Not only do they have the lowest prices on high quality eyewear, they now have a very useful product called oleophobic lenses. These are lenses that have an anti reflective coating that will repel fingerprints, dust; even water and oil. It also reduces reflections that your glasses make in photographs and while driving or in overhead light. It's a pretty neat invention for sure, and one that everyone buying new eyeglasses should consider.

Zenni Optical is well known for their low priced eyeglasses. Some sell for less than $10, but are still high quality and stylish. So what would you expect to pay for a nice pair of eyeglasses that have the anti reflective coating mentioned above? I checked it out and found them for $35.95 each! That may be less that what you would pay for gasoline to shop around. If you spend more than $50 you also get free shipping, so buy a couple of pairs to accentuate your wardrobe.

Zenni keeps their prices low by manufacturing their own eyeglasses and sending them straight from the factory to you. There is no middle man and very little advertising. You are not paying for the name, you are paying for the quality. The name is free and it speaks for itself; Zenni Optical, check them out!

Paranoid wife

This guest post from Lewis Beck

My wife and I have both had a very stressful past couple months at our jobs. We realized we needed a quick getaway. It didn’t matter where we went, but we really needed to get away. My wife has always been worried about leaving the house. She is paranoid about what might happen while we are away. Thankfully, we are able to check on our house at any time through Home-Alarm-Systems.com. It is a great feature and we definitely take advantage of it. My wife worries about everything and I know she is always thinking someone is out to get us. I try to comfort her, but I honestly think she is crazy. I think it is something she learned from her mother. Her mom watches too much television and therefore always dreams up the strangest situations. Even though my wife makes fun of her mom, she is just like her. I hope one day she sees it and gets rid of her paranoia, but I am not hopeful for that to happen anytime soon.

Vacation is over, but my thankfulness lives on

It’s hard to believe that the holidays are behind us and my week off is already gone. It’s back to the ol’ grind, but I have a lot to be thankful for. Even though it’s hard to get out of bed early every morning to go to work, I have to remember that I am lucky to have a job, and I am lucky that my job brings in enough money to pay for our needs, and a lot of our wants. Most of the world is not so lucky. I feel so sorry for some of the third world countries where people may work from sunup to sundown, and still not be able to even have enough to eat. We are a spoiled people here in America, used to having more than we need, and used to having the assurance of unemployment or welfare to help us along when times get hard. Once again, most of the world is not so lucky. A lot of people abuse our system and it makes me sick to see lazy people taking advantage of our hard work. When I was visiting overseas I saw old people and children begging, sometimes laying in the streets because they had nowhere else to go. It’s time for us here in America to take pride in what we can do, as individuals, and as a nation. Sometimes I wish the able people who refuse to work were forced to live in one of the third world countries for awhile. They would learn to swim or drown in a hurry. It seems that more and more people are giving up and taking advantage of our system, and no wonder, it’s what our government gives rewards for. To work and to try is to be penalized for making the effort. To quit and become helpless means free housing, medical care, food stamps, etc etc. I never thought I would live to see the day when people and government came with built in obsolescence, but it’s rapidly becoming the norm.

I want to take time here to say “thank you God for giving me and my family enough. Thank you for providing us a way, and good enough health to take advantage of it. Remind me every day when I complain about getting up early to go to work, that I am luckier than billions of people in this world”. To all of you reading this, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. I also hope you always have enough, but only if you try….

A mining company in Canada has a mine in the Philippines

My wife is from the Philippines, so naturally I am interested in the cultures and economic development of the country. I recently found out that there is a mining company in Canada that is dedicated to the development of the Taysan Copper-Gold Porphyry Project. The project is 11,254 hectares in size and has two known deposits; one of which is the Antipolo Epithermal Gold Mine, and the other is the Taysan Deposit: which is a large copper-gold porphyry deposit. In case you are not familiar with the term porphyry deposit; it means that the deposit has formed during the transition and cooling of magma to rock. Porphyry copper deposits are the largest known source of copper ore.

