April showers bring May flowers

2017-04-05T14:28:00.002-07:00

Happy birthday Ash! I know your birthday is tomorrow, however, I thought that I would sneak this shout out to you in case you get curious and check out my post. We are now into the 4th month of 2017 and it still feels like that time a year ago. For everyone that made a New Years resolution to lose a little weight, I hope it is coming along just fine and that you will be ready to show the new you by summer beach splash .

I love the rain. I always have since I was a baby and I am not going to say how old I am but I am old enough to know better and still young enough to do it anyway only not so much now. It has lost its appeal. So far so good the United States is not at war with anyone, however, I do not know how long that will last. Still waiting on all those businesses to come back to the United States. I believe there is a mass exodus to countries more favorable to profit.

The Ivory Halls of Learning are gearing up for an influx of bright-eyed-inquisitive students and hope for a better academic season is on the horizons. This is the month of Easter too, isn't it true? No wonder American kids are confused a bunny rabbit with eggs, how strange. Eggs I believe came from chickens, unless there is something I am still missing. Well enough rambling it is that time to say as they say in Hollywood after a successful film shoot; "And cut!" "That's a wrap!"

For the month of March

2017-03-07T12:15:00.001-08:00

We are into the 3rd month of the year for 2017 and it is still not too late to keep all those New Year resolutions. As for me, I did not make a resolution so to speak, however, I will exert all effort into maintaining and improving my health. I believe this is where I make a shameless plug for my product line that helps my immune system stay strong, increases my energy, holds my allergies at bay and ward off evil spirits-well not so much that: http://healthandwealthadvantage.basicreset.com.

I believe this is the month for March madness about basketball, St. Patricks Day and beginning of Spring. This month signals the final throws of winter and its freezing temperatures in some states and not so much in others. The happy event of births and the even sadder events of death, the graduations and young freshman entrants into the first day of the University indoctrination.

Businesses will start-up and businesses will bankrupt, weddings, governments will prosper and governments will become poor. Terrorists will rise and peace will be a welcome change. "United we stand and divided we fall." Let us all hope for the triumph in every pursuit we are involved in. Now, is that time that I say as they always say in Hollywood after a successful film shoot; "And cut...that's a wrap."

The new President of the United States

2017-01-09T10:35:00.003-08:00

Well, there is a lot to be said when you are considered to be an underdog. A person or group that is supposedly out of their league in terms of expectations and sure things. It just goes to remind us all that on any given Sunday, you can win. That is if you are considered to be overmatched.

Donald Trump is the new President of the United States of America and believe it or not it was not an upset victory for Donald Trump. Donald Trump came up with a trump card that spelled defeat for Hillary Clinton accused of corruption with changing servers. It was enough to raise eyebrows at an already eager group of people to say Aha, I knew it.

Like it or not and I don't Donald Trump is in and Hillary Clinton is out. The Republicans could not wait to have the moving vans outside the White House to move out former President Barack Obama and his staff. As soon as the victor was announced the moving vans had over half the former administration possessions loaded up and rushing to finish so Donald Trump and his cabinet could move right in.

Isn't it a given that all politicians are corrupt after all most of them were lawyers? Of course it is. As for the government I have adopted their stand when it comes to putting trust in politicians. Trust no one and suspect everyone. As for this edition as they always say in Hollywood after a successful film shoot. "And cut...that's a wrap!"

Merry Christmas

2016-12-09T12:16:00.001-08:00

Remember to do your shopping early and send those gifts right away if you have to mail any to avoid any delays. Also a very special Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to 'Housecat', "Everything Happens For a Reason" and Ashley Dueling. May 2017 be more prosperous than 2016.

This has been a very good year for me and I am looking forward to having a better one in 2017. I am positioning myself as the go to guy for health tips and moving my assorted product line. We have a new President and already have him settled into the White House. Hint the name. Retail stores are hitting their sales quotas and moving their merchandise at a record pace or so it seems to me. Folks are getting into that festive mood and all is well.

