Hi again! Okay, it's not very usual for me to post 2 different topics in 2 days in a row, but I can't help it. I found this funny yet nice video from my friend in facebook. Nathan Wyburn, a fine arts student who try to amaze the judge with toasted breads and yummy jam. Yet, he made it ! Even Michael, one of the judge, suddenly run and crawl on the stage to grab all the breads and bring them home! Isn't Nathan a talented artist? :D the portrait is just sooooo right. Oh, wait, here goes the funny moment! Because Michael really loved his face being portrait in such artistic and creative way, he managed to bring all the toasts. He said, "I want it. I want the toast" over and over. Couldn't handle his desire, he suddenly ran and crawled to the stage!

Oh, Michael, what are you doing?

Michael said, "I want them all and bring them home!"

There was an accident also on the stage. Instead of take the bread from the top to the bottom, he pulled the bottom one and the toast scattered away! "How can I rebuild it again?? I just want them!" shout Michael on the stage. So, he just make a pile of the bread and bring it home. LOL. Of course this bring a big loud laugh over the audiences. Great job Michael ;)

How about Nathan? He 100% passed the audition and have to get ready for the next talent show. I can't wait to see his next art :D

Diet Tips According to Your Zodiac - Part 2

Hi again :) As I promise, I post the second part of Diet Tips According to Your Zodiac today. The last zodiac in my previous post is Cancer, so now we start from Leo to Capricorn! Check these out :D

Leo (July 21st – August 19th)
Has a high ability to adapt to new methods of diet. But beware, sometimes Leo has eager to jump from one diet program to another. Before jump to another program, better read again about the program you're currently using. How long your current program takes to take effect? 3 months? 4 months? Then wait until 4 months. If you're not getting slimmer AND healthier, then feel free to take another program.

Virgo (August 20th – September 20th)
It is a very practical person, so the method chosen diets also tend to be an easily applied in daily routine. The thing that should be anticipated is that they tend to provide a target that is too high so when it's not achieved, they will be very desperate and suddenly stop! I recommend that you ask nutrition expert or personal trainer to keep you fixed on the right diet program. (yeah, my Mom did that often too as a virgo)

Libra (September 21st – October 19th)
Tends to have no passion for physical activity so their metabolism is slow. But Libra is very easy to be motivated by competition. Therefore, it's really great to invite family or friends in healthy diet competition!

Scorpio (October 20th – November 20th)
Scorpio can be very diligently follow the diet programs and meet the sports/gym schedule that have been made. But because of people in this zodiac also very easy to feel dissatisfied, they need a diet that is more relaxed and enjoyable sport.

Sagittarius (November 21st – December 19th)
Very easy to be motivated but also very impatient. The Sagittarius will reach their target if they makes sustainability small targets. Complete it with a sport that you like, example swimming, hiking, biking, walking, jogging, belly dance, etc, so it will be easier to reach the targets

Capricorn (December 20th – January 20th)
People who are ruled by this zodiac able to understand what they need. It's not unusual for them to choose their own diet method than asked to do a certain diet with certain method. It's okay and it's good, but sometimes it's not wrong to ask other people about your diet. Nutritionist sounds good too, isn't it? :D

Thanks to "Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary" Prayer

This post is my way to say thank you to God and the Virgin Mary because my prayer is answered no more than 3-4 hours and my boyfriend's problem 90% solved. "Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary" prayer (Indonesia : Novena Tiga Salam Maria) is one of Catholic prayer which is believed to be able to grant any requests (in accordance with God's will). My mom, who is Catholic often tell me how this prayer has helped her a lot through her life. Many prayers answered and many wishes granted.

Hours ago, when I got a call from my boyfriend, listening him telling me about his problem, I was so panic! Suddenly I remember about "Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary" prayer card that I bought few months ago (thanks to my mom, you've told me a great prayer). I tore off the cover as quickly as I can, calming down myself, and start praying according to that card's direction. I didn't remember how many minutes it took to do the prayer, but I don't care! I keep praying and praying..

Thanks to God.. 3-4 hours later, my boyfriend buddy called me and said, "Mel, everything's okay now.. yeaaa.. at least the biggest problem is finished." Wohoooo! My heart jumped happily! I thought it will take a week, or months, but God and Virgin Mary is full of Grace :) They heard my prayer and give a miracle more than I requested. I've already afraid if I can't meet my boyfriend for a long time. I'm panic about his family too. Hmm God is Good, right? He knows how to make an awesome ending that we can't even imagine of. Thank you thank you thank you...

