if you dont eat enough fruits or vegetables then these smoothies can be an option to increase your fruit/veggie intake! These are my favourite smoothies, I usually drink one in the morning (the one the top with granola and sunflower seeds)and one for snack (green smoothie). Here is a list of fruits and vegetables that i usually use but when it comes to smoothie, it really doesnt matter if you dont have all the ingredients or if you use your favourite foods.

-Green smoothie= spinach, banana, pinneapple, lemonade.

-Blueberry smoothie= blueberry, banana, almond milk (vanilla), sunflower seeds, granola.

The peace that surpasses understanding

Through out my walk with God, I tried to evaluate my life and compare my life before and after ( accepting Christ as my saviour). One of the things that I noticed is that God has put peace in my heart that surpasses understanding.
I remember after my baptism in 2006, honestly speaking I was not at peace because all I could see was the sins within my heart. In the eyes of men I was a girl with a good reputation (the kind that has been raised in a christian family, never been a trouble maker) but deep down I knew that God sees my heart.

After sinning Adam and Eve hid from God and they felt naked, I believe when you finally understand the power of sin and righteousness of God, there's fear within your heart to be in His presence.
I do not care how much you choose not to sin, in and of yourself, you cannot resist the power of sin that dwells in you.
Thus a true understanding of original sin tells us that sin is more than a choice, it is a slavery in which we need a Deliverer. Thank God, we have One, Jesus Christ. We shall know the truth and the truth will make us free. Jesus said in John 15:5: “Without Me, you can do nothing, but with Me, abiding in Me, you will bear much fruit and My Father will be pleased.”
The understanding of the power of sin and the power of the blood of Jesus Christ has brought peace in my heart that surpasses all understanding. Now I serve God out of love and not out of fear.
I am going to share with you some of the verses bout peace that have helped me through out this journey a.

psalms 34:14 >>Depart from evil and do good and seek peace and pursue it. You need to pursue peace in your daily life because all the trials and challenges that you encounter will test the peace of your heart.

2 timothy 2:22>>Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. I find this one hard especially as a young christian woman living in the society of today, it is challenging to go in the opposite direction and against your desires. I realized that being involved in the church and community have helped me to focus on my christian walk. It is important to be in an environment that helps you in your walk with God because you get encouragement and support from your friends that have the same goal.

Hebrews 12:14>> make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. It is challenging to live in peace with those who have betrayed or hurt us but once you know that you only have one enemy and that is satan; forgiving is easier and you look beyond the mistakes of that person and treat them like your friends.

1 Thessalonians 5:23>>Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Here the bible clearly shows that only God can give you peace and sanctify you but that can happen if you walk with Him daily.

It has been an amazing journey to walk with my Heavenly Father and my prayer is that we may know Him and seek His presence in our lives. May God keep you in perfect peace. Thank you for reading my testimony.

How To Never Get Led On Again

Once upon a time, I got led on. Yep, you heard me. The relationship counselor—a supposed "expert" in the field—got taken.

If I’m completely honest, getting led on was not a one-time deal when it came to my interactions with the opposite sex. At one point in my life, a predictable relationship pattern started to emerge between me and men.

This happens to a lot of people, and it usually goes something like this:

Step 1: The guy/girl starts interacting with you.

Step 2: You get very excited about the prospect of this potential interest, and show some interest back.

Step 3: The two of you start hanging out, talking more often and interacting regularly.

Step 4: You start reading into this interaction and dreaming of your future. You continue to give, love and serve.

Step 5: The two of you continue to interact.

Step 6: You start feeling confused. Do they like you, or are you just friends? Was that a romantic wink, or was there something in their eye? Are these dates, or are you just their pal?

Step 7: You continue to interact.

Step 8: You feel more confused, but remain silent. But you keep on giving…

Step 9: You continue to interact.

Step 10: And the Grande finale? They tell you they have a girlfriend/boyfriend, or that they're interested in someone else, or allude to you being a great sister/brother in Christ, or introduce you to their crush, or drop off the face of the earth. The end.

With this kind of relationship history, you could probably feel me when I say I used to have a little bitterness in my heart toward men. I concluded that they were all the same—selfish human beings, looking to just have a good time at the cost of my broken heart. I blamed them, and felt a little hopeless that the well-being of my heart pretty much depended on this kind of discouraging interaction.

We need to learn how to guard our hearts against the pain of being strung along.

Of course, both women and men occasionally get led on. And perhaps the one doing the “leading” is at least partially to blame—the woman who doesn’t want to commit, the insecure man who likes your attention but doesn’t really like you. We should all be conscious not to be the type of person who leads another on.

