Dacia has refreshed the exterior and interior design of its three signature models, namely the Logan MCV, the Sandero and the Sandero Stepway. These enhancements embody Dacia's new, more assertive and even more modern lighting signature.

Dacia design is on the move. The models display a new lighting signature front and rear for an even more dynamic, contemporary look. The design of the front and rear lights has been revised. The front LED daytime running lights feature a pattern of three stacked rectangles. The rear lighting signature is based on three illuminated squares.
The new Logan MCV and the new Sandero all share a more modern front bumper design, along with chrome detailing for the air intake grille. Meanwhile, the design of the front and rear bumpers has been reworked to emphasise the models' muscular stance.

These design enhancements are shown to particularly powerful effect on the new Sandero Stepway. This model has a new frontal identity which picks up on the design cues of the Duster. The grille elegantly combines the black tones of the bumper with chrome detailing which brings an even more dynamic touch to the vehicle's nose. At the rear, a chromed exhaust tailpipe highlights the car's tough, ready-for-action character.

Chrysler 300C SRT-8

Chrysler's 300C SRT8 is the car we thought the American auto industry would not build again. After the muscle-car era, U.S. automakers relinquished the high-performance family-sedan formula to the Germans (who added refinement but charged elitist prices) and Japanese (who charged a little less than the Germans but somehow sterilized the whole thing).

On occasion, the home industry was good for the affordable yet unrefined eye-opener that temporarily salved our pain-to name a few, the Buick Grand National and GNX, the Chevrolet Impala SS, and the Ford Taurus SHO. Those vehicles offered performance and price but lacked the refinement of the import brands. For 2004, Cadillac gave us the 400-hp CTS-V that matched the performance and refinement of the über-sedans, but at $51,485, GM charges fully for it.

What makes the SRT8 version of Chrysler's 300C exceptional is that it's the first sedan from anyone, anywhere, to combine the refinement and performance of the pricey supersedans with a sticker of $42,095, no incentive necessary. It's something the U.S. auto industry should have done long ago, but it was worth the wait.

Without the 10Best-winning 340-hp 300C, which probably wouldn't have gestated in its current form had it not been for the Mercedes merger, SRT (Street and Racing Technology) director Dan Knott would not have had such a superb starting point on which to perform the modifications necessary to make the car into something worthy of SRT badging. For those whose free time is completely taken up by reruns of VH1's Strange Love, the SRT division of Chrysler and Dodge is akin to Mercedes-Benz's AMG and BMW's M division in that they take regular production cars and up the ante until they have about 50 more horsepower than you'd expect.

In the case of the 300C SRT8, the enhanced engine makes 425 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque from a bored-out, high-compression-ratio 6.1-liter version of the corporate 5.7-liter Hemi V-8. Tricks such as variable valve timing or a multistage intake manifold are not present. New stuff includes just a single hot camshaft sitting in the block, 16 lightened valves, and a forged crankshaft that allows the large V-8 to spin to a melodic 6400 rpm. The torque peak arrives at 4800 rpm. That may sound high for an engine this big, but the copious displacement means enough torque is available off idle to put the limited-slip differential to good use. Compared with the 5.7-liter it's based on, the 6.1-liter feels sportier and, oddly, smaller because of its penchant for high revs.

An eager five-speed automatic modified by SRT provides immediate upshifts and downshifts and is a terrific partner to the 6.1-liter. Full-throttle shifts at the redline are accompanied by an explosive sonic boom from the exhaust. Back off the throttle, and the sound becomes mellow and unobtrusive. At 70 mph we measured 69 dBA of noise, but you don't hear the engine as much as you hear the wind rushing around the brick-like body and the hum of the wide tires. Following the logic of AMG's offerings, the German automaker's American operations do not offer a clutch pedal. Manual transmissions in sedans this large and with this much power somehow feel out of place and too often suffer from high efforts that make them difficult to drive smoothly.

The 911 is the most successful model in Porsche’s history. It started its long history back in 1963 and since then Porsche has offered five distinct generations: 911 classic, 964 Series, 993 Series, 996 Series, and 997 Series. After a long wait and a hi-jacking of the official images, Porsche has revealed its sixth generation ahead of its official debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

It may be a little unorthodox for Porsche to be bringing out a new generation 911 despite the fact they just revealed a facelift version, but the requests keep changing and Porsche must answer the call of duty. Their latest target is improving both fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The sixth generation 911, or the 991, will be a completely new vehicle, even though everyone will recognize it as a 911 model. Shortly after the launch of the 998 911, Porsche will also be releasing the Turbo, GT2, and GT3 in 2012.