Thank you Ashley Dueling in guiding me to myself or should I say back to my real self a much happier, wiser and healthier self with a unique sense of humor. Cannot say enough about your clinical expertise in which you are extremely proficient and if you happen to read this blog. Thank you again.

I can now spend Christmas or New Years in Las Vegas on the Strip without any phobias. Although for anyone that has been to Las Vegas you really cannot say the same for others there. I send love, happiness and peace out to everyone, thank you. So as they always say in Hollywood after a film shoot. "And cut." "That's a wrap." also "Live long and prosper." 'Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock of the Star Trek episodes.'

Give thanks this month

Happy Thanksgiving 'Housecat' "Everything Happens For A Reason", all happiness to you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving Ash to you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Beginning at Halloween, this is the season to reflect and to bring joy and happiness and being thankful for whatever you have and to celebrate the year in retrospect from January to December.

This November a new President will become the "Commander-in-Chief" and Ambassador to the world as we know it. I feel history will be made and I will go as far to say that in the first time since Americas independence a woman will be in the white house. It is time for a woman's touch. Don't you agree? Of course you do. Be thankful and be happy that is the way to create light, fluid and positive strings of energy so that more good things will come your way and less of the bad things.

Remember to invite everyone that you can think of to your festival thanksgiving dinner as you are able and to remember the homeless and needy at this time also if you are able and to remember that all good things come from God. Isn't it true? Of course its true.

Happy Thanksgiving to all and as they always say in Hollywood after a successful film shoot. "And cut!" "That's a wrap!"

October means Happy Halloween

2016-10-11T12:23:00.002-07:00

Well, maybe it doesn't, however, it is that time of the year again when all the children dress up as zombies, witches, favorite superhero and everything else and knock on receptive doors and say, "Trick or Treat." It is so much fun to give them candy and watch those smiles and all that energy and wish them a good time and safe night. Don't you agree? Of course you do.

There are 2 things to remember adults; 1.) all candy must be wrapped
and 2.) mix it up with something in the line of a fruit snack.
You should also make sure your house is available by decorating in some Halloween theme with lots of pumpkins with candles inside of them and your house is well lit up to attract their attention.

One more thing shop early for your treats because at some time before that fun around the full moon night it has been known to run out of your favorites. Now, as they always say in Hollywood after a successful film shoot. "And cut!" "That's a wrap!"

The next President of the United States?

2016-09-06T11:28:00.003-07:00

I believe that there is a democratic and a republican candidate for the position of President and that is Hillary Clinton for the democratic nomination and Donald Trump for the republican nomination isn't it true? Well, of course it is true. There are other parties in the running, however, they are not in the media limelight. Both Hillary and Donald have made their platform speeches to why they would be the best choice for President and why the other would not be a very good choice.

Politicians have always been known to have hidden agendas and some down right corrupt in the way they conduct themselves. This is a touchy subject and I am not going to mention who I am for and who I distrust the most and not for. It comes down to a matter of letting the November election decide. May the most trustworthy candidate win and God bless America.

Now is the time for my noteworthy signature signoff and it begins "As they always say in Hollywood after a successful film shoot." And cut!" "That's a wrap!"

A divided America, will it stand?

2016-08-02T12:15:00.001-07:00

The United States of America has always been and will always be a racist, hating, bigoted blot on the world with its deep rooted hatred of blacks, gays and anyone else that is not like what white America accepts as passable. Even today, right now there are sections of America that will always be racist until the last racist person has died off.

The United States of America has improved a little bit since the 1960's only not by much. The reason is there is this attitude that "I am better than you." And the fact that their belief is misguided, retarded and abnormal, doesn't seem to effect a self analysis process to actually see that their concept of right is twisted to the far left wing of wrong.

