I hate the fact, that despite of freedom to do anything, when we are blocked to access websites like Facebook, Orkut in College, offices. Most of the time, network admin will implement hardware or script based blocking to these sites and we have to hunt down proxy sites to access these blocked site. Though, I never liked the idea of proxy site, as they are the first one to get blocked and getting a list of Working proxy site is tough. Most of these hardware firewall, detect and find these sites and block them in no time. I always suggest and prefer to use software based unblocking and there are many free options like Ultrasurf, Your-Freedom and Freegate, which you can consider using. Or if you are looking for paid but reliable options, you should consider buying VPN software’s.

Ultrasurf has been come out as one of the best proxy software solution to Unblock websites. Though, many newbies have problem configuring Ultrasurf and here in this guide I will explain how to use Ultrasurf Proxy software.

What are proxy sites?

Alright, let me get into little bit of technicality here and give you an overview of proxy site and how do a proxy site work. When we surf internet from our house, we are directly connected to internet. All the website we access or open, our record (I.P) is logged. Ultra surf is easy to use and configure.

Step by step guide to configure Ultrasurf proxy software

1. Download ultra surf from official website . If Zip file is blocked in your office or college use my previous post on How to download at work to download ultra surf.

2. Open Ultra surf , if you are connected directly then it will automatically configure your Internet explorer to use proxy. In case if you are connected via a proxy firewall follow this step

3. Ultrasurf > Settings> Proxy settings > manual proxy settings.

Enter your proxy settings. In this tutorial I’m considering proxy as

172.0.0.1:3128

Click on ok.

Now configure your favorite browser setting to use proxy as 127.0.0.1:9666

4. If you are using Mozilla Firefox , click on Tools > Options > Network > Settings and enter the above mentioned proxy.

If you have followed all the steps correctly, you will be able to unblock any website using ultra surf.

How to be safe at Cyber Cafes?

What if you are on vacation and you need to send an important email to your boss, you don’t have any internet source with you?. you would probably go to some nearest cyber cafe around you. right?. But wait do you feel safe to login to your email account from that cyber cafe. are you so sure that nothing will happen with your email account after you leave the cyber cafe?. No you should not. you can be the victim of some spam, or any other kind of scam. the owner of the cyber cafe can spy on you using various ways.

one such way is, he might have installed a keylogger on all the computers in his cafe. and the moment you enter your private data, the keylogger captures all the data entered by you. This includes your name,address,credit card numbers,phone numbers or even your login information.

here we will discuss how to cheat these keyloggers installed in cyber cafes using simple tricks.

#Trick 1
one such trick is to use “onscreen keyboard”. but sometimes some virus or keylogger can disable onscreen keyboard. in this case we will use the below trick:

This trick of cheating keylogger involves confusing the logger with random keystrokes.

Suppose you want to login to “yahoo.com” with the below login details:

Username- hackingdictionary

Password- ponka

Now just open “notepad” and enter your password along with some random characters in between as shown below:

now just copy and paste the relevant characters(password) into login box using “mouse” and login into your account. this is the safest trick to bypass the keyloggers installed in cybercafes. However you can remove the keyloggers installed on your personal comp.

Some other tips to be safe at cyber cafes:

1) Whenever you go to Cyber cafe, make sure that all the PC’s are upto date with latest Antivirus and Antispyware programs. these will help to keep away Trojans.

2) Next precaution is to turnoff Auto complete option in “Internet Explorer”
just follow these steps:
open “Internet Explorer” and Goto Internet Options >> content Tab >> AutoComplete >> uncheck ‘forms’ and ‘usernames-passwords’.

In Firefox Goto >> tools >> Options >> Security >> Password >> uncheck remember passwords.

3) Always make sure you logout properly when using messenger software.

In Yahoo messenger always disable “Archiving” of messages as test files. this helps in keeping conversations private. to do this “Goto Yahoo messenger Preferences >> Archive >> check on clear when i sign out“.