Uhmm.. honestly, I'm not a Catholic. I'm a Christian Protestant, but I still decided to do this prayer because I believe, God doesn't care about which religion does or don't do a kind of prayer. I believe, as long as we shout to the Lord from the bottom of our heart, He hears our heart.

Once again.. Thank you to God from granted my prayer request.. and thank you to the Virgin Mary who helped Saints created this beautiful prayer.. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart..

UPDATE : after I posted this one, I just realized that today is May 1st, the first day of Rosary month and my first time do this prayer....

Diet Tips According to Your Zodiac - Part 1

Hello again! It's been a looongggg time since my last post, right? Sorry, I've been busy with my campus stuffs and crafts (yes, I have online handmade craft shop now). Since today is holiday (Good Friday-Easter day), and usually we eat a lot during holiday, I think I'll share diet tips according to your ZODIAC. Zodiac? yes! I found this article on the internet few days ago and I think it's quite nice :) Here we go !

Aquarius (January 21st - February 19th)
People with this zodiac usually are very easy to be tempted with instant diet program. Result is, "Yoyo-A-Gogo". I mean, Aquarius will lose weight as quick as they gain weight after the program stops. Then they will try another instant program, getting slim, they stop the program, and boom! gain weight again. So, instead of looking (and do) instant diet program in short term, it's much better to watch your meal, eat healthy food and drink in proper amount for long term

Pisces (February 20th - March 20th)
Most Picses has a tendency to be easily influenced by people. So, if a Pisces want to do a diet, better to tell and discus it with friends or family and ask them to support and help maintain the diet

Aries (March 21st - April 19th)
Impatient is a good word for Aries, so about how they do the diet, impatient. So don't do strict diet. Strict diet will not give a great result both nor our body or our health. Like Aquarius, just keep your meal healthy, good taste, and has good balance. Diet doesn't have to be bad-taste food, right?

Taurus (April 20th - May 20th)
People who are ruled by this zodiac usually love to do sport and physical exercises, but they have slow metabolism. But the advantage is they are very diligent and patient carrying out various series of diet program.

Gemini (May 21st - June 19th)
The opposite of Taurus, the people under the Gemini star usually impatient but have a huge desire to make changes in their life. That's why, Taurus and Gemini can be a perfect match on a diet, because they can complement each other.

Most people in this zodiac are food lover (YES! First keep in mind, Boyfriend is an Entertainment Package, while Husband is an Operating System. Please enter the command: 'http: I Thought You Loved Me.html' and try to download Tears. Don't forget to install the Guilt update. If that application works as designed, Husband should then automatically run the applications Jewellery and Flowers, but remember - over use of the above application can cause Husband to default to Grumpy Silence, Garden Shed or Beer. Beer is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.
Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources). Also, do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband..
In summary, Husband is a great system, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. It also tends to work better running one task at a time. So, how is it? Doesn't it sound familiar? Sometimes, we, girls (yeah, I'm a girl) fall in love with this Entertaining Packages so bad because they really able to entertain us. Few days or weeks or months later we decided to make the Packages our Long-Lasting and Eternal Private Property but we forget that those Packages are humans, not stuffs. They both built by both Bad and Good materials which make them unique in each. We often forget about it, don't we? We want them exactly same like what we want. We want them to "operate" perfectly according to our standard(s). When they fail to satisfy us, we want to reset them over and over again until they match our "perfect-lists".

Maybe.. we better upgrade and fix our Operation System first so we can match with them. It will be easier to change ourselves than others because we know which methods suit us and which not. Why? Because everyone built in their own unique system, our method may not works 100% perfectly on them. If, we can upgrade ourselves and match their system, it will be easier to communicate and understand each other, and they will appreciate and love us more,don't you think?

Today, this morning I checked my facebook and one of my lecturer post this awesome video. This is a video of Bell Nuntrita Khampriranon (not Bell Nandhita:updated), a girl with amazing voice singing in an audition of Thailand's Got Talent. It may sounds strange the first time you hear it but if you keep focusing on her voice tune, you'll know why I'm still amazed until now...

I know, some of you may dislike this video because of his status. I also feel sorry about it but I can't deny that God has given him amazing voice. Do you realize how good he control his falsetto?? Not many people able to control falsetto that good, and fewer more able to sing two types of voice in good and tender voice.

