Google全球的數據中心，首度曝光！

這些不是什麼汽車生產線，或者石油加工廠，更不是什麼化工廠或者軍事基地。這裡是我們常見的Google背後的數據中心……

“where the internet lives”為Google新網站拍攝的一組照片，攝影師捕捉了一系列人們從未見過的google高科技數據中心的幕後情況。這些圖片描繪了數據中心的高度複雜性，這些設備掌管保障了世界最大搜索引擎瀏覽器的數據。圖片拍攝地點囊括了google在全球的八座數據中心，其中包括比利時，芬蘭和美國。

這些電線依據顏色分類組織。

每台服務器機櫃都有4個交換器，

服務器通道背面的罕見照片。這裡，成百上千的風扇為服務器散熱，將熱氣傳輸到冷卻系統進行再循環。綠光顯示的是服務器狀態。

透明塑料簾子將熱氣隔絕在外，保證了機房內的冷卻溫度。

服務器機房需要大量的空間和高效的電源來運行谷歌公司的全部產品。他們將芬蘭哈米納的一處老造紙廠進行改造，利用其原有的基礎設施以及鄰近芬蘭冷水海港的地緣優勢。

藍燈表示所有所有服務器都在正常運行。

蒸汽煙霧從冷卻塔上方升起。當你看見水蒸氣了 - 那表明濕度和溫度都很低 - 冷卻塔是最有效率的設備。

這個巨大的接收天線為谷歌“接入服務單位”接受信號，

這些管道組成了一個淨水系統，安裝在北卡羅來納州勒努瓦數據中心外的冷卻塔下方。

這些管道內灌滿了高壓水以防火災發生。水源都經過淨化過濾，使用時不會污染設施。

隔熱管都有ü型彎管，可根據內部流體溫度的變化而膨脹或收縮。

為了保證用戶的數據安全，所有殘次驅動硬盤都會就地銷毀。

世紀奇幻建築／大師札哈蒂的Galaxy Soho終於要蓋成了！

根據＜建築人手札＞的描述：

「從東二環看，像一條滑溜的大鯨魚。」
「從上面看，像4個正在分裂的細胞。」
「我怎麼覺得像4個白花花的大饅頭。」

朝陽門SOHO三期(已更名為 Soho Galaxy, Beijing)設計案公佈後，不少人盯著這個奇異的模型議論紛紛。

這個令人耳目一新的建築將在2012年建成，和新央視、鳥巢等異型建築一樣，成為京城一景。

朝陽門SOHO三期(Chaoyangmen SOHO III)坐落在北京東二環內朝陽門橋西南角，總建築面積33.4萬平方米，是由當今世界最著名的建築師扎哈·哈迪德(Zaha Hadid)和她的團隊設計，為此，潘石屹支付了400萬英鎊的高額設計費。

這個龐大的建築群由4個流動的建築形體組成，整個建築沒有一絲直線，形成極強的動感流線，完全打破了目前東二環沿線沉悶刻板的建築佈局，創造了令人激動和壯觀的形象。用設計師的話說，這個建築群體現了21世紀新的建築形態，這種形態也是世界對新世紀的中國北京的全新理解。

潘石屹在介紹這個方案時說：「我感覺它像4個小鳥巢，只不過我們這4個小鳥巢是封頂的，但從空中看，也是鏤空的效果。」對於為什麼選擇這樣一個另類方案，潘石屹解釋：「這裡的建築是限高的，限高60米。30多萬平方米這麼大體量的一個建築體，如果用常規的設計，怎麼設計都難免設計成一個『矮胖子』，於是，我們就選擇了這個流動的設計方案。」

在巴黎第19區的parc la vilette有一塊11米×200米的南北向的地塊，斯羅維尼亞事務所OFIS在這個基地上完成了“Basket Apartments”學生公寓項目。