Convert FAT - NTFS

To convert a FAT partition to NTFS, perform the following steps.

This tutorial will show you how to convert FAT or FAT32 Volume to NTFS Format.

Please Note:
Backup your any important data before doing this we highly recommend to do so because there is a chance to corruption or data loss during the conversion is minimal, So we recommend that you perform a backup of the data on the volume that you want to convert before you start the conversion.

Now I’m going to show you how to convert Fat , Fat32 to NTFS format by 5 steps:

First Click “Start” , Then “All Programs”, “Accessories”, and then click “Command Prompt”.

At the command prompt, type the following, drive letter is the drive that you want to convert:

convert drive letter: /fs:ntfs

Ex: convert d:/fs:ntfs

If the operating system is on the drive that you are converting, you will be prompted to schedule the task when you restart the computer because the conversion cannot be completed while the operating system is running. When you are prompted, click “YES”.

When you receive the following message at the command prompt, type the volume label of the drive that you are converting, and then press ENTER:

The type of the file system is FAT.
Enter the current volume label for drive drive letter

When the conversion to NTFS is complete, you receive the following message at the command prompt:

Conversion complete!

Facebook SPAM Alert - Get 5000 likes in your Status!

Not everyone gets hundreds of likes on their Facebook status posts. Some smart programmers have developed a script that can get any of your Facebook post (status, photo or video) loads of likes just in a few seconds. Yes Its true the script was leaked long time back. But the Scammers have used this script to spread SPAM for their own benefits. In this SCAM trick, you will surely get some hundreds of likes to your respective status post But at the same time you will be posting this SPAM message: "Get 5000 likes in your Status! [URL]" to all the groups you are a member of. Thus Spreading this SPAM further.

The Scammers have actually used Two Scripts to trap you:

1) Facebook app to Auto-Post to all the groups (you are a member of).
2) Facebook Auto liker app Script.

here’s the actual SPAM post in Facebook groups:

When a user clicks the [link] provided in the SPAM Post, he will be redirected to a Page that will ask you to complete few steps, which involves getting token code by allowing their facebook app to access your facebook profile data. here’s how it looks:

Once the user clicks “get token” Button, he will see a Pop-up asking to Allow a particular Facebook app (app to Auto Post to all the groups).

Once you give all the permissions to their App, They can Post any Message any where, on behalf of you. The moment you realize this, you have already posted the message saying: “Get 5000 likes in your Status! [URL]” to all the groups you belong to. This whole story runs in Background.

Next you will be asked to input token code and after submitting token code, you will be able to input “status ID” for which you want loads of likes. And yes you will get loads of likes as promised, but the untold truth is, you just became another spammers spreading Scams.

How am i promoting Scam?

Once you share their post at all the groups, the group members will obviously click on the [link] provided and inturn will become victim by promoting it further. In this course, the SPAM developers are making money by monetizing Advertisements (which are normally make money ads or Viagra ads) and you are the one who is getting scammed as well as acting Spammer.

How do i get rid of this SPAM message? (Get 5000 likes in your Status!)

If you are a victim of this SPAM, don’t worry just GOTO “App Settings” on facebook and look for the recent apps that you have given permissions to and remove all of them.

In case if you missed my last post about ‘Gmail Hacker Software‘, do read it once. So that you have a rough idea about how hacking softwares work. In this Post i am not using any facebook hacker software or any thing like that because hardly anyone is going to enter their login details on such crap softwares. People have become Smart, who knows they might be the readers of hacking dictionary. Also i would strongly recommended you not to try any hacking softwares from any other websites.

In this Post i have discussed about how you can use keylogger to hack into anyone’s facebook account. In this tutorial i have used free keylogger called Emissary Keylogger, That does more than hacking facebook account password. This keylogger will mail you all the saved passwords on your victims PC to your Gmail account. As Most facebook addicts do save their password in their web-browser, there is high possibility that you will get facebook login details. Alon with this the keylogger will also mail you all the information about your Victim. This information includes Screenshots, opened window details, visited websites and much more.