But at the same time, we need to learn how to guard our hearts against the pain of being strung along. Looking back, I call my perspective of blaming others “victim mentality”—and I’ll be the first to confess, I owned that mentality for a time in my life. I allowed my life to be controlled and determined by the choices and decisions of others, rather than respecting and loving myself enough to control it myself.

When it came to relationships with the opposite sex, I was so determined to let them “lead” that I allowed myself to hang on to unhealthy relationships and interactions that drug on until the other person got tired of me or got something they wanted or moved on to the next thing.

I kept giving and giving and giving, even when there was little to nothing being given back to me. I was so desperate for love and for a relationship that I failed to recognize, and even gave up, my control in the matter.

Looking back, I had no right to blame anyone but myself in those kinds of dysfunctional and desperate interactions.

You see, when it comes to being “led on” by someone of the opposite sex, here’s what it comes down to: You can only be led on if you continue following. The term alone alludes to a picture of someone being a leader, while the other is the follower.

Sometimes, we choose to be the follower, instead of taking charge of our lives. The truth is there were numerous things we can have done to take control. We can confront the other person about this seemingly romantic relationship and the direction it’s headed, or stop giving and giving until we start getting something back, or respect ourselves enough to set some boundaries instead of just letting whatever happens happen.

But, often times we don’t do any of those things. We just kept following, afraid to scare off the other person or “mess things up.”

For Christian women, we sometimes get so bogged down by the concept of men being “leaders” that we fail to recognize that God only calls us into this kind of “leading” relationship within the walls of a loving, respect-filled and mutually submissive marriage.

We are not called to simply “follow” a man for the mere fact he’s a man. However you choose to define the word “leader”—No man should be given the role of “leader” in your life until the day you enter a lifelong covenant relationship with him as you unite your hearts as one in Christ.

As adults, we are given the power and the wisdom to make good choices in our lives.

I think we have misinterpreted this “leader” mentality by applying it to relationships and people who should have absolutely no say in our lives—and in the end we end up broken, hurt, confused, bitter and jaded because we chose to follow someone we were never meant to let lead.

And you know what else? This “victim mentality” can be applied to any area of our lives in which we are allowing someone other than ourselves and our God to have control and then whining and complaining about it.

As adults, we are given the power and the wisdom to make good choices in our lives. We are asked to “choose, this day, whom [we] will serve.” And at the end of that beautiful passage of scripture there is one conclusion: “We will serve the Lord.”

It’s time to say no to your preconceived notions of what it means for someone in your relationships to “take the lead,” and take a look at your relationship history and what it might be saying about you.

If you, like me, have found yourself confused, bitter and broken, maybe it’s time to take the reins back from people and relationships that were never meant to have this kind of role in your life, and give the control back to the One who has always deserved it. Trust Him with your life, and before all else, allow Him to take the lead.

Don’t ever allow yourself to get “led on” by anyone less than Him.

how to handle temptation?

Sometimes when i sit in the church and I am listening to the sermon, I feel like the pastor is preaching to me. We may be all different, we may be in different situation or we may face different struggles and tribulations but one thing is true; if you read in proverb 4:24 "keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life". I believe that it's through our temptations and our struggles that we build our character.

Three times the devil tempted Christ with a terrible temptation. “The people stood watching and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the chosen one.”

(1) The people were used by Satan to tempt Jesus to take matters into His own hands.

“The soldiers also came up and mocked him (not only the people, the bystanders, but also the soldiers); they offered him vinegar and said, If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.” The second time He was tempted.

“One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him, Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself.” Three times the devil, using human agents, tempted Jesus to come down and save Himself. Jesus could do it but if He did it He had lost faith in His Father. even though He could not see through the grave, through the portals of the tomb, even though hope did not present Him a resurrection, even though He felt that God had forsaken Him forever, He felt the wages of sin, by faith He held on to His Father. After agonizing for three hours, from midday to three o'clock, Jesus said, “Father, Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit.”

This is the condition that we must reach in order for us to endure the time of trouble. How can such a people be produced? There are three facts that we need to remember.

(1) The righteousness that qualifies us for heaven, now, in the time of trouble, in the judgment, is always in Christ, never in us. The devil does the same thing as he did to Christ. He will tell you to take matters into your own hands. He tells you that you can't depend on God, that God has forsaken you, abandoned you.

He tells you to stop depending on God but at that time you must remind yourself that the faith that qualifies you for heaven is not in your righteousness but in the righteousness of Christ where no thief can enter.

(2) This righteousness which is in Christ can never be destroyed. It is guaranteed. In 1 Peter 3:3-6 notice what the apostle says, “Praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade kept in heaven for you (your salvation is indestructible) who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.” That salvation will become a reality at the Second Coming of Christ but before the Second Coming of Christ we will be plunged into a time of trouble that has never been experienced in the history of the world.

