisers.

What Alexa does?

Alexa is a very powerful tool used to rank web site traffic.

Find out how your web site traffic stacks up against all your competitors! The company offered a toolbar that gave Internet users guidance on where to go next, based on the traffic patterns of its user community.

Alexa also offered context for each site visited: to whom it was registered, how many pages it had, how many other sites pointed to it, and how frequently it was updated. Engineers at Alexa, in cooperation with the Internet Archive, created the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. Alexa also supplies the Internet Archive with web crawls.

In 1999, Alexa was acquired by Amazon.com for about $250 million in Amazon stock. The company's premises are in Building 37 of the Presidio of San Francisco. Alexa began a partnership with Google in spring 2002, and with the Open Directory Project in January 2003. Live Search replaced Google as a provider of search results in May 2006. In September 2006, they began using their own Search Platform to serve results. In December 2006, they released Alexa Image Search. Built in-house, it is the first major application to be built on their Web Platform. Alexa also provides "site info" for the A9.com search engine.

In December 2005, Alexa opened its extensive search index and web-crawling facilities to third party programs through a comprehensive set of web services and APIs. These could be used, for instance, to construct vertical search engines that could run on Alexa's own servers or elsewhere. Uniquely, their Web Search Platform gives developers access to their raw crawl data. In May 2007, Alexa changed their API to require comparisons be limited to 3 sites, reduced size embedded graphs be shown using Flash, and mandatory embedded BritePic ads.

In April 2007, Alexa v. Hornbaker was filed to stop trademark infringement by the statsaholic service. In the lawsuit, Alexa alleges that Hornbaker is stealing traffic graphs for profit, and that the primary purpose of his site is to display graphs that are generated by Alexa's servers. Hornbaker removed the term Alexa from his service name on March 19, 2007.

Alexa ranks sites based on visits from users of its Alexa Toolbar for Internet Explorer and from integrated sidebars in Mozilla and Netscape. In addition to their own statusbar extension, Sparky (released July 2007), there are several third-party extensions for Mozilla Firefox.

Mozilla Firefox Extensions:

Sparky, Alexa's own statusbar extension

SearchStatus shows Google PageRank and Alexa TrafficRank

About This Site Firefox plug-in that shows metadata from Alexa TrafficRank

There is some controversy over how representative Alexa's user base is of typical Internet behavior. If Alexa's user base is a fair statistical sample of the Internet user population (e.g., a random sample of sufficient size), Alexa's ranking should be quite accurate. In reality, not much is known about the sample and possible sampling biases. Alexa itself notes several examples. A known source of bias is the self-selecting, opt-in nature of Alexa traffic tracking software installation, but the significance of this bias on rankings is not reported.<div reasons for failure in affiliate marketing in my list of ‘ 5 reasons for failure in affiliate marketing‘ is not getting enough traffic. Traffic is the life and blood of your affiliate business, in fact, any online business. So why some of the sites are always jammed with traffic and some sites are like abandoned roads with no visitors?

In this post I am going to share the techniques that will help you drive traffic to your sites.

1. When you are unknown, socialize
Social networking sites are now hot places to network with like minded people. In the virtual world of World Wide Web, you meet a lot of people from different corners of the world. This social networking sites has the potential to open a lot of subways to your website and drive traffic to your site. This is one of the most effective and economical ways to get visitors. Some of the networking sites you should definitely consider to promote your sites on are:

Facebook

MySpace

Orkut

hi5

Stumbleupon

Ning

2. The long tail Keyword and search engine traffic
There is a lot of targeted traffic waiting for you to be taken free of cost, if you can learn the technique of long tail keyword. Whenever you write an article, ask yourself 3 questions.

What kind of audience will be interested in the information you are providing in this article?

What are the possible phrases they may use to search this information in search engines?

Where these phrases used in the past on major search engines?

The answers to the above will help you find a list of keywords for that particular post/page. Now make sure you have those phrases sprinkled in the article. Make them bold.

Try to have one of your main keyword in the title of the post. If you do this for every article you write, you will soon see your site rank high in the search results for those keywords. And you will see a surge in your traffic from search engines.

3. Stumbling your way to unlimited traffic
Stumbleupon has proved to be a great traffic sender. It helps you connect with friends and share your posts, meet people that have similar interests, and check out what other people are discovering. The more people stumble your site (vote thumbs up), the more traffic you get. Creating a big network of friends can bring a lot of rewarding traffic that can be beyond your expectations.

Stumbleupon users channel surf the internet with the StumbleUpon toolbar to find great websites, videos, photos and more based on your interests. StumbleUpon recommends the sites based on user interests and display them those sites which have received more reviews and thumbs up. So the more positive stumbles your web pages receive, the more it will be recommended to StumbleUpon users.

