As the holiday season is approaching, the hunt for the perfect gift for that special person is getting harder by the minute. A while ago I've asked my friend Melenie which vanity items she like to indulge and break the bank on? Without any hesitations she said Perfume, " I usually set in front of my vanity, pat my face with fresh minty water and then spray a little bit of perfume on my finger tips, rub my neck and elbows. I learned to do that from my mother and it just makes me feel special everyday". Thus here is some suggestions.

While I'm waiting to board on my connecting flight. I thought of taking a few minutes from the duty free shops and the world class boutiques at Abu Dhabi International Airport to introduce to you this months special feature. Africa has always been the land of hidden treasures and a major fashion inspiration from the safari dresses to the animals prints, snake skin and crocodiles handbags. Wither you are in love with this magical continent or not Africa has lots to give and tell.

Thus while I'm moving into one of the most beautiful African cities Cape Town, I'll be feature some of the most wonderful editorials. designers, artistes and fashionistas of the African continent, thus September is the official African Month in Fashion 101.

A couple of days ago, I have received a distressed e-mail from WFP executive director Josette Sheeran explaining to me the situation in the horn of Africa and how the famine has affected so many people. "The famine is taking countless lives, mostly children. We’ve been scaling up our operations for six months, but Somalia has been hit especially hard by consecutive droughts and an ongoing conflict that has limited humanitarian access." Sheeran explains.

"The suffering is terrible across the Horn of Africa. In Kenya, lack of water and high food prices are causing a dramatic rise in the number of severely malnourished children. At the refugee camps in Dadaab, which I visited on Saturday, we’re providing three-week food rations to families arriving from Somalia, many of whom haven’t eaten for days." Shaeeran adds.

I have took it as my personal responsibility to work and help with the WFP in raising funds and helping powerless people in Africa, Asia, Americas and all over the world. As a WFP partner I have in rolled my self in we feedback, a WFP initiative to raise funds for the humanitarian aid in places like the horn of Africa.

How can you help? Simply by 2 things

2.You can act now by donating food via We Feedback.

Just when I was preparing for this weeks Music Sunday, I was hit by the news. Amy Winehouse, age 27 has left us to go to a much peaceful place.The cause of death is still a mystery, but close friends of Amy believe that a drug overdose is not the cause, to honer this amazing raw talent, I have chosen one of the songs/video that really shows Amy's soul (you can notice how Amy weeps as she sings, don't you think it is just wonderful), as an advt fan and admirer I hope that she is in a better place.

Rick Genest aka. Zombie Boy have been featured in this months Italian GQ photographed by Aline&Jacqueline Tappia. Genest, 25 came to fame once he was discovered by Nicola Formichetti, creative director of Mugler and a Gaga collaborator, who’d found his picture online, in January he became the face of French fashion house Thierry Mugler’s men’s collection. By February he was starring in Lady Gaga’s video for “Born this way".

The leading Japanese retailer UNIQLO is planing to donate approximately 100 million yen through the sales of a limited edition celebrity designed T-shirts to the Japanese Red Cross Society to aid in the recovery efforts in northeastern Japan. 10 celebrities including Karl Lagerfeld, Blake Lively, Lady Gaga and Victoria Beckham has taken part in the project designing there own unisex T-shirts with messages of support to Japan.

Personally I liked Karl Lagerfeld's and Blake Lively design. The collection is going to be in stores June 15th with a retail price of $19.90 make sure to get your hands on your favorite T-shirt before it's too late.

Donate directly to the Japanese Red Cross Society, and to other aid organizations.

After my last post in here, life started to take some unexpectedly wrong turns. I lost my grandma, school wasn't going great, too much stress at work and a long long period of depression.But now after a couple of months from hell I have turned my fate the other way round and aimed to get back on my feet. Losing my Job was the greatest thing that happened to me and now school is getting better, which means that I have more time for you guys :)

If you have been reading me from the beginning of this year you must know that there is a facelift/ revamping of the blog which never happened (YET), will I have finished almost every thing and I only have a couple of coding stuff to do, once the code is done. The new blog is on ! But as for now I'll be blogging regularly, I'll try to come up with new ideas to fresh'n up the blog. But I absolutely love to hear what you have in mind so pretty pretty please if you have any idea (Silly/Crazy/Awesome) do share it with me I just love to hear of what you like and dislike. Why Be Normal ?

This morning I was listening to NPR Music's All Songs Considered and doing my regular morning activities, the show's presenters where actually talking about a band (Animals as Leaders) and one of the presenters described the band as "Elegant Monsters" which really intrigued my thoughts. When she said monster obviously Lady Gaga popped out of my head, but as soon as she said elegant monster I began to wonder if there is such a thing as an elegant monster in fashion, the more I started to think about it the more determined I was to define what an "Elegant Monster" is.

I took into my computer and references and started flipping every inch of it to find something that I could relate being elegant and monstrous at the same time, had them all in a mood board and started defining what I think an Elegant Monster should be; An Elegant Monster is a person who is not afraid of showing of his/her personality, they are very strong and has tons of positive strong attitude (confidence) which radiates enormously, they are very comfortable in their skin, independent in their style and fashion furthermore they are not afraid of portraying whatever they feel when it comes to dressing up. They are everywhere around us, from all backgrounds, sexes, believes and colors.

An Elegant Monster in Dosan Park

Coming up with a general definition of what an elegant monster got my mind to rest, but not for too long. I began to wonder about a much bigger question why be normal? Aren't being abnormal what makes us different looking at all of those "Elegant Monsters" I can see all of their abnormalities which really made them stand out from everyone. What do you think; could someone be special and normal at the same time? Do you see a connection between being normal and being special or both are mutually exclusive?

Vogue Turkey's Ledy Marmelat

Vogue Turkey has always been one of my favorite publications, with it's fresh faces, wonderful editorials and it's a-listed collaborators, but when it comes to stupid editorial titles Vogue Turkey has it share, Ledy Marmelat which translates as Lady Marmalade is just one of plenty unrelated editorials, when I hear Lady Marmalade I think of feathers, corsets and low cut show girl costumes. But according to editor Vittoria Cerciello and photographer Benny Horne, it is a feature of a beautiful mix of this years resort wardrobe with labels like Missoni, Miu Miu and Lanvin.

The title of the editorial does not relate in any kind of way to the editorial itself, but I'm pretty hooked up with the feel and concept. Vogue Turkey start finding some nice and related titles for your editorials that might make people more interested to buy your magazine.
