Or has it?

According to Harold Camping, a preacher from Oakland, California the world was going to end on the before mentioned date. However, <strike>to everyone's surprise</strike> absolutely nothing has happened. That of course is not entirely true; apart from events that most casually took part in our everyday lives, preacher's prediction of the apocalypse has triggered a worldwide discussion. There were those who supported and followed Camping's theory, and of course there were those who contradicted or even mocked the idea of 'Judgment Day'. While there is still an open debate going on in the media I have decided to give my two cents on the story and how I perceive it.

I consider myself being a person of science and therefore I was taught to use facts and empirical data to support my hypotheses. In other words, I am an observer that likes to analyse things that happens around me, and try to explain it in the best way available to me. Herewith, Harold Camping's prediction has caught my attention, and I have spent the last few days actively following the media and brain-picking the theory that seemed to have shaken up the world. The first step was to analyse the evidence for Camping's prediction. As Harold Camping himself has explained, he discovered the day of world's end by using mathematical system. After 70 years of studying the Bible he claimed to have used mathematics to interpret the prophesies that were hidden in it. Herewith he stated that by multiplying the three holy numbers: 5, 10 and 17 one gets a sum of 722,500 which is the number of days, from the crucifixion of Jesus Christ (1st of April, AD 33) until the end of the world. With that being said I could not help but notice the lack of thoroughness in the mathematical equation that Camping used to determine the final day. The holy numbers that were used are not the only numbers that are considered by the Christian community as being holy. What about number 3; a number of Trinity: Father, Son and a Holy Ghost? What about number 6 that represents the day that man was created? What about all the other numbers? Such observation allowed me to conclude that Camping's mathematical equation had little or no grounds, and was based merely on elusive reasoning.

The next step in the analysis of the Harold Camping's prediction was to think outside the box. Considering Camping's education (a former civil engineer) and status a world-know preacher person that owns 66 radio stations in the US only, one can only begin to appreciate mans potential as a strategic thinker and his intelligence in general. With such assumption, the previously made statement about the lack of thoroughness in Camping's calculations all of a sudden does not add up. How can a man of such experience be so sloppy in such a comparably heavy prediction? Moreover, one could assume that Camping surely had considered the outcomes should his prediction be proven to be wrong the next day. Herewith, discussing whether Harold Camping genuinely believed in his theory would be the right question to ask. At the same time, let it be known that by asking such a question I am by no means trying to accuse the man of knowingly and intentionally trying to cause a world-wide panic while having selfish intents for profits or fame. On a quite contrary, I suggest that Harold Camping is a man with a dream to abolish all that he believes to be evil; 'all the stealing, and the lying, and the wickedness and the sexual perversion that is going on in society', and so he uses every tool in his possession to try and make that dream come true. Therefore, I believe that Harold Camping used the prophesy of the Judgment Day not to warn people of the inevitable end, but merely to evoke people's hearts and minds with a hope that his call will be answered.
I do not know if it was the blossoming spring in the air or just the usual lack of sleep which reminded me of this thing I picked up on doing and let go all too soon. Four years have passed since my last post and I could not help but think how much have gone unnoticed, how many things left untold, and therefore I decided to write a little something to whom it may concern.

Shortly after coming back from university I sat down with a hot cup of coffee and opened up my blog to find all the old posts that were still there reminding me of the things I've done and how I felt at the times of writing it. With every post I read I became increasingly eager to continue what I have left off. However, as soon as I began to think of a theme for my new piece of writing I was overwhelmed by various questions: what should I write about first? What would be the best approach to reveal all the unspoken ideas? What should be the form of writing? Everything was spinning in my head, and everything from segment types through blog design I have considered, hand-picked, polished, and then just threw away seconds later. The coffee now was warm.

Moments passed, and I found myself walking back and forth my room, trying to put together that first post, that little pearl that never seemed to be ideal. Nothing seemed right! I felt hopeless, defeated by my own thoughts, and on the verge of surrender. Now I actually was considering deleting my old posts that only seemed to signify imperfection, and start fresh. Right about that moment it finally hit me; four years have passed since my last post. Four year of work, sweat and tears. Four years of joy, happiness and laughter. Four years of changes! Since that time I grew an awfully lot: I moved back to Sweden, I received my Bachelor diploma in Biomedicine and most importantly met a person of my heart. This made me think about my life and what I have achieved. At the same time it reminded me of all the things that I've done wrong, and all the things that I considered to be flawed. It reminded me of all the things that I wanted to change and made me realize that life is just like a large-scale video game that one plays over and over again just to do it better, just to reach that vague shape of a goal. However, the goal is nothing less than what one makes it to be, and herewith, it's in man's nature to continuously seek perfection, and it is in man's nature to never really reach it. For that it is crucial to leave behind a trace, a mark of one's path that will always be there to remind us of what we've done and what we are yet to achieve. For that I write this text to be a perfect example of such mark in all its glory and imperfection that one day, should I forget, will remind me of who I am.