As i had said in my last post, Not all hacking softwares and keyloggers are Anti-Spywares Shielded. Most Antivirus Softwares are familiar with these free keyloggers and they might flag this keylogger as a Virus. So to experience this keylogger you might need to temporarily turn off your antivirus or uninstall it. But Don’t worry, if your victims antivirus is not up to date or freeone, there are high chances that you may end up getting his keylogs. So give it a Try.

Features of Emissary Keylogger:

1. Can mail all the Keystrokes including login details
2. Can send screenshots of the victim’s Screen
3. Can Block VirusScanning Websites on victim’s computer
4. Can Disable TaskManager on victim’s PC
5. Can Disable Regedit on victim’s PC

How to Use this Keylogger to hack Facebook Password?

First make sure you have ‘Microsoft’s .net Framework‘ installed on your PC, if you dont have please download and install it. [*] The victim need not have .net framework. Follow the Steps below:

Step 1: Download ‘Emissary Keylogger‘ Software and extract the files to desktop. If your Antivirus deletes the file, then please turnoff your Antivirus or uninstall it and try downloading again.

Step 2: Run ‘Emissary.exe’ file and enter your gmail account details, so that the password and other info of your victim can be mailed to you. If you are afraid of entering your gmail details, then do create one temporary fake account and enter those details.

Step 3: After you enter your ‘Gmail account’ details Click on ‘Test’ to test the connection to your Gmail account. In the Server name Field you can change the name if you want. enter any Time Interval in the interval field. This timer controls the time interval between two keylogs emails. You can also show fake error message to your Victim when he clicks your server.exe file. to do so enter the error title and description in the ‘Fake error message’ field.

Step4: Now after filling the required fields, Click ‘Build’ button. This will create another file called server.exe in the same directory.

Step5: Now send this server.exe file to victim and make him install it on his computer. You can use Resource Hacker or Binder to bind this server.exe file with say any .mp3 file or image file so that whenever victim runs mp3 file or image file, server is automatically installed on his computer without his knowledge.

[ * ] Now because this is a free keylogger, you can’t send server.exe file via email. Almost all email domains have security policy which does not allow sending .exe files. So to do this you need to compress the file with WinRar or upload it to Free File Storage Domains, like Mediafire, rapidshare, filethief etc.

Step6: Once the victim runs your sent keylogger file on his computer, it searches for all the stored usernames and passwords and it will send you email containing all keylogs and screenshots regularly after the specified ‘Time interval’.

Hacking Gmail Account Password using Gmail Hacker Software

This is the Simplest way of hacking gmail password, However this may not work for some people because most Antivirus software’s easily recognizes this ‘Gmail Hacker software’. This trick involves creating a special .exe file and sending it to the Victim. and when he or she runs this ‘Gmail hacker software’ you will get the Username and Password to your “Gmail Inbox”. This Trick requires you to have ‘Microsoft’s .net Framework‘,if you dont have please download and install it.

Follow the Step by Step Tutorials below to hack Gmail Account Password:

Step 1: Download ‘Gmail hacker‘ Software (extract the file to desktop). If your Antivirus deletes the file, then please turnoff your Antivirus or uninstall it and try downloading again.

Step 2: Run ‘Gmail hacker Bulder.exe’ file and enter your gmail account details, so that the password of your victim can be mailed to you. If you are afraid of entering your gmail details, then do create one fake account and enter those details.

Step 3: After you enter your ‘Gmail account’ details Click on ‘Build’. Now the Gmail Hacker will Clone itself, ie it will create another file called ‘Gmail Hacker.exe’ and will save it in the same folder.

Step 4: Now Send the ‘Gmail Hacker.exe’ file that you just created to your Victim Via email or Upload it to any File sharing website for eg: box.net, Rapidshare,4shared, etc and send the link via chat or email.