Aren't they cute?? I really love the little red heart plush. It's sooo cute :) I made this as a key chain with 3.2" inches tall and 3.2" inches wide. I plan to sell them $9.50 USD per set (2 pandas). I also made Sweet Couple Koala. I'm gonna post about it later. Some people said the Sweet Couple Koala is a perfect wedding souvenir because the male looks like giving little pink heart to the female one, and both of them are happily smiling. Hi,long time no see you. Few days ago, I bought many doll patterns. One of them is towel animal sheep. Because I have almost nothing to do, I start to cut the pattern and sewing using towel and felt. Why People Choose to Stay in Merapi and Not Flee

Until today, Mount Merapi still erupting, burst lava, stone, rock, and ashes. Few days ago, when I had a conversation with friend of mine, I said, "Look, later they (victims) will go back to Merapi, open a new field, farm, buy new livestocks, and start live there again like nothing happened." My friend, who is a foreigner, seems surprised and said, "What?? Are they dumb or what??"

That conversation was simple, only 2 sentences, but enough to gave me a plenty food of thought. Foreigner, usually see Indonesian people as a fatalistic, a trait believed to be behind their “silly decisions.” The myth of Indonesians as people driven by destiny has been confirmed for many by the notion that their behavior is driven by superstition and mysticism. The death of Mbah Maridjan, spiritual guardian of Merapi supports the assumption of that "silly".

Beside death, volcanic eruption also has another dangerous effects such as, ash particles are minute and can easily get into the lungs, volcanic ash can cause serious and lasting pulmonary conditions. Inhaled, they can make even the healthiest people fall ill. And they make those who suffer from asthma prone to experiencing severe shortness of breath and coughing fits. So Why People Choose to Stay in Merapi and not Flee?

There are factors, that if we look deeper, can explain everything. First, believe it or not, when you live in a country for years where natural disasters can happen anytime and where the resulting death tolls are often high, the concept of fatalism in your mind will be different. Example, traffic issue in New York. You who's living or ever lived in New York know how bad the traffic is. You won't be surprised about bad traffic anymore because you've known worse. A Portuguese psychology student of Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta who visited an Indonesian evacuee camp to help the people deal with the psychological impact of the catastrophe, expressed shock at how the victims all seemed to be “fine.” They had been displaced by a major disaster and many had lost everything, but they weren’t crying as he had thought they would.

They just lost everything, belongings, homes, families, but I’m not sure they need me here,” he said.(Jakarta Globe)

Another factor, which is for me is the most important, most of Indonesian people believe in the afterlife. There are more believers than Europeans and Americans. We (I use "we" because I'm an Indonesian) believe that death is just a door to another phase of (eternal) life. We believe that there's nothing compared to God and He is so powerful that when He says, "Up", we'll be up and when He says, "Down", we'll be down. Maybe not all the victims think like that. It's just what most of Indonesians believe between human and God.

The last factor why they keep stay and go back to Merapi, and for me is the most logical, is vulcanic area is the most fertile land. especially after an eruption. Hot lava burn the soil, produce many oxygen, carbon, and many other substance that will make any plant that grow on it has top quality. Economically, it has more benefits and money than taking a job in a city. Water quality in vulcanic area also greater and purer than other place. Fresh, cool, and healthy. And one more, Mount Merapi doesn't erupt once a month. That's also an important thing that we have to start thinking of. Mount Merapi erupts once every 2-3 decade or more. Between that time, people can start a new life, run a family, have kids, build a new business, and more.

In my opinion, these people (victims) are not completely "fatalistic, a trait believed to be behind their silly decisions". They have their own reason that maybe not really fit with us but completely fit for them. The matter is just the way we look and analyze it, whether we are able to look deeper and stand on their position or not. Interesting, isn't it?

Pride Over Mount Merapi Eruption and Loss

Three days ago, my friend surprised me with a link about Mount Merapi that has been erupting since 5 days ago. It's about Pride, Victims, and Loss.

Lava and hot smoke from Mt. Merapi has flew 20 kms far. It washes away many villages and killed many people and livestocks. Many people go there to help and distribute donations, do everything what they can. Citizens open their door to stranger, cook food, give place to sleep, including church. Ganjuran Church in Bantul also open its door as many victims came asked for shelter and food, even though most of the victims are not christian.

Unfortunately, later some people with white long blouse and turban came, entered the church without permission and drove away victims out of the church just because it's a church, not a mosque ! The victims who were already so tired physically and mentally refused to go. They prefer stayed there, but this "unbelieveable-pride" people keep tried drove victims away. They almost had a fighting until Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X (Governor of Yogyakarta) came. Funny thing is, Sri Sultan asked victims to move away. "Better we move then have a fight in this situation", said Sri Sultan.