4. Share your views with others in your niche
Search for forums and blogs which are in your niche. Make a list of those sites and keep visiting them regularly. Reply to queries of other members and share your views. Networking with others in your niche will help you gain traffic from those sites and you will also become a known person in your target niche. Make sure the content you post on others blog or forums is worth to read. Also don’t spam. Spamming can have a negative effect and make you less credible.

If you have written some great articles, email other bloggers in your niche and chances are they will link to it.

Make sure you have your site url linked to your main keyword in the signature of forum posts.

Write comments on other blogs

Write guest posts for other blogs in your niches

5. Write articles in article directories
Article directories are one of the best ways to get back links. Write quality articles and submit them to article directories. The more articles you write the more chances of your articles to be grabbed by other webmasters.

Article directories provide a Bio/Resource box where you can put an active link to your website. Many site owners visit these article directories and publish articles with your credits and links. This will not only help you getting direct referral traffic from these sites but also help you getting higher rank in search engines. The list of major article directories can be found below:

www.goarticles.com

www.ezinearticles.com

www.isnare.com

www.amazines.com

www.articlecube.com

www.articlebiz.com

www.articlealley.com

www.articlesfactory.com

6. Serve your audience like they are the king
While I will always argue that quality content is essential in drawing readers to your site I am increasingly convinced that one way to build your readership is to create spaces that people will want to belong to. Build an interactive place, where your readers could participate. Treat them with utmost importance. Give them recognition, post their comments, create spaces for them on your site. Spaces that your readers will promote for you. Let your readers take the lead. They will grow your site and will promote for you.

These readers will become your loyal fans and they are the one who will make your site grow beyond your imagination. They will visit your blog again and again and will advocate your blog to other readers. The more of these fans increases, the more your site grows in value. Remember, the online property you own appreciates in value if you have a loyal readership which is increasing day by day.

Basic tools for Affiliate marketing

One of the most important reasons for failure in affiliate marketing is not having proper tools. So choose your advertisers carefully.

* Before you start promoting any product, make sure you read the Advertisers terms and conditions.
* Many companies set a minimum payout level. Make sure the minimum payout level is not too high. Many companies try to fool affiliates by setting the payout very high, knowing that most of the affiliates will not reach there and hence they don’t need to pay for the hard work of affiliates.
* Many merchants use cookies to track your referrals. As most people don’t purchase on the first visit to a site, a cookie allows tracking your referral, even if he purchases after some days, you will be still credited for the lead or sale as long as the cookie is live. So the longer the cookie life, the more chances of getting paid for the sales.
* Make sure the affiliate links are setting cookies properly. A software malfunction or a buggy affiliate tracking software can rob you of commissions you deserve for the sales. So test your links whether they are setting cookies or not, before you start promoting the program.

Communicate With Your Advertisers:

* Communication with Merchants is very important when you are promoting their products. Contact the merchant, let them know how you are promoting their product and ask their advice for improvements. Merchants Affiliate Mangers will be eager to help you. After all you are bringing sales for that merchant. They may also share techniques used by other successful affiliates, which can give a real boost to your earnings.
* Communication with your Advertiser will also help you understand his genuineness. If your advertiser is not responding to serious issues, think again about promoting their products. Remember some Advertisers may have a lot of emails to answers, so at least give them some time. If you don’t get reply within 3 days, shoot one more email. Wait for another 3 days and if the Advertiser doesn’t reply, then should reconsider promoting them.
* If you are bringing good number of sales or leads for the merchant, negotiate for higher commissions. Sometimes, a merchant may not offer higher commissions, but he may provide you with some special coupons, to be given to your end users that will get your conversions even higher.

Do not depend upon one advertiser or one product:

* Diversification is one of the most important strategies in Affiliate Marketing. Don’t depend upon one advertiser or a product. If that program dies, your income source dies too. Choose different products and different Advertisers and build your affiliate business around them.

Know your Audience:

* It is very important to know who your visitors are. Where there are coming from? Knowing your visitors demographics is very important because the offers you target to them will be relevant to them. I have seen affiliates promoting products which are available only to the west to the audience from the East.
* Learn the patterns your visitors are following on your website. There are lots of tools available in the market to track visitors’ patterns on your web pages. Study those patterns and build sites that are audience friendly. I will list the tools that make an affiliate successful, in the next post of this series.