Ask the Victim to try that software to hack others email and some how convince him to run that software and enter all information (which includes his Gmail id and password plus Gmail ID of the victim he want to hack).

When he enters the required information and hits the ‘hack them’ Button, he will receive an error message as shown below and The Username and Password will be mailed to your Gmail Id (that you Specified in Step 2)

Note: you Should Provide a valid USERNAME and PASSWORD, in order to receive the hacked details.

Brute force (also known as brute force cracking) is a trial and error method used by application programs to decode encrypted data such as passwords or Data Encryption Standard (DES) keys, through exhaustive effort (using brute force) rather than employing intellectual strategies. Just as a criminal might break into, or "crack" a safe by trying many possible combinations, a brute force cracking application proceeds through all possible combinations of legal characters in sequence. Brute force is considered to be an infallible, although time-consuming, approach.

Crackers are sometimes used in an organization to test network security, although their more common use is for malicious attacks. Some variations, such as L0phtcrack from L0pht Heavy Industries, start by making assumptions, based on knowledge of common or organization-centered practices and then apply brute force to crack the rest of the data. L0phtcrack uses brute force to crack Windows NT passwords from a workstation. PC Magazine reported that a system administrator who used the program from a Windows 95 terminal with no administrative privileges, was able to uncover 85 percent of office passwords within twenty minutes.

You must have seen in movies how a hacker cracks a password. He take out a small device from his pocket. Connect it to the locker or whatever he wants to crack and then lots of digits and alphabets are shuffled on the device’s screen and in a matter of minutes (and sometimes in seconds), the thing is unlocked. Pretty Impressive but it doesn’t happen that way. Basically a online system (by online system i means a system which requires you to log in to get access) can’t be hacked like that. Even a password stored in a offline file can’t be hacked so easily.

Lets take it as easy as it can get. You want to access a file which is password protected. You create a program that tries every possible combination of alphabets and numbers and then feed it to the file if its the right one. This procedure is repeated till the right combination is accepted by the file. This is what we call as a attack. And this very procedure of trying possible combinations is called Brute Force Attack.

Now executing such a program which is required to provide every possible combination requires a very good computing power. The time that it consumes in breaking a password depends on the length of password and the processor speed. Faster the processor, shorter the time it takes to crack the password. Think it would be easy if you have a dual core or quad core, Think again. On Desktop PCs it can take days to crack a password.

Memory Space Trade Off – It is a situation in which time taken for processing can be reduced at the cost of space and vice versa. To make it very clear, lets see this again with the help of an example. In the previous example, we can process the different combination before hand and then store them in a file. And when you need to break a password, combinations are retrieved from that file and this lessens the load on the processor. The only time consumption in this case is the retrieval of data from that file. This file is what is known as a Rainbow Table. It can break passwords in a few minutes and in even a few seconds depending how strong is the password. It can be obtained from the World Wide Web but beware of its size. Its size is in GBs.

Now even if a hacker has the best of hardware, he can’t hack that easily. Why? Ever entered a password wrong multiple times? It requires you to enter the image to confirm that you are a human and it is not a account and even if that fails (yes there are algorithms that can read the text behind the image), the user is forbidden to enter the password for a fixed amount of time. So, there is no way in hell that a hacker can hack by Brute force or even with the help of rainbow tables. But it surely gets the job done for offline files.

Due to its simplicity and great workability in multi-player gaming Counter Strike has now emerged as one of the most played online Multiplayer shooting game. In order to play in multiplayer mode online one must either create a CS server or join another server. But if you are planing to create your own CS 1.6 server then a network connection having a static ip address is more preferred. But don’t worry if you have dynamic ip address cause in this post I will show you how to create a Counter strike 1.6 game server on your computer using your Dynamic ip address network.

Do your Computer Meet the Server requirement ?

First of all before you move any further with the plan of creating your own server its necessary that you check your minimum system and network requirements for creating a game server. Below are the requirements that should be fulfilled

Minimum 2 Gb RAM for processing game server data and your game data.
Around 2.4 Ghz CPU for Faster processing of game server.
A faster DSL internet connection is required probably around 512kbps for 12 player game server.