The Taysan Project is not new; it dates back to 1968, and has 195 drill holes totaling 44,531m. The project has an expected 25 year mine life with a payback of about 3 years. It's a highly feasible venture because the first 7 years are projected to have exceptionally low production costs with a much lower strip ratio than the industry average. The Taysan Project contains not only gold and copper, but also silver, magnetite, and other by products as well.

I am glad that my wife's native country is showing signs of improved economics. I'm sure that the Taysan Project will help a lot by furnishing jobs for many. The Project is located in Batangas Province, on the south west side of Luzon Island. It's about 100km south of Manila.

There are many things to consider before replacing your carpet

My wife and I really need to buy some new carpet for our home. Our carpet is more than 18 years old now and is definitely showing some wear and tear. What we are starting to realize is that there are many different kinds of carpet to choose from. Not only are there many styles and colors, there are many different materials to choose from. We have been doing some reading online to try to figure out which is the best carpet choice for us.

One of the major characteristics of carpet that people need to know before they make a decision is what kind of fiber the carpet is made from. Basically there are natural and synthetic fibers, and both have advantages. Synthetic carpet fibers include nylon, polyester, rayon, and polypropolene. These are all produced using petroleum products; nylon and polypropolene are both very durable and long lasting, while polyester is better at accepting bright colored dyes and is softer. Rayon is sometimes used for area rugs, but is not a good choice for carpets as it is hard to dye.

Natural carpet fibers include cotton, jute, and wool. They all come from animal or plant sources and have the advantage of appealing to the "natural" crowd. Wool carpet is expensive because of high demand and short supply, so it is not usually for the common working man. It is however, an excellent choice for luxury carpet as it is long lasting and resistant to soiling, staining, and crushing. It is also fire resistant. It is considered the high end carpet. Acrylics were a popular substitute for wool in the 1960's because they look and feel similar to wool. The fiber has a tendency to pill and fuzz however, and is not a good choice for longevity.

So what is the best fiber to choose for your new carpet? Experts recommend nylon because it is strong, holds dye easily, and is readily available. There is a lot of carpet information available on the internet. I highly recommend that you do some research before you buy, just like my wife and I did. It could save you a lot of trouble in the future.

I’m sick of politically correct and the lack of common sense

I have written about this subject before, but I still can’t believe what my eyes are seeing. Our world has gone completely crazy! Common sense no longer exists; it’s as extinct as the dinosaurs. People act without thinking, without decency, without morals; in fact with no thought at all, except for themselves. Our government not only condones it, they lead the way. I swear if I hear the term “politically correct” one more time I am going to scream. What is politically correct anyway? It seems to be nothing more than a way of beating around the proverbial bush instead of telling the simple truth. Black is no longer black; wrong is no longer wrong; everything is now explainable by science so that makes it ok. Rapists and murderers were mistreated as children, so their criminal actions are now excusable. Short people are vertically challenged. Does that mean that fat people are spacially challenged? I’m sick of it all. Fat is fat and black is black. Neither is a crime as far as I know. Our country is built on the promise of freedom of speech, but suddenly we can only use that right if we don’t offend anyone else. Let me be politically incorrect and state a few beliefs of my own here. I don’t like politicians because they are liars and cheats. I don’t like gays because it is an un-natural act, not to mention filthy and obscene. If you do like gays, that’s your right. I do believe in God and I don’t think that a few nuts have the right to tell me that I can’t pray where and when I wish, and my kids as well. If you don’t believe in God, that’s your right, just don’t try to tell me that I can’t. I know that I have the right to own guns and ammo for them and nobody has the right to tell me that I can’t. If you don’t want guns that’s up to you. My guns belong to me; I am a free man with the right to practice what I please, as long as I don’t hurt innocent people in the process. I have the right to be politically incorrect, and I do choose to be. I like honesty, integrity, living by my common sense and hard work. Oh by the way; I definitely don’t like the slugs that live off our welfare system. No, I didn’t say everyone that is on welfare, I said the slugs. That’s another politically incorrect word, but it has a definite meaning. I mean the low life’s that are able to work, but choose not too. I choose for my tax dollars to NOT be used to support such people, but that would be politically correct and might hurt the slugs feelings. We can’t have that….