The new generation 911 is now officially on sale on the US market, with prices starting from $82,100 for the Carrera and $96,400 for the Carrera S (excluding destination fees). "Whether this will be a customer’s first or just their latest Porsche 911, it’s going to be the most invigorating ownership experience yet," said Detlev von Platen, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America. "The 911 Carrera and Carrera S are the ultimate choices for drivers who want the fun and excitement of a true benchmark-setting sports car week in and week out, not just for show or play during the weekends."

An American customer took his new Carrera S to a drag strip in the US to see how fast the car could run the quarter mile. While the result is unofficial, it still stands at an impressive 12.04 seconds. That’s comparable to the current Nissan GT-R which has an official quarter mile time of 12.05 seconds. The Volkswagen CC is a "four-door coupe" that seeks to combine the dramatic styling of a coupe with the practicality of a sedan. Like the Mercedes-Benz CLS that sparked this emerging segment, the CC seats four, providing easier access to the rear seats than a normal coupe.
For the latest model year, Volkswagen updated the CC with more standard equipment as well as revised exterior styling.

The CC is based on the outgoing version of the bread-and-butter Passat sedan. That doesn’t mean the CC is outdated, however: whereas the latest Passat has been enlarged, de-contented and cheapened to appeal to the middle of the American market, the older Passat was a more luxurious, refined and highly-tuned driver’s machine.

The CC’s connection to the old Passat is most visible in its sophisticated cabin. Soft-touch materials abound, fit and finish is excellent and the overall design is intuitive, flowing and polished.

It is the CC’s exterior that will win over most buyers, though. The overall look is one of simple elegance, with details like a relatively low, sloping roofline and sleek lights contributing to the attractive, expensive-seeming mien.

Styling changes for the latest model year include a simpler, more conservative grille and headlamp design that brings the look more in line with Volkswagen's mainstream Passat and Jetta offerings. The front and rear fascias were also worked over, while Bi-Xenon headlights with VW’s Adaptive Front Lighting System and LED taillamps are now standard equipment.

The H3 boasts great off-road capability in a distinctive, rugged package. However, it costs a lot more than similar SUVs, offers only mediocre highway performance, and has the worst fuel economy in its class.

With a base price that's over $33,000, the H3 is one of the most expensive SUVs in its class -- even when compared to other off-road SUVs. Even worse, its poor 14/18 mpg fuel economy rating is the lowest in its class. While these factors may make the H3 seem like a lousy value, its excellent all-terrain capabilities and high ground clearance might make it worth it for real off-road enthusiasts. In addition, the 2009 base model received an "Excellent" value rating from IntelliChoice, meaning its five-year cost of ownership is better than average.

Still, if you can live without the Hummer's military-inspired styling, there are more affordable choices available. "For shoppers without true wanderlust, most other midsize SUVs make more sense," confirms Consumer Guide.

Other SUVs to Consider
If you just want an SUV that still looks cool, consider the Toyota FJ Cruiser. It offers off-road abilities but also boasts better fuel economy (16/20 mpg) and costs nearly $10,000 less than the Hummer. Another great off-road SUV is the Jeep Wrangler, which performs just as well as the Hummer, saves you another $2,000 off its price, comes with the same rugged styling and has a marginally better fuel economy.

The Volkswagen Golf TDI offered a couple of surprises and pleasures. The biggest pleasure was the economy - 41.7 mpg in our test and even more on the highway. This translated to some embarrassment, but more importantly it translated to fewer visits to the local station and, despite the higher cost of diesel fuel, a lower bill at the end.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not the brightest light on the Christmas tree, but I really proved it during the test of the Volkswagen Golf TDI. Know I knew, somewhere, that TDI meant a diesel engine. But because of oldzheimer’s and the rush to get over the hills and through the woods to daughter's house for Thanksgiving, the bell didn't go off.

Throughout the entire trip I was continually impressed by the fuel economy, which exceeded 43 mpg on the onboard economy gauge. Still, I felt it would be a wise move to fill up when we were about 90 miles from home, even though there was still more than a quarter tank left. So I pulled up to the gas pump, opened the fuel door, and saw this big sticker, "Diesel Fuel Only." Thank God they didn't add "dumkopf."