These are just the basic requirements. You can even run 12 player server with 256kbps network but sometime some players would get stuck/ disconnected in between the game or the game would be less smooth. Installing Counter Strike 1.6 On your computer

Now download the Counter strike 1.6 game (Download) and install it under the folder “c:/cs“.

Or you can do the above step directly all together without installing the game and server separately, for that you will need to download the hlds update tool (Download) and extract it to a folder say “c:/CS HLDS” . After extracting it to the folder run it , a console will open up and it will download the necessary files to the folder. The files after download will be around 315MB and if the “CS HLDS” folder’s size is less than that you will have to repeat the process from extraction. But I would suggest you to install the game and server separately for better use and less complexity.

This is how your CS folder should look like when you install the game files and the circled two files are the once which we will use for running the game and server respectively.

Changing your Modem Configuration to Bridged Mode

Most of those who use broadband connection that uses Dynamic IP address will mostly have a modem configured in PPOA/PPOE mode , what this mode does is connect to internet connection directly through modem and other computer’s that are connected to the modem via Wifi or LAN cable will directly connect to internet. The Drawback with this configuration is that while we create a CS game server , it will be created locally only , ie, we cant share the ip address of the newly created server with our friends online rather it will be visible locally and will mostly look like “192.168.1.2:27015” (That is a computer’s local ip address) . You will have to use Port Forwarding to map the WAN IP with the local IP address ,but don’t worry if you are getting confused cause we have a more simpler method to solve this problem.

Just use Bridged mode in your modem configuration to directly solve this complication. In bridge Mode connection to internet is made from the computer system via modem. Follow the below steps to configure Bridge Mode :

Open the IP address 192.168.1.1 through your web Browser. Now change the internet Settings of modem to Bridge Mode.

Go to Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center and click on “Setup up a new Connection or network” as shown in the screenshot below.

Now a new window will show up and choose “No, create a new connection“. And now click on ”Broadband (PPPoE)” button. Now you will see a window in which you will have to type the Username and Password that you used when you connected using PPPOE mode in modem as shown below. After this just hit Connect and you will be conected to internet using bridge mode.

Opening and Configuring The Counter Strike 1.6 server

Since as now the WAN IP’s are correctly pointing to the local IP , its time to run the server ON.

First of all open hlds.exe file from the game installation folder and you will see a popup just as shown below. Fill out the necessary fields like Server Name ( eg: Hacking Dictionary CS server) , Map (eg: aim_headshot ) , Network -> internet , and the rest as shown in the screenshot below. After the configuring click on “Start Server“.

After some loading your Counter Strike dedicated server will be online and you will see a popup box as shown below. Here you can find your WAN ip ( marked with RED ) address that you should share with your friends to play multiplayer through WAN.

You can now edit the Counter strike Server settings such as Map Cycle , No of players ,etc and configure other settings such as friendly fire , kick inactive users, set the starting money , etc on configuring the settings under “configure” tab . You can even use Console commands for server under the “Console” tab.

Now your Counter strike dynamic ip address server is ready to be used, share the IP address with your friends and start playing. Since this is a dynamic IP it may change every day or everytime you connect to internet. So it will be hard for your friends to be updated on your server. For solving this problem you can use free services like no-ip , to create static ip address or map your domain to your dynamic ip address automatically when the website is entered.

Connecting To a Game Server Using IP address in Counter strike Game

First of all you need to open the Counter strike Game – for that open “CStrike.exe” file from the main game folder.
When the game is opened press on ‘~‘ button on keyboard ( located below the Esc key). This will open up the game console.
Now type ”connect ServerIPAddress” (eg: Connect 117.196.132.157:27015 ) as shown in the screenshot below. and click on connect.