By now I became accustomed to drinking cold coffee...

Music Stars and Pancakes

Hello there! How you all been? Have so many things to share, don't even know where to start:

The last week I've been going to work as usual. Working overtime for that extra green. Got my first pay check this Monday, so was pretty happy to see my hard effort finally paying off in few digit numbers ;) This week, however, is a bit of a hell... inventory count started this monday and will last for a few more days until every product will be counted. This means that everyone gets to work long extra hours, n as a result I come back home super tired... oh well, the weekend is coming soon :P (4 more days O_o)

Last weekend was pretty extraordinary. My mum came from Lithuania for a visit. It was pretty nice to see her after almost a year. Missed her a lot. It was Midsommar in Sweden, so the whole family and some close family friends gathered for celebration: we drove all the way to Mölle, where we had some food and lot of alcohol (not me tho, I dont drink anymore... xD).

On Sunday it was a big day for my boy Reb. He had his promotional music video shoot:
First we gathered by Turning Torso... lots of ppl were there to support and even participate in the video shoot. (a few pics after the jump).
Reb fixed a few hot rides with some cute girls. Real music videos are just nothing without those :D We shot a few scenes by Turning Torso, then we went to shoot a few more at Gamla IP (close to Triangeln). There was another shoot on the top floor of Turning Torso the folloeing morning, but I couldnt participate, as I had to work :/ From all in all it was quite cool. I got to wear make up, but thats a whole new story :P

After the video shoot I hooked up with Nashy, Anka and Balle for some pool action. Played a few games and called it a night. By the time I got home I was Lé tired, so I went to sleep right away... Monday was work day...

Today (Tuesday) my mum went back to Lithuania... didnt even had a chance to say a proper goodbye as I left home early... hopefully we will meet again at the end of the summer when im visiting Lithuania. Cant wait! :)

I got back from work and my little sister kept bugging me to copy a few song onto her mp3 palyer. I agreed. The player was quite old, so I had to look for drivers on internet to be able to connect it. After I isntalled the software (from official samsung page) I had to reboot my laptop...n guess what?! Windows got broken :O Yep... Had to load in safe mode to be able to access my documents. After all hope seemed to be lost, I decided to uninstall the player drivers... yup, it worked. I am back in action, and I dont have to worry about copying 50GB worth of various documents, movies and songs.

Now that I've got these things off my chest I thank you for the time you spent reading this whole mess through. Sorry bout the mistakes and obscurities... writing this half asleep :P

Good night, and see you all soon :)
Everything started once i've finished work:
Reb's called me and told me to come over as he was preparing to go meet a producer. Everything had to be done fast, so there was no time to lose... After we hooked up with the producer and did some busness, it was already quite late, so we've decided to come back to Reb's place and chill a bit / watch a movie.

Reb was working on some beats during the night, and i've decided to sleep over, as i was le tired (been unloading huge containers at work the whole day in the scorching sun).

The next morning Reb had to go to Copenhagen to record some tracks at a record studio, so he DRAGED me with him :D Baby Mike, Leslie and some chinese girl named Becky came too. (few picks after the jump).

We spent all day at the studio and came back home at around 22:00. Reb, Mike n Leslie managed to record a few phat beats that are coming out at your local music store soon... look up for updates!

From all in all it was a great day... and as all great days, it had to be ended with some nice food. As it's become a ritual, we visited Stippes... that shit is fan-fucking-tasticly tasty!

Today is Sunday, and im sitting on my ass with nothing to do. If anyone got any plans, hollar at me! Tomorrow is work AGAIN :/
Few lithuanian family friends came along too. After all the yummy food we decided to play a small football match. Fun, right? Well guess again! My dad managed to rip his thigh muscle, so we had to rush... um... carry him home. As stubborn as my dad is, he refused to take him to the hospital... he even tried to pull a few jokes while being on the edge of passing out. The next morning the pain was even worse, so after a few hours of discussions my stepmum n I finally managed to coax my dad into seeing a doctor.

We waited for an hour in the waiting room, until it was finally our turn. Let it be known that I am not impressed with the services the hospital provided:

It took a nurse about 10 minutes to type in one sentence into a computer (gotta love them ppl who type stuff in using one finger... think she used the other hand for holding a doughnut), while a nurse sitting next to her was playing cards on computer (a huge line of ppl with various ilnesses waiting behind us). Took a picture which ill try to upload once I find my damn cord.

We were sent to another building where a doctor was suppose to see us. Waited there for another hour, until it was FINALLY our turn, n it turns out it was a wrong doctor (not his area of specialties). Right.... so we had to go back to point 1.