Save a bundle and put the fun back into shopping

We all know that times are hard and money is scarce; We just can't stretch our paychecks far enough to live in the way that we are accustomed. It seems that the harder we work, the more prices go up on everything, and we gain nothing from our extra labor. Christmas is right around the corner and a lot of us are wondering just how we can come up with the extra dollars to buy gifts for our loved ones. It is discouraging to say the least, and it's enough to take the fun right out of Christmas. Don't despair; today I found a website that will not only stretch your money farther than you could imagine possible, but they will also put the fun back into shopping.

The lowest prices online

It is a place called nomorerack, and they have such insane deals that there have been articles written about the nomorerack scam. There is no scam however, just deals that will blow your mind. In fact some of the deals are so good that they call them insanity deals, and for good reason; most retailers can't come close to offering anything similar. Nomorerack is not one of those bid sites that gets your money by making you purchase expensive bids; on nomorerack you buy the item outright. The only catch is that the deal only lasts for 24 hours, so you have to act fast.

How it works

The way it works is this; nomorerack gets close outs, cancelled order items, and overstocks from manufacturers. They buy these items at low cost and pass the savings on to the customer, sometimes as much as 90% off retail value. Each day at 12:00 pm they start to post new deals, and it's first come, first served. These deals will keep popping up all during the day, from time to time, so you will need to visit often. You will also need to register and make a profile on their website. This will make it fast and easy for you to take advantage of the deals that appeal to you. Check out nomorerack reviews and see what satisfied shoppers are saying about the fabulous bargains available. To make it even better, you can receive free items for referring your friends to nomorerack.

Low cost shipping adds to the savings

I know what you are thinking; "sure I will save a bundle on the products, but they will probably stick it to me on shipping and handling". Not to worry, shipping and handling is a flat rate of $2.99, no matter what you order. One of the first things I did when I found nomorerack is to bookmark them. I intend to register and then start watching for the "insanity deals" that they have. You should do the same. You will find out that Christmas shopping can once more be affordable and fun, thanks to nomorerack.com.

Save a bundle on eyeglasses

Taking good care of your eyes should be a top priority with everyone. Unfortunately it can sometimes be pretty expensive, so finding ways to save money on our eyewear is a definite bonus for us all. That's why I am recommending that you check out Zenni Optical online. They have cheap eyeglasses that are high quality and very stylish.

So how does Zenni Optical keep their prices so low when everyone else is asking exorbitant prices for their eyeglasses? The answer is really simple; Zenni only sells their own brand of eyeglasses. They don't sell the expensive name brands; they have no middle men to add to their prices; and no retail overhead, as they sell directly to you, the customer. Amazingly, considering the super low prices, Zenni uses materials and manufacturing techniques that are modern and of high quality.

Zenni Optical provides high quality stylish eyewear, at prices that will blow your mind. You should use them for all of your eyeglass needs. Buy an extra pair for the kids in case they lose one. Buy several pairs for yourself so you will always have the right style and color to compliment your dress. Check out Zenni Optical, and get ready to save a bundle, without giving up any quality.

Help! I'm a Mom of Two Teenagers!

Guest post from: Natalie Walter

Teenagers!!! It should almost be a bad word. It’s the process when you’re sweet and cuddly baby turns into a mean and nasty monster for approximately 7 years. During this process, they are trying to learn how to be responsible, respectful little people but you would never know it by their actions and attitudes. Similar to a caterpillar, they should go into a cocoon for these 7 years to emerge as a beautiful butterfly and save us all trouble of having to deal with them in these trying teenage years. Unfortunately, we can’t send them into a cocoon, but luckily somewhere around 20 years of age, they start acting like people again....or so I’ve heard and holding out hope for. I’ve got 2 kids both in their teen years and at times, I want to kick my little chickies right out of my nest and make them fly on their own. Other times, I can see they’re trying to be sweet but their hormones are making them into monsters. Either way, I still love them and want to keep them safe. We recently researched Family HOME SECURITY and decided it was what we needed. Both teenagers are home a good bit when my husband and I aren’t, and this helps us feel a little better about their safety.