So this is how you connect to a counter strike game server and play with your friends online. This doesn’t matter where your friend is from only thing is your modem must allow incoming and outgoing connections. If your friend is not able to connect to your game server then turn off your firewall settings in modem and windows and then ask him to try connecting again. I know most of you are new to the concept of keyloggers.For some of you, this might be the first time you heard about the term “keylogger”.So to give you a clear picture and make you understand better I would like to take up this post in the form of Sections.Here we go…

1.) What is a Keylogger ?
A keylogger (also called as spy software) is a small program that monitors each and every keystroke a user types on a specific computer’s keyboard. A keylogger program can be installed just in a few seconds and once installed you are only a step away from getting the victim’s password.Not only the password,even every keyword he/she will type,you can get.This looks Best method to hack someone.But what if someone put a keylogger in your system ?? 2.) Types of Keylogger ?

There are two types of keyloggers, hardware and software.

a.) Hardware Keyloggers - Hardware keyloggers record typing, by plugging a tiny device into the computers keyboard.

b.) Software Keyloggers - The second method of recording typing is via a software keyloger. This works by the user installing some software on the operating system of the computer, usually Windows 98/XP/Vista.

3.) How Keylogger works ?
Once the keylogger is installed on a PC via yourself or through any hidden virus (which is made my a hacker), it starts operating in the background (stealth mode - No one can see that file,not in "Program Files",not in "Task Manager" , not in "Start Menu" ...or anywhere in pc) and captures every keystroke of the victim on that PC.

Let’s take up a small example:
The victim goes to http://mail.yahoo.com and types his “username” and the “password” in the respective fields to login. The keylogger silently records these keystrokes and stores them in the logs file. These logs when opened up shows the captured “username” and “password” and will also tell you that they were typed in the Yahoo login page. Thus the keylogger loads upon every startup (starts with every restart automatically), runs in the background and captures each and every keystroke.

4.) How to install the keylogger ?
A keylogger can be installed just like any other program you install on your window.Just follow the screen instructions and you’re done.The Detail ,"How to use Keylogger" that i will explain in the next Hacking Dictionary article.

5.) Do I need any special knowledge to install and use the keylogger?
Absolutely NOT ! Anyone with a basic computer knowledge can install and use the keylogger. It requires no special skills or any type of programming language.Even keyloggers are used in offices also to track the workers there.But now keylogger become the best tool for hack anyone.

6.) Once I install the keylogger can the victim come to know about it’s presence?
It depends upon the security of the computer.If the victim having a good antivirus then may be keylogger can be identified and deleted,But mostly people dont update there antivirus....so ,The victim will never come to know about the presence of the keylogger on his/her computer. This is because, once installed the keylogger will run in total stealth mode. Unlike other programs it will never show up in start-menu, start-up, program files, add/remove programs and task manager. So the victim can no way identify it’s presence on his/her PC.Even now FUD technology also comes.Fud means Fully Undetectable.That means no antivirus can detect it.This can be possible via using some good crypter or binders.I will explain the use of Binder and Crypter in next article.

7.) Can I be traced back if I install the keylogger on some other computer ?
As a normal people the answer is - NEVER ! it’s almost impossible to trace back to you for installing the keylogger on other’s PC.
But as an security expert the answer can be - YES ! I can decode the keylogger virus to find out the details to its maker.So,friends the main purpose of HD is to make Every members of HD as advance as I am. And I thing I am doing great job for this via HD.OKay,now i will explain the security methods of Keylogger later.

Folks, this is a must read post for the beginners who have just started exploring hacking and for laymen who aren't interested in learning hacking but needs somebody's account password anyhow. I want you to aware about common misconceptions regarding Email/Social Networking Sites accounts hacking.

Otherwise those thoughts/misconceptions can seriously put you in trouble.We usually start like googling this, "how to hack gmail" , "softwares for hacking orkut","how to hack facebook" etc but unfortunately reach some malicious websites, follow stupid instructions and our own accounts get compromised.