建築被分為兩個基本體量，共有11層，技術和服務區域位於地下，公共功能佈置在首層，還有192間獨立的公寓式工作室佈置在地上9層，這些空間都分佈在一個模數化的鋼筋混凝土和鋼結構體中。在東立面上，高密度的分層木板將陽台層層包裹，像一個個堆疊的盒子，為起居空間的窗戶遮擋陽光和視線。

西立面側包含了樓梯井和走廊，這些交通空間被佈置在室外，頂部覆蓋了一層曲線形的懸掛金屬網。這個透明的立面為戶外走廊提供了必要的安全保障，同時也讓居住者能俯瞰旁邊的足球場。這座建築在保溫和通風上進行了特殊設計，建築的朝向能吸收充足的自然光線並設有一個可控的集熱設備。

特殊設計的通風設備減少了對人工照明的需求。公寓有一部分采暖來自於300平方米的太陽能光電板，基地上的雨水收集系統讓廢水用於花園灌溉。

This is a project that was called Café/Day. Designed by Suppose Design Office,

Starbucks ‘The Bank’ Concept Store in Amsterdam.

This is The Bank, a concept store from Starbucks Coffee. It can be found in Amsterdam and has a radical design.

Caffe Streets by Norsman Architects.

Located in Chicago, Illinois, this coffee shop was designed by Norsman Architects. It’s modern and it’s elegant but, more important than that, it has that typical warm and cozy interior that is, at the same time, unique and original.

Vanilla coffee shop.

Vanilla is a tiny coffee shop from Berlin. It was designed by Ariel Aguilera and Andrea Benyi. The coffee shop has a very retro feel. It’s brighter than most designs in this list and it looks like the cozy corner of a n inviting home. The pattern and color of the accent wall adds perspective and the simplicity of the rest only makes it more lovable.

Tully’s Coffee Shop -Remm Kagoshima.

Tully’s Coffee is part of a beautiful hotel from Kagoshima, Japan. It’s situated on the first floor and it has been upgraded along with the bakery. It features a series of individual tables with elegant chairs that, even though are placed very close to one another, still offer privacy. It’s a design that encourages social behavior but that also respects its clients’ intimacy.

Cribbar surf bar by Absolute, Newquay – UK.

This is the Cribbar surf bar from Newquay, Cornwall. It got its name from the town;s most challenging wave and it features a surf-themed interior. Even though everything is somehow related to surf, the designers and architects that worked at this project avoided using clichés. The coffee place, for example, is not a fully enclosed space. Its interior is simple but it stands out through the use of LED lights in the ceilings that completely change the atmosphere

Starbucks Roy Street Coffee & Tea, Seatle.

This is another Starbucks coffee shop. As in the case of all the other Starbucks locations, the design of this place pays tribute to local architecture. It features concrete floors and custom velvet furniture and draperies. The interior is a mix of salvaged wooden walls and antique furniture and the result is a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

And here’s yet another beautiful Starbucks coffee shop, this time in Dazaifu, Japan. Its most impressive feature is represented by the diagonally woven lattice created from over 2000 wooden batons. They cover the walls and ceilings of the coffee shop and create a very interesting image.

Starbucks 15th Avenue Coffee & Tea Shop, Seatle.

Starbucks also shows that it can go back to the basics. This is the 15th Avenue Coffee & Tea Shop from Seattle. It has a rustic interior design featuring a combination of salvaged barnwood, old warehouse lighting fixtures and rusted wire chandeliers. The walls are also decorated with large photos representing coffee and tea rituals.

Café Coutume in Paris.

This lovely coffee shop is from Paris, France. It was designed by Paris-based studio CUT architectures and it’s called Café Coutume. It’s actually a combination between a roastery and a café and it also offers a selection of fresh and organized delicacies. It features a typical Parisian interior with high ceilings, moldings, columns and an old shop door.

Cafè Foam was designed by Note Design Studio and can be found in Stockholm. It’s a surprisingly colorful coffee shop but there’s a very good reason for this. The architects and designers have tried to recreate the excitement of Spanish bull fighting. For that they used red curtains and bold accent elements.