The Golf and GTI are favorites among staffers because they combine a practical and attractive shape with performance, quality appointments, and value. The GTI has a turbo engine and a firm chassis that provides stellar handling. New Golf R adds more power and all-wheel drive to the mix.

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren was discontinued a year ago, when the German automaker and British racing specialist decided to part ways. Mercedes has since released the SLS AMG, and McLaren has its new MP4-12C. But it looks like McLaren has one last ace up its sleeve for the old supercar.
The new SLR McLaren Edition sports revised bodywork (front bumper, grille, hood, side gills, rear diffuser, rims) and interior parts, along with upgraded steering and suspension components and new ceramic brakes. The 5.5L supercharged V8 appears to have been left untouched and is expected to deliver 626 hp, 575 lb-ft of torque, 207 mph top speed, and a 0-62 mph run in under 3.8 seconds.
In line with its name, the limited-edition car’s Mercedes badges have been given a smoked finish to blend in with the rest of the car, while the McLaren badges are highlighted in red. The company plans to build just 25 examples of the McLaren Edition, which it showed off recently at the Essen Motor Show in Germany. No word on pricing or availability, though we’d imagine they’re probably all spoken for already.

Saleen knows all about power. As in S281 Mustangs, N2O Focuses and the S7, America's first (and still the only) mid-engine exotic supercar. When it went on sale in 2002, the S7 was the only street-legal car in the U.S. with more than 500 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. The media and S7 owners have raved about the car since it first smoked the rear tires in anger. And it has been recognized by numerous automotive magazines as the fastest production car in the world. But during the past three years the automobile marketplace has witnessed an explosion of performance with models from manufacturers including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Chevrolet touting power numbers above the once magic 500 level.

Saleen is not an organization content to rest on yesterday's 0-60 mph times or quarter-mile speeds. So in 2005, it was "goodbye S7" and "all hail the S7 Twin Turbo!" This is the first major change to the S7 since its introduction, and it is a big change as in 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque, numbers the competition will be chasing for a long while we predict.

While there are a number of different roads Saleen's engine designers could have traveled down to achieve those high-altitude horsepower and torque figures, for this second edition of the S7 they decided to think beyond atmospheric. And because this is Saleen, they added a double twist to a tried and true racing technique for boosting power and torque: twin turbos.

Aerodynamics has also come under scrutiny in 2005. Unless you place the new S7 Twin Turbo next to one of the original 2002 models, you probably won't notice that the 2005 version has a different diffuser/rear spoiler package and reshaped front fenders to enhance the S7s already sleek, swoopy and aerodynamic contours. To complement the Twin Turbo's enhanced straight-line performance envelope the S7 chassis has also undergone a fair amount of tweaking. Virtually every suspension pickup point has been changed, and the suspension geometry has been modified for less squat and dive during acceleration and braking.

The Koenigsegg CCX in essence is an updated version of the successful CC/CCR models. The main aim of developing this car, according to Swedish auto maker Koenigsegg, is to allow their company to penetrate the world market, particularly the United States. The CCX, which first appeared during the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, is so named because this is an acronym that stands for Competition Coupe X, with the X marking the 10 years since the first CC car was developed in 1996.But the X could have stood for another word: extreme.

Performance

First, the aerodynamically contoured CCX is constructed out of carbon fiber and Kevlar. This structure contributes to its light curb weight. And just how aerodynamic this car is? The drag coefficient for the CCX was rated at 0.30, a phenomenally low figure. Its design, together with its set of diffusers, spoilers, and vortex generators, is known to generate some serious down force; 60 kilograms on the front and 65 kilograms on the rear at 120 miles per hour. The wheels used for this car are made from magnesium alloy, though it can be upgraded to a carbon/magnesium composite wheel that is lighter by 3 kilograms compared to the standard wheels. Providing the stopping power is 14.3 inch disc brakes located at all 4 wheels.

Most people know that Mazda builds sporty cars. But for driving enthusiasts, it's the company's history of building sport coupes with lightweight rotary engines that sets it apart from the competition. The Mazda RX-8 is the latest of these coupes, and it's the only one with a four-door configuration.