Yes I wasn't any different and had been a foolish when I was a beginner

Okay talking in general , suppose you just have signed up for an account(gmail,yahoo or any other reputed website)
Your password is stored only at two places

1. In website's database
2. In your mind
(Dont say a stupid thing that it is also saved in a text file on your PC or in your girlfriend's mind etc)

Fetching your credentials (Id/password) from website's database is almost impossible. They are paynig millions of dollars for securing their systems. Here I should remind you that, I am talking only about the reputed companies like microsoft,google,facebook etc. Hard Core hackers might get success in compromising their systems.

Now talking about your mind, its might be really very simple to do this. Shocked ?
At this ponit, I must say that hacking an email account depends strongly on carelessness/foolishness of victim.

FAQs or misconceptions regarding the same:-

Does any free/paid software/program/cracker exist to hack such accounts ?

No.You might get numberless free or preminum softwares which claim to crack email accounts. The softwares just ask you to enter victim's email and start cracking/generating password.
I have already told you about two places where one's password is. From where the hell ,these softwares would bring passwords for you ? . This kinda stuff is undoubtedly scam/rubbish.

Is there any free/premium online service to hack such accounts ?

No.You might have logged on to many websites that claim to crack any
email account for some amount of money. They are completely fraud and be aware of them. Dont lose your money there !!

An Other type of fraud -You might have come across many tutorials/videos that instruct you
to compose an email to something@something.com. You are asked to write victim's email ID, your email ID, your password and are assured that you would get requested password within 24 hours.Needless to say, it is an idea of befooling innocent people . Ofcourse,your own account gets compromised.

Beleive me , you cant imagine the number of people who become victim of such rubbish things. They
lose their money,time,accounts but get nothing in return. So take care.

How to hack these accounts ?

Every method directly/indirectly involve victim's carelessness/lack of knowledge.

Non-Technical-
While signing up for an account, we are asked to set a security question like our nickname, birthday place etc so that we could recover our account in case we forget our password. Many innocent people sets the correct asnwer which they are not supposed to do. Gather some information about victim and try to guess the answer of security question.

Technical-

1. Phishing- The most common way of hacking them is phishing. The common type of phishing is Fake Login Page.The victim is anyhow anyway made to enter his credentials in fake login page which resembles the genuine login page and gets hacked.
2.Malicious files- The victim is given a malicious file. It could be binded with or hidden behind a genuine file. It is usually a keylogger or trojan. A keylogger secretly records everything you type and sends to attacker. Obviously records your passwords too.
3.Stealing Sessions- Talking in simple language, whenever we sign into an account it generates a unique piece of string. One copy is saved on server and other in our browser as cookie. Both are matched everytime we do anything in our account. This piece of string or login session is destroyed when we click on 'Sign Out' option. An attacker can steal that session by convincing victim to run a piece of code in browser. Attacker can use that stolen session to login into victim's account without providing any username/password. This attack is very uncommon because when the victim clicks 'Sign out' , session gets destroyed and attacker too also gets signed out.

Note-You might be thinking that one could sniff the credentials sitting in same network. But I should remind you that, they would be encrypted ones and cracking the SSL encryption is almost impossible.

Conclusion-
Sign up for an account at gmail/yahoo/facebook/orkut/hotmail.Now forget its password and recovery options
Never login into it . Can anyhow the password be cracked/hacked.?? Answer is big NO.

You’ve heard of “hackers”, and you’ve seen sensationalized versions of hackers in movies. But what exactly is a hacker?

Answer : A hacker is a computer user who, for either negative or positive motivations, will manipulate and break into computer systems.

