Being gay and black in the 50s probably weren't the best social circumstances, but look what he managed to do with it! He could either be an outcast or play Rock 'n Roll. This album cover really strikes a chord with me when taking into account the musical context.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 280px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-da6jzvTVq-U/TYwlI_CUVZI/AAAAAAAAABo/yQw3mH1XT-0/s200/little_richard.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5587882073950279058" />

Steev Mikehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16130918118946252100noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-597194804904823415.post-49216687830970515752011-03-24T00:36:00.000-07:002011-03-24T00:41:50.962-07:002011-03-24T00:41:50.962-07:00
Recently discovered this band, and there's really not much I can say. If you're into the more hardcore/crust side of heavy music, definitely check this out. One of the most striking album covers I've seen for a while.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZW3cfSDNhbc/TYq6RqcR4GI/AAAAAAAAABg/tUvBp7TYhGI/s200/Trap_Them_-%2B2011.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5587483100319965282" />

Steev Mikehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16130918118946252100noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-597194804904823415.post-60413768459541713612011-03-23T07:54:00.000-07:002011-03-23T08:10:22.324-07:002011-03-23T08:10:22.324-07:00One last post for the night continuing with the Devin Townsend theme -- cover art for Terria. It does a fantastic job of conveying the album's message and themes. I would highly recommend the album if you haven't heard it, check it out!

Steev Mikehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16130918118946252100noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-597194804904823415.post-39246796202910969552011-03-23T07:30:00.000-07:002011-03-23T07:32:03.114-07:002011-03-23T07:32:03.114-07:00Just a quick note -- Devin Townsend is nearing closer to releasing his next two albums (Deconstruction & Ghost), and naturally there has been some preview tracks available. This is one of them. A haunting bass solo from Ghost....very chilling, very ambient. Check it out here: http://soundcloud.com/ghostdt/drench

Steev Mikehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16130918118946252100noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-597194804904823415.post-23768720002720385292011-03-23T04:02:00.000-07:002011-03-23T04:09:15.719-07:002011-03-23T04:09:15.719-07:00Hello, welcome to my new blog.

It seems I've arrived at post #1, so I guess I should say what I intend on doing here.