The heart of the Mazda RX-8 is its high-revving, 1.3-liter rotary engine called the Renesis. It's a made-up word: The "R" and the "e" stand for "Rotary engine," while "nesis" comes from the word "genesis." Odd name aside, the Renesis engine is an impressive bit of engineering: Unlike its forebears, it locates the exhaust ports on the side of each of the combustion chambers, rather than on the outer edge of the rotary housing. Sounds simple, but this one change allows for more power, higher fuel economy and lower emissions.

Because of the engine's compact size, engineers were able to mount it farther back in the RX-8's chassis, giving the car a coveted 50/50 front/rear weight distribution. This, along with balanced suspension tuning, sharp steering and a svelte 3,000-pound curb weight, makes the rear-wheel-drive RX-8 one of the best-handling cars on the market. However, the car's power is a bit lacking; newer competitors provide considerably more oomph.

Current Mazda RX-8

The Mazda RX-8 is a four-seat coupe with a pair of rear-hinged "suicide" doors that ease access to the rear seats. Every RX-8 is powered by a 1.3-liter twin rotary engine, with an output that depends on the transmission. The six-speed manual version produces 232 horsepower at a stratospheric 9,000 rpm, and is capable of a 0-60 run in about 6 seconds. The six-speed automatic gets 212 hp and a redline of 7,500 rpm. All RX-8s have a rather paltry 152 pound-feet of torque, which means you have to hold the rotary engine on the boil to keep the car lively. Therefore, we'd suggest only buying an RX-8 with the manual.

There are three trim levels available: Sport, Grand Touring and R3. Even the base car comes well equipped with 18-inch wheels, performance tires, cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a six-speaker CD stereo with an auxiliary audio jack. The Grand Touring gets a limited-slip rear differential, automatic xenon headlights, a power driver seat, memory functions, heated seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, keyless ignition/entry, a Bose stereo, Bluetooth and a navigation system. The R3 is a high-performance variant packing 19-inch wheels, an aggressively tuned suspension, Recaro sport seats, exterior body modifications and some of the other trims' high-tech convenience features.

Although the Mazda RX-8 has the look of a race-tuned sports car, its demeanor on the road is considerably more docile. Its ample grip through corners and solid feedback through the steering wheel make it an absolute riot on a serpentine road, yet a compliant ride means that it won't beat you up on the daily commute. The rotary engine requires high engine speeds to make serious power, but the delivery is virtually vibration-free and noise levels are subdued. If you like a smooth engine (in feel, sound and delivery), the RX-8's is second to none.

First launched in 1966 the Dodge Charger was an instant hit. With the fastback fad of the mid 1960's the new Charger's were a streamlined Coronet with rich interior and plenty of power. From the get-go the Dodge Charger could be had with the all mighty 426 Hemi, and with the Muscle Car Market in full explosion Mopar fans rushed with enthusiasm to purchase the new Charger.

The 1969 Charger still used the same body as the previous year but the received a divided grille and new taillights. The base Chargers had the 225-cid slant-six and the 318-cid V-8 as standard engines. The Charger R/T had the 440-cid V-8 as it's standard engine. You could get a Charger SE which was a mix of sport and luxury that had all of the standard Charger features plus leather and vinyl bucket seats, simulated woodgrain steering wheel, deep-dish wheel covers, hood-mounted turn signal indicators, simulated woodgrain instrument panel, and the light group option. The Charger 500 was based on the standard Charger but differed in the flush-mounted grille, fixed headlights, and a flush-mounted rear window glass for lower wind resistance.

To compete in NASCAR and to comply with the newly set standards, Dodge produced a limited number of Charger 500s but soon they realized that they were not providing an advantage over Ford. As a solution, the Daytona Charger was introduced. With a unrmistakenable roof-high spoiler, elongated nose made of fiberglass, these cars could charge down the speedway at nearly 200 mph. The re-design paid off as Bobby Isaac won the Daytona 500 in February 1969. Approximately 1000 Dodge Daytona Charger's were produced and along with the 500 have become two of the most desirable of all Chargers.