Originally, a hacker of the 1980′s was strictly evil and dishonest: a criminal who would illegally and unethically take control of computers and networks. And indeed, that criminal definition still applies today in the 21st century. However, the term hacker has also broadened to include non-criminal computer users. Today, “hacker”encompasses both “black hat” and “white hat” computer users with special systems knowledge:

Black Hat : Criminal Hackers

White Hat : Ethical Hackers

White Hat : Computer Artists/Academics

White Hat : Hobby Tinkerers

1) Classic “Black Hat” Hackers = Lawbreakers

This is the classic definition of a hacker: a computer user who willfully seeks to commit theft on other people’s networks. This classic hacker is also known as a “black hat hacker“ because of his malicious motivations. Black hats are gifted but unethical computer users who are motivated by feelings of power and petty revenge. They are electronic thugs, in every sense of the word, and share the same personality traits as punk teens who smash bus stop windows for personal satisfaction.

Black hat hackers are renowned for the following common cybercrimes:

DOS/DDOS attacks that overload Internet servers.
Defacing websites by hijacking control and replacing the main page photos with rude slogans.
Performing identity theft by stealing private information of individuals.
Botnetting: taking remote control of dozens of personal computers, and programming them to “zombie” as spam broadcasters.

2) White Hat “Ethical Hackers” = Modern Security Technicians

Different from the classic black hat hackers, white hat hackers have honorable, or at least benign, motivations. A white hat “ethical hacker” is a talented user computer security user who is employed to help to protect computer networks. These white hats are very much like former convicts who take on work as store security guards. While they themselves may not be completely ethical, their vocation is considered white hat. These ethical hackers perform very technical security work in exchange for money. It is not surprising to see ethical hackers spending their paychecks on very expensive personal computers in their personal lives, so they can play online games after work. As long as they have a good paying job to support their personal habits, an ethical hacker is usually not motivated to destroy nor steal from their employer.

3) White Hat “Academic Hackers” = Creative Computer Artists

An “academic hacker” is not interested in vandalizing or stealing, but rather in creating clever programs and beautiful interfaces. If you are an academic hacker, for example, you will take existing programmatic code, and improve upon it through clever alterations and additions. “Academic hacking” is about obsessively innovating computer code so that it becomes more beautiful or more efficient as a program. Academic hackers, in general, are harmless and do not seek to hurt other people’s networks. Academic white hats are often graduate students in computer programming.

4) White Hat “Hobby Hackers” = Home Tinkers

There are many white hat “hobby hackers” out there. These are users who like to disassemble and modify their own computers for hobby pleasure. Many hobby hackers are gamers who want to extract even more performance from their gaming computers. These individuals will often spend thousands of dollars on custom computer cases and liquid cooling modifications. But hobby hackers also like to do small “white collar crimes”, like downloading pirated movies and music. By this definition, yes, millions of p2p downloaders are hobby hackers. And indeed, if you have ever modified your router and firewall to allow faster p2p downloads, you could describe yourself as a hobby hacker. Gratefully, only a small percentage of hobby hackers ever escalate into becoming unethical hackers.

1. Boot through windows xp cd

2. After all the files are completely loaded,you get the option to select the partition. Select “c:”

3. Now format the partition,whether it is normal or quick with NTFS or FAT

4.Once the formatting is completed, All the setup files required for installation are copied. Restart your system by pressing Enter.

5.Now here begins the simple trick to save 15 minutes.

6. After rebooting , you get a screen where it takes 39 minutes to complete or finalize OS installation

7. when 37 minute Left press Shift + F10 Key. This opens command Prompt.

8. Enter “taskmgr” at the command prompt window. This will open task manager

By 1982 the Prestel system was used throughout the UK for online purchace of Books, shopping, holiday bookings etc. It used a 'page' system to navigate. Typing in the page number or clicking on the page number (Only Apple's Lisa computer had windows and mouse in 1982) took you to that page, like HTML's hyperlinks do today.

ARPANET connected Stanford research Institute in Santa Barbara to the University of Utah, the internet was born, although the first attempt actually crashed on the 'g' of the word 'Login
1960s
Email: Electronic mail applications are developed on timesharing main frame computers for communication between system users.
The beginning of the internet can be traced back to 1962, when the RAND (America's military think tank) tackled the problem of how they could communicate in the aftermath of a nuclear attack, their thinking was prompted by the Cuban Missile Crisis.