這個案子位於台北市天母溫泉區的社區住宅中，由於基地環境優美，空氣良好並有豐沛的自然採光，所以在設計上環境資源的導引是此桉重要概念。由於曹宅為長型基地，前後陽台是唯一能帶入自然資源的出入口，所以在平面配置上以水平格局為出發點，如此一來，通風不順暢以及採光不足等問題便能解決，更能解決室內潮濕空間感狹小等問題。

可以轉動的電視架座，讓屋主決定變換更大的餐廳空間或起居空間；大片的地毯造成柔和的感覺，運動深沈色顏色的地板讓明亮的傢具凸顯出來；中間以書櫃分隔出書房和臥室，使用拉門以提供隱私需要，也可連結兩個空間，讓主人有更大的擴充性，設計用心良苦，實為傑作。

日本建築師最擅長的死裡逃生／東京DST觀光樓

大概10年前，隨著Dojunkai公寓建築的消失，代官山景觀也進行了徹底地改變。然而，這一名為代官山Machi的區域卻逃脫了在開發和修繕的浪潮。一些從名為城堡街道一直延伸到Hachiman Dori的小巷正是這個城鎮的主要特色。

不會變成蚊子館的公共建築，丹麥圓頂公共會議廳

Pleasure Dome: A Public Meeting Space Cracks Open Geodesic Design:

丹麥建築師Kristoffer Tejlgaard 和 Benny Jepsen受丹麥公共建築單位之邀，設計了這款亮眼的公共會議空間，設計團隊為了建築融入周遭的環，刻意設計了一個圓頂、木製的壁面和開放的窗戶，形成一個開放的空間，讓空間能夠多維的運用。

而且建築的骨架採取可拆重組的結構，隨時可以依據不同的需要而改變，充滿了與眾不同的建築思維。

偉大的工程／瑞士Trift懸索橋

瑞士Trift懸索橋:

阿爾卑斯山脈遍及歐洲6個國家，瑞士便是其中之一。由於山體連綿不斷，加之瑞士國土面積的原因，瑞士60%的國土面積都被阿爾卑斯山脈所佔據。 Trift懸索橋便是為了溝通一所因冰川後退而孤立的木屋所設。橋長558英尺、離谷底328英尺，是阿爾卑斯山區最長也是最高的步行吊橋。

從2004年建成以來，Trift懸索橋的風雨飄搖不知道嚇退了多少人。隨後在2009年，橋體增加了穩固鉸鏈，護欄也進行了加高，但其恐怖指數依然不減當年。

Trift以它的懸索橋出名，位於海拔1720米的Trift懸索橋跨度有102米，距藍綠色的冰川湖面有70米的高度，是歐洲海拔最高的懸索橋。通過這座懸索橋，登山者可以快速地穿過峽谷，更快地到達冰川旁的高山小屋。

Trift冰川正在快速地融化，在過去的十年中，這座冰川減退了幾百米。現在殘留的只是一片附著在傾斜山坡上的冰；冰川的融水在峽谷中形成了一個湖，而且這個湖正在逐漸擴大。

徒步路線為坐纜車到Bergstation Triftbahn（1357m），步行1.5小時到Trift橋（1720m），然後走Ketteliweg40分鐘到Windegghütte（1887m），最後1.5小時返回Bergstation Triftbahn，總計3小時40分鐘。 Ketteliweg稍有難度，有繩索保護，還是比較安全的。纜車是2005年開通的，在這之前要看冰川的話光是進出山谷就要花4小時。

建築的設計靈感來自於臨近海灣的基地位置及其功能需求，一個超現實的空間被用於設計
展覽。 Oct設計博物館在功能上主要用於概念車、大型產品設計展示、時裝表演等。

設計的目的是創造一個超現實主題的空間並且帶給人和周圍環境超然的體驗。

室內設計依附於一個連續的，沒有投影，沒有厚度的白色曲面。從而形成了一個超現實的無邊界空間，似乎要走向永恆，讓人聯想到詹姆斯•特瑞爾的裝置藝術。由此產生的效果好似雲中霧裡。