(3) The faith that makes that righteousness yours is not in heaven. It is in you and that can be destroyed. The devil will try to destroy your faith. There are three ways he will try to pull you out of Christ. (i) He will do it by dangling the trinkets of this world, materialism in front of your eyes so that the things of this world will pull you out of Christ. (ii)He will try to destroy your faith by persecution which can be mental, physical or economical. He will try every method to destroy your faith. (iii) The third method is by perverting the gospel, telling you that you are not saved only by what Christ did but that you are also saved by what you do. You know that what you have done is imperfect and incomplete and once he gets you to look at yourself, which he has done with many, he has you because in the time of trouble you will never be able to endure if you are depending partially on yourself for salvation. Paul says in Galatians 5:4 that the moment you try to justify yourself by adding law keeping you are fallen from grace and Christ has become of no value to you.

A clue as to how a people whose faith is unshakable is produced is found in Ephesians 3:13 where Paul is dealing with a people whose faith was dwindling because of persecution. “I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.” Paul was in prison; the members were becoming discouraged because God was not protecting Paul and they were saying, “What about us?” So Paul prays in verse 14 to 19. His prayer is that God's people will be strengthened with might in the Spirit so that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith. “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in (God's) love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

Are you grounded in God's love? Do you believe that God will never forsake you? Do you believe, even though you feel forsaken, that He has not abandoned you? That is what will take us through the time of trouble.

As we see the signs in the world around it can't be very long until the time of trouble will come upon us. Romans 8:35-39 is a text that we can memorize to take us through the time of trouble. It begins with a question. Paul is not discussing our love for Christ but Christ's love for us. Then he gives a string of events that often destroy our faith but a person who is rooted and grounded in the love of God will say with Paul: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us, For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Do you know the love of God? Remember that while we were still enemies, Jesus died for us and God demonstrated His love by that death. (Romans 5:8). Verse 10: Even though we were enemies of God we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son. That is how much God loves you. He loves us unconditionally. He saved us unconditionally while we were helpless, ungodly, sinners and even His enemies.

In the time of trouble the devil will come to you and say, “The reason God has abandoned you is because He no longer loves you because you have failed Him and you are not good enough to go to heaven.” You will actually feel that you are not good enough to go to heaven. You will actually feel God-abandonment but it is my prayer that you can say with Paul, “I know in whom I have believed and that there is a crown of righteousness for me and not only for me but all those who long for His appearing.”

When the small moment is over and the earthquake takes place and you see the Son of Man come from the clouds of heaven; when you realize that Satan is a defeated foe you will give Him praise and honor and glory. “For a small moment I will forsake you but with great love I will gather you.” We will never be separated from Him again.

Tips of life

I have always wanted to share the lessons that I learn through out my life, not because I think they are important but because I like to share thoughts, dreams, stories and ideas. The following tips are things that have changed my character, my perception of things and the way i react.

1) someone once said that it's easy to avoid temptation than to resist it: I have found myself in situations where I develop a bad habit unconsciously and it becomes a burden (a challenging battle) that in the end it costs me time and energy to fight it. Tips: knowing your weakness and your strength will help you to resist little things that could possibly lead to bad habits. (For instance: relationships, money, food).

2) Let every challenging situation or environment be an opportunity for growth: no one likes to be a loser, we all want to win (to fulfill the lust of the flesh =ego), let moments of failure be an opportunity of humility and strength. It is important to find a place in your heart where you can be peaceful and conscious of the emotions and feeling of that heating moments. For when your heart and your mind lack peace, your whole being is affected, and you will do things that are harmful to you or to your loved ones. Don't let anyone or anything take away your peace.

3) Build a giving heart, whether it's physically, emotionally, or financially. We are naturally selfish being but we have to fight against that selfish heart. To be honest with you, it is very challenging sometimes but I found that the rewarding is worth more than anything. You will notice that you don't get attached to anything.

4) Be confident (still working on this one); we live in a very competitive society and we have developed rules or laws that are unrealistic sometimes for instance our physical appearance, our careers and our education. One of my favourite verse in the bible is found in Galatians 6:4 "but let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, AND NOT IN ANOTHER". I sometimes find myself comparing myself to others which increases my insecurity. I meditate on this verse so that I remind myself that i should compare myself with no one because we are all different and we are all gifted differently. I am trying to focus on my strength and my gift so that i can be the best that i can be.

5) DO NOT BE IN LOVE WITH MONEY: I can write a book about this but I will just explain that you can love money (i believe we all do) but don't be in love with it to a point where everything you see is an opportunity to get more money.