The Toyota Supra is a sports car/grand tourer that was produced by Toyota Motor Company from 1979 to 2002. The styling of the Toyota Supra was derived from the Toyota Celica, but it was both longer and wider.[4] Starting in mid-1986, the Supra (in its third generation, Mark III) became its own model and was no longer based on the Celica. In turn, Toyota also stopped using the prefix Celica and began just calling the car Supra.[5] Due to the similarity and past of the Celica's name, it is frequently mistaken for the Toyota Supra, and vice versa.
The Supra also traces much of its roots back to the Toyota 2000GT with the main instance being its engine. The first three generations were offered with a direct descendant to the Toyota Crown's and 2000GT's M engine. All four generations of Supra produced have an inline 6-cylinder engine. Interior aspects were also similar, as was the chassis code "A".
Along with this name and car Toyota also included its own logo for the Supra. It is derived from the original Celica logo, being blue instead of orange. This logo was used until January 1986, when the Mark III Supra was introduced. The new logo was similar in size, with orange writing on a red background, but without the dragon design. That logo, in turn, was on Supras until 1991 when Toyota switched to its current oval company logo. (the dragon logo was a Celica logo regardless of what color it was. It appeared on the first two generations of the Supra because they were officially Toyota Celicas. The dragon logo was used for the Celica line until it too was discontinued.)
In 1998, Toyota ceased sales of the Supra in the United States[5] and in 2002 Toyota officially stopped production of the Supra in Japan.
As an iconic sports car, the Supra has appeared in numerous video games, movies, music videos and TV shows. Some of the most notable appearances include the Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport, Need for Speed, and Midnight Club series of video games and the 2001 film, The Fast and the Furious.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse was introduced in 1989 and has remained in production in the modern era. The name 'Eclipse' came from a eighteenth century English racing horse which won 26 races. Since its inception, it has been redesigned on a number of occasions, and there has been four distinct generations. The first two generations were very similar and shared many mechanical components and design features. The third generation was a redesigned vehicle sitting a top a new platform.

There were four trim levels available for the first generation Mitsubishi Eclipse. The top-of-the line trim level was an all wheel drive version; the others were front-wheel drive. Both were available with the optional turbocharged engine. The trim levels included the base, GS, GS-T, and GSX. The base engine was a 1.8-liter 8-valve SOHC engine that produced just under 100 horsepower. The GS with DOHC was a 2-liter engine that raised horsepower to 136. The turbocharged version had over 180 horsepower.

Attached to the engine were a five-speed manual gearbox as standard equipment. A four-speed automatic was available for an additional cost. The AWD models included a limited-slip center differential and output shaft for a transfer case that was different than the FWD versions.

The second generation of the Eclipse began production in 1995 and continued into 1999. A Spyder version was now available, which offered convertible driving. Horsepower on all engines improved; the base 2.0-liter engine produced 140 horsepower. The 2.4-liter engine produced 141 and the 2.0-liter engine with turbocharger produced 210 horsepower.

There were now seven trim levels available including the RS, GS, GS Spyder, GS-T, GS-T Spyder and GSX.
In 1997 the model was giving aesthetic improvements. The front grille was updated, the headlights reshaped, and the driving lights became smaller and round. The reverse lights were moved away from their central position.

Built along side of the Eclipse was the Eagle Talon which was produced until 1989 when Eagle went out of business. The Talon was available in Base, ESi, TSi, and TSi AWD. Minor styling changes between the Talon and the Eclipse segregated these two vehicles.

The third generation of the eclipse appeared in 2000 and remained in production until 2005. It was a drastic styling change from its pior-self, with styling cues borrowed from the Mitsubishi SST design study which had debuted at the 1998 North American International Auto Show.

The Eclipse now shared a platform with the 8th generation Galant. Weight and size increased, and so did the engines displacement size. The base engine was a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 140 horsepower. The 3.0-liter V6 engine raised horsepower to the tune of 200 horsepower.

The GTS trim was introduced in 2003. It had a 10:1 compression ratio and an improved Variable Induction Management air intake system that raised horsepower by 10.

The fourth generation of the Eclipse was shown at the 2005 Detroit Auto Show. The big news was the 3.8-liter V6 engine that raised horsepower to 263. The base 2.4-liter engine is rated at 165 horsepower. There is only one drive type available - front wheel drive. The Spyder version was released for 2007 at the North American International Auto Show.