Actually, who are these "unbelieveable-pride" people?
These people call themselves FJI = Front Jihad Indonesia (Indonesia Jihadd Committe). They think that let moslems entering church is a sin although they are victims and need shelter, food, etc to live.

For me, what this FJI did is so unbelieveable ridiculous and strange. Why?? Because the victims even not entered the church building ! Church asked the victims first whether they want to go in or not. Victims chose to stay outside the building, at church terrace and front yard. So why this FJI had to drove away them like that? Last one that made me felt sorry is, this FJI didn't even try to provide them shelter or food! They just tried to drove victims away. Isn't that sad?

I'm not saying that moslem is bad. Most of my friends are moslem also so I know that moslem is not like that. Yeah, like I've ever said in my previous posts, there's nothing wrong with the religion, but the people are.

How about us? Do we still keep our pride over Mt. Merapi eruption and loss and ignore that poke from God?

Mentawai Tsunami and Merapi Eruption in 2 days in Indonesia

From sea to mountain. After a great earthquake (7.2 SR) and tsunami (4-6 meters high) washed Mentawai, West Sumatra, Indonesia in Monday, October 25th 2010 at 9.40 pm, yesterday Great Merapi Volcano in Central Java, Indonesia erupted.

16 people died in Merapi Eruption while thousand people from 3 district of Central Java, Klaten, Boyolali, and Magelang has been evacuated. One of the victims is Azza, 6 month old baby. In Mentawai, until this post is written, 122 people died and 502 people lost. They might be has been swept away by tsunami which was occured 2 hours after earthquake

Additional information :
- There were 47 aftershocks happened in Mentawai, one of them rocked 5.4 Scale Richer, before Tsunami happened

Have you tried to put "Read More" and open full post page ? Want to try another one?
This "collapse" trick will open your full post in the same page (with a nice effect), without go to the single post page. This tricks will put "Read more" in every post you made automatically (including older posts). You can't choose how long is your post introduction. Nice but also has disadvantages. It's up to you....

First, like what we did before, Back-up your template just for in case..
DASHBOARD ► LAYOUT ► EDIT HTML ► click on the EXPAND WIDGET TEMPLATES in the upper right corner.

Using CTRL (Option) + F, find the following line of code:

Place this following code before that part, become like this:

Then, find this part of code (it may look a bit different in your template):

Ok, next... delete those code and REPLACE it with these code :

Note :

This trick is very popular among bloggers to make short post introduction on homepage (teaser). By creating teaser-post, bloggers can save space to show their older posts's teaser. So how to apply this trick?

First, you have to back up your template, in case there is error.. Then follow these steps

DASHBOARD --> LAYOUT --> EDIT HTML, click on the EXPAND WIDGET TEMPLATES box in the upper right corner. Use CTRL + F and find the following code:

Hi, everyone ! How are you? Last week I promised that I'll write the story behind The Princess and The Frog sketch I made. So, here I am, lay down on my bed, facing my laptop and start typing...

Princess : Hi, Mr. Frog !
Mr. Frog : Hi ! Err.. Why do you call me "Mr. Frog"?
Princess : You have big eyes, you're a frog :D
Mr. Frog : Yours are bigger than mine !
Princess : (laugh)
Mr. Frog : Ummm.. So what are you? A Princess??
Princess : Yaaay ! I'm a Princess ! Huh, wait, I don't want to kiss you.. (suddenly The Princess remembers about The Princess and The Frog's story)
Mr. Frog : (laugh out loud) Yeah yeah I know. You don't want to make me happy that much, rite?
Princess : (grin) Yap ! I don't want to make you happy that much !

Mr. Frog : (laugh) Oh, come on, smile. Look, Mr. Rabbit is hiding in that hole because you suddenly hide your smile

Mr. Frog : I love your smile, my Princess. It's such a bright light for this Dark Woods.

Mr. Frog : You know what, my Princess, someday I'll become a human then I'll be a real Human Prince..!
Princess : Are you that desperately want to be a human? I come here everyday to play with you. Is that not enough for you?
Mr. Frog : Hmphhhhh..... There's someone I want to be with desperately. I can't be with her with this body...

It's been long time I didn't post about myself. How am I? I'm fine :) struggling with my final project, designing "SPA Resort for Women in Bali" (I'm an architecture student). Last week, I got really bored and tired, so I made a pencil sketch, The Princess and The Frog - my version