I did not know about racism until I went to the 7th grade and was confronted with its ugliness. I have always agreed with will always agree with the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King that a person should be judged on the content of ones character and not on the color of the skin, what neighborhood they grew up in, what religion, sexual preference or any other low level measurement that is used. We are stronger together and weaker apart. I am through ranting and raving now, so as they always say in Hollywood after a successful film making, "And Cut." "That's a wrap."

O2--This deserves a repeat!

2016-07-05T10:24:00.001-07:00

There is a lot to rave about this day and I have something that is dear to my heart and it is great health and a great business which I am fortunate enough to have both. They have bonded into one great life for me and I am truly blessed to be a part of such a fantastic chance of a life time. A little about O2 is that it employs oxygen to revitalize the body from the cellular level giving optimum health and energy. The business side is getting folks on board so that they can enjoy the benefits as well.

It is by far the easiest money that you will ever make. Don't even think about trying anything else, since its launch in February of this year it has grown in the number of people that has memberships. O2 has opened up in 46 countries and more is being added at the time of this writing. You must see this for yourself to get an idea of what I am trying to get across. Here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/j4y38p7.

Well as they say in Hollywood after a successful film shooting. "And cut!" "That's a wrap."

O2 Worlwide Product Launch

2016-06-06T11:37:00.001-07:00

Sometimes in order to set things right, you just have to take matters into your own hands and sometimes on those rare occasions it comes down to our mouths. Don't you agree? Of course you do. What I am talking about is how all our food nutrients have all but lost their potency from the fruits and vegetables to the staple food that we eat to the water even to the air we breath. I like this basic take on it that "health is the first wealth." Isn't it so true?" Of course it is.

A new and revolutionary product is at last helping us to at least stabilize our rapid decline and subsequent ill health. It is called simply "O2." To learn what it means to you go here; http://tinyurl.com/j4y38p7. There is also a business compensation offer with it, that is most interesting. As I see it we all have 2 options. Option A: do something to save ourselves and possibly live healthy and strong until the day we expire naturally, or "Option B." do nothing and die early without leaving our mark on the world concerning our legacy. I choose "Option A." Your choice for that matter is entirely up to all of you. I recommend you choose wisely.

Well as they always say in Hollywood after a successful film shoot. "And cut!" "That's a wrap."

Captain America

2016-05-07T09:31:00.001-07:00

Is anyone planning on seeing "Captain America, Civil War?" I do believe that I will, only not on the first day of its showing or for that matter the first week. I believe that I will wait until after the 3rd week when the crowds have go down and the anticipation has faded.

There seems to be not too many interesting movies as of late and not to dismiss Captain America because I have always liked Captain America and the others it is what I grew up with. Don't you agree, that Hollywood seems to be running out of ideas for blockbuster movies and that they are still testing the comic strips? Of course you agree. What new movies are you planning on seeing? I hope you enjoy.

Nothing like a huge box of popcorn, a large drink, a candy bar and maybe a hotdog or 2. Junk food and being at the theater goes great together because it is comforting, isn't it true? Of course it's true. I love all the theaters with the adjustable and reclining chairs that you control. Plenty of room and space. Hope you folks enjoy the movies because it is one of America's greatest as they always say in Hollywood after one of their successful shoots, "And cut." "That's a wrap."

University Campus Safety

2016-04-08T11:32:00.000-07:00

When I think of an institution of higher learning the first thought that comes to me is, university. To me that says it all. That is where we learn to put descriptive words to our thoughts which more or less are our opinions on just about every facet of study there is and everything we become acquainted with.

When we walk those ivory halls of learning with our ideas and preparations for those specialized or general fields of study the last thing on the mind is that it may be the last time on earth that you will do anything in this physical realm. Case in point the senseless homicide of a University of Texas female co-ed, that had everything to live for and hope for suddenly ended by some predator lurking on the campus.

Even if you were to beef up security until it was more secure than Fort Knox, there will still be someone that has lost their life due to some killer or mishap of some sort. It is inevitable and the only thing is that you hope that you make it through those years to be able to at least make an initial contribution to the field that you specialized in.

