Orange is one of the brightest and top colours out there. It has a real shine to it and looks great on a sunny day. Some people consider orange to be similar to gold in that it has the sparkle and glow that takes your breath away.

I find orange a very upbeat kind of colour. When you look around you, oranges make you smile, they are a cheerful fruit that has a positive effect upon you. It is also the colour of summer. Along with yellow and green, orange brings in long Summer days, sunny beaches, bright and chirpy walks in the country side and gorgeous uplifting flowers and petals.

Some of the best flowers are orange too. If you think of a country garden on a Summer's afternoon with fruits, berries and flowers, bushes etc, there will always be a really sunny and uplifting orange flower around. It is a very special colour and one that infuses happy thoughts into people.

Food and drink can look good in orange, cocktails lend them selves to the refreshing looking colour which just oozes you in to drinking them as they look so tasty. Foods, fruits and curries look very appetitising when they are a less bright shade of orange too.

Clothing wise I love orange too. It is a very bold fashion statement and looks great on its own, or if you mix orange with black items, or with white, it equally looks pretty stunning. I prefer plain orange items rather than with prints as I feel the colour has enough wow factor without adding confusing patterns or designs to it, so plain orange works best for me.

Photographs and posters are healthy looking too when they embrace this colour, as it suggests positivity and enthusiasm, the same happens with words. Think about the colour used for highlighters, I will always grab the orange or yellow highlighter, orange preferred as it is pleasant to read back over later.
Orange