建築變成了一個極簡純淨的背景，僅僅有一些隨機散落的三角形小窗戶跳躍在其上，好似展翅飛翔的鳥兒。普通認知上的汽車看起來很重量感十足，但是在這個無限的空間裡它變得沒有質量，從而促使曲線、光影和強烈的色彩變成展示的焦點。建築的首層擁有一個入口大廳和咖啡館，二層和三層主要用作於展覽空間，儲藏空間均勻分佈在每層之間，利用可移動的牆體來靈活控制展覽空間的規模和類型。

建築的外觀直接體現了內部連續的曲線空間。當看到建築放置在城市佈局中時，其光滑有
機的造型仍擁有相似的超現實效果。

建築周遭景觀就像建築的形態流動於地面之上，似乎來自外太空一樣。在距離海灣300米的基地上，我們從散落在海灘上光滑的石頭中汲取靈感，建築就如同一塊光滑純淨的石頭被投放在過度飽和的城市背景之下。

這是由HENN Architects事務所設計的位於德國沃爾夫斯堡汽車城的保時捷展館項目，有機的造型定義了湖邊獨特的形象，它與大眾展館遙相呼應，為參觀者提供佔地400平方米的展覽和演講面積。

它獨特的弧線將成為景觀之中出眾的地標。弧形的線條和令人嘆為觀止的彎曲與延展形成動感的結構，但同時又不失謙虛和低調。

無光的不銹鋼組成建築的外表皮，它為建築塑造統一的形象，但同時又能在天氣和光線變化的情況下發生持續的變化。

展館入口頂部是二十五米長的懸挑，它向前延展一直到達水邊，下面形成開放的聚集空間。

這個空間視覺上與周圍景觀相通，形式上又產生了隔音的效果，從而營造出一個安靜適宜的室外環境。

A few weeks ago the Dr .Ing. h. c. F. Porsche AG celebrated the opening of their Porsche Pavilion at the Autostadt in Wolfsburg in the presence of 200 guests of honor. For the first time since its opening in 2000, the theme park receives another building structure in the form of the new Porsche Pavilion, which expresses the importance of Porsche within the Volkswagen Group family.

The building is unique and its construction is extraordinary. This pavilion also has a symbolic and historical dimension, as it hints at the common roots through which Porsche and Volkswagen have been connected from the very beginning and will continue to be connected also in future

The organically shaped building is sitting – in mirrored location to the Volkswagen Pavilion- at the central axis of the theme park and offers 400 m2 of space for exhibitions and presentations. Its characteristic silhouette will become a distinctive icon amid the lagoon landscape of the Autostadt.

Curving lines and exciting bends make the Pavilion a dynamic yet reduced sculpture with its characteristics derived from the Porsche brand image. As designed by HENN, the structure captures the dynamic flow of driving with a seamless building skin. Its lines pick up speed and slow down just to plunge forward in large curves with ever-changing radii. A matte-finished stainless steel cladding forms the flush envelope of this vibrant structure, creating the impression of a homogeneous unity, whilst creating a continuously changing appearance depending on light and weather conditions. At the entrance the pavilion cantilevers 25m over the lagoon’s water surface in front. Below the cantilever of the large asymmetrical roof, a sheltered external space opens up. This space is visually connected to the surrounding landscape, but forms its own acoustic enclosure, providing seating for a few hundred guests. Architecture and landscape, interior and exterior as well as roof and facade are brought together by HENN in their architectural concept of a coherent, flowing continuum. The external area around the pavilion was designed by landscape architects WES and integrated into the overall concept of the theme park. This is how the new piazzetta creates a connection between the Porsche Pavilion and the adjacent Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Pavilion by means of water features and trees. By walking around the sculptural Porsche Pavilion, further highlights of the Autostadt can be discovered.
Similar to the monocoque construction technology used for lightweight structures in the automotive and aerospace industries, the building envelope forms a spatial enclosure whilst at the same time acting as load-bearing structure. A total of 620 sheets of stainless steel cladding with welded ribs were prefabricated in a ship-yard in Stralsund and assembled on site.
Inside the pavilion a concentrated space opens up, allowing visitors to experience the sports car brand Porsche and its history, yet, casting aside the conventional limits and restraints to perception. The elliptically curved ramp embraces the dynamic principle of the architecture and leads the visitor to the lower exhibition stage areas. The exhibition and staging concept created by hg merz architekten museumsgestalter and jangled nerves combines evolution, engineering and the fascination of Porsche into an impressive image of future-oriented tradition. The Original Porsche – a 356 No.1 built in 1948 – is the starting point for a swarm of 25 silver coloured vehicle models at the scale of 1:3, on show in the main exhibition area.
Tradition and innovation, performance and day-to-day-practicality, design and functionality, exclusiveness and social acceptance: These four antagonistic terms characterise Porsche’s values and philosophy. They are also picked up as themes in short films. A film about the company history, sound stories about selected Porsche models as well as tablet PCs with further information about the exhibited vehicles make this visit’s experience perfect.