What is the answer to being safe enough to live a prosperous life and enjoy your activities? I have no idea? I hope you do. Perhaps we will all be able to respect all life and love all life to want to preserve all life. We can only hope. Don't you agree? Of course you do. Now, we have reached that time, where I say as they always say in Hollywood after a successful film making, "And cut!" "That's a wrap!"

Ultimate Fighting Championship

2016-03-06T12:36:00.000-08:00

I do not love to see beautiful women going at it to prove that they are the best mixed martial artist in the world. Case in point the latest fight night in Las Vegas, Nevada between challenger Meisha Tate and Bantam Weight Champion Holly Holmes. Holmes lost the match and Tate is the new Bantam Weight Champion.

In all sports including martial arts contest any given day you can win or you can lose and that includes Sunday. There is no absolutes which translates to no guaranteed outcome, don't you agree? Of course you do. The best that anyone can do is train hard to get into the best shape of their life, take their vitamins and say their prayers at night and hope that all turns out alright, Isn't it true?

To me all the women fighters are champions and have earned their rites of passage as the best in the world at what they do. They are all beautiful, well built, elite females that have chiseled themselves the right to be called a legend. We salute you.

Well, as they always say in Hollywood after a successful film shoot. "And cut." "That's a wrap."

2016

2016-01-04T13:29:00.000-08:00

I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year celebration. New Years resolutions I did not make because I did not want to promise anything that I would not keep. So I left it blank and hope that all will work out just fine.

As usual there is always surprises pleasant and unpleasant and all will have to be taken in stride. I hope this year holds more pleasant surprises than unpleasant ones. There are still questions left yet to be answered.

Who will win the Super Bowl? Who will be number 1 and number 2 in the college polls? Who will our next President be? Will I meet Ms. Perfect? Will I marry her? Will I stay sane or am I already insane and don't know it yet? That and many more questions await for destiny to answer.

Housecat of "Everything Happens for a Reason", may this year give you all that you ever hoped for. I wish you love, peace, joy and happiness all throughout this year and a prosperous one at that. Well, as they always say after a successful film shoot, "And cut." "That's a wrap!"

Merry Christmas

2015-12-05T11:55:00.001-08:00

The words Christmas is suppose to mean Christ Day and it is the day Jesus Christ was born. The first week of Advent which is the birth of Christ celebrates 4 Sundays before the event. The first Sunday was November 29,2015 and every Sunday thereafter to the 4th and last Sunday before Jesus's birth.

For children it means toys and other presents and a big holiday dinner. A jolly fat man in a red suit and hat with a sleigh pulled by reindeer that flies from rooftop to rooftop delivering presents by sliding down the chimney into the family room/living room. Pictures and movies always show him nice and clean after coming through a chimney with a big bag to stuff stockings and leave under the tree gifts. I figure he must magically makes himself as tiny as a tack as well as the presents to emerge covered with ashes and soot.

For adults it means cooking Christmas meals, getting presents together, decorating trees, caroling, listening to christmas music and watching movies, relaxing setting up for guests.

For churches it is getting the word out about Jesus Christ, the reason for the season, decorating trees, caroling, preparing meals and making sure the less fortunate at least get a Christmas meal, putting on
reenactments of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Merry Christmas Housecat, "Everything Happens For A Reason." Merry Christmas to All, and as they say in Hollywood on a successful film shoot, "And cut." "That's a wrap."

.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

2015-11-03T10:43:00.000-08:00

I know it is early still, however, the month of November is about the time to count your blessings and to be thankful for what you have and share it with family, relatives and friends. Now, that we have entered into the beginning of 2015's last holidays of the year, Thanksgiving day is a great start of the final festive events.

Housecat, "Everything Happens For A Reason," may you and yours have a very, very Happy Thanksgiving. You are beautiful and your words of wisdom in your past blogs are just as beautiful as well as your beautiful spirit. You should consider blogging again, because you are talented blogger. I would love to meet you one day and tell you in person how wonderful you are, however, you are half way around the world and I am in the United States, so I just say so here, I love everything about you and although you may be married now, I can still remember your zest for life and it's endearing effect on my heart. Thank you Housecat.