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://jim-jotsandjolts.blogspot.com/2011/12/help-i-mom-of-two-teenagers.html" title="Help! It has gotten away from us over the years, to the point that we are either going to have to find a way to get rid of some of it, or build a building just for storage. It's funny really that a couple can acquire so many "treasures" over the years. What a good idea it would be for someone to start a business providing Shenandoah junk removal to help others get rid of their unwanted junk.

Actually there is a business like that. All you have to do is call 1-800-Got-Junk and they will send their Shenandoah junk removal team over to remove your unwanted items, such as refrigerators, computers, furniture, mattresses, even leaf or trash removal. They will take care of you in record time. One of the reviews that I read from a satisfied customer said that they even left the garage swept clean, and only took a little over an hour to complete their tasks.

If you are feeling smothered by unwanted past treasures, like my wife and I, there is now a solution. You don't have to do anything but pick up the phone, call Shenandoah junk removal, and help will be on the way!

Another holiday season

Wow, it’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is nearly here again. Time passes so quickly. It seems that the older we get, the quicker it goes, except that now the young people talk about how quickly time passes also. I remember that the Bible says that the closer we get to the end of time, the quicker it will go.

We had a wonderful celebration with our family for Thanksgiving. It seemed that everyone enjoyed it very much. Of course the food was scrumptious and everyone ate too much. My wife made her famous Pancit and some tropical fruit salad. My family loves her Pancit and can’t get enough of it.

We went shopping Friday and got in on a couple of the Black Friday sales. We stayed out of the stores until nearly noon to give the nuts time to clear out. We heard of one person that pulled a knife on another in a local Walmart store, over an xbox. There is also a story on the news about a lady (lady?) that sprayed other customers with pepper spray so she would have first access to some on sale electronics. Lol, I can’t imagine wanting anything in a store bad enough to do something like that, but I guess it takes all kinds. Anyway, hope all of you had an enjoyable holiday like we did. It is unbelievable how many things are different, and how far technology has come in the last 50 years. I’m not yet an old man, though not young either, but I have lived through a lot of groundbreaking, memorable events; such as the assassination of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King; I have witnessed the first man on the moon; I remember when all of the now revered old muscle cars were new. I recall when computers could take up the space of a large room, and still not have nearly the computing ability of small computers now. I remember Nixon and Watergate, the Vietnam war, Woodstock and the hippie generation. I even remember when a lot of work was done with horses instead of tractors. Makes me sound old doesn’t it? But I am not yet an old man. I remember when the last country schools, often just one room for several grades, were still in operation; in fact I attended one for a couple of years. I remember when you could easily identify every car on the road as a Chevy, Ford, Dodge, etc. There was only a few of each instead of the bewildering menagerie that we have today. Foreign cars were practically nonexistent, except for an occasional Volkswagen Beetle. It was ok though because owning a car made in a foreign nation would have been considered unpatriotic anyway.

I remember the Iranian hostage crisis, the Gulf war, Pop for 10 cents, and gasoline as low as 21 cents per gallon. I remember when kids of any age could buy cigarettes, and they cost next to nothing. It’s weird, but today we have thousands of time and labor saving devices to make our lives easier; and other devices to keep us amused and entertained, but it seems that we have less time, less fun, and are more unhappy than we have ever been. I love a lot of the new technology and I am as guilty as the rest in wanting every better mousetrap that comes along, but sometimes I long for a time past, when things were simpler and people went around with smiles on their faces and a friendly word for others. I guess we were just ignorant in those days and didn’t have enough technology to tell us that we couldn’t be happy with so little.