主張『蒙特梭利』教育法的富士幼稚園，位於東京西邊立川市附近。由日本知名建築師夫妻檔手塚貴晴＆手塚由比一手打造，寬暢開放的設計、徹底綠化的環境、加上因開放式空間而自然透進的自然光，以及到處都有的小巧思設計，將幼稚園這個學習環境改造成了一個學習樂園。

好的事物也需好的行銷為其推廣，富士幼稚園委託了日本視覺設計大師佐藤可士和（知名作品之一是Uniqlo T-shirt的桶狀包裝設計），一手打造LOGO商標、幼稚園服及平面宣傳等相關設計。透過建築設計與視覺設計的結合，讓孩童從小就沐浴在生活美學之中。

Tezuka Architects joined forces with Kashiwa Sato, one of Toyko’s most respected creative directors, to build Fuji Kindergarten, a novel type of kindergarten in Tachikawa, 40km west of Tokyo.
Fuji Kindergarten’s most captivating element is its circular form. The large one-story halo-shaped building has an 183m outer circumference, and an inner circumference of 108m. Rather than symbolic or aesthetic, the the building’s circle-shape works on a practical level, whereby the central courtyard becomes a meeting point, creating and incentivising a system of communal togetherness.

Fuji Kindergarten has been designed to children’s scale, ceiling heights are restricted to 2.1m. This creates a a very close relationship between the ground level and the rooftop, creating an influential factor encouraging the children to explore without inhibition.
The main functions of the kindergarten are found underneath the oval roof. To promote social skills and remove any symbol of hierarchical structures or barriers, the kindergarten’s interior environment is free of walls. Rooms and spaces are divided in a casual manner by using light-weighted stacked furniture that children can easily reconfigure.

Cutty Sark by Grimshaw Architects:

眼前這座巨大而宏偉的博物館建築由著名的Grimshaw Architects建築事務所在2012年倫敦奧運會期間完成。

這隻製造於1869年的貨船當時主要用於從中國向英國運輸茶葉，然而現在Cutty Sark貨輪是英國僅存的一艘極富歷史意義的大型船隻，六年前它曾因一場火災停止了對市民和遊客的開放但是如今經過專業人士的精心修繕和Grimshaw Architects震撼人心的設計之後終於重新將Cutty Sark展現在世人眼前。

堅固的剛體支撐結構如同兩排井然有序的船槳一般將這個龐然大物懸在空中，貨船周圍的大面積玻璃屋頂恰好構成了遼闊的海洋，在建築外部遠遠看過去人們似乎能夠感受到曾經Cutty Sark在大海中推趕著浪花飛速航行的情景，同時人們在建築內部更加可以欣賞它優美的曲線領略那前所未有的震撼。

Cutty Sark epitomises the great age of sail; she is the last surviving tea clipper. Her remarkable story is tangible evidence of the centuries long importance of sea-trade to this country and to the growth of London as the world’s pre-eminent port and trading centre. Built as a tea clipper, where speed to market was critical, it is the combination of sail and hull form which gave Cutty Sark her edge. The hull shape is defined by the revolutionary 19th century composite iron and timber shipbuilding technique.