As for me this Thanksgiving it all begins with food preparation for the meal that day, pick up popcorn and grapes to throw at opposing players of teams I am not partial to in the arena of football and just share with family, relatives and friends. Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone and be safe, comfortable and joyous. As I always conclude with my signature sign-off as they always say in Hollywood after a successful film, "And cut." "That's a wrap."

The month that is the famous Halloween signature observance

2015-10-01T12:39:00.000-07:00

Now, we are getting into the final months of 2015 and I must say we kick off October with the 31st hosting the now famous "Happy Halloween" festivities. I just love this time of year. It is so full of hope and promises of good things to come. Or maybe some bad, I should wish not. "Trick or Treat", oh how I love to hear those words from all the trick or treaters. I plan to have my candy treats ready.

By the way, here is a short list of do's for the chaperones of this yearly event:
1.) Make sure all trick or treaters or a supervisor have flashlights or a glow stick and it is on
2.) Cross safely at all intersections
3.) Take no unwrapped candy with you home
4.) Commute in groups
5.) Stop at reasonable time when celebrating, it should conclude at 9:00 PM the latest
6.) Watch all the Halloween films making for just the right type of movies at this time.
7.) Finally, try not to eat too much candy and get a stomach ache.

Remember, have fun it is a holiday however, unofficially and as they always say in Hollywood after a successful film shoot on a set, "And cut." "That's a wrap."

September

2015-09-08T11:36:00.000-07:00

I suppose you can call this month the fall of the calendar months. However, fall is not official until later. I guess calling the month of September, "Autumn," will have to do. The trees are beginning to look as though they are gearing up to shed their leaves and the grass will be turning partly brown, unless you have astro-turf.

Pre-season football is in now and soon it will be regular season. I suppose September is the month of reckoning for making all preparations for an easy winter or a hard cold one. There are a few places that have what is called "Indian Summer" and there are other places that have the telltale signs of a change of season approaching.

Whatever part of the country you are in I am sure September will leave its calling card in your city and state. I prefer Spring although I enjoy the holiday months. What may I ask, Is your season of choice? That is, if you are reading this blog of course. Well, enjoy your choice and as I usually say with my signature sign off, as they always say in Hollywood after a film shoot. "And cut." "That's a wrap."

Back to school

2015-08-08T11:43:00.000-07:00

Now is the time of year that all folks that are still interested in meeting new people, forming friendships or fiendships, learning new things and having the hopes and dreams of putting all that theory to work in the real world after graduation comes around again. How did you spend your summer vacation? Most likely not studying only partying. Well, enjoy ,you only live once, just make the memories of what you did, good ones and not the ones that you never, ever, want to mention again or remember when?

Education is important from the standpoint of broadening your views of the different and interesting fields of study there is and becoming a more well-rounded person with the ability to voice his or hers thoughts and opinions clearly and decisively. Finish school, it is the best choice that you will ever make. The things that are most valuable and hold the most meaning is never easy to come by. It requires hard work and dedication to step up and face up to the challenges that are the most rewarding. The challenge of completing school. Just do it.

"Learning is what we will be doing for the rest of our lives." So, learn all you can and be the best that you can be and the best person that you can be. It is now that time to say as the always say in Hollywood after a successful film shoot. "And cut." "That's a wrap."

Happy 4th of July weekend everyone!

2015-07-02T12:23:00.001-07:00

For everyone that love back to back overcrowded places and lots of fun-loving adventures there is only one place that comes to mind. Las Vegas, Nevada. 24-hour non-stop entertainment. Anyone that has ever been to Vegas, knows what I'm telling. Personally I do not like loud people and a bunch of fireworks, however, there are quite a few folks that do.

