I have finally been able to break out of my cave of a home and break free from some of my schoolwork (just finished laying down my timeline for my short film, "The Hero"), and I was actually able to go see a movie tonight, which one did I pick? Of course, The Host. I had heard mixed reviews about this film, although surprisingly not enough chatter. Maybe that's because I was so secluded this <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/blogspot/OatiW/~4/GYb7X9plV4Y" height="1" width="1"/>

The Hero is on it's way!!

Well, after a month of sleep deprivation, twelve to fifteen hour shoots, and working these grip muscles. I can say I am beginning to feel like I know something about film. The Hero, my student film about a unique story of PTSD, has been processed and I now hold the DVD Cam of my raw footage. I've had a lot of people want to know more lately about what I have going on in my life. And although I consider my life rather boring; all I do is hide inside the house and write one of my many projects or edit videos--except for the occasion I am out actually filming one of my videos.

But, I suppose that might be interesting to some.

I had to share this with everyone, because It touched me so much. Authors spend most of their days buried in computers writing thousands of words, posting here and there, frantically checking progress of their titles and finding ways to improve. It's a busy job and it's easy to get buried in the every day. I can't give this book any less than four stars right now although I am slightly disappointed at the conclusion. I know there is a sequel that I hope will finish this story off nicely. I was glad that there was a little less dirt and a lot more love making in this sequel, to be honest. I think I was beginning to get a little sea sick by<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/blogspot/OatiW/~4/up0TiSHkHgo" height="1" width="1"/>

Crash the Super bowl Ad!

I have to brag a little bit. Some colleagues and me, from my film school, decided to shoot this Doritos ad and enter it into the Crash the Super Bowl contest. Check it out! If we win, we get to have our commercial played during the super bowl and you all will get the pleasure of knowing it was you who got us there. I can't finish this book. If I am not completely captivated by the first three chapter I'm out, I don't have the time to finish. But, the writing is good the story is very thorough and interesting, jut not my type of read. Definitely YA.

I have to say that I think Ben Affleck may have found his calling in life. When the movie started out I thought I was going to puke, but as it went on I had to love it and admittedly I cried, a lot! This film started off with a car chase for at least two minutes and I though "no! who told you you could film like this?" It is my absolute pet peeve when movie makers try to use the raw video cam effect and forget to fake it on the super action packed bumpy ride. I rented this movie from Redbox, I had never heard of it before, but the synopsis really grabbed my attention. With Boondock Saints, Willem Dafoe as the main character this film was bound to be a hit. But what I hadn't expected was the depth and beauty of this film. I felt that almost every scene had some hidden poetry to it and lead me to eventually download the song from the "boss" Bruce <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/blogspot/OatiW/~4/BRHRCtYbIVk" height="1" width="1"/>

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/blogspot/OatiW/~3/BRHRCtYbIVk/review-of-movie-hunter.html" title="Review of the movie, "The Hunter"! Last week the doctor basically said that he was too undernourished to make it through a surgery. They have given him four months to live. However, in researching alternative treatments we found a cancer treatment center <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/blogspot/OatiW/~4/XK2uQjBQQaQ" height="1" width="1"/>

Review of "The Bourne Legacy".

Personally I was not all that interested in seeing this one, only because I sort of got wore out of Matt Damon and the Bourne sequels. Also, I am not all that much into action flicks. I do however love Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weiss. Ultimately I went to see this for my husband, and It was a good flick. There was some substance to Jeremy's character, which I liked a lot, and the story had a <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/blogspot/OatiW/~4/XZSiC2quong" height="1" width="1"/>

My review of "The Dark Knight Rises" and how the Colorado shooting affected my enjoyment of the movie

the poster in the movie theaters, and although I was happy the sequel was
finally out, I hadn't seen a lot of trailers and advertisements for this
installment and I <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/blogspot/OatiW/~4/T09VNv9mhbc" height="1" width="1"/>

<category scheme="http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#" term="Dr. Seuss.