A comprehensive programme of conservation began on Cutty Sark in 2004, which saw the biggest overhaul of the Grade I listed landmark for 50 years with the ship’s reopening planned to take place in 2009. The project was brought to a dramatic halt when a fire in 2007 swept through the wooden structure, causing extensive damage to the centre of the ship. The disaster caught the public’s interest and initiated a major fundraising campaign, enabling the project not only to be resumed at the end of 2009 but to an enhanced design brief.
The new design proposed raising the 963 tonnes Cutty Sark three metres within the dry berth. The dry berth was created in the 1950s, and purpose built in mass concrete on a former bomb site to house Cutty Sark when she was brought to Greenwich from Shadwell Basin. The ship was floated down the Thames, and manoeuvred into the berth before the end was sealed and the water drained to allow her to rest on the berth’s floor. In order to deliver this new conservation solution, within the constraints of the dry berth, it demanded that the new interventions had to respect, repair and adapt to the original fabric of the ship.

這座奇怪的建築緊鄰一條鐵路線和19世紀的高架橋，建築由倫敦Undercurrent Architects設計，名為拱道工作室（ Archway Studios）作為一座兼辦公與居住的建築。

為了與周邊工業化環境相協調，建築採取了鏽蝕的耐候鋼作為外牆材料，看上去堅固而耐久，充滿了歷史感與力量感。建築的頂部和一側山牆為通高的玻璃，側面也彷彿被“割”了兩個口子，“擠”出來兩扇大窗，其中一個作為建築入口。所有窗戶開向南面，一個巨大的拱形辦公空間位於建築“中段”充滿了陽光卻很少受到外界干擾。居住部分則位於北側。

這棟三層高的大樓位於弗里斯蘭省會呂伐登，命名為Veilige Veste（意為“安全堡壘”），為48位深受賣淫與虐待之苦的女孩提供避難所。

該大樓在1970年代最初建造作為一個警察局，這些新的對角折疊的外牆板既起到遮掩原來結構的作用，也給房間提供了絕緣體的作用。

KAW事務所的Beatrice Montesano把這有碎面的白色方塊比作成鑽石。不像一般的避難所“藏在不知名的後巷”，她說Veilige Veste的外觀“和周圍環境有著微妙的作用”。

原來的結構造成了熱橋，熱橋的工作原理跟管道把室外冷空氣吸進來正是一樣的。用鑽石般切口的方塊面板把建築包裹起來，這樣結構就在建築之內了，同時整個建築就被一層厚厚的絕緣體覆蓋了。在某個點，現在的外觀比原來厚了3英寸。多虧這極佳的絕緣體、鑿槽屋頂和高能效設備的少量使用，Veilige Veste消耗的能源少之又少，幾乎可以忽略不計。

World’s Skinniest House Now Under Construction In Warsaw:

水塔住宅水塔在安特衛普Crepain Binst:

這座有趣的水塔住宅位於比利時的安特衛普（Antwerp），由Crepain Binst工作室設計改造。水塔住宅位於布拉斯哈特莊園內，主人是一個單身漢，獨自享受著這座舊水塔改建的六層公寓。

由於舊水塔在莊園內已經退休不再使用，於是這個雄心勃勃的團隊決定將其加以改造，讓它能繼續留在這個世上。經過改造後，樓梯可一路攀升到六樓，水塔內部也變成了一個相當loft風格的住宅，同時還殘留了些許的工業風格。

建築外牆大量利用玻璃從而使其顯得更加通透現代，可以很容易看到周邊的樹林景色。同時讓陽光更容易進入到內部。一個本來要拆掉的廢棄建築便這樣重新燃起了生命！與其主人共同的生活下去。