The 2006 edition of Nissan's two-seat sports car carries into the 2007 model year pending a freshened version due in calendar '07. The 350Z comes as a hatchback coupe and a convertible. Coupe models are called base, Enthusiast, Touring, Track, and Grand Touring. Convertibles come in Enthusiast, Touring, and Grand Touring trim. The sole engine is a 3.5-liter V6. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard, and all 350Zs so equipped have 300 hp. A 5-speed automatic is available for Enthusiast, Touring, and Grand Touring models and triggers a 287-hp rating. Convertibles have a power fabric top with heated glass rear window. ABS is standard. So is traction control, except on the base coupe. This 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 Fastback was offered for sale at the 2007 Christies auction of 'Exceptional Motor Cars at the Monterey Jet Center.' It is white with blue stripes and black vinyl interior. Power is from a V8 engine that displaces 428 cubic-inches and is capable of producing 524 horsepower. The engine breathes through dual Holley 650 CFM four-barrel carburetors and has stopping power provided by four-wheel disc brakes. There is a four-speed manual gearbox with a solid rear axle and front independent suspension.

The late 1960s was an all-out horsepower war by most American marques. GM had their Camaro, Chrysler their Hemi-powered cars, and Ford with the potent GT500. The GT350R versions were true race-bred machines while the GT500 had many power features, big engines, and comfortable interiors.

The GT500 was first put into production in 1966 and carried a sticker price of $4,195. They were instantly popular, outselling the 289-powered engines nearly 2-to-1. These were the final Mustangs to be built by Shelby-American, as all future models were constructed by Ford, with some input from Shelby.

This example spent its early life in Texas where it had a lime green exterior and black vinyl interior. It had an automatic gearbox, power steering, power brakes, shoulder harness, AM radio, fold down rear seat, and deluxe wheels. The original sticker price for this machine was $4,000.

The car was brought to Hollywood in 1999 under new ownership, at which time it looked very different than it does now. It was covered in dust and in desperate need of repair. It took a few years for the restoration to be completed, but when it was done it was a brilliant recreation of its youth. The engine was given modifications that included uprated rods, pistons, camshafts, and aluminum heads. It was fitted with a free-flow exhaust and MSD electronic ignition system. The result was 524 horsepower with a maximum torque rating of 567 foot-pounds. To handle this massive among of power, the car was fitted with 17-inch Halibrand-type wheels, larger brakes, and low-profile semi-racing rubber.

At auction this car was estimated to sell for $120,000 - $160,000. Though it was one of the more exciting vehicles to cross the auction block, it failed to find an interested buyer willing to part with the necessary funds to satisfy the reserve. The car was left unsold.
This 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 Fastback came from the factory well equipped. It has 10-spoke Shelby alloy wheels, AM-FM radio, wood rim steering wheel, power steering, automatic gearbox, dual carburetors, 'Cobra LeMans' cast aluminum valve covers, shoulder harnesses and a folding rear seat. It wears an older restoration with a paint scheme finished in dark metallic blue with black vinyl interior.

It has Ford chassis number 7R02O2213733 and Shelby number 67410F2A02943. In 2007 it was brought to the Bonhams Auction, An Important Sale of Collectors' Motorcars and Automobilia, held at the Quail Lodge Resort & Golf Club in Carmel, California. It was offered without reserve and sold for a high bid of $130,000 plus premium and taxes.

BMW first launched the X6 crossover-coupe for the 2009 model year, calling it a "Sport Activity Coupe." Mechanically identical to the X5 crossover, the X6 trades cargo and passenger space for a rakish roofline and also provides surprisingly sharp handling given its large size (especially in high-performance X6 M form).BMW is the first automaker to bring such an SUV to market, although other automakers are said to be planning similar coupe-like utility vehicles.Compared with the X6 concept that preceded it, very little has changed in the transformation to production form. In fact, you'll have a hard time noticing any differences at all. The only obvious design tweak was made to the crossover's side windows. On the concept, the B- and C-pillars are not visible, but on the production car they clearly divide up the glass.Even the X6's complex front fender design made it to production. Each front quarter panel surrounds the entire headlamp, creating a very seamless appearance. The X6's aggressive front fascia is also carried over from the concept, with its large air intakes and stylish fog lamps.

Daring Design
As the photos reveal, the X6 has anything but a conservative look.The X6's roofline begins arching downward after the B-pillar and continues plunging right to the X6's rising waistline. As a result, second-row headroom and rear cargo volume are both compromised.
The new X6 is longer and lower than the new X5, seating only four. But what the sporty X6 loses in seating and storage, it gains in performance.
Compared to the X5, the X6 has almost an inch of additional wheelbase length, and two inches of added width. The overall height of the X6 is a whopping 3.3 inches lower than that of the X5.