My House

Thanks for the post from Lynn Guy

Next Sunday the boys are going to be coming over to watch all the NFL games at my house. I have been asking my wife for the last several weeks if she would mind cooking something for me and the guys because every time we go over to each others houses there is always great food and the beer is always ice cold so I cannot let my friends down. The good news is my wife is a really great cook so I am guessing that my house will probably be the house that all the guys want to come visit every time a game is on. The fact that my wife is such a good cook might be the main reason that she doesn’t want to cook because I can tell she doesn’t want the guys coming over every single Sunday, she likes the system that we have now of switching it up every week. Ultimately, I know that my wife won't let me down she will make her amazing finger foods and everyone is going to love it. Plus she will be extra excited when I tell her about Dish Satellite Tv because I know she's been talking about it for a long time. I guess a marriage is a constant give and take.

A really good idea to make the holidays more affordable and enjoyable

You know how hard it is to get everyone together for the Christmas holidays. Sometimes it's hard to find someone in your family that wants to have a big crowd of people at their home, and sometimes there is just not enough room for everyone. I found a solution today that is really neat. Why not take your holiday breaks just like you would take a vacation? You could rent a nice holiday cottage, villa, or even a chateau somewhere, share the cost with everyone attending, and voila, Christmas is fun with no fuss and no muss! The rental could be in your own country, or even oversea in some agreed upon location that would please everyone.

I was thinking about what a nice holiday vacation our family would have if we had our get-together somewhere in the Caribbean. All stress would be gone, the weather would be perfect; no snow or ice, no cold to contend with. We could have a true vacation and go from Christmas, right through New Year's.

Actually there is no end to places that a group of people could go for their holidays. Sharing the cost would open up many more possibilities. It would be a good idea to take a look at some travel guides right now and get a head start on planning. There are so many options, depending upon how much money your group has; everything from low budget to no budget. I am glad I discovered this idea. It can make Christmas and New Year's so much more fun!

My Birthday and remembering my life

Today is my birthday and it is a day of thanks for me. I am blessed to have been on this earth for 53 years. I have spent some of the day reminiscing and remembering. Not all of my years have been good, in fact some have been downright miserable, but I have learned from all of them.

I believe that in our lives we have to experience many things. I believe that we need to feel all of the different emotions that life can bring us. In my life I have felt love, hate, trust, betrayal, peace, rage, hope, despair, and sometimes even total emptiness; I have both given advice and comfort, and received them. I have sometimes wanted to give up, but never could figure out how. I have had aspirations to greatness, and I have felt lower than the lowest; I have walked away, and been walked away from; I have shamed and been shamed. I have doubted, and been doubted. I have encouraged, and I have been an encouragement to others; I have believed in what was not real, and I have refused to see what was real; I have been a step for others, going both up and down; I have helped and I have hurt; Most of all, I have loved and been loved.

Today is special to me, partly because of all the things I listed above, for all were things that have made me what I am, but also my day is special because the one I love most is here with me, my wife. My life has been just that: a life; a life that has been through most of the spectrum of emotions, both good and bad. I liken life to a road going cross country; sometimes it’s smooth, sometimes it’s downhill, but sometimes it’s bumpy, rough, and steep. Sometimes so steep and rough that we can’t seen any way to continue on our course. There is however always hope as long as we breathe, so we can never give up. If we keep on going, our road will sooner or later once again be smooth and easy to travel. My road is like that now, and life is good here with my wife.

Happy Birthday to me!

Proper Power System Analysis will keep your system efficient

Proper management of electrical power is crucial in today's complex power systems. The equipment is high tech and needs equally high tech equipment and technicians to keep it operating smoothly and efficiently. That is why proper power system analysis is so important. I recommend a company called Powertech, because they offer advanced methods of power system analysis including complex simulation work, field measurements, and laboratory assessments to get the job done right. Powertech will use their extensive experience to pinpoint problems and help determine workable solutions to help power companies get the most out of their systems.

Powertech offers a wide array of services such as power system analysis software and testing, transient stability, comprehensive stability assessment, etc to help determine the cause of system failures. They offer generator parameter measurement and model measurement, custom modeling, and dynamic reduction, everything needed to get the job done quickly and well. I am not fat but I am a few pounds overweight and really not in good physical shape. I did some weight lifting in years past and enjoyed it very much. I would love to go back to it and hopefully I will have more time soon to devote to it.

