This cute attic redesign was a 2013 project undertaken by architecture firm&amp;nbsp;L. McComber, based in Montréal, Canada. The project in question, also located in Plateau Mont-Royal, Montréal, existed under what was a 1.5 metre high structure of two sloping roofs. This structure was made with thick layers of tar and gravel, and was part of an old duplex built in 1880.

A couple of weeks ago I came back from 3 weeks in Europe, where we had spent most of that time in Paris. It was crazy to be back yet again in the city where I lived for almost six years. A new, colourful and super dooper contemporary PNY burger joint has opened in Paris in the 3rd arrondissement Les Marias, designed by&amp;nbsp;CUT Architectures.&amp;nbsp;I&#39;m guessing this is only due to the success of the existing two restaurants,&amp;nbsp;PNY Oberkampf&amp;nbsp;and PNY FBG St-Denis, both also in Paris, and both also designed by&amp;nbsp;CUT Architectures.

Earlier this week, on the 22nd of April, it happened to be the birthday of one of the masters of intricate word-play, Vladimir Nabakov. Nabakov, a Russian-American novelist who passed away in 1977, wrote both in Russian and English, with his most famous work in English being one of the most controversial examples of 20th century literature, Lolita.&amp;nbsp;

Located in Chongqing, China, the SND Fashion Store is designed by 3GATTI Architects, with Francesco Gatti as lead architect. At first glance, this space appears to be a museum exhibition, a conceptual space designed with the user in mind, the soul that will weave in and out of the light and shadow created by the thousands of individual fins that hang down from the ceiling.

I was quite surprised to read that Taschen&#39;s first store in Italy has just opened in Milan. I would have assumed that they would already have a foot-print there... but there you go.