I love the all-you-can-eat buffets with chefs around the world serving their best entrees. I love the themed hotel casinos theaters, shopping and 24 hour comedy, concert singing, zoological and botanical gardens, soon to be open water park that was running full time a few years back and the unbeatable street entertainment. It is a city that is still hard on the homeless because of the tourism, however, it is a place for them also and they do sometimes offer their trade to a willing audience.

All that being said I find the quietness and peacefulness of Mount Charleston quite satisfactory for me as well as Lake Tahoe. I just have to watch out for those Dick Cheyney's out there with firearms. Don't want to be a hunting accident. Here is an itemized list of things to make note of: (1.) Have adult supervision when detonating fireworks, (2.) release fireworks in designated areas and away from any known veteran abode, (3.) attend free fireworks day celebration events where professionals will be in charge of fireworks displays and (4.) Stay indoors and watch from your patio-balcony with your astronomers telescope. Number 4 is for those of us that do not like loud noises. It is that time once again where I say as they always say in Hollywood after a successful film shoot; "And cut!" "That's a wrap!"

Alcohol

2015-06-01T10:50:00.004-07:00

If you ever thought about what alcohol does to the body, brain and heart all I can say is that it does take its toll. Then there are folks that says there is nothing wrong with it. Well, I see folks that drink and folks that don't and there is a huge difference in physical looks and physical health.

Just one sip of alcohol can stay in your system for 2 hours. The liver bears the brunt of the damage and although some people appear not to suffer from those effects I add "don't judge a book by the cover", best get an x-ray and then judge for yourself. Due to water retention alcohol bloats your skin. Giving that puffy look. A mild drinker heart can be a few beats off normal.

Needless to say the damaging effects are cumulative and though you are fine now there is no guarantee that you will be later. As for you folks that love to party, I know that this little tidbit of information will not stop you from killing yourself slowly, however, it is my hope that you would seriously consider making healthier choices. Well, as they always say in Hollywood after a film production; "And cut." "That's a wrap."

Aldi supermarkets

2015-04-08T17:28:00.002-07:00

Move over Wal-Mart, move over Trader Joes, there is a new kid on the block that is more efficient, cheaper than you both and is more likely to take the country by storm. The store name is Aldi and is a German held company with over 8,000 outlets and is still growing.

There is not a lot of brand names at this store because it is private label stocked. 90% of its stock to be more exact is private label. The middleman is out of the picture and that helps keep prices on items low. With less items sales go up, prices go down and discounts become more frequent than at Wal-Mart or Trader Joes. That is something to cheer about, don't you agree? Of course you do.

Please bring you own bags from home, because this helps bring prices down. Expect to pay a quarter deposit for shopping cart, this also brings prices down. Now, let me ask you, wouldn't you rather shop where you get real savings on your purchases or would you rather shop at Wal-Mart or Trader Joes and be told you saved and didn't?

If there is not an Aldi's in your neighborhood, look to have one soon, because they are coming on strong and taking no prisoners. It is that time again to quip as they say in Hollywood. "And cut." "That's a wrap."

Feel good gene

2015-03-08T11:03:00.003-07:00

I would love to feel good all of the time, all day and night, every day and night, however, that is not the case. I imagine everyone would love to feel good all the time, isn't that right? Of course it is. The flip side of the coin is when there is a distinct sense of unease/foreboding otherwise known as anxiety finds nearly everyone at some time or another.

The good news is that scientists uncovered a genetic variation in the brain that makes some people less anxious and more able to forget fearful and unpleasant experiences. High levels of anandamide, the bliss molecule is the text-book term for that ability.

20% of adult Americans have this gene. Talk about luck of the draw, this is the one folks. The rest of us have to find some other conventional way of getting to nirvana. Other than taking non-prescription drugs. Talking it out with a trusted therapist, music, gardening, reading a good book, movies and the list goes on. It is always easy to say, "don't worry, be happy!". The truth of the matter, most of us have to work at it, don't you agree? Of course you do. Now as they always say in Hollywood after another successful film shoot, "And cut." "That's a wrap!"