Lifting weights and excercising are just a couple of the criteria needed to get your physique back in shape and keep it there. Vitamin supplements and hormone replacement are also very important. I have learned that our body tries to keep itself in balance, but the balance it strives for is what it is most accustomed too. For example if you take substances that will cause an increase over what your body considers normal, your body will respond by temporarily cutting back on it's own production of that substance.

This circumstance makes it necessary for people interested in body building to use something called pct post cycle therapy. In a nutshell, when body builders use anabolic or pro hormones for a period of time, then stop, their body may temporarily not produce enough hormones. Body builders quickly learn that if they don't use post cycle therapy, they may lose all that they have gained, during the time when their body is lagging below normal hormone production. This is where post cycle therapy comes in. It will replace those important hormones until the body once again reaches its normal balance. If you would like to read more about this, click on the link above and see how nutritional supplements are part of the key to having the body you have always dreamed about.

A new target rifle for my birthday!

My birthday is coming soon, and my brother bought me a new gun. I am a fan of the show and I'm glad that it's a big hit. Top Shot pits 16 contestants against each other, with one being eliminated on each contest. The contestants have to make some very hard shots, and it is often is the underdog who wins. One reason I like the show is that it shows guns being used for fun and achievement, which is much unlike what the anti gun nuts make them out to be. I love guns and I am a strong advocate of the NRA. Our freedom is based on our ability to defend ourselves. Our government wants us to believe that we should give up our guns and depend on crooked officials for our safety. This is the same government that has put our country into the mess that we are in right now. They can't protect our country from themselves, much less violent criminals. There is no way that I will turn over my only means of defending myself and my family, and let that bunch of idiots decide my future.

A recent newsletter that I received from the NRA stated that the UN thinks that we Americans should be disarmed so we will be just like every other country in the world; defenseless, and at the mercy of crooked politicians, and the rich companies who buy them. My question is this; "What the heck does the UN care if we American citizens are armed or not"? Not that I really care what they think, but it's enough to make a person wonder just what their future intentions are. I urge all of you out there to buy guns and ammunition for them. If you are one of the ones that think that more gun laws or taking guns from honest citizens will solve our crime problems, let me tell you the real story. Have you been watching the news lately and noticed the riots, assaults, looting, and arson that is going on in London and other UK cities? For your information the UK has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the world. It started in 1996 when a deranged man walked into a Dunblane Scotland school and killed 16 kids and one teacher. The government officials decided that taking away all handguns from the citizens was the answer and they did. Unsurprisingly the crime rate soared, and is getting worse by the day. Why? Because criminals have nothing to fear. A gang can break into a house, rob, assault, rape, and pillage, and what is the man of the house going to do about it? He can't fight off a mob with a baseball bat. The same story is true for every city or country in the world that has taken away people's only means of protection. I am not giving up my guns and I hope you won't either. Guns are tools. They can be used for fun, for putting meat on the table, or for shooting the mad rapist that is coming through your window tonight intending to rape and kill your daughter and wife.

Her Big Decision…

Thanks for the guest post by Jonathan Curtis

When my daughter told us she wanted to buy a house with her boyfriend we were a little bit confused. They’d only been together for a few months and we just didn’t want her to jump into anything unnecessarily. We suggested they rent for a while together but they were intent on buying this little bungalow that was for sale down the street from them. We’ve tried to be really supportive by helping them move and suggesting they got to HTTP://texaselectricityproviders.com before they set up their electricity. And it’s not that we don’t like Kyle, we just don’t know him all that well so we’re worried about Brittany’s rushing into things. She hasn’t always been the most cautious and it’s gotten her into trouble more times than once so we’re both just hoping this isn’t one of those situations all over again. She’s a smart girl but she’s definitely impulsive so I hope in a few years we can all look back and laugh about how concerned we were about this move…