Maserati MC12

The Maserati MC12 is a two-seater sports car produced by Italian car maker Maserati to allow a racing variant to compete in the FIA GT Championship. The car entered production in 2004 with 30 cars produced (five of which were not for sale). A further 25 were produced in 2005 making a total of 50 cars available for customers, each of which were pre-sold for €600 000.
Maserati designed and built the car on the chassis of the Enzo Ferrari but the final car has much larger size and a lower drag coefficient. The MC12 is longer, wider and taller and has a sharper nose and smoother curves than the Enzo Ferrari, which has faster acceleration, better braking performance (shorter braking distance) and a higher top speed. The top speed of the Maserati MC12 is 330 kilometres per hour (205 mph) whereas the top speed of the Enzo Ferrari is 350 kilometres per hour (217.5 mph).
The MC12 was developed to signal Maserati's return to racing after 37 years.[9] The road version was produced to homologate the race version. One requirement for participation in the FIA GT is the production of at least 25 road cars. Three GT1 race cars were entered into the FIA GT with great success. Maserati began racing the MC12 in the FIA GT toward the end of the 2004 season, winning the race held at the Zhuhai International Circuit. The racing MC12s were entered into the American Le Mans Series races in 2005 but exceeded the size restrictions and consequently paid weight penalties due to excess range.

Unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Auto Show, The Zonda F is one of the fastest supercars ever made. Built using Pagani's extensive experience in carbon fibre construction, the Zonda is leader with regard to fit and finish. With this car, Pagani Automobili is among a small group of independent supercar manufacturers that challenge more established competition such as Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini.
During the outset of the Zonda project, Juan Manuel Fangio consulted and influenced Horacio Pagani on every aspect of the Zonda. Horacio says Fangio had great 'technical sensibility' and was a major source of inspiration for his car. Thus, it should come to no surprise that Pagani's latest work pays tribute to the late Fangio, a world champion five times over.
Zonda F is a special edition car that will be built alongside the regular production model. It takes the modifications adapted to the C12-S Monza and refines them into a more appealing package. As a result the Zonda F is lighter, more powerful and faster than its predecessor.
Aerodynamics play large role in shaping Zonda's new car. More traditional devices include a one-piece fixed wing which now gets undisturbed air thanks to relocated mirrors. To help airflow underneath, a larger front splitter and rear diffuser with twin stabilizing wings create even more downforce. At the front of the Zonda F is a much larger air intake to increase cooling effectiveness of the more potent V12 engine.
To give the Zonda F more power, a new induction system is used which replaces the standard Mercedes-Benz unit. It features larger intake apertures and, when combined with a larger, hydroformed exhaust, the 7.3 liter Mercedes-Benz engine reaches 620 bhp. This is up from 550 achieved with the standard Mercedes intake. A clubsport model is available as an option which increases power to 650 bhp @ 6200 rpm.

The chassis receives several upgrades which lighten both the overall and unsprung weight of the Zonda. Newly designed 19 and 20 inch wheels make room for much larger brakes which can now be ordered in a ceramic compound for the first time. Combined with the titanium wheel nuts, and various trimmings of the carbon fiber tub, the Zonda F weighs 1230 kgs without liquids.
After all these changes it should come to no surprise that Pagani has made a much superior Zonda. With 650 bhp on tap, the clubsport model should easily rival cars including the Porsche Carrera GT and Ferrari Enzo.

Ferrari cars have always been one of the most coveted cars by many enthusiasts. When the company decided to develop the Enzo, there was a rave about what it will be like and how much it can offer to customers.

The Ferrari Enzo, a 650 horsepower super car named after its founder, was developed in 2002 using Formula One technology.

With the car already using carbon fiber for its body and an electro-hydraulic F1 transmission, more innovations were even made that were not present in the F1 such as aerodynamics and active traction control. The Nissan Skyline GTR R34 has elvoled and fine-tuned through 11 years of competitive racing and extensive testing, which has resulted in one of the best race-bred coupes on the market.
The R33 which it replaced was a great car but the R34 GTR is much more advanced in every area. Under the hood are twin ceramic intercooled turbochargers, which effectively eliminate turbo-lag. The RB26DETT in-line, 2568cc six-cylinder engine retains the 280PS at 6,800 rpm of the R33 it replaced. It also has better power delivery and more torque than it predecessor. Also the R34's body is stiffer and the aerodynamics of the car have been improved.