Don’t Miss the seasonal Trends:

* Every Season has some special products which can make your cash box ringing. Do some research on the buying patterns of consumers and find out the products which are hot in season. Promoting hot products lead to more conversions.
* Don’t forget the holiday season. It is one of the best seasons for both merchants and affiliates. Prepare for the holiday season in advance. Be up to date with Advertiser offers and inform your visitors as fast as you can. I will give you the tools to inform your visitors as soon as you get some exciting offers in my next post of the series.

These are some of the strategies which helps you build a affiliate marketing business model which is solid and reliable. In my next post, I will give you all the tools that will get your affiliate commissions rolling!

How to overcome five reason of failure in Affiliate marketing

Affiliate Marketing is such a great business venture which can make you thousands and thousands of dollars every month without the hassles of a traditional business. You don’t need to worry about managing inventories, processing payments, shipping, customer support etc. AND even then many affiliates FAIL to reach a mere $250 per month target and there are many who haven’t yet received their first check.

So why are most affiliates failing to make a decent earnings from affiliate marketing?

The five reasons why affiliates fail to earn decent commissions are:

1. Not Having a Proper Business Model
2. Not Having Proper Strategies
3. Not Having Proper Tools
4. Not Having Professionalism in doing business
5. Not Having Enough Traffic

In series of five Posts, I will give you the information to overcome the above reasons and succeed in Affiliate Marketing, starting with Affiliate Business Models below.

Affiliate Marketing Business Models:

Affiliate marketing industry is one of the fastest growing industries. The reason being, it’s easy to start. And since it’s easy to start, many people take it easily. And thus they fail easily. If you are serious about your affiliate marketing business, then you need to have one or many of the below listed business models. These Business models have proved to be successful and are making money for many affiliates:

Below are the proven business models for successfully making money in Affiliate Marketing:

1. Product Comparison Site:
Product comparison site is a proven business model. Consumers are searching for products and they want to compare them. They want the information about similar products before they make their buying decision. And if you can provide this comparison, you make lots of commission.

2. Shopping Comparison Site:
It’s slightly different then product comparison site. People who want to buy a product are looking for shops that are offering the best price. So with the shopping feeds provided by major networks, you can set up your comparison site and give your visitors, prices of a product from different shops. This is again one of the most successful business models and could make lots of money.

3. Product Review Site:
This is one of the easiest business models to do affiliate marketing. And since easy, thousands and thousands of review sites has emerged in almost all niches. For a review site to be successful, you need to build trust with your visitors. I always recommend my visitors to leave their own review. I follow up them with their buying experience and I put their reviews on my site. Honesty is the best policy on a product review site. And the more honest you are with your review, the more it shows in it. And this build a trusting relationship with your visitors, that will bring you many more commission checks in the future.

4. Coupon or Promo codes Model:
A coupon sites collects and build a database of all the available coupons from advertisers. These coupons are logically stored in database. Visitors can search for coupons for a product or for a particular shop. As the person searching for a coupon is in a ready-to-buy mindset, the conversions are very high. You need to be up to date with your site by adding new coupons, removing expired coupon etc. This business model is also very rewarding.

5. Paid Search (PPC):
PPC (Pay per click) as the name says, you pay for your ads only when some body clicks on them. On major PPC networks like Google Adwords and Yahoo Overture, you bid for the keyword. And if your bid is higher, your ads are displayed on top and are displayed more often. There are also various techniques to optimize your ads for them to get better ranking. If a click converts to a sale or lead, you earn commission, and hopefully profits from the difference in keyword cost versus earned commission. This is also known as ‘arbitrage’.

All the above business models above have proven to be successful. You can use one or more of the above business models. I recommend mastering one business model at a time and moving to another.

I will give you the best strategies that are proven to be successful in my next post!

Basic of Affiliate Marketing

Before going any further let’s discuss the basic five pillars or any affiliate marketing or we may say basic points about affiliate marketing, I will also be posting my views on all the points in my next post.

1.Affiliate Marketing Business Models.

2.Different strategy of making money in affiliate marketing.

3.Affiliate Marketing basic Tools

4.Being Professional in Affiliate Marketing

5.Web Traffic - The life & is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts.

Affiliate marketing is also the name of the industry where a number of different types of companies and individuals are performing this form of Internet marketing, including affiliate networks, affiliate management companies, and in-house affiliate managers, specialized third party vendors, and various types of affiliates/publishers who promote the products and services of their partners.

Affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to some degree, because affiliates often use regular advertising methods. Those methods include organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sense display advertising. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products or services offered by a partner.

Affiliate marketing—using one website to drive traffic to another—is a form of online marketing, which is frequently overlooked by advertisers. While search engines, e-mail, and website syndication capture much of the attention of online retailers, affiliate marketing carries a much lower profile. Still, affiliates continue to play a significant role in e-retailers' marketing strategies.