6) Allow people to change and accept them the way they are.

There's nothing more powerful than the vulnerable mind that is at peace. Sometimes we are afraid of being vulnerable but we tend to forget that we live in a vulnerable society. We encounter challenging situations on a daily basis. The ability of our bodies to adapt quickly is an amazing gift that we should embrace and be grateful for everyday. Matter of fact, our character are built based on the environment that we are exposed to. The comfort zone destroys every strength that was meant to anchor our physical, spiritual and emotional bodies. I always compare the formation of muscles with the strength of the heart. for instance running on a treadmill for 30min everyday will help you to build up muscles quickly. at the beginning it's hard because you are out of your comfort zone, as you fight against procrastination you begin to enjoy the journey. When it comes to the heart, you may break down because of certain situation (someone hurts you, or u lose someone close to you) at the beginning it feels like it's the end of the world, as you seek peace you start to enjoy life through those painful moments. When you work out, you burn calories (in other words fat), you feel more energized and hyped. During painful moments, it's by releasing the emotions and stress out of our mind that we feel free and strong.

My new haircut

This is my new haircut with a makeover made by my make up artist miss G. Yes i am posing like one of those models in the magazine! (I love it)
So i get questions like why did you cut your hair? How did you decide to be bald?
Sometimes it is hard to tell the truth because people dont understand.
To be honest I always wanted to cut my hair so it was not because i had bad hair, it was not because i was depressed and it was not because i wanted to get attention.
I LOVE MY HAIRCUT; i mean it feels good to take a shower and you dont have to worry about your hair. I can swim whenever i want, i dont have spend hours sitting down to get my hair braided i mean I AM FREE.
Before cutting my hair i did not ask my friends for advice but instead i would tell them that i want to cut my hair (i would get the same reaction , why?).
First of all I am the type of person that once i make up my mind its hard to convince me or to change my mind (i can be stubborn sometimes)
Second of all i dont really care about what people think of me (you either like me or you dont...i cant force you).
When i got my hair done alot of my friends said that it suits me and some were inspired.
Alot of girls are attached to their hair; they take care of it and they spend alot of money on it (i mean it means a lot for them).
I am not saying go and cut your hair but this is my message for every young girl out there, in this world we are not garrantee anything. How many women who have cancer lose their hair during their chimotherapy treatment. We shouldnt be too attached to things or people because things come and they go same thing with people. You can be grateful and cherish those things you have ( which is also my message) but dont get to point where you feel like you would die if you lose something or someone.
I believe that once you know who you are, then there's no insecurities, there's no pride, there's no competition, there's only peace and love in your heart.

I have realized; it is during the times I am far outside my element that I experience myself the most. That I see and feel who I really am, the most! I think that's what a comet is like, you see, a comet is born in the outer realms of the universe! But it's only when it ventures too close to our sun or to other stars that it releases the blazing "tail" behind it and shoots brazen through the heavens! And meteors become sucked into our atmosphere before they burst like firecrackers and realize that they're shooting stars! That's why I enjoy taking myself out of my own element, my own comfort zone, and hurling myself out into the unknown. Because it's during those scary moments, those unsure steps taken, that I am able to see that I'm like a comet hitting a new atmosphere: suddenly I illuminate magnificently and fire dusts begin to fall off of me! I discover a smile I didn't know I had, I uncover a feeling that I didn't know existed in me... I see myself. I'm a shooting star. A meteor shower. But I'm not going to die out. I guess I'm more like a comet then. I'm just going to keep on coming back.

may 18th 1988, God delivered a baby girl and He named her Clemence Uwingabiye.
Last name meaning a gift from God, He knew her before even her birth. He formed her in her mother's womb. 24 years later, she is a beautiful young women. She is sitting on her bed and it's 3:41 AM.
She is looking back at her previous years trying to grasp every little moment of it.
it is a very quiet night a peaceful night but she cant sleep. so she wakes up and start to write a letter to her Father. And it goes like this " Hello Dad, Today it's my birthday and I know you are celebrating it up there in Heaven. There's probably a big party over there I wish I were there but I just want to let you know that I am happy. I want to thank you for the breath of life, I want to thank you for your unconditional love. I sometimes don't feel your presence but I know you are always by my side. Thank you for every blessing you pour out of my life because I don't deserve any of it. I wish I would love you like you love me but I ask you to teach me how to love you. I apologize for every wrong and unpleasant thing that I have done during these 24 years of my life. I have failed you so many times and I betrayed you but because you are not like me your love never changed. You remain the same and your love is constant. I can say that life wasn't easy along the way but you provided all the strength that I needed to endure it. I pray that every thing I do may glorify your name for you are worthy of my praise and you are worthy of my love.