The R34's engine keeps the general layout of straight six-cylinder configuration with twin overhead camshafts and four-valves per cylinder and twin turbochargers. As before, the throttle chamber has six individual throttle valves (one per cylinder) isolating each engine cylinder from the rest and acting like six individual single-cylinder engines. The power is fed through a new six-speed close ratio Getrag gearbox.
Nissan's electronically controlled four-wheel drive system "ATTESA-E-TS PRO" is specifically designed for both road and racetrack use. Most other all-wheel drive systems are designed for off-road applications or rally cars. The system was designed for more high speed road use, it has a series of sensors and two centrally controlled wet multi-plate clutches to optimise torque split between the front and rear axles. It eliminates understeer and gives optimum traction and stability under acceleration, braking and cornering.
The Nissan Skyline R34 GTR has cut weight in many areas. From the light alloy wheels, which save over 7.7kg, the rear diffuser is now made from a lightweight carbon fibre. All the way to the use of light-weight audio speakers. In addition a new type of aluminium has been used for the front wings and bonnet which has saved about 1kg compared to the hoods of the previous models.

Impassioned of mechanics, Abdeslam Laraki, confession to have always dreamed to build cars. Former pupil of the school of design Espera de Franco Sbarro, this young man 31 year old also passed by Art Center de Vevey and the Layer College of Issy-les-Moulineaux. In 1997, it creates several structures in Casablanca, whose Laraki Automobiles and Laraki Conceptor, a company of engineering which works in particular on orders of yachts of great luxury (the emir de Bahreïn is his customer).
Fulgura (or Fulgura Laraki) (Arabic: فولڭورا‎) is the name of the first Moroccan supercar. It was originally designed and produced in Casablanca, Morocco. It was entirely conceived and manufactured by Laraki group.
The Laraki Fulgura 2008 was the company's first attempt at a sports car. Originally unveiled as a concept at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show, the production version debuted a year later at the same show. A slightly redesigned version of the bodywork was unveiled in 2005.
The car is known by its luxurious design. Based on the frame and mechanicals of a Lamborghini Diablo, the Fulgura receives a quad-turbo Mercedes-Benz 6.0L V12 producing 920 hp (686 kW), attached to a 6-speed manual transmission. A new aerodynamic carbon fibre body is also added. This brings the Fulgura to an estimated price of $555,750.
Performance for the Fulgura is an estimated top speed of 247 mp/h(398 km/h) and acceleration of 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds.

Within the BMW M GmbH model range, the BMW M3 has always been that very special model living up in full to its motorsport heritage. Indeed, this already applied to the very first BMW M3 launched in 1986 and continued throughout the two subsequent model generations. And now this supremacy comes out once again most clearly in the 2007 version of the BMW M3.

Although the latest generation of the BMW M3 was based in its development on the new BMW M3 Coupé, the new high-performance model differs from the "regular" coupé in terms of both looks and technical features. Apart from the car's unique design as well as its drivetrain and suspension technology conceived from the start for supreme performance, lightweight technology came right at the top in the brief given to the engineers at BMW M. And just how consistently this development target has been translated into reality in terms of intelligent lightweight engineering is borne out by the car's power-to-weight ratio of only 3.8 kg (8.4 lb) per horsepower.

One of the reasons for this low weight is that the new BMW M3 is the first production car in its segment to boast a roof made of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFP). And in all, the new BMW M3, with the exception of just a few components, is indeed completely new in its engineering and design concept, clearly reflecting the successful tradition of BMW M GmbH.

Apart from the load-bearing structure of the car, only the two doors, the bootlid, the windows, the headlights and rear lights have been carried over from the 3 Series Coupé. All other body components, by contrast, were specially developed for the new BMW M3.

The unique character of the new BMW M3 is obvious at first sight: Over and above the engine compartment lid with its striking powerdome and the two air intake openings, the function-oriented design of the front and rear air dams, the so-called gills in the front side panels, the side-sills also in distinctive design, the roof made of clearly visible carbon fibre, as well as the exterior mirrors and light-alloy wheels in BMW M design clearly characterise the new model from the ground up. The exterior, in turn, through its athletic and aesthetic appearance, powerfully underlines the sporting qualities of the car.

The exterior paintwork likewise adds an individual touch, offering the connoisseur not only numerous additional colours, but also four special paintwork options exclusive to BMW M.