After a few minutes of yelling, the nurse somehow managed to organise a doctor who was competent enough to examin my dad's leg. However, the story doesnt end there... o no...

Another 2 hours have passed and there was still no sign of any doctor. More than 10 ppl came n went, and we were still sitting in the waiting room. Long story short, we had to yell at quite a few more nurses (if you can call them that) to get a doctor.

Summary of the day: woke up, took a shower, had some breakfast. Left home at around four, came back at ten. Results? My dad is still in pain, im hungry as hell, and I didnt get that cute girl's number... but thats a whole other story ;)
Luckily Grete- one of my Lithuanian/Swedish friends who just happenes to go to 'Gymnasium with THE most interesting, smart and generally the besteteststsz people'. If you dared to ask, let it be known: im talking about Heleneholmsgymnasiet aight! She sugested to join her and a few friends for a concert in Heleneholm. Some ppl were performing the most brilliantly. There were also those who needed some improvement. From all in all the concert was quite good. However, there is always a big fat BUT! The concert was coming to an end, n the last two songs were performed by Grete's classmate, who mildly saying has a voice of a overheated engine. Thats when it all happened... It was all in a slow motion, and i tried to stop it, but it was too late... Today, on June 4th, 2007, Queen- Don't Stop Me Now was brutally neutered and repeatedly stabed until the last breath.

Rest in Piece :(
Since my returnal on 29th I was busy catching up with my m8s.

Day 1 I decided to pay my homy Reb a visit. Managed to pull yet another allnighter just chillin and listening to some good musac.

The next day Reb decided to drag me into town where we did... um... absolutely nothing? so after a few hours of walk (more than 24 hours awake) I finally managed to get back home and get some sleep.

Friday the 1st of June: the beginning of Summer and Bladins graduation parté! :D All day was planned out. Had to pick up Danny (Rebs odd danish friend) from the train station. Went to the graduation ceremony with him to meet the people who were graduating! Ppl who gathered to watch the ceremony were giving us weird looks when we were making some noise... It aint a damn funeral!

After the ceremony was over, the graduates were taking a ride in them huge trucks, so me and a couple of other guys decided it would be best if we took the ride as well :D (didnt take the ride on my graduation, so it was like filling in on what I was suppose to do).

So the ride was over and it was back to Reb's place where food and alcoholic beverages awaited! Before we could start to feast on all the nice foods and drink, Reb's parents took us to a restaurant where we ate a cake and drank some champagne.

The party is ON! Did I mention that I stoped drinking? Well I did. Why? Bedcause I am trying to make a statement that I dont have to get drunk just to be able to socialize and act crazy on the dance floor :D so far the results rnt that good: turns out my sexy dance moves dont appear as sexy when im sober xD

At about 11 pm it was Club time, so we all went to this club where all Baldins ppl were gathering. To my surprise, a lot of ppl from IB were there too :D GO IB! So we shaked our assests n mingled and just like that the night was over. There is an end to everything...

The weekend is almost over, and here I am posting this bolg. All i can think of is Monday when I have to get up early in the morning and go to work :x Happy, happy me :/ but at the end of it all I am pretty happy to be back home :) time to get tanned! One week spent in hell and its finally over! :D

Had my last paper on friday and been sleeping ever since. I guess it had something to do with pulling allnighters for the past week :S The good news is: I am finally free! On the other hand I have a loooong summer ahead of me, which I will spend working back home. Getting paid quite well, so I guess it will work out for the best :) On top of that I get to see my family and friends and party a bit like in good ol' times.

Appart from sleeping I managed to watch a few movies (God knows, I cant live without watching one or two movies a day...). In order to satisfy my insatiable hunger for movie I managed to get my hands on a fresh copy of Shrek 3. I have to admit, Shrek will always be one of them movies that never goes out of style. 'have you seen a baby lately? They cry and they poop, then they poop when they cry and they cry when they poop... now OGER babies are much worse: they extra cry... and they extra poop!' <3 Shrek.

2 more days and Im heading back home! watchout Sweden! :D

Day No. 2...

Right! Today is Tuesday, which means that our wirless internet gets disconnectd from 18:30 to 22:00. Donno who came up with the idea, but at least we get some free doughnuts and coffee during the hours.
At around 6 in the morning I finally managed to get some sleep. It didnt lasted long, as around 8 in the morning some moron managed to set off the fire alarm in our building with a damn hairspray! Had to jump out of my bed and rush outside, barely dressed in my sweatpants and slippers... After about an hour (not rly, but it was a long wait) wardens decided to show up and shut down the alarm, so I was able to get back to my bed.

I guess there is no real moral in this story, except the very fact that some people shouldnt be allowed anywhere near hairsprays and somke detectors.
