Just like me there are people who do love to travel. And usually we used our cars, trucksand van to make it more fun. But there are things a person got to do before going on a long travel. We always make sure we check our cars to make it a safe and fun trip. Here is some of the stuff we must not forget.

First we got to see if the car has gas. Gas is really important when having a long trip. There are some incidents that we forgot to check our gas and be stuck in the middle of the road looking for the nearest gas station. Make sure you have a full gas tank before you leave. And refill your tank when you're having a break on any gas station you pass by. Plus if you will travel to a remote area its good thing to have an extra gallon of gas just in case your gas gets empty and gas station are too far.
Then you got to check the engine. See if it’s in a good condition to go on a long trip. Always have a gallon of water too just in case the car engine over heat. Check the tires see if they are in a good condition for a long travel. Check if the screws on tires are tight. And always have an extra tire. Oh and make sure that the extra tire you have is not a flat. Make sure you bring your jack and lug wrench for your tires. So that you are ready when you get a flat tire on the road. It’s good to bring some flashlight with battery. And bring some extra battery for the flashlight too and check if it’s working before putting it to you trunk. Flashlight can be use as a warning device to the car that will pass by while you are working with your flat tires. Also check the other parts of your car. And check your brake and the lights specially the headlights, break lights and the turn signal lights. See if they are all working properly. Do this to make sure the car is really in good condition for a long travel.
Also always bring the necessary documents of your car like the license and registration of your car. And if you’re going to travel on a different state makes sure you have your passport with you and some other travel document you will necessarily need.
And always make sure to be careful when you’re driving on the road. Find some ways of making your trip be a fun and not a boring one. Play some music while driving or listen to the radio with your favorite station. And if ever you’re feeling tired or sleepy from driving. Stop at any motel or hotel to rent a room and get some sleep. Proposed changes in Canada Immigration Rules

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has introduced changes in the procedures and categories of both temporary and permanent immigration like Temporary Foreign Workers; Federal Skilled Worker and also in Federal and Family Class permanent immigration.

Temporary Foreign Workers

Of late there have been instances of severe exploitation faced by the migrants at their workplace. These occurrences have somewhere made the hopeful immigrants be a bit apprehensive before taking the final plunge of going to Canada. The Canada government to avoid these cases of acting as a deterrent to the inflow of immigrants has proposed certain amendments to the Immigration and Refugee Protections Regulations. These changes have been put forth to protect the interests of those immigrating to Canada under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. These changes induced by the government are highly necessary for the following reasons :

Reduction of exploitation of the workers under the temporary foreign worker program

Increment in case of an employer's responsibility towards his foreign employee because if the

Work permits issued under this program is for a temporary phase only

Strengthening the government to keep an eye on the temporary foreign workers and their employers.

Changes to the immigration rules

It is necessary for the employer to show that his past record with foreign staff has been well. If a case of manhandling is found in terms of meager wages and inhuman working conditions then the employer will be barred for two years to hire temporary foreign workers.

Federal skilled worker

The Canada government has initiated certain amendments in the Federal Skilled Worker Program also. Past history shows that changes made in this category has yielded positive results which has acted as a driving force to make the government introduce new ones. These changes have been proposed by Citizenship and Immigration Canada keeping in mind the needs of Canadian society and economy. Some of the changes proposed by CIC under this program are :

CIC has proposed to increase the minimum number of points which can be attained by an applicant from 16 to 20 in the language category.

Increase in the number of points from 10 to 12 for applicants between age of 25 - 34 keeping in mind factors like adaptability.

Reduction in the number of years required of education for doing trade.

Reduction in the maximum number of points from 21 to 15 in the area of work experience.

Assessment of the job offer given by the employer to avoid potential fraud.

These changes to the Federal Skilled Worker Program have been proposed with the intention of providing better facilities to the immigrants to fulfill their economic goals but as of now have just been limited to theory and not put into practice by the CIC.

ICCRC proposed as the new regulatory body for the Immigration Consultants

However of late, there have been cases reported of its inefficiency thus resulting in the replacement of the body.

Failure of CSIC

The Canadian government's effort in the light of the setting up of CSIC has turned out to be futile, with it not being able to satisfy the people. With innumerable complaints ranging from high membership fees; unethical practices carried out by the consultants to decisions made by it lacking basic prudence, all the facets of the body has been brought to criticism. Moreover all these complaints being recognized and supported by the Standing Committee has further strengthened the authenticity of these issues thus making the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to think in the same light about the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants.

New regulatory body

On the basis of the analysis carried out by the Standing Committee, regarding the dismal performance of CSIC, Citizenship and Immigration Canada decided to formulate a new regulatory body. This step was taken so as to preserve the integrity and restore the faith of the common people on the immigration system of Canada. In this context a public selection process was started in June 2010 inviting the applications of all those who were inclined to take over the responsibility of the governance of the immigration consultants. Post to a thorough examination of all the submissions and evaluation of the credibility of all the organizations by the selection committee, the report was submitted to the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism proposing ICCRC as the one best suited for this purpose.

Strategies proposed by ICCRC

The Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) is the body which has been proposed as the replacement to the CSIC as announced by the Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney on the 18th of March 2011 in Toronto.
